I live in Palm Bay and the prospects of driving 25 minutes to get a pizza was not of great interest to me. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find a very full restaurant on a Monday with wonderful scents coming from the kitchen. My order for 2 large pizzas 18" and the Peruvian chicken wings were quite not ready. However after a short wait, the food came out to go. We drove home and opened the boxes to find very large, excellent cheese pizza and pepperoni. Neither were soggy or greasy. The crust(s) were crispy and sauce flavorful. Pizza is best in city. They also have coal fire pizza that's fabulous. They are very slow. Sometimes delivery or pickup can take up to 2 hours and several times we have received cold pizza by the time it arrived. Ready times through online ordering is often wrong as well. Genna had me at "coal-fired". This place is great. The restaurant is very casual and unassuming, we're usually greeted by the owner or another friendly staff member immediately. Our apps of choice are the Peruvian coal fired wings, or the calamari. The Peruvian wings are huge, and blackened and crispy on the outside, juicy in the inside, as all ribs should be. They come with a nice light cilantro sauce on the side but would be good with the classics too. For pizza, we have tried several, but landed on the New Yorker as our usual. We add fresh basil to this meat and ricotta slice of heaven and it's some of the best pizza I've had. Also a big fan they have coke zero on fountain and always offer to send home home with a to go cup. If you're still hungry, or just a glutton like myself, take home a slice of Mamas homemade cakes, made fresh from another local baker. Our favorites so far has been the cookies and cream. The food is very good. We were there tonight, and there appeared to be only one server handling the whole restaurant. We sat there for several minutes before our server came over to take our order. If you go into this ordeal with that in mind, you will have already set your expectations correctly and will limit your frustration. If you want pizza at 6pm on a Friday,You call at 4:30. If you want a table at 7, get there at 6. I think they only have like 2 delivery cars. You will be waiting if you order delivery. I'm not sure what the problem is. Staff, organization, training? But whatever it is, it's been this way for years. And I don't see it changing. That being said, if you can handle the waiting, you will not be disappointed. The pizza is amazing. True, foldable, huge slices. Great crust. Great flavor. It drips with grease. If you wanna dab it off with a napkin, go for it. We LOVE the coal fired pizza. The calzones and Stromboli are equally delicious. We have had a few where the toppings weren't distributed well. Overall they are great The real star is the garlic knots. Get them. Lots of them. Get the Alfredo to dip them in. You will not be sorry. Plan accordingly cause you will eat more of these than you should. Lastly, if you get take out, there's absolutely zero place to wait before picking up. Make sure you keep checking with the host to see if food is done . They don't call out names. Hands down best pizza in Melbourne. The staff always seems to be having fun even though they are constantly busy. The owner(s?) is around often and pitches in everywhere, like not above getting me a soda refill. It's always crowded and could certainly utilize a bigger space, but it's not even annoying because the pizza is THAT GOOD. Even worth waiting 2 hours for delivery on a particularly busy night. I like that napkins are on the table and are not "rationed" as they are in other restaurants. Did not have to ask for napkins. Waiter service at tables. Service was good. Free refills on soft drinks. Now for the pizza. The crust had good taste. Chewiness and crunchiness was perfect. My wife loved the crust. The waitress gave us additional cheese and some garlic powder to add to our pizza. Found many pizzerias in Melbourne, Florida. High amount of competition. This place is the highest rated therefore it was our choice, to try. There was a bit too much tomato sauce and not enough cheese on my pizza. Perhaps I should have tried the coal oven pizza instead of the NY cheese pizza. I remember how good the coal over pizza was at Frank Pepe's in New Haven, CT. The cheese on the pizza just had an average taste, nothing special to it. On our way home for the best Italian meal we've had in years. Just found this spot wouldn't have noticed it but happened upon the reviews and saw it does well. This place is my go to for pizza delivery or takeout in the Melbourne area. Love the crust, the flavor and the many choices they have . This is Italian style pizza and it's perfectly made. The place is small and popular so if you choose to dine in it will not be very fast. The service is always great tho. My favorite choices are the quarto formagio and 4 seasons, both delicious! Really enjoyed a quick visit to Genna's after visiting Melbourne for a Christmas light display at a local park. Stopped at Goodwill after, and when realizing that most local dining options were closing at 9 pm, we called Genna's and ordered a pizza for dine in in 20 minutes. We showed up at 840 to find the resturaunt still filled with patrons- a good sign- sat down, and had the pizza in 10 minutes. Pizza was a basic half cheese half pepperoni, but it couldn't have been better. Even more intriguing were the specialty pizzas that were available. There's a good menu to be sampled at Genna's! I went back yesterday and ordered a 14" Genna Special Coal Fired pizza ($18.25). It was excellent as usual. The toppings were stacked high and the crust was crispy and chewy. I ate half and took the other half home for a leftover treat. I also ordered a fountain drink ($2) with free refills. They even gave me a refill to take home! They really treat people right at Genna's and serve up excellent pizza. This is as good as it gets. Service is fast and friendly. Bathrooms are clean and spotless. read more

The other day I stopped in to order a small item to go. At the counter They told me the price was much higher than what was posted in the mailer I received so I complained and I decided not to purchase the item and left. Every time you order something at Genna's they ask for your phone number, even walk in for orders takeout. They have my phone number in their system so they knew who I was. Today I got a call from the owner. I was blown away that he would call me about such a minor item. I'm truly impressed that he would take the time to call me. He explained why the item that I was ordering had changed in price. Everything he said made sense and I completely understood the price change. more than that, I was grateful that he took the time to call a customer about a minor issue.
