I've been going to Geometry Salon for a number of years thanks to Shilo. She and Travis have been so amazingly outstanding for me. I can come up with some out there ideas and they've been along for the ride and helping me to come up with styles in between as I let them grow out. 10/10 would recommend both of them endlessly. Today that went next level when I brought my mom in for a cut with Travis. My mom cuts her own hair but her birthday is coming up and I convinced her to go get it evened out and styled. She has always had long hair but as she's gotten older her texture has changed and she's trying to learn how to style it. Now, I cannot even put into words just how understanding, gentle and wonderful he was with her. She has multiple sclerosis and sometimes it can make sitting still too long difficult. Be rolled with the punches, changed his stance as needed. The conversation was great and flowing. He made her feel so comfortable and knocked the cut out of the park. She couldn't have been more happy with the outcome. I love geometry salon! Truly the best place to be. The staff are so fun and goofy and everyone is so welcomed there. I've been going to Shawn for years and he has fixed so many of my botched styles and cuts I've been given by other stylists. When I've felt so sad about my hair and how it looks because someone else didn't put in the time and effort for me, he fixes it completely. He is extremely skilled with lightener and color corrections and color in GENERAL. I will continue going him until he decides he no longer wants to do hair. And I live in a completely different state. Hes worth the drive. All of the stylists are so talented and skilled there but if you can get a session with Shawn you won't regret it. read more

Terrible experience. Was treated absolutely awful. I made an appointment that I had to continue to reach out to get it confirmed, then was asked to come in 30 Minutes later because she was running late.. which I agreed when I arrived only 10 minutes early she said "oh wow you're here early " super rude! The other 2 people working were super polite to me and even offered me a drink, while I waited. I asked for what I wanted. Was told how damaged my hair was, which I'm aware. When I didn't want to cut off as much as Morgan wanted to cut, but asked if we could cut the damaged ends a little at a time, she refused and then said she no longer wanted to cut my hair... because I didn't want to chop 3 inches at once. Waste of my time and day... she made remarks about how I'd have to pay $50 again for another haircut later... which your concern shouldn't be my finances but cutting what I asked. Ruined my experience and probably won't return to another salon which is the reason my hair was damaged because I've been working nonstop and haven't even attempted to visit a real salon... which I will continue not to. Horrible and I felt so embarrassed and I was ashamed of how she treated me... and the whole salon should be too. read more

So it's been 9 weeks since my haircut with Sarah. I like to wait after a haircut with a new stylist to live with it, see how I manage it. It's still looking excellent! Sarah gave me the best haircut I've had in such a long time. She was gentle washing as I have a tender scalp and thick hair. And she took her time with meticulous attention and beautiful blending of gradation of length. It was just what I asked for. It looks good whether I leave it natural after washing or take time to blow dry and style. I wholeheartedly recommend Sarah for an excellent haircut. read more

Hair stylists are great but this place is so noisy! And the tiny plastic bottles and cups are anti-environment. Their prices are high and i think their standards should follow suit. They should improve the acoustics to allow one to enjoy a more "salon" type environment. read more

Let me tell you, I had one of the best experiences here! Shawn was my hair stylist and he was really just a gem. He's so smart and really knows what he's talking about, especially when it comes to hair and is he ever professional. He gave me a beautiful cut and color, and he was so easy to talk to, light hearted and funny! I feel a new sense of confidence because of it and I can't wait until my next appointment with Shawn! I am new to Sacramento and new to coloring my hair as well. I had my hair dyed copper/red in August in my hometown of Atlanta, and my roots had grown out almost an inch! I live close to geometry salon and found (read: stalked) all of the stylists' instagrams to find who I might want to book with. I settled on Shawn Burke and booked with him ASAP. After a few impatient weeks, I had my appointment today- 9/27/21- with Shawn for a cut and color. He is warm, professional, and communicates so well!! He did a thorough consultation with me about my hair history, my long term goals and my goals for this particular appointment. He managed my expectations from the start of the appointment, and developed a plan of how to achieve my long term hair goals. He did such a great job at translating my vague, non-professional descriptions of what I want into practical, attainable terms - the sign of a true skilled, professional! I appreciate that he affirmed products that I am currently using at home and made appropriate recommendations for products I should add into my routine to maximize the health of my hair and the color retention. Most people praise stylist for wonderful colors out on their hair. I'm here to praise stylist Mone't for the brilliant job she did with removing the color from my daughter's hair. My 5th grade daughter came home from her father's with the bottom six inches of her hair dyed purple. Non-natural colors are against the rules at her Montessori school. Her father *knows* this but he simply chose to ignore the rules. Consequences be damned! It took nearly 3 hours and multiple steps but Mone't is a genius! If you want to color your hair this might be the right place. But if you have natural blond hair and need a trim you should not choose this salon. They just cut them, no shape, no effort.
