We were in Kenneth Village in Glendale picking up our tax papers. When we returned to our vehicle, I noticed a small restaurant across the street, George's Cucina Italiano. After a brief discussion and checking reviews, we decided to give it a try for a late lunch/early dinner. My wife said it was an adventure and I said that I would take the blame if it wasn't up to our expectations. Well it turned out to be a beautiful meal in a cozy little place that worthy of the village atmosphere. Laura was helpful and patient as we perused their extensive menu. We each ordered a glass of Chianti that was very good. We split an antipasto salad that was tasty, fresh and plentiful. My wife built her own pasta dish of fettuccine in Alfredo sauce with chicken. I tried hers and it was superb. The sauce was excellent. I ordered a favorite dish that I have tried at several different Italian restaurants from Carlsbad to San Pedro and nearby in La Canada. It's a seafood pasta and at this restaurant it's called Penne Frutti Del Mare. It's penne pasta in a garlic butter sauce with clam, mussels and shrimp. It's by far the best pasta that I have ever tasted. The flavor was excellent and I enjoyed it thoroughly. We were only one of two customers in the place but we learned from the other patron that she's been dining there for 25 years. We will definitely be back and have no problem making the twenty minute drive to get more of their fine Italian cuisine. This is for a delivery order. Food arrived piping hot, well packaged, and smelling amazing. We ordered 4 pasta dishes and everyone enjoyed their food. Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo (5/5) this was saucy, but not soupy and the butter, cream and cheese flavors were the stars. Grilled chicken was juicy and plentiful. Eggplant Parmesan Penne (4/5) with meatballs (6/5). Hubby, who lives black pepper said,"it got too much pepper", but everything else about it was really good, those meatballs are awesome. My wife an I came across this place through IG and we said let's try it since it's close to our house. Probably one of the best decisions we made as far as making a dinner plan for Italian food. The food is amazing and affordable. The service is out of this world, we had the pleasure of meeting Laura and Ashley. They both made us feel like we at home and welcome. They were extremely friendly and professional. they've been working there for a long time. The Resturant is very cozy feels like you are in a small village in Italy. She was the only one hosting and waiting tables, and somehow still managed to be welcoming, friendly, and attentive to everyone. She handled everything so smoothly and never once seemed overwhelmed. Butter & garlic gnocchi was very salty (and I usually like salty things!) So maybe I'd try a different sauce next time? The gnocchi wasn't the best texture either. I'm not sure what the specialty of this place is, but this wasn't it. Lots of garlic, tho, which is nice if you enjoy lots of garlic. Broccoli was broccoli crowns in butter, seasoned. These were alright but very basic for $11. I haven't tried their pizza and it seems that's what's recommended, so if I ever tried this place again, it would be for the pizza. I feel like most of the cost of this place is its location, which is adorable right along the commercial block of Kenneth. Service was very kind and accommodating, and there are clearly a lot of regular who come in here with their families. A very communal neighborhood place, and that is always a delight. We were staying in a B& B a few blocks away, and decided to give this locals spot a try. We were committed to having only pizza and salad however we now want to go back and try some of their lovely main course dishes. The night we were there (a weekend) it was packed with several large parties so was rather noisy and our table was in the walkway with a steady stream of folks coming in for to-go orders. I recommend making reservation no matter what, and if you are a smaller party, ask for a table by the window so you will have a better ambiance experience. With that said, the salad and pizza were delicious, the crust was great note the toppings were not heavy as in many Americanized versions of pizza, this was served with a sprinkling of toppings which helped keep the crust just right and not soggy after a few minutes. We had Italian beer with our meal and it was delightful. They do have a nice selection of wine. The service was great despite how busy it was. We will try an early weeknight next time! read more

We usually order pizza for takeout which is amazing! Our favorite is the prosciutto pomodoro followed by the sausage or the deluxe, also love the Greek pizza. With that said we have been coming here for over 20 years! The rest of the menu has been good in the past..... that was until tonight with a new menu and it was ANAZING!!!! Everyone ordered something different. The lobster risotto was in my wife's words to die for! I had the roso alpano with gnocchi and chicken, so amazing!! Everyone else loved the food as well. Everything was perfect from the shrimp and artichokes with pasta, the cheese tortellini with sausage and red sauce to the eggplant parmigiana. It was truly an amazing night and our server Ashley is.... as always just amazing and a huge part of the amazing dining experience. My favorite dish is their baked ziti w/ red sauce. They also have a good pizza and vegetarian hot sandwich. I love that they give you garlic bread with tomato topping included with your meal.
