Took my dad here for his birthday. He loves baked potatoes, so this was a special treat for him. First time for all of us here. The place is small and has decent amount of seating. They also do have patio seating. Natalie provided excellent service and kindness. She helped us on how to order and their menu. My dad got the lobster baked potato and loaded it. I also got the lobster potato, but stuck to more on the plain side. My mom got the pulled pork and loaded her potato too. We all got the combo meal and all got Mac n cheese sides. FYI, the baked potatoes are pretty hearty. Their lemonades are delicious. The baked potatoes were very hot, soft, and fresh. Mac n cheese was good. Everything tasted so savory. The cookies were a perfect little touch of subtle lemon and sweetness. We all loved the place and look forward to coming back and trying other potatoes. I have not been to a place like this.

This place has become our go to once a week. It's perfect for when you don't wanna cook but want something filling. The staff is exceptionally friendly and the food is fantastic.

Visiting from Dallas, TX with my family for a wedding, we were craving a loaded spud and came across this local spot that serves an awesome variety of potatoes. The workers were friendly and professional, and we even got the chance to meet the owner during our visit. He was a super chill guy with a ton of knowledge about spuds, which made the experience even better. If you're looking for a great loaded spud, this is definitely the place to visit. I'll be sharing this local gem with my buddies who live in Colorado. Great find! Make sure to visit them on Thanksgiving for a pleasant surprise

Arrived at big bear potato, nice small establishment very clean and nice little decor. Went with my grandchildren and my son and we each ordered our potatoes. My grandson and my son ordered the Lobster Maine my older grandson or the Ralphie and I ordered the great divide. My son also ordered the big bear to go. Man, the potatoes were big, but the ingredients that was on top of each one was awesome. It was very fulfilling. I could only eat one, but you also got a side order of macaroni and cheese, which was really good. So I would recommend going there. It might be a long drive, but it's worth it. If we get a chance, I know we'll go back. Hopefully they'll get other locations closer into town because we came from Aurora. and I can't forget the owner came to the table held conversation. He was very polite great customer service and we even got some honey suckers that was made from real honey.

Been dying to try this place since I drove by it a couple weeks ago. I was not disappointed! Such a cute location, great ambiance. The owner was super cool and very helpful. I had the Big Bear potato and it was DELICIOUSSSS. The Mac and cheese was on point too. I will be a frequent flyer from here on out, and will also be recommending to all my friends! If you're thinking about eating here, DO IT!

I have driven here twice and both times they have been sold out. Great advertising on social media... if you can actually get a potato.

Since we were…read moretraveling from out of state we made a reservation ahead of time - although on a Wednesday evening at 5pm, it wasn't super critical, as the restaurant never got completely full. There are multiple seating options - inside, patio, or rooftop. We opted for the rooftop and the vibes were excellent. The weather was gorgeous and the rooftop patio is nicely decorated with live plants and a big bar running the length of the patio. Our server was excellent. I think his name was Danny. One of our party has an alcohol intolerance, so needs to avoid foods cooked with alcohol. Danny was super helpful in guiding our menu options with this information. He confirmed multiple dishes with the chef before we ordered. For food, we started with the Truffle Parm Fries, Fried Brussels Sprouts, and the Bangin' Cauliflower. All were delicious. The cauliflower was extremely good, I can see why so many reviews mention it. For entrees, our group ordered the Short Rib Tacos, Jumbo Crab Cakes, Chilean Salmon, and the Avocado Salad with Seared Ahi. No complaints around the table. The meat in the Short Rib tacos is super tasty. Portions were good sized, however the Crab Cake dish is definitely smaller than the others. Good option if you aren't super hungry. The Chilean Salmon was cooked perfectly. We didn't really have any complaints at all. Solid dining experience. Would definitely return if I'm ever back in the Longmont area.

The main improvement The Roost could make would be letting the GM, J. Suniga return to Burger King,…read moreor whatever fast food franchise from which they hired him. The next improvement would be training employees that when a customer makes a request to pay the bill, the answer is "Yes, I will take care of that." Instead I received, a snippy "Notify your server." My response, "No, I'm the customer, you're employed here. I just agreed to pay a ridiculous sum for a cocktail and an appetizer, so YOU find whoever needs to receive my payment!" Her feelings were hurt, so she played the "You-don't-need-to-speak-to-me-that-way" card. Eventually she recovered from the trauma and found an Official Roost Bartender to give me the bill. Mr. Suniga explained that he did not pay her to receive payments. As a solution, her "manager" advised I avoid The Roost in the future. Apparently, customers who want to pay are not welcome? Good advice for me and any other prospective customers!

Unfortunately, this visit was completely different. The service was extremely disappointing from start to finish. We waited about 20 minutes just for drinks and eventually had to go up to the bar ourselves. When we asked about it, the bartender simply said, "I'm working on it," which was frustrating given how long we had already been waiting. There were 4 tales in the restaurant and like 8 employees Things did not improve from there. Our food came out very slowly and one of the meals had to be sent back. We ended up having to go to the bar multiple times, including for a to go box and even to get our check, because no one was checking on our table. To make matters worse, the menu states that guests are asked to limit their visit to 90 minutes. However, due to the slow and inattentive service, we were there for nearly two hours through no fault of our own. There also used to be a sense of customer service here, which seems to have changed. To top it off, gratuity was automatically added without it being mentioned or explained. That felt especially inappropriate considering we ended up doing a large portion of the service ourselves. It's like they figured they were getting auti gratuity so didn't provide any service Really disappointing experience overall. Not sure what changed, but this was a huge step down from our previous visit.

My daughter does not have a taste for beer so she sampled the seltzer and settled on the Cherry Popper. I am always for the dark beers so after trying a sample of the brown and the stout, I chose Wired Greasy Grinder milk stout. The seltzer was interesting as it was not back-sweetened like so many are. It was more like a flavored sparkling water, but with alcohol. She really liked it. The milk stout had a wonderful malty, roasty flavor that I love. When my friend arrived, she chose the same as me and we all sat and enjoyed some conversation. This is a nice location tucked away just off I-25. I look forward to visiting again.

The suds-slinger made their recommendations &, I'd trust this guy with my children, he was so spot on. The Wired Greasy Grinder Milk Stout $7/16oz is phenomenal (awards confirm) - incredibly well-balanced & a come-back-for-more flavor. This one went home with us. Blown Tire - a very solid red/amber - no bitter finish, very smooth and easy to drink.
