I can't say enough good things about my recent experience with Safelite Autoglass in Las Vegas! After the back window of my Volvo SUV was completely smashed, I thought I'd be waiting a week or more to get it fixed--especially since my insurance adjuster at State Farm had me scheduled far out. Enter Jeremy at the Safelite office. He went above and beyond to make things happen. He personally made calls, tracked down the glass, put some urgency on my situation, and got my appointment moved up almost a week sooner than originally scheduled. Thanks to his effort, my back window was replaced within 24 hours of the damage happening. That's amazing service! The very first day it happened, Safelite cleaned up all the broken glass, and even put a protective film over the opening so my car would be secure until the replacement could be done. I actually set up an appointment to have my car have the full front windshield changed at my house. They were there in the timeframe promised and the technician was very nice. It turns out that because I have a Toyota Highlander 2020 and I suppose there's a lot of computer technology associated with it, they were having a difficult time with calibrating it at the house so they asked me if I would be able to drive over to the Sunset location, which is where the technician is based out of. The drive was less than 20 minutes to get there, and when I got there, they took care of it right away. The master technician had it done and not even five minutes. My overall experience was very positive and I would highly recommend Safelite auto glass without reservation. I did not use insurance because the price was slightly lower than insurance's deductible, so it's not cheap, but it is a good value when I researched how expensive it is to change auto glass in the front windshield, and it is not cheap. read more

A Cracked Windshield Rescue Story While on my recent road trip, pebbles peppered my car's windshield, leaving two cracks. Worried the damage might worsen and require a full replacement, I decided to get it fixed upon reaching Vegas. Consulting Mr. Google, Safelite AutoGlass emerged as a top service provider. Booking online ensured minimal wait time. Within minutes of my arrival, a very nice and helpful lady at the front desk connected me with an auto glass technician in the lobby. We went outside, and I showed him the two damaged areas. He explained he couldn't repair one crack due to the risk of further damage. However, he was confident about fixing the other, the larger of the two cracks. I signed a waiver acknowledging the risk that the crack may worsen during the repair and absolving the service provider of liability in case of a complete crack. Then, in just 15-20 minutes, my windshield was fixed! Just like that! It cost me $75, a little less than I had seen online. Unfortunately, the grass was also broken. It had a small crack in front of where the rear view mirror was placed. Jeremy, the store manager was apologetic and asked if I could return the following Friday to have it replaced. It's taken me a minute to write this review but it deserves to be said. My windshield cracked last summer after a car wash out of the blue directly in the center. I scheduled an appointment with safelite through the web put my insurance info in and assumed we were all set to go. I get there and the guy tells me my insurance has not responded to the claim so I will have to pay full price and do a reimbursement claim. Found that annoying, considering my appointment was set a week in advance, but whatever not the end of the world I needed the windshield replaced. Fast forward 6 months later, I'm pulling into my driveway and see what I assumed was a shadow on my windshield. Come to find out it's another minor crack on the edge of the windshield. I immediately call safelite - which was a complete headache to speak to someone that was not an operating system. Finally get through to someone who was friendly and apologetic and set up an appointment for me to take my car in. That morning when I'm waking up to get the car there, the front desk girl texts me for photos of the crack and proceeds with they don't cover new damage. I found her approach to be extremely rude considering I had just paid $1600 for a windshield from them 6 months prior, the least you can do for me is look at my car in person and talk to me in person and not text me prior to even seeing the windshield in person with what you think is a solution. I show up there for my appointment regardless, inside knowing this going to be a waste of my time based off the energy the front desk girl had set. The tech looks at my car, was friendly, but ultimately said I was "unlucky" because it wasn't a stress crack and it looked like a piece of sand got into the edge of the windshield and started the crack, proceeds with how common it is in the desert. I've been driving 17+ years in vegas and never had this happen. Nobody I know in vegas has ever had this happen. Ok maybe I am "UNLUCKY" but 6 months later for something smaller then a grain of salt to start a crack on my windshield, why are safelite windshields so fragile? Why don't they stand behind their product? Why is there no warranty? Now after reading these reviews it seems they are consistently lacking in something. Schedule an appointment for my windshield quote is $630 for windshield they try to throw on a $750 charge to recalibrate it LOL so over a $1000 total when all you have to do for a Tesla windshield to recalibrate it is press the button in the menu and drive a certain amount of miles! I somehow hit a rock on Warm Springs with no cars ahead of me and had what I thought was a crack in my windshield. With the heatwave, I wanted it fixed before it had the chance to spider out and require a full replacement. I was able to book at this location within an hour, which was super convenient. When I got there, a technician was immediately able to come take a look at the "crack." Luckily, they inspected the damage and realized it was a cosmetic chip that didn't require repair. Seems like Safelite Glass at 2345 E Sunset Road has been successful talking Yelp into deleting my review twice now. So lets make the third time a "Charm" Shall we !!! I had a scheduled appointment for December 2 at 1pm to have the windshield replaced on my TRX Ram truck. I got there earlier about 11:30am to drop my truck off. The guy at the counter stated I was not approved to have the windshield replaced even though they had the windshield for my truck. The guy at the counter stated Farmers had not approved my claim, what a Joke, I had 5 emails from Safelite that I had an appointment, 1 email from Farmers about my appointment and one phone call from safelite that everything was set up from my appointment. The guy at the counter stated my cost would be over 1400 dollars to have the windshield replaced. I disbelief I asked him how could I have all these approved emails and text messages and not I mysteriously do not have an approved coverage. He put me on the phone with someone who stated their systems where down and my coverage was not approved, again I explained how do you explain all the emails, text messages that say I am approved and have an appointment. Going nowhere in the conversation I just dropped the phone down on the lower counter and left. Today my adjuster explained that allegedly the phone hit the employee and he was bleeding and that they called to police on me. I know exactly what I did, that phone did not hit the employee and he is a MAN CHILD for making that up after trying to run game on me and have me pay over $1400.00 for a windshield. Whilst driving to work on a Sunday morning, it happened; out of nowhere a decent sized rock got kicked up somehow and hit my windshield just right and made a pretty gnarly crack instantly. I instinctively searched for Safelite to get it repaired asap. Unfortunately, I couldn't even leave work early to get it taken care of day of because it was Sunday and they are closed, and just my luck, the following day was Labor Day. They had an appointment available for Tuesday 8AM that I booked immediately. When I arrived promptly at 8AM, they were open and very welcoming. The entire checking in process was quick and seamless. The woman behind the counter assisting me was very pleasant and offered complimentary water/tea/coffee. Within minutes they took my keys and began repairing the crack. The whole process from beginning to end took maybe 25 minutes tops. The gentleman who repaired the crack took care of my checking out process and was extremely helpful in doing so. I came into Safelite this morning after my car had gotten broken into. I came in to get a temporary cover in the meantime until I could figure out where I could get a window replacement for a reasonable price. I asked the people at the front desk if they could recommend anyone or anywhere that would be able to get the window replaced today for a reasonable price. They told me to wait and see what they could do for me. The guy at the front desk called someone asking if they had my specific window in stalk and they could deliver it today. They were able to get me scheduled at 2pm with the correct window and a good price. They also cleaned up my car when I brought it in to get the temporary. There was glass still everywhere all over the seats and they went above and beyond to help me in anyway possible. I had my windshield replaced three weeks ago and this is not my first interaction with them. They have been quick and efficient and great in the past. This time, however, a complete 180. After replacement, I noticed a crack in the upper left corner of my rearview mirror. There was also much bigger thumbprints on the mirror which were not mine. I called the location and they advised for me to visit. I visited, spoke to asst manager and he said he would get back to me. He did 2 days later and they stated that they trust their honest technician. They also stated that they do not remove the mirror as it's on the chassis of the Jeep. More reason to think that something occurred with the mirror still in the way. I called Jeep for what can be done, and they stated it's $450 to replace. I escalated the situation with Safelite and they are not taking accountability. I escalated to Twitter and although responsive at first, they directed me to the manager of this location, they stated a callback would happen. Still waiting. We are three weeks in and all avenues have been exhausted except for me revisiting and speaking face to face with an attorney. I do not recommend their services at all. Manager said he stands behind the integrity of his workers. I think he means well, but doesn't know what he's doing and his workers maybe need a bit more training. Claimed I needed a part. I went across the valley to get the part. Brought it back and the manager said it's the wrong part. Showed me a pic of the door and said my part isn't even IN the car. I showed him a clip of a video replacing my style of vehicle and asked if his workers took off the second panel (shown in photo). He said they did. Then says the part is correct but riveted in and I'll need to replace the whole panel. Nah. You can't tell me it's not there, then tell me it's there but riveted in. I went home and called Titan Auto glass. They came out the next day and not only took the second panel off, but verified the part I got was correct, and replaced the regulator and the glass in under an hour. For nearly $120 bucks less. I brought my new car in to repair two tiny rock chips on the driver's side of the windshield on a 100F+ afternoon. After dealing with Safelite through my insurance, which partners with them, I already had a bad feeling, plus all the 1-star Yelp reviews, but I couldn't reach the shop across the way with the 5-star reviews and figured how hard is it to fill two small chips? When I walked in, I was told I had to sign a waiver saying they weren't responsible for further damage to my windshield from the repair. No one mentioned that in my numerous phone calls, and I felt safe with the lifetime guarantee they supposedly offer on their work. The employee said it was a rare occurrence, but they had to let me know. I couldn't get a straight answer from him on anything, and I have no idea why he asked if my car was still under warranty, which it is. (Another employee told me later that further damage occurs in one in 30 windshields at this shop, which are bad odds). They took my car back shortly, and within a few minutes, the employee came in with another employee to tell me my windshield had cracked 4"-5" from the vacuum device, and it would need to be replaced (it actually cracked 17"). I drive a luxury car with a pricey windshield and now have to pay a $500 deductible to replace it. This is a complete scam, and I know better than to use a franchise! They didn't let the windshield cool down, and all their parking faces west. I called corporate from the store and got nowhere, and then was told by another employee I had to leave as they were closing. They were so unapologetic throughout. To add insult to injury, I got a text tonight from corporate that my windshield is backordered, which the employee said nothing about. In fact, he said it would be in next week via the local dealership. I highly doubt it would be an OEM part. I am now too scared to have them touch my car after really reading the reviews, so I will be contacting my insurance in the morning to get the shop changed as I already found another company with great reviews via Yelp who could have filled the chips at my home at no charge without cracking my windshield in the process. After paying cash for a beautiful sports coupe from a dealership in CA that was delivered via a transporter, an additional and unnecessary expense was the last thing I needed. I just wanted to enjoy my new car, which now has a 17" crack in my field-of-view for weeks or months thanks to this shop. I am deeply disappointed with their predatory insurance claim pricing policy. Prior to filing an insurance claim for a windshield replacement, I received a Safelite OEE (Original Equipment Equivalent) windshield quote for $320 plus taxes and additional fees. However, I went through their insurance comprehensive claim process and paid my $500 deductible for an OEM (Original Manufacturer Equipment) windshield. But, was told by the local Safelite associate the day after the installation, that because the OEM windshield was not in stock the OEE windshield was installed and the $500 deductible was still assessed, as well as an additional $304 bill to my insurance. I called Safelite's Las Vegas local office to ask for clarification on why I am required to pay more for an OEE product going through my insurance, and was told that it is their existing agreement with the insurance company. The Safelite associate told me there was nothing that could be done and I'm liable to pay my deductible regardless of the windshield that is installed. I requested to speak with my insurance company to ensure they are aware of the practice and we completed a three way call to confirm the policy. The insurance representative recommended we withdraw the insurance claim and go with the cash payment option. When the cash payment option was provided the $500 deductible was refunded and a cash payment of $449 was assessed to me directly. If Safelite was transparent in their windshield replacement pricing, prior to installation, I would not have chosen to pay $449 for an OEE windshield that was originally quoted at $320, plus taxes/fees. In addition, in the selection process when completing a windshield replacement with an insurance claim the consumer is not allowed to strictly select the OEM preference. Consumers are allowed to pay their deductible without any refund option with Safelite, even if the OEE option is less expensive than the the consumers deductible, while also charging the insurance company additional fees. This is highly disingenuous , predatory, and misleading to consumers who seek a quality product from what is marketed as a reputable and honest company. Consumers should be aware of the predatory insurance claim policy and ensure that Safelite is not overcharging them or their insurance for an inferior product. It is disappointing that Lexus of Las Vegas recommended their services without understanding the predatory pricing policies practiced. Stay away and shop around for other windshield replacement options. The next day Mike from the Rainbow store called to confirm the changes...turned out I had entered the wrong date...I thought I rescheduled for the following day but instead I had entered the date for the following week. I would have been so mad at myself if I had shown up and it was the wrong day! Especially because I had taken the day off and arranged a ride while they worked on my car. Anyway, that same day Daxie from the Sunset store called to confirm - again awesome. When I showed up Daxie was at the counter and she was so nice. She said it would be a couple hours, so my friend picked me up and we ran a couple errands. While we were gone I received texts and a phone call from Jason (the one who replaced my windshield) to let me know when he started working on my car, how much longer it would be, and when the work was finished, which was actually sooner than the two hours. When I came back to pay, another employee, Jeremy, was also at the counter. He said that one of the parts for my car would not have been delivered on time so he had gone to the auto parts store the night before and got it...what??? After I left I received a text from Jason telling me that it was safe to remove any tape that was left. But my windshield looked amazing right when it was done. I started out with a small crack in my front windshield, approximate size was a quarter. The crack did go through the glass, it was not a chip. On the positive side, I was able to schedule same day for a repair through insurance. The "repair" would've been covered at no cost to me. I don't expect things for free, but it's always nice when you can avoid a $500 deductible, or worse if you have to pay the whole cost out of pocket. On the negative side, the technician, Emmanuel, managed to sit in the car for a couple minutes and when my wife came back out, he somehow managed to turned the quarter size crack into an 8-inch crack with a pair of 3-inch cracks to boot. If I had known this was the case I would've never gone through Safelite. Now I'm left with a cracked windshield that requires replacement, which I feel was not an accident. This went from being a cheap fix to being a $500 deductible for a full windshield replacement. I wrongfully assumed that the technician would've been able to tell if this crack was repairable in the first place, which he clearly did not. Either that or he was there to destroy my windshield and make some money off of insurance. I also wrongfully assumed that anyone working for an autoglass company would know how to handle a windshield without quadrupling the damage on it. Strike two on me. After breaking my windshield beyond repair, Emmanuel left to who knows where to draft up a quote for a full windshield replacement. I didn't receive a call from Safelite until the following day, at which time I told them to send the quote for replacement, which I still haven't received. When they called me the following day, I shared my experience, to which they said they didn't see any notes indicating that Emmanuel had done anything to the car. So not only did he not fix the windshield, but he didn't report anything on it getting worse from his handling of it. The company said while they were sorry for what happened that they wouldn't be paying the deductible. I guess sometimes it's expensive to learn who not to give your business to. I definitely learned my lesson and will not be going through Safelite in the future, ever. When the time comes and I pay to get the full windshield replacement, I will be going through the dealership, so long as they don't contract out to Safelite. NOTE: It was tough to get good pictures, but the initial crack was the pinhole in the center, with about a quarter-sized web around it. After my windshield got hit twice by a rock (thanks LV construction) I had to bring it in to get fixed. I was worried I'd need a whole new windshield which would run me a ton of money. I brought my car to this location this morning and was met with a kind greeting, an easy, clear path to fixing the cracks and an amazing value for cost. Horrible. Not reliable, made crack even bigger so had to change the windshield, they kept blaming my dealership for not sending the new windows and kept pushing my appt. Found different company, Glass America. They kept their words and fixed it within 4 days. (2 days to get my window from dealership and took 2 days to came out and fix it) safelite appt system was such a headache. The day of my appt, i called them to confirm with appt time, (jeremy told me my appt will be @8am) but reception guy or whoever answered that day said no, its between 8am - 5 pm and tech will give me call whenever they are ready. 8am to 5pm ? Lol. 9hrs of window ? Thats Longer than my shift guys Later that day tech called said he never got my window so they have to reschedule it again. Apparently no one knows what is going on besides the tech. The young guy who made my penny size crack into 10inch crack said he properly cooled down my window before he did anything.. but really did you..? My car was sitting in the parking lot of theirs for over an hr on a sunny day. It took him less than 15mins to come back to me with bigger crack... Choose the window company wisely! Brought my car to safelite for windshield replacement as they work with my insurance company. The new windshield seems fine, but they scratched my drivers side fender in three spots. They attempted to deny causing the damage, but both fenders had scuff marks on them in the area the technician would have been leaning over to work on the windshield. No other scuff marks on the car. The scuff marks on the passenger side buffed out, the driver side is scratched down to the metal. Safelite photographs any damages the vehicle has before beginning work; no photos of my fender were taken. The scratches were NOT there before dropping the car off. The manager did agree that he would get a paint pen to fix the scratches (1. That is not an acceptable fix, I don't want my car looking like a child colored it in with a crayola. 2. It's been nearly two weeks and they have not even called back to color in the scratches like the manager said he would.) Pretty nice business, drop my vehicle off to get repaired and it gets more damage. read more
