George's is a plumbing jewelry store (jewelry prices) with 2 showrooms and a plumbing supply area. You get what you pay for. I can find cheaper alternatives but want items which won't need to be replaced along with multiple plumbing charges. Everyone at George's is nice. (Lane in plumbing supplies helped when I had a flat tire.) I purchased a shower set when my bathroom was remodeled to make it safe for my parents (replaced a bathtub with a walk-in shower, installed a grab bar, river rock flooring for traction, etc). Beth Ngo patiently explained the overwhelming options and finishes. (George's has a huge inventory. Check out their web site.) I gravitated toward fixtures which cost a vital organ. In an effort to economize I reluctantly decided to get a different pair of taps. Beth showed me less expensive taps which looked like the ones I wanted. To this day when I take a shower I think, "Thank you, Beth." I would hate staring at those other taps. Beth suggested (no pressure) replacing my sink fixture so everything matches. The sink is not inside the bathroom. Who would notice? I didn't want to splurge. Flash forward 8 years: I was forced to retire due to a severe disability and cannot hold down a job. I live off dwindling savings and SSDI (spent in 2 weeks due to specialists who don't accept Medicare). The C on the right sink tap fell off, trapped inside the ugly plastic knob. "Oh, well. Everyone knows the right tap is for cold water." Last month the H disappeared. "Oh, well. Everyone knows the left is for hot water." The base of the left tap is corroded. The drain refused to plug. I deserved a new fixture. Although I would be spending a lot of money, I was excited to visit George's. (I love staring at jewelry, even plumbing related.) Beth is still there! She remembered what I bought! (I brought a photo just in case.) Beth showed me an affordable faucet - water pours out like a waterfall - I'm SO thrilled with the design; 2 towel racks (one threatened to fall off the wall twice); and a toilet paper holder (may as well). I thanked her numerous times for the shower taps. I will never earn another paycheck but if I have to buy anything plumbing-related (should I replace the sink?), I'm going to George's where I'll get great service and quality worth the price. read more

Shopping at George's was a big mistake. At their shop, salespeople are busy on their computers, ignore the customers and it's ten or fifteen minutes before anyone will come to help you. I was sold an expensive faucet that a week later my plumber said wouldn't work with my plumbing set up. I returned the faucet and was charged a 25% restocking fee. My credit card refund didn't come for three weeks. When I went to the shop to ask about my refund, again salespeople were busy on their computers and ignored me. I had to go out to the parking lot and call them from my cell phone to get any response. This is not a place where you want to shop unless you're desperate for specific expensive items that you can't get anywhere else. read more

Recently started shopping for a bathroom remodel. Came by George's but they were closed for a holiday weekend, so we went to Ferguson's. The sales girl was helpful and got a quote on what we needed. Next weekend we went to George's. Paynal helped us. I was very impressed with his total knowledge of the products. He knew where they were made, model differences and comparisons between different brands. He made some wonderful suggestions of things we had not considered. When we compared prices, Georges was more reasonable. We were very pleased and I completed my purchase today. I have had occasion to use the parts department over the years. They are wonderful as well. Lane is very knowledgeable and has been a great help. Thanks to him I was able to keep my old Case Toilet running for years. I do understand the great reviews. The showroom was stunning. I went here, however, because I had hurt my knees and needed to buy a high toilet. I specified how many inches high over the phone and they indicated they had one in stock. I went there and had a not so great experience. I had a sales person desperately try to up-sell me on things I didn't need or want. The one thing I did need they didn't have. The seller was pushy and tried to convince me a lower toilet would be fine because I was sitting on one so, clearly, in his opinion, it would work for me. I was sitting on it in desperation because at the time I needed a cane to walk and I had been standing for longer than was necessary to find out it was a waste of a trip. He spent a long time explaining to me how I should get a toilet with an elongated bowl for a boyfriend I don't currently have. I ultimately went somewhere else and special ordered a high toilet. I must say after this experience, that I went to Home Depot and they said that it would be nearly impossible to fulfill my request because toilets nowadays are sold in a specified number of inches and the way to get the additional inches would be with a thicker toilet seat. I appreciated this 10 second explanation because it turned my wild goose chase into a very simple transaction. My knees are better now but boy am I glad I didn't spend $900 for a toilet because that boyfriend who desperately needs a $900 toilet can buy his own and put it in HIS house. read more

Our contractor told us that he wouldn't warranty a problem should we buy from Home Depot, Lowes, Amazon and alike. He explained to us that the quality for the same model was lower in those stores so he wanted us to go to a plumbing store. After searching around, we went to George's Plumbing. To be honest, just out of curiosity because we didn't have the budget to get luxurious fixtures and the store looks pretty fancy. Paynal greeted us, we told him we had no idea of the prices in that kind of store and explained to him that we love quality but can't afford California Faucets. He was very nice about it and walked us through the different ranges. Their low range is much better than anything I have look at at the other stores, even in the high range. We were actually pleasantly surprised by the fixtures we were able to buy and the experience with Paynal. We returned for several other things after that and should we need plumbing fixture in the future, we will go directly to George's. read more

Service is horrible here. I ordered a drain for my Victoria + Albert tub and had to wait 4 weeks. It was only when I called to cancel the order since having not heard back for 1 month did they say it was on the way and will arrive that Friday for pick up. At the time of pick up, I decided to browse the showroom, by the way is very nice. Against my instincts, once again thought I tried their service out again. I ordered a shower system 3 weeks ago and still haven't heard back though the sales person said he would call me in about a week. I'm thinking I should just take my losses and go elsewhere with a little more care for their smaller customers...I get the feeling I need to drop a very big chunk of $$$$ to get any kind of customer service. read more

I recently remodeled 2 bathrooms at the same time! Someone recommended George's and i'm so glad I ordered through them. I worked with Beth who was incredibly knowledgeable and took the guesswork out of it. I'm not even sure how anyone could know what to order without a place like this because it just wouldn't occur to most of us to order certain parts. and i was a newby. I also had to return and exchange items here and there, which was very much my fault as I didn't measure correctly. and she was always accommodating and understanding. they stand by their products which is also wonderful. I bought an Icera toilet per their recommendation which they said never clogs. Well it clogs all the time... and our Kohler toilets in the rest of the house do not have this problem. It could be because it is a "water saving" toilet so each flush uses less water and therefore has less power to flush... Nevertheless, dealing with clogs is not fun. I wish George's Plumbing would not have told me Icera toilets don't clog and are the best in the industry. It is completely bad information. read more

Is there a way of giving George's Plumbing six stars? My wife and I embarked on the daunting task of doing an extensive remodel to a home we had recently purchased. Being an architect, I knew how much of a strain that can put on a relationship. The work included a complete remodel of two bathrooms and the kitchen. Our contractor recommended George's Plumbing. Wanting to do our homework, we checked out three other suppliers and George's definitely had the best selection and the most competitive prices. We interacted with several knowledgable and helpful sales associates there, but our main contact person was Mike Rittenberg. Mike was pleasant, knowledgable and had great advice for us. Once we had made our selections, deliveries were on time and the faucets, drains, etc. did not disappoint. Towards the end of the project we decided to add one more bathroom to the scope. Mike ensured that we stayed on schedule. On a couple of occasions we had a few issues with what had been delivered to George's by the manufacturer and each time Mike resolved the problem professionally and with a great attitude. Wish I had found this place sooner! I was looking for a particular pedestal sink with matching toilet that had a 6 week wait for the sink. I call and speak to Bob as I was told they may have at least the toilet in stock. Turns out there was a brand I had no idea existed that Bob recommended instead because it looked more authentic for my vintage remodel. And they had the sink/toilet in stock! Bob had the tub overflow assembly I needed for my old cast iron tub too. I just described the 1940s tub I had and he knew exactly what I was talking about. Bob is a plethora of bath knowledge. I will definitely go back to them if I ever need another plumbing fixture or faucet. read more

George's is a company that you want to keep around. I've been using George's since 1987. I was surprised to read some of the negative reviews because they do not reflect the overall stellar quality of this company. First, plumbing is one of the most important things to get right in your home. These people know what they are doing. Since they have lots of clients who are design professionals, the average consumer might feel a little "at sea" at first. If the sales people are busy and don't immediately come up to you, be patient. You will be able to track someone down when you are ready for more information. I've done two extensive remodels over the years on an historic home. The first time I told George's the brand I wanted to buy to update the master bath. It was pretty, but turned out to have a defective ceramic disc system. Too late for me because it was installed behind tile! So now I always ask about reliability and ease of maintenance of a product before I buy. (Some people don't care and just want the "look"--I consider overall cost and longevity.) The second time around, I asked George's for the best quality, best value and most reliable products to consider . . . and got excellent advice and service. I didn't choose the most expensive or prettiest options, but I made an informed decision that suited me. Every day, I love the decisions I made. Maintenance and replacement parts are a whole different issue and equally important to me. Again, George's ranks way above the other retailers who simply sell you the product. Lane is a wonderful problem solver and patient with those of us who are willing to learn! George's is a locally owned company and resource that I feel very lucky to have available. read more

While redoing a 30 year old condo went to Georges for the first time. Our sales person was Allen (Love him!) We was fantastic to work with. The quality is great and prices reasonable.
