Later in the day a 2 other stores submitted quotes as well. The following day I received a follow up message from Technics offering no charge for removal and no tax on installation, I couldn't refuse such an offer. I drove over once the roads cleared and had the tint removed and new tint applied. They charged what they quoted, no haggling, nothing but great customer service at a great cost. One of the owners (Matthew) ran the glass side, of which he spent a considerable amount of time explaining the differences in windshields that come from larger companies, such as the dealer or Safelite Autoglass vs. his glass. From a price standpoint, there is a remarkable difference between larger companies (i.e., $280 on up) vs Epic's ($135-140). I had to have an additional seal placed on my windshield that made the final price $155. Further, I didn't feel as if I was "sold" anything more than what I came here to purchase. No unnecessary add-ons & upsells, as well as no long-winded explanations that would have led to confusion. Matthew was to the point, yet showed additional customer care by recommending not to remove the protective tape for 24 hours to allow the glass + seal to cure. He could've just said "have at it, your good to go", yet he didn't. Further, he didn't rush through the place replacement process. It took roughly 80-90 minutes from start to finish in order to do the job correctly. Epiq Auto does additional work, such as vehicle customizations, stereo installation, and other repairs in conjunction with glass work. Given their level of customer care + quality service, I'll certainly be back.
