Absolutely delicious! I ordered a mixed rice doner bowl & curry fries and my partner and I DEVOURED the entree. It was SO GOOD. I couldn't stop eating the rice bowl. Spoon after spoon, constantly, until I couldn't anymore - that is how good it was. The protein was delicious and flavorful, the perfect texture as well. Loved the mix of the fresh greens and the white sauce was delicious. It took about 7-10mins for the food to come out. The place itself is cute and has a lot of seating and comfortable seating too. It looks very nice and clean. I'd happily eat here again.

Not worth the wait. From ordering to receiving, our order of 1 Original Main and 1 Doner Box took a whopping 1 HOUR 7 MIN. No explanation at all for the wait, other than "it's coming" and a rather cold attitude. We noticed many frustrated customers, with one group getting fed up and asking for a refund while another lady got into an argument with one of the employees. Unfortunately it didn't even seem like the restaurant was that busy. Food was okay. They were out of all meats except for chicken at 6pm (which seems odd, because it's pre-dinner rush and they were already out of meat?). Also, for some reason the chicken reminded me more of rotisserie chicken instead of kebab meat. I wouldn't come back due to the slow service. If they can sort out their operations, maybe I'll consider trying this spot again next year but it definitely won't be somewhere I'd think of returning soon.

I wanted to give this place a try, so I did! When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in and was greeted. I ordered a few things from the menu of the Doner Rice Bowl with chicken, grilled cheese waffle bread, garlic and cheese waffle bread, chicken empanada, and the snack box with doner crispy rolls and fries. The bowl wasn't too bad, and the snack box was actually good. The empanada and the two waffle breads were not my favorite out of the bunch. All in all, I had an ok experience.

Excellent Jalapeño poppers. Everything else was just okay. My family ordered delivery of 2 Doner Kebabs which arrived huge with our choice of mixed chicken and beef, then lettuce, tomato, onion, red cabbage and their 3 signature sauces (garlic, yogurt, and spicy) in toasted sesame bread. While the meats tasted lean and good and all the ingredients tasted fresh, something was too sweet and overpowering. We also ordered extra garlic sauce but never got it. For my kids, the Quesadilla with similar ingredients was more balanced.

This fast food restaurant opened a month ago in downtown Westfield, where many of the mom & pop-owned businesses have been replaced by franchised food court-type chains heavy on corporate identity but light on substance. I sampled the beef dönor kebab wrap ($12), which resembles a Greek gyro. The schwarmas, supposedly beef or chicken, are bought-in frozen, heated on a rotisserie spit, sliced, and served with shredded red cabbage, lettuce, and onion, and assorted sauces on dönor bread, or as a platter. On the very first bite, I bit into something and thought I broke a tooth. There are hard black nigella seeds baked into the bread, maybe it was that. The meat is questionable. I had the "beef", which is aggressively seasoned, heavily processed and yellow in color. It neither looked nor tasted like it came from a steer. No thanks.

    Original doner and fries

Went there for lunch on a Thursday. Parking in the street directly by the restaurant isn't free (parking meter), so I parked in a nearby street that allowed free parking, albeit with a 2 hour time limit. Took me less than 5 minutes to walk over. First thing I always check in a restaurant I've never been to before are the bathrooms. This place has 2 that can be used by either gender. Looked clean with soap in the soap spender (without soap I would have walked out right away as that would mean they are not checking the bathrooms at least daily). I ordered an original doner. When introduced in Germany in the 1980s, they used lamb meat. Chicken and beef are cheaper, so this place offers either or a mix which is what I decided to get. The doner looked very appealing and tasted very good. Pretty big portion and I understand they now offer also a smaller size. Make sure they give you plenty of napkins as you will need them. With a fountain drink and plain fries I paid $20.99. The fries are the reason I subtracted one star as they were too soft and didn't taste good. Also, the doner is so much food that you will be full just from that. I saw some complaints about waiting times. I got my food in less than 10 minutes but I should mention that there was only one other customer. I will certainly come back!

The country's cuisine reflects its multicultural history, with influences from Persian, Central Asian, Indian, and even Mediterranean culinary traditions. Though the food was served quickly, it wasn't made quickly. Rice, particularly long-grain varieties like basmati, is blanched for a day before it's cooked. Meats are marinated in carefully prepared concoctions for hours to ensure tenderness. Lamb shanks are stewed for hours each day. Never had Afghan food? You're not alone. There are only a handful of Afghan restaurants in NJ. Located at the Westfield Plaza off of South Avenue E, some of my colleagues decided on takeout as first-timers for lunch, which came recommended as the food tastes and feels like home from this family-owned and -run establishment. We called the order in for their family platter consisting of Ground Chicken, Lamb and Beef Kababs, Garden Salad, Brown Rice, Fresh Naan Bread, and a side of Potatoes with a red sauce and yogurt. Upon arrival at Famous Kabab Cuisine, my colleague and I were greeted by the owner, Ahmed, who has more than 25 years of experience in making fresh bread and kabob, and informed us of a 5-minute wait. The food remained hot back into the office, would feed 5, and have some for leftovers. The kebabs (ground chicken, beef, and lamb) were well seasoned, tasted delicious, and paired beautifully with the brown rice. Top that bread or kebab with the trio of sauces. A white yogurt sauce with dill is very reminiscent of tzatziki sauce, a vinegary green sauce with cilantro and pureed walnuts, and, for those who do want the heat, a red habanero sauce that should have come with a warning. Overall, one can tell the food was made fresh with quality ingredients. It is not cheap, but one gets decent portions, which we can recommend.

On paper, the bolani description doesn't sound like much, but it's a flavorful, fragrant flatbread stuffed with potatoes and spices. The additional dipping sauces made it all the more tasty. We also tried the kofta korma, which was a saucy dish of spiced ground beef patties that paired perfectly with rice. Can't wait to explore more of the menu. We ordered takeout but next time we'll have to stop by and dine-in.

So naturally, had to check it out again this time and try it again. I don't know what it is, but well seasoned meat with their crispy fries just works. The original German doner kebab with the mixed beef and chicken was incredible. It was juicy, perfectly seasoned meat with that signature vertical spit char, loaded into their soft, flavorful handmade waffle-style bread. Every bite was a hit. Also ordered the chicken doner box with fries. The fries were very crispy and seasoned well and the chicken was just as I remembered it. A flavor bonanza. Rich, aromatic, and very delicious What was really the highlight was the sauces though. The garlic sauce was creamy and addictive, and the spicy one had just the right kick without overpowering everything. Portions are solid for the price. Everything felt fresh and hot, and the staff was super friendly and quick even during a busy mall rush. If you're at the American Dream or craving quality halal doner, this is the move. Way better than your average kebab spot. This is premium. Will definitely be back for the crispy doner rolls and maybe the Doner Burger next time.

On this day I got the B6- which has Grilled pork, Grilled shrimp, and Egg rolls. It was just ok for me. The pork was very thin and was dry, I prefer pork to be a thicker cut so it's a little fatty and juicy. Loved selecting from the imported drinks- gives it a foreign and fun feel. My favorite was the ambiance and Turkish music. The booths are set in chic cages and it feels like you have more privacy. The servers also bring the meal to your table- added plus for a mall food establishment. My only critique is the price. It is reasonable, but I expected a larger portion for the price charged. It was quick, efficient, and mercifully free of small talk. A machine that doesn't pretend to care about your day is, in many ways, the most honest companion while still lacking the dismissiveness of the Gen Z stare. My sandwich arrived at the table shortly after, delivered by a human who didn't linger. We understood each other. I had the Pink Sultan. Chicken, mixed greens, red cabbage, pickles, and a sauce the color of a polite sunset. I read that the sauce involves beets, which explains both the color palette and the faint suggestion that I was eating something that once grew in dirt and had ambitions. The sandwich was good. Not life changing, not tragic. The chicken was tender enough, the vegetables crisp, the flavors balanced in a way that suggested someone had made decisions and stuck with them. I drank a bottle of Turkish Uludag soda, which tasted like citrus with a hint of optimism. It whispered, "I'm like Fanta, but regional AND foreign, which of course makes me better." The place itself is clean and modern, with that fast casual confidence that says we take our ingredients seriously but not ourselves. They make a point of using fresh components and well seasoned meats that rotate slowly on a spit, absorbing flavor as time passes, much like the rest of us. Everything I ate was pretty good. That is not faint praise. In a world where many meals are often either regrettable or unforgettable, pretty good is a kind of victory. Four stars. The kiosk asked nothing of me, and the food delivered something in return.
