Local staple for decades! Killer u.f.o's (unbelievably filling objects), pizza and desserts! I've been on several occasions where my dinner order satisfied a customer quota which awarded me a free dessert! We decided to give it another attempt due to the many positive reviews and attached pics look so good... after all, who doesn't love a stuffed donut? First, website had a special $14.50 for a bakers dozen which is an amazing deal. They didn't honor it saying the Google website is not theirs even though I showed it on my phone from their link. Anyway, regular price is $20 bucks so still super cheap for large, fully stuffed donuts so we didn't make a fuss. The donuts are stuffed like the pics show but they taste like nothing except powdered sugar... looks like chocolate frosting, but no, just sugar. Fillings are plentiful of so much sugar you can't stand more than a bite because way too overly sweet. If you think that sounds like a good deal, I recommend you try one donut first before you commit to a dozen. Its a shame to get a good deal then see all of the donuts left behind with only one bite because no one can eat them. read more

This place looks like it hasn't been a second thought for the owner in 30 years at least. And not the cute rustic look, just worn out and old. The employees have no uniforms, no gloves, no customer service. Bathrooms are scary! Food was rushed and I was the only one there. But after seeing the establishment and employees, I didn't feel safe eating it. I would never recommend this place with so many others around. No idea how it's still open! read more

Come for the Donuts and Service: The service is always magnificent. True genuine care of your day and how you are feeling displayed throughout the staff. The donuts are large and in charge. Cream filled are always a favorite no matter what type of filling. Fantastic variety of donuts and other sweet baked items. I have yet to try there other sweet baked items but visually they all look fantastic. The unfortunate report on the back-end. The one item I have not been enthused about is the pizza. Three-times the charm I say. I have tried the establishments pizza three-times. Today (03/06/23) was the third. Two pizzas in the past I have tried were Loaded Pizzas. I took into account of the wetness of ingredients and chocked up the excess sogginess due to just the moisture being pulled from the toppings. With the third pizza, the soggy and uncooked (still doughy) portions cover a wide area of the pizza. The third-time charmed life of a pizza choice was an All Meat Pizza. Looking at the pizza one could expect a crispy crust given its darkened, golden brown color. Unfortunately, visuals is all it has going for it. The pizza dough/crust has a bread-like consistency. I do not know if that is the texture they are wanting to create, but on that front it is not my preference. The bread like consistency makes it difficult to fold the excessively large slices (6 slices created in the large). Since the bread (pizza dough) is of the soft consistency, any type of topping retention falls upon pull-out. And with it fairly being wet everything just slides right off. The bad part about that it exposes the underside of the toppings and from here you can how the dough was not baked all the way. The meat toppings are fairly uneven causing uneven cooking. The meatball pieces are large and fairly thick. Unfortunately, the large pieces act as a tarp covering the pizza making the dough soggy on the pieces the meat balls were left. The sausage taste like McDonald's breakfast sandwich sausage. The pepperoni were all floppy and some looked as if they were not in the oven at all. The bacon were in such large pieces that they ended up being flappy-bird status just flying away to the sky. The pizza is the only glaring issue I have with this restaurant/bakery. I think once they work out the pizza recipe, I am sure to try it again. As for now, I do not expect to go there for the pizza. Overall a great, happy staff and fantastic bakery items. Had the breakfast pizza and also was given the option to choose one free bakery item due to total amount spent so we grabbed some Whoopi pies. The breakfast pizza was really good but maybe just a little light on the egg and bacon. For the price would like to have had a little more. But it still tasted good and the crust was good. I'm new to this area and wanted to try an interesting new place, the building itself looked incredibly intriguing and I saw glowing reviews! However, I had possibly the worst food I've ever had. not disgusting, just incredibly bland. Soggy fries with 0 seasoning, soggy mozzarella sticks with a very bland marinara sauce (that was completely liquid with almost no taste), the calzone was very bleh and it also seemed like they just sliced up an entire green pepper and threw huge chunks in there, as well as the pizza itself just being close to school cafeteria food. I can't believe it took me so long to discover the magic that is Georgio's. I'm from Maine. Have driven by this place thousands of times. And it wasn't until about 2 months ago my husband and I left the car wash and he said "what's for breakfast?" And I said "I really want a breakfast sandwich." And as fate would have it the 70 year old letterboard at Georgio's said "B-Fast Sandwich"... that's it. YA GIRL KNOWS A SIGN WHEN SHE SEES ONE! So, on top of having the BEST donuts in town, they are super friendly, service is quick and UNBELIEVABLY cheap (and cheap is good here!) if you spend more than $20 here you are feeding an entire family. I got a veggie and cheese sub (they called it an Italian) and my fiance got a roast beef (they called it a roast beef Italian). Ordered a pepperoni pizza to go from Georgia's today. They had a ridiculous amount of donuts available (I went in the early evening) and I was incredibly tempted to buy a bunch. However, I opted to stick with the big pizza we ordered. By the time we got it home, 18 minutes later (my reality) it wasn't as hot as I wanted. Words can't express how thankful I am for this restaurant. It was a long shot that anything would be open for delivery at 9 in the morning, but they came to the rescue. I had the pleasure of speaking to Bart to get my order through for my family the day my brother in law passed. I'm in Los Angeles and knew my sister wouldn't be able to go out and get food for herself and the kids. Bart was so patient and kind with me. There was a $20 minimum for ordering, which at 9 in the morning I never even knew was a possibility so I would've paid $20 just to have food delivered. My experience with this facility has left me dubious, for the staff is very friendly, but it leaves a bit to be desired as whole, please allow me to explain. Witnessed staff neither wearing gloves, nor hairnets, now I'm not from Maine, so unsure the healthcodes up here, but that in itself is of much concern. Of course the area is a bit more rustic and of working class folks(which I am myself), but I feel that consideration for sanitary means is just a leaning towards gentrification, and not too demanding. I had a turkey grinder, which was acceptable, but the aforementioned viewing of unsanitary conditions left me weary whilst eating. My companion had had a cheeseburger that was when asked for medium rare, very well done. Cut of meat unsatisfactory, and toppings seemed to have been wilted. This facility is currently a star of the area, for accessibility, pricing and unique dishes. That and their staff like the "white rapper" and the "donut lady" make a visit something that elicits a chuckle and is free of the usual corporate-style customer service chatter. Plus, their donut case kept calling my name, which prompted me to leave with a blueberry-filled one. Damn stellar on that note, Charlie! Lots of raving about donuts on this space. I've been waiting to try Georgio's for months and, having finally been heading that way for vacation, drove 4.5 hours and walked in. The server behind the counter was extremely friendly and came up with a simple saying which will, in my mind at least, forever live on in dount lore. He said.."well, the shop has been here about 60 years, but as to which came first, the donut or the pizza, I have no idea." The chicken and egg question now seems much less difficult. Though I did not try the pizza, I did induldge in several of the donuts and a small coffee; all of which I have had better. The jelly was a lower quality "gluey jelly" rather than a jam and the dough for the raised was a tad greasy and more bread like than light and fluffy; the glazed was much the same. On the cake side I tried the Chocolate Dutch Crumb which is why I gave Georgio's 3 stars instead of 2- the cake is done right. It was light, tasty, and flavorful. They also have many interesting new flavor which I rarely see. The coffee was less than palatable, watery and could just pass in a pinch. I would definitely pass up the Tim Horton's around the corner for donuts and coffee, but would only take the cake at Georgios. read more
