You could try all of their yummy sauces. The spicy one was my fave. hubby liked the original. We decided on a sandwich plate and a two meat plate. We share things. The servings here are quite large.. Everything was top-notch. The chicken and the rib plate were both so tender and juicy at the same time. Seriously would come back for these two things alone. All the barbecue sauces were good to try. My sides were yummy. My hubby's brisket sandwich was a hit! The meat was so plentiful and tender. Great bun, didn't fall apart. Came with some homemade pickles and a side side. Between the two of us we had three sides. Hush puppies-small and easy to eat crispy and good. Green beans sautéed with bacon and onions. Excellent loved these. The third side we tried was a cornbread? cream, cheese,hatch chili casserole? I really couldn't taste the hatch chilies at all, and it was very loose more like a pudding, then a casserole. my least favorite bite this meal. Here were signs of caramel and chocolate sauce on the plate but you couldn't taste them. The brownie was warm on the edges but when you got past that it had an old stale taste. Our favorite barbecue place in Longmont now! We were diehard Ribhouse fans and when it closed down, we tried other barbecue in town just gave up. However, a friend gave us a gift card to Dave's so we gave it a shot- and boy are we glad we did! I ordered for delivery 24 hours in advance through door dash. Delivery was scheduled for a deliver time of approximately 4:15. At 4:09 I received a text that Smokin Dave's could not full fill the order. This was a gift for a family going through a crises, there was no time to make other arrangements. I call the Smokin Dave's and was fed a lot of excuses and the Manager threatened me with retaliation, no resolution was offered. It's was the grossest tasting, greasing, wet, disgusting pulled pork we have ever had. None of us finished it in fact two bites was two to many to be honest. When we brought up that the pork was not good, the waitress argued with us - The waitress was not very apologetic at all and insulting. Then the manager come over argued with us too and informed us that we didn't need to come back again! So believe me we won't be going back and I so hope no one else will!! Buffalo Ribs: First time I've ever had Buffalo ribs, couldn't pass 'em when I saw them on the menu. However, I don't think I'd order them again. Not sure if it was due to being prepared poorly, but I doubt it. Buffalo is a much leaner and slightly tougher meat. I suspected that they may be tougher off the bone, and that was exactly the case. Despite having a tasty rub and Blackberry BBQ sauce, I would opt for the pork ribs over the Buffalo. The Mac and Cheese was delicious, some of the best BBQ beans I've had and solid corn bread. I spent many a year in the promised land of BBQ... the greatest state in this here nation: Texas. I shed tears during my goodbye to Texas BBQ, but Smokin Dave's forced from me tears of joy! While, of course, different from Texas style BBQ, this spot offers a great variety of meats, sandwiches and sauces. Better yet, there's a healthy draft beer menu to wash it all down. My brother in law loves the "Man Handler" after a trek up Long's Peak, but we found the Roasted Chicken (bathed in the sweet sauce) to be pretty darn good. If you're feeling ready to put down some serious meat, the Buffalo ribs are a solid gamier option with some stellar blackberry bbq sauce. I'd like to try the more traditional pork ribs next time. As for the sides, that Mac and Cheese will make a grown man cry. The baked beans, green beans and corn bread were also solid. I visited one evening for dinner - with the intention of ordering BBQ. I sat at the bar. But I was seduced by the temptation of "smoked meatloaf." And am I ever glad I tried it. I ordered sides of green beans and mashed potatoes. First of all, the amount of meatloaf on this dish is enormous! It's topped with sautéed mushrooms. The green beans were crisp and tossed in an onion-bacon mixture - which was really good! I could not eat the entire thing. Bummer - as I hate to see meatloaf that good go to waste!
