The food was absolutely amazing and at a great price. Honestly, the low-star reviews seem to come from people who just had a bad day because I've never had a single bad experience at Genos. The service is always amazing, and they communicate with you and make you feel welcome. Fernando especially stands out. He's super cool, always friendly, and handles every order, whether it's dine-in, pickup, or to-go, with care and a great attitude. We ordered pizza for our family movie night from here last night the pizzas were absolutely terrible my kids wouldn't eat them we contacted the store who offered us a 1 pizza credit mind you we spent almost 85 dollars. I didn't want the credit because truthfully how bad the pizza was I was already intending to not return. We were directed to contact the owner via email which I did right away. Don't let the little amount of stars scare you off. This is REALLY, delicious, and savory pizza. Full of flavor and the crust was cooked perfectly. Great dough! My husband is from NY, NY and knows good pizza and he raved about it. Hard to find great pizza locally. Love that this is a locally owned shop and not some big chain. Ordered from Geno's Giant Slice in San Tan Valley after seeing their posts asking the community for support. After trying it, I can clearly see why they're struggling. The dough on both the pizza and cheese bread was dense, tough, and had zero crisp. The pizza itself was greasy to the point of being unpleasant. The only thing with any redeeming quality was the cheese and sauce, but the dough ruined the whole meal. Honestly, I would have been happier with a frozen Red Baron. I even made a post on Facebook about my experience, and instead of taking ownership, Geno's deflected and pointed fingers elsewhere. That told me everything I needed to know about how they run their business. Consider this a warning to others: stay away. Save your money and go anywhere else. read more

Italian sub is a waste of time. It's 80% bread 17% lettuce and other fillers and 3% lunch meat. My wife is not one to complain and she was very disappointed in the sub. Don't bother unless you like subs with no meat in them. I literally went out again to buy lunch meat for her sub. The service at this Geno's location has gone down hill greatly since my first review years ago when they first opened. The prices are comparable (actually higher) now to anywhere better and the service and food quality have gone down the toilet. There was a sea of oil on the cheese bread sticks. Had to blot it off with a paper towel. I didn't realize I had to do arts and crafts skills on food I pay for. Even Bob Ross' oil paintings would be jealous. Then there's the pizza; There was so much sauce on the pizza not only did it make the dough soggy, but the little bit of toppings there were on it were falling off with sauce glopping all over the plate -and this is with toppings now costing $3.00 a piece! Diner beware, you are getting nowhere near the amount of toppings they charge for. If anything, they are adding less even though price on toppings are higher now. Also there is now a $6.00 delivery fee on top of a tip expectation. Delivery time is pretty much always 60-90 minutes no matter when you order anymore and it doesn't matter how close you live. To add insult to injury on my most recent order, I gave a 20% tip and the driver left the order on the ground outside the front door without ringing the door bell. Just watch the video! This is what you get from Geno's. Unacceptable given the price increases, delivery fee and tip! Seriously don't order from here. They do not deserve what they charge for what they provide and I can no longer recommend. They also have a poor health score (unregulated temps and unsanitary conditions) from the AZ dept of health on yelp and now I can see why if this is the same lazy manner they take care of the restaurant! Tried out this pizzeria. We had the giant slice combo. My toppings were pepperoni and jalapeños. The crust itself was to my liking nice and thin. It was nice and hot. I cheated and used a fork n knife. Cut them into bite size squares, then used my hands. I enjoyed it so much I ate another slice (I was kinda hungry). It had a few tvs. The place was clean but here goes the missing STAR. The area smelled a lot like a bathroom even though we sat on opposite sides. I have only gone to Gino's giant slice pizza once. This was my experience, the thin crust pizza didn't have enough cheese and the wings appeared to have been boiled and then sauce put on them. I got food poisoning on May 2nd my birthday. I don't know if it was from the pizza or the soda machine that they NEVER clean. Restaurant is dirty and there was only one person working. Horrible ! This is by far the worst pizza I have ever purchased! Hardly any sauce ! Toppings were so sparse I almost walked it back inside and left on counter ! My family and I have patronized Geno's since our now high-school aged boys were in Kindergarten. We would take them to the location near their school when they were young, and then ordered pizza and subs once or twice a month for our family pizza nights ever since they opened a location near our home. We never had an issue until last Saturday night, when we had a negative experience with one of our items that was undercooked and inedible. When we were told that there was nothing they could do, I took a deep breath, and composed a complaint, stating that my family and I would now dine elsewhere. I sent the email to what a I assumed would be an automated feedback system where at least a complaint could be logged about what I considered to be an unfair business practice. I was wrong. Not only will my family and I keep ordering from Geno's, but I will do so happily and possibly, even more frequently. Within 30 minutes of sending the email, the owner of Geno's pizzas, Jaime, called me personally. After apologizing profusely, he offered a variety of options to "make it right" and maintain our patronage. When I asked to simply have the sub remade, he called the store himself and also sent me a text message letting me know when the item was on the way. Within an hour of sending that email, I was once again, happy to support a small business like Geno's. Our four boys were happy to hear the short-lived boycott was over. Now, if only every business owner cared about their customers the way that Jaime does. read more

Don't do it! I ordered from this place and I picked up a pizza that was still raw dough throughout the middle and the pizza was limp and floppy. I immediately called them and explained that my pizza wasn't cooked and maybe the oven was having some issue with temperature regulation or something. They made a new pizza for me and I drove back there and returned my limp and raw pizza and their new pizza that they made for me was worse than the first one! The second pizza was raw in the middle but now this one had edges that were scorched black and charred! I won't ever eat here again and it's obvious that the owner of this establishment never: 1. Visits this location 2. Checks on the quality of the pizzas going out his door. 3.
