So... we're on our way back from a cross country trip (from our home in Lake Tahoe, California - all the way to New Orleans...), and now we're in Fort Worth Texas. The truck has been running rough since before we arrived in New Orleans, and has been running progressively worse... To summarize, we called these guys on a Friday night, and amazingly they are open on Saturdays, and they tell us to bring it in. Long story short, they diagnose #1 & #3 injectors as being bad (I already had a hunch...) and the suggest that we do that "bank" of injectors. In conclusion, the truck made it back to our home on the west coast, it's now been a couple of weeks (and a another couple thousand miles) and the truck is running great. UPDATE 3/13/25: We ended up driving over to give them another shot because we really need our truck's fifth gear fixed. However, we were advised to go to Standard Transmission and Gear because Diesel Works doesn't tear into transmissions like that. Which we did as we were told and drove our truck over there. I'll add a few stars for the upfront honesty. And I received a reply that they're closed every second Saturday. 3/8/25: My husband has been calling, left a message, and even drove by this morning around 8:30am (website says they open at 7am on Saturdays). However, no one was there! And there was no sign on the door stating if they'd be back later, no post on their FB page or notice on their voicemail box. I checked all avenues because I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, I don't like giving low stars to local businesses. read more

Do not use this mechanics shop for any work. They will screw up more than they fix. Came in for an alignment and was told I need new parts. They bought new parts then told me they had to take parts off the old part and replace parts on the new one. They lie, they cheat, and they steal your money. they broke more than they fixed and then charged me to fix what they broke. Some of the things they broke they didn't even tell me about. I left this review once before and the owner called me and said he would make it right. Then they proceeded to break more stuff and the truck still isn't fixed. This place is a joke. read more

Zack and the guys are amazing over here!! First time I used them I had a shop install a EGR Delete Kit wrong and the guys over here got my truck fixed same day and back up and running. Second time I lost Cold air and once again 1 day at the shop and I get a phone call the next morning that my trucks ready and it's blowing cold. They're always willing to do whatever's needed to get the problem figured out without waiting weeks to get in. From Customer Service, Honestly, Fast Service and just getting treated like a normal person with no BS and always fixing my vehicles no issues after I can say I'll Never use another shop!! As always they did exactly what they said they were gonna do for a reasonable price. They even notified me of other issues that I had that I was not aware of and offered me the opportunity to get them taken care of. Now they did some warranty work for a water pump that I did not know was leaking, but they noticed it and they took care of it and warranted it without my knowledge. They were quick to fit me in and had me back on the road Monday afternoon (would have been Saturday but they found the problem behind the symptoms). This shop misdiagnosed my truck. Removed good part from truck and replaced with off market part. I was told that wheel hub on my car was bad and needed to be replaced. As there was back order on the part, they made me to purchase off market part. The truck was making same issues as before replacing the part and all warning lights were on on my dashboard. I brought "bad part" with me to the dealer, as issue was not solved. The dealer was able to put my original part back to my truck and with tire replacement and alignment truck was running fine again. The Diesel Works is not competent in their job. They take advantage of the customer's trust. read more

I've not only owned quite a few cars in my lifetime but I have also worked in the car business for over 6 years at dealerships like Acura, Ford, Toyota, Honda etc. Meaning I've made friends with techs and service advisors and have seen what they are really up to when customers drop vehicles off and how they make money on customers. I've got to say it's definitely made me VERY PICKY on who I trust with my vehicles and where I'll take it. To the point where I sometimes won't even get mine or my family's vehicle worked on at a dealership I work for unless it's a certain tech. Well I have had only the BEST experiences here at Diesel Works! Mark is an amazing owner that knows how to treat his customers and is a man of his word. He will let you know what ACTUALLY needs to be done. I've been here several times and I can't imagine taking my truck anywhere else. Not even to the manufacturer dealership cause they always take to long or try and over charge and play games. Here at Diesel Works they were the ones that inspected my truck for me before i bought it. They are the ones that have done all my oil changes and my transmissions fluid changes. After I had an accident and hit a wall doing 80 with my truck I had them look over it and they fixed a pulley that I could hear squeaking like crazy. I had them do a full delete and tune on my truck. All these things were done on different times and every time I get the same 5 star customer service from the whole team and every time I end up saving money. I know this cause just for fun. I tend to ask friends that are service advisors or tech at other dealerships how much they would charger me and it always seems to be more lol. To put it simply. If you have a Diesel truck and you want 5 star customer service with no games or trust issues if your getting a realistic fair deal with people that actually know what they are doing and won't mess up your truck. Great diesel repair center. Took truck in with no appointment and they replaced my shocks and steering dampener (that I supplied) and a coolant filtration system. Waiting area was comfortable with coffee and a TV. I'll definitely be going back for any future service needs. read more
