I went back to this place because I was missing my wheel lock. I was about to go to the dealership after if they couldn't find it. Not only did Kevin and the staff help me resolve the situation but they paid for my new kit (which they didn't have to and I didn't expect) and helped remove the old ones. I had an extremely disappointing experience with this Gerber Collision, and I would not recommend them based on how my situation was handled. From the beginning, communication was poor. I was given a clear timeline for when my vehicle would be ready, and that deadline came and went without a single update. I had to repeatedly call just to get basic information, and even then, the answers were vague and inconsistent. What made the situation worse was the lack of accountability. Instead of proactively updating me about delays, I was left waiting and arranging my schedule around promises that weren't kept. Being without my car longer than expected caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience. Customer service should include transparency, follow-through, and respect for people's time. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. If you're considering using this location, I strongly suggest getting everything in writing and preparing for possible delays and communication issues. Shame on me for going here 3 times when my car got broken into or in an accident... because literally EVERY single time they "fixed" my car, I had to come back immediately because they didn't fix it. It's like they don't do a quality inspection because I drove off with black tar on my engine, my sensors not working, and so on.. this time around they refuse to fix their mistake when I did NOT have this specific issue with my car before going to the shop. It's annoying and disappointing. They claim they can't fix it because they don't have mechanics on site.. make it make sense. Never going here again! Don't go here!!! read more

Shady business practices. Took a a car in for an insurance claim after an accident, but had a terrible experience when the car was ready for pick up. Was quoted a price upon first inspection and upon pick up was told there were transmission issues in addition to body damage. Now, they have someone asses the viability of repair prior to taking on the job but apparently this went unnoticed and the shop claims the issue was unrelated to the accident. They released the car, but it would not go faster than 20 mph. Dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree and various sensors (bumper, camera, etc.) were unresponsive. The shop claims this was all pre-existing,but how could a car be in that state and be on the road in the first place? Unlikely. Now insurance won't cover additional repairs for the value of the car which could all have been avoided if there had been an accurate assessment from the beginning. Inaccurate assessments, faulty fixes and unwillingness to admit fault. Would not recommend to anyone. read more

We had no choice but to have my husband's BMW X3 repaired here after a minor car accident. Our car insurance - I did not expect it did not cover BMW collision center 100% and sent us to this God forsaken place. Nearly 3mos later they said my husband's car was fixed but upon driving it at night notifications showed that something was wrong with the car so we sent it to BMW to have it checked. To our frustration, even BMW cannot figure it out if it was there at this Gerber Collision that my husband's car's wires were damaged. Hence prompting software errors. Truly incompetence at their best. Now they want it sent back to them to finish repairs when they cannot even figure out what is wrong with the car in the 1st place!!! These people totally have no regard for your suffering having been in an accident. Rude customer service, avoidant and stalling. They have caller id & know your number and avoid it when they feel like it. I am a registered nurse working for the state and in no way will I treat any human being that way! Very unpleasant customer service. Our car was hit by another driver and we were sent by her insurance company to this shop. I had already gotten another estimate prior to taking it to this shop. At the other shop, I came in and 15 minutes later I walked with my estimate for repairs, as has been my experience in other similar circumstances. When we brought the car to Gerber we were told the estimator is really busy, has like 50 other cars, and we would have to leave the car overnight.The estimator came out, before we left, to do a quick walk around the car he said he would send us his estimate ASAP, that day or on Monday. We didn't get the email on Friday so we waited for the email to come on Monday. When it didn't arrive we called and the estimate had been sent to the insurance company and we were not allowed to have a copy???? The whole process was sketchy at best up to this point so I figured we would pick up the car and take it elsewhere. My daughter called before we left to the house to let them know we would be picking up the car and was informed that the car was not "drivable", it had been disassembled??? I drove it there just fine? In addition, if I wanted the car I would have to pay them for taking it apart and tow it out at my expense. So, my car is now being held hostage? I was floored and figured my daughter misunderstood so I went to the shop to get a copy of the estimate and find out where we were in the "process". She was right, Wade came out of his office and aggressively told me I was liable for the cost of the disassembly of the car and towing, if I wanted to have my car back...full stop! So,I don't get to CHOOSE a repair shop that I want because I have to pay for unauthorized work and a tow just to bring it to another shop? Make this make sense. I may be stuck with this shop but Wade was so rude and aggressive, rather than speak respectfully to a customer he chose to intimidate. Their own form says they provided a written estimate prior to any work being done---I have NO such estimate. No answers. No explanations. No communication. No car. It's insane. It's just all around shady at best. Never have any past repair experiences gone like this one. Even if I am forced to let them do the repairs, I have zero trust in the quality of any work they would do, based on the quality of their service and lack of integrity up to this point. BTW, the car did not need to be taken apart for an estimate, the damages are clearly visible, just using a lift. In fact, I let Wade know what was damaged( mechanically) when he did his quick walk around, the exterior, in the parking lot. He was dismissive of any input/information I was giving him, and definitely DID NOT inform me that "his" estimate would entail taking the car apart and leaving it that way unless I had them do the repairs. Do not take your car there for an estimate unless you want to pay the extortion fees to get it back, if you don't choose them do repairs. read more

I signed my car over to Gerber after my car accident the last week of October last year. It's almost the end of March and I still don't have my car. I drive a Tesla Model 3 and was pre warned that parts for teslas can take weeks to arrive but nothing prepared me for going 5 months without my car. While they text you twice a week to give you updates, it's all very generic messages saying that your car is still getting repaired and more updates will come soon. As of recent I've been getting conflicting messages- my car was repaired but needed to go to paint before reassembly. Once it's in paint the process goes fast. Then 2 weeks later I'm told is reassembly takes awhile given the intricate nature of the car. Ok fine. Reassembly became buffing which is the last step. Then buffing became "oh there's a scratch on your bumper so we need to fix it" and now it's "your car is still in reassembly." What? The Manager has yet to call and the alleged date my car will be done continues to be pushed back. **Update: Mike called me back a few hours after this was posted. He apologized for the delay and said reassembly was complete which is a little weird given that I was texted earlier on the same day that it was in reassembly. Now it's in buff and polish then to quality check. He hopes it's done before the weekend but can't guarantee. Monday at the latest which I've been told before we will see what happens. Last update- I got the car back and they did a pretty good job with the exterior. The interior was left very dusty. The license plate was not on the car and essentially the plate holder was taken off by the tow company and misplaced. I took it back to Gerber and James helped me out with finding another holder to put the license plate back together. The trunk gate doesn't line up perfectly but there's complications with the Tesla build. It's fully functional otherwise. I upped the rating to 3 stars - the staff is actually very friendly. My frustration lies purely in the 5 month wait there was for the car repair and the generic communication through the process. read more

The communication during the process was extremely poor. After receiving the 1st initial message of completion date (Feb 16), I called to verify pickup time. The lady says, "The technician who was assigned to your car called in. So we'll need more time. The updated pickup date is the 21st." The 21st comes. I called the day of to verify pickup time. I asked the receptionist what a good time to pickup my vehicle would be. She puts me on hold then comes back. Says, "The technician assigned to your car called in again and we will need more time. The completion date has now been updated to the 24th. I called on the 24th to verify a pickup time for my vehicle. The receptionist puts me on hold. I'm then transferred to a male rep whom I assume is a manager . I asked when a good time to pick up my vehicle was. He says, "I took a look at the car to do a quality check and wasn't happy with it. So I'm having them work more on it. I know it's an old car but I want to make sure it's done right. Shooting for the 28th to have it done." (Should the age of my vehicle have anything to do with wanting to do it right to begin with?) *There is a text message system that provides updates. Why did I have to call the day of scheduled pickup when the message update should have told me the day before let alone the week of?* On the 28th, I go to pick up my vehicle . I was told to pay which I did. Was handed my keys and receipt and was told my car was outside. Nobody bothered to walk to my vehicle with me to show what was done or what they had to do. I get to my car. There are smudges all over the driver fender that was replaced, a lot of gooped up compound between panels, and my trunk is a complete mess. The spare tire was not in its resting place. (I had to put it back myself). The panels that are supposed to cover the spare tire were folded and wedged incorrectly. Part of which is now broken. So where was the "Quality Control" check when my vehicle was shipped? Looks and sounds like nothing was "Checked" over. Very disappointed and upset about how this whole ordeal was managed and handled. There were no issues receiving messages after I picked up the car and filling out a survey. But when it came to the actual work, I had to be the one to call? And I was not calling at opening, I was calling at noon. That's half the day gone by for someone to update the notes on file and for me to get a message. Instead, I'm the one calling requesting the update. Not the type of service I expected when online reviews hold this shop in high regard. read more

Although I wasn't happy about the fact that I was rear ended twice, I am glad to have had Gerber Collision both times I needed to get my rear bumper replaced! The first situation was worse, my rear bumper needed to be replaced along with the rear sensors and a supportive bar underneath my bumper. Thankfully, the at-fault insurance paid for the whole thing and paid for me to have a rental car. I dropped my car off on a Monday morning, and was able to pick up a rental car at this location as well! Super easy. I got a call Friday afternoon that my car was ready for pickup, and I was able to drop off the rental car here as well. Everything turned out great with the work that was done, it looked good as new! Throughout the week, I even received update calls about where they are at in the process with my vehicle. After I got rear ended a second time, I immediately called Gerber Collision because I had such a great experience the first time. Still had great service almost a year later. My rear bumper was replaced again, and thankfully once again, the at-fault insurance wrote me a check for the amount of the estimate. I received phone call updates, and was called as soon as my car was ready for pick up! Hopefully I won't need to be back *knock on wood*, but I know who to call if I do! This place is a joke. My car insurance company had me come here because they were on my insurance's preferred list. Reading the reviews of other former customers sent by their insurance company, I can see why this place is horrible. If you choose not to get your car repaired here, they don't waste their time to do a thorough job in inspecting and estimating the repair cost properly. The person that took the pictures of my car spent about 5 minutes and was done. That's not enough time. There's seems to be a demeanor here. If you say you will repair your car their, they'll put in more effort since they want to repair your car to get paid. If you tell them you just want an estimate, they will do it quickly and miss the details. When I spoke to my insurance if they saw the damage of the inside from the photo, the adjuster said he didn't. If this place was doing their job, they would have caught it. I do my research and my gut feeling is this is not a good place to bring your car in for repairs. I also looked into BBB and see there are quite a few complaints. Get other estimates at other auto body shops to do a comparison. I would research if they have violated any regulations against the Nevada Revised Statutes. read more

I really wanted to give GCG five stars. Mel was so great with the information and dealing with the insurance company after I got sideswiped by a texter. The repair was nearly flawless except for a small scratch inside the affected door. But the repair took almost a month: in on 11/13 and pickup on 12/9, and while they washed and waxed my ride, they ignored the inside, and it took me over 20 minutes to vacuum out all the debris left inside my car's interior. To be fair, Mel told me their painting booth broke at one point, and the repair time included the Thanksgiving holiday. If hit again, or if I need a new windshield, this is where I'll be going. read more

Preston the manager is an absolute quality guy! I've been to many collision repair centers (caliber collision to mention one) and I have never gotten this quality of service and communication. It's honestly shocking that I have to say this because every shop should operate this way but we all know that isn't the case with every repair shop. Preston was very helpful in making recommendations for maintenance and was honest about timeline expectations. He even called the insurance for me to advocate for repairs on my behalf, which again, Is something I have not experienced with any other shop. I can't say enough about how well this location is ran! I don't want to sound cheesy but this place literally prooves their name! I had a really gross dent from someone backing up into me in a parking lot and had to get my left fender fixed. New Look took care of it no problem and even had an Enterprise representative on site so I could get my rental right away. 4 days later and my baby was all fixed up! They even fixed the door sealing that was falling off. Before leaving, I asked if I could get an estimate on a giant scratch I had for more than a year and Jesus told me that he'll just polish it up for me no problem, no fee!
