Service was terrible. Me and my family waited for our food for at least 20 minutes despite us being the only people in there. They eventually came to us and said "Oh sorry we don't have the ingredients to make your food" LIKE WHAT!? And trust me I know 20 minutes doesn't seem like too long then let me tell you, IT WAS THE LONGEST 20 MINUTES EVER. On the inside there were some old photos but nothing special. My friend and I stopped by at the George's Lighthouse Cafe for an early lunch. It's a pleasant eatery with a bar, food station and a small shopping store inside as well as outdoor seats. I enjoyed a few Montauk draft beer, which was about $8 USD. They also had a great beach cocktail selection. I was debating if I should get the lobster taco or the fried shrimps. I'd ended up having the fried shrimp tacos with lots of delicious French fries. Food was a bit pricey here. We ended our stay here by enjoying the view of the lighthouse and Atlantic Ocean by sitting outside. I heard visiting here in the evening and watching the sunset is mind blowing. I totally recommend this place since the restaurants and bars are a bit away from Montauk Point Lighthouse. The bartenders and the chefs were cheerful and pleasant. I'm looking forward to visit again in the warmer months. read more

A small little eatery within the montauk lighthouse grounds where you can get food, drinks, or a light snack, as well as the other portion is a gift shop. The cafe has definitely changed a lot in my time going out there. Food is okay, nothing special for their prices. Drinks are great as most of them are made with Montaukila a local tequila brand. As you can see on the map, no place nearby just park trees and ocean so, of course, the tourist attraction places the price point will be higher than regular but people is willing to pay as there are on vacation, why not? Anyway, I got an ice cream, fried calamari and soda. I was thinking about get some cocktail, but I saw that only few workers and they were busy, so I didn't want to bother them. Decent but overpriced food with little portion sizes. The fish and chips meal came with 2 normal sized fried fish with seasoned fries under. The chicken tender meal came with only 3 small chicken tenders and fries that barely had any meat in it. We also got the jumbo pretzel which was actually pretty good and huge. Since this was the only food spot near the Montauk lighthouse, I'm not complaining too much since we were hungry. But service was slow and nothing special at all. read more

Out visiting the lighthouse, and didn't expect to find a lunch spot near there. Lemme clarify, didn't expect to find a DELICIOUS lunch spot near. I got to try their lobster roll ($24) and blackened fish sandwich ($16). So worth, everything was amazing. They jam packed the lobster, which was super fresh and lightly dressed. They are very generous with the fish, as well. The sandwich/rolls came with a side of French fries, which were to die for and a refreshing cole slaw. George's Lighthouse Cafe is a Most Welcomed sight on a freezing cold day after sightseeing at the Lighthouse. You're gonna want to put in your order and work your way towards the fireplace for warmth. This place has little to no heat otherwise, so keep that in mind when the outdoor temperatures fall. This Cafe is the only place around and they know that so make sure you bring your wallet. Still, the Drinks are flowing, Tunes are Cranked and the Burgers are Deliciously Charred. Plus the Surrounding Ocean Views help make it all worthwhile. Business hours are the same as the Park's so they close at Sunset. Come and get your Munch on!! read more

This place is a really nice spot to grab a drink or some food after seeing the lighthouse or checking out the beach. The view is amazing and the bartenders were nice. Went to see the lighthouse and hike. When we were done we stopped in to have a snack. It's a cute place with a nice patio area that has seating with a water view. We ordered the mozzarella sticks (yum!) and the seafood combo, which came with clam strips, calamari and a piece of cod with fries. Everything was good minus the calamari. Easily the best customer service I experienced while visiting Montauk over Fourth of July weekend. The woman who took our order was so kind and easy to talk to while the other staff, including the cook, made us feel welcome and comfortable in the cafe. Absolutely disappointing. Very overpriced, so be forewarned. Food and service was equally terrible. Order takers forget what you ordered and gives them out to people who came after you. Then, when we asked about our order, we are told that they have run out and we get our money back after waiting for it for 20 mins. All the food came frozen and heated up in hot oil. My wife had heard of GLC being open so we figured we would check it out on the way home, I it seemed nice, had all the intentions of making it our destination spot next trip out to Montauk which we do several times in the off season. Leaving I bought a small coffee for the road home. That 12OZ CUP OF COFFEE COST $6.50 !!! & it was horrible. I was courteously given my change, with a smile. I let the cashier know that that the establishment of George's lighthouse café should be ashamed of themselves charging $6.50 for that cup of coffee. It cost them any future of my business.
