Their food tasted great, their service was quick and were very tentative and responsive. The ambiance was very relaxing.

The BBQ was a little bit dry but good and I think needed the sauce. From a Texan purist who likes to eat the meat without saucing it to get the pure essence of it. But at the same time I do understand the difference between backyard cooking for family & friends amount to having to ramp up the amounts of meat they must have to make on a regular basis to feed the multitudes of unknown people that come through their doors. So that is extremely understandable! Their sides were good and usually I ignore the sides because BBQ MEAT but theirs were good! I know of a place that shall remain nameless that actually thinks Brussel sprouts are a good side for bbq, but people's tastes are different. The service was excellent and our server was helpful, kind, and gave us extra time to let us look through the menu for the newbys (us) in the group. The atmosphere was typical bbq joint wood walls with the normal kitschy things that people collect. It gave you things to look at and comment on without distracting you or poking you in the ribs as you walked by. The parking was a bit of a challenge having to park on the street but you don't have to pay and it's not hard to look for a spot, they just don't have a dedicated parking area. All in all a pretty great place to head out for a nice platter of great eats! read more

Food was ok. Service was terrible. Our waitress forgot to put our order n, when the couple next to is hot food before us after arriving 20 minutes after us I spoke up. It was oops. I'll put that in now. When our food arrived mine was wrong. I asked for different bread on my sandwich and she admitted that she forgot to make that change. They took my plate back and I got it 5 minutes after my family and the sides were all stone cold. All this with a 18% gratuity that's added in. We won't be back anytime soon! Nick. My family and I were in Frederick and decided to eat lunch at Georgia Boys. We ended up ordering some brisket sandwiches and a brisket quesadilla. For dessert we had a cookie with ice cream! Onto the food! The brisket sandwich was pretty above standard. One issue I found with the sandwich was that it was a tad bit too dry. This was fixed by some mild bbq sauce. The brisket quesadilla was about the same. Cheesy and juicy with meat. An excellent combination for a pretty reasonable price. The dessert cookie was surprisingly good. It reminded a lot of a pizookie from BJ's. The cookie was fresh out the oven and the ice cream was amazing! It tasted like vanilla bean, but either way it accompanied the cookie nicely. Overall, Georgia Boys was a pretty good choice for our lunch. I do plan on trying their 3 meat combo when I come back to Frederick! read more

Out of all the places I eat at around the globe I always find one common thing that sets the best places apart from the average places and it's the staff! The waitress Katie at this place is a prime example of the exemplary rare finds one finds in the restaurant industry. Personality goes along ways and can make up for a lot of under par things to keep customers returning. The food here however was not under par but exceptional and the bbq sauces they offered were unique and amazing especially the ghost heat! Will definitely be returning to try their French dip which was highly recommended! Good job Georgia Boys! read more

It's been awhile since we've been here but found ourselves in Longmont today at theTree Farm and headed over for lunch. The place filled up while we were there and was glad to see them doing a nice dine in as well as carry out business. I strayed from my usual of pulled pork and went with Brunswick Stew. I was not disappointed. The stew was flavorful, had lots of veggies and a nice amount of pulled pork in it. Came with a piece of cornbread which was moist and good. Husband ordered brisket plate with 2 sides Cole slaw and baked beans. We were informed that the cost of brisket had gone up and prices had been adjusted accordingly. Ok. Plate arrived and the brisket was dry and lacked flavor. Looked like it was a holdover from the day before. Talked with our server who apologized and took it back and brought out another plate which looked better, was moister but still lacked flavor. Very lean cut of meat which could be the problem. He ate it. It was just OK. Side of beans was super good and cole slaw was good as well. The beef didn't live up to what it should have been. Have never been disappointed in this place before. Will come back again and see if the quality is where it should be. read more

When you can smell the bbq'd meat from outside I knew Georgia Boys was going to be delicious. They open at 11am and are closed on Mondays (yes I tried once). They offer a full menu that includes salads, sandwiches, plates and even something called the Barnyard challenge for $40. It is a whole mess of meat, fries, etc that you have to finish in an hour or less by yourself. While I love meat this wasn't for me (at least my first time). I started with an order of the smoked wings that have dry rub spice on them. Based on the waitresses recommendation I got two sauces on the side for dipping. The honey sriracha is no joke. First it's sweet then comes the heat. The buffalo sauce was also good but somewhat typical. For my entree I had the burnt ends on Texas toast with Swiss cheese, bacon and fries as the side. The burnt ends were delicious with good smoke rings and only a bit of fat. I almost should have had them without cheese or bacon to better savor the meat. They offer three BBQ sauces. I tried the mop sauce (a little of everything),amd regular. They offer a spicy sauce. After the yummy and hot wing sauce I didn't want any more heat. Good service and it was filling up quickly as we left. Large bar area behind the main dining room mean they have a good number of tables. read more

How does a restaurant advertise on Door Dash and then when you place an order through Door Dash, the restaurant cancels your order. I mean WTF? What kind of policy is this? To me it's rather discriminatory. I mean business is business and additional orders from customers are not supposed to be cancelled. It's unfortunate because this restaurant does offer delicious food. But apparently they "pick and choose what customers will actually be able to order from them. As a guy who has enjoyed BBQ in Kansas City, Memphis and south Texas I'll preface by saying Colorado is lucky to have this little place open and serving!! I was brought here by by some friends while on business and I tell you, the company was fantastic and their taste in food proved to be impeccable!!! What a unique and awesome little spot to service the local blue collar workers on this area. Such a great place to camp out and enjoy a locally brewed beverage and have a filling and well crafted meal. I started with BBQ nachos and these did NOT disappoint. A pile of chips was topped with an ample amount of cheese and epic portions of smoked briskit. What a way to start the night! One thing that stuck out to me while sitting here was the 3 sauces on the table. The original BBQ, the spicy (which packed a punch!!) And the mop sauce. MOP sauce!! It was wonderful with my 2 meat combo plate. If you don't know what mop sauce is look it up. While doing that try it on your beef or pulled pork. It's spots like this that make me love travelling about our fine country and I'm proud to have enjoyed a meal here with friends. I'll be sure to be back if up this way again!!! read more

I've been visiting here since I moved to the area in 2014. The food is still great and the service is usually good as well. However, on our last visit the management has taken up a rather troubling practice. When we got our bill I noticed an 18% "service charge" added. Ok, so yeah, its another name for a gratuity charge. We've all seen this and even expect it for large groups. But there were only 3 of us. So, when I asked about it I was told they aren't adding tips the old way to cards sp they are doing it this way. I usually tip pretty good for good service. And yes, our server did a fine job but in my opinion 18% is a rather high tip. And this leaves no room at all for service other than the absolutely best possible. We all know the not all servers are even capable of this kind of service much less hit that bar on a regular basis. So now they've taken away the incentive for the servers to do well for a better tip. If our service had been poor and I had then seen this I would've had a major problem and maybe have led to a scene. I tell what this has done and what it means for me. I will not be back to dine in again. I will probably order out from time to time but when it comes to dining in, Georgia Boys will NOT be an option. read more

We liked the food at the Longmont location enough that we tried the Frederick location. Parking at both locations is a challenge but we found street parking and it worked out. Over all the visit was good and the service was good. The only compliant I had was we tried the sliced brisket this time and it was more like shoe leather. Dry , not much flavor . But the ribs again were stellar and the hot wings we're on point. My kid loved the chicken tenders and I when I tried a bite I can see why they were excellent. read more

We decided to drive an hour to enjoy some allergen friendly bbq. Websites lists dairy free, gluten free, etc. as we start to order we were informed by our server Ashley that the gluten free fries were flash fried in a common fryer. As were the wings, etc. hence NOT gluten free. What I felt...super disappointed. What I will say is Ashley asked about everything for our allergens. But anything in a shared fryer is NOT gluten, dairy or anything allergen free. All sauces contain dairy. Aka milk, casein so if you want "dry" meat you're ok. I will say the burnt ends were good but would've been better with sauce. Hubby ordered ribs plus brisket but only got ribs. On a side note their patio is very nice. Need a upgrade to chairs as many were broken & for anyone especially my 6'8 240# man needed something that felt more stable but first world problems right?? It's set in ideal Fredrick & today 78 degrees was amazing! Will share almost $200 for 4 of us was steep. We will happily pay for good food but the labeled gf not being truly gf was a huge disappointment. Hope this helps you! read more

Food was good. Service was abysmal. We waited 10 minutes to talk to the waitress for drinks, and it took her 25 to come back to take our order. During that time, our drinks (beers) were poured and sat on the bar next to dirty glasses getting warm for 10 minutes until someone finally noticed and delivered them. For some reason, our waitress took the orders of everyone on the patio before actually inputting any of the food into the system, which delayed it even further. When our food was finally delivered, a different waitress brought out our food with plates stacked on top of other plates, with bottoms of plates touching food on other plates. Someone in my party made a remark about how maybe the waitress should have done two trips, and she responded with "If I had done two trips, I would have forgotten to come back. You would only have gotten half your food." Yikes. When our food was delivered, we had no extra plates (as we all ordered the shareable meals) and had to ask two separate staff members for plates. Thoroughly unimpressed, will not be returning. read more
