    Chicken Roti
    Keith M.

I'm very impressed with the food. Today I tried their chicken roti for the first time and I think I'll be a customer for life. The portion size is gigantic, it is big enough to make 4 meals . The dough was perfect and the portions of chicken to potatoes was just right. You can enjoy the curry with a slight twist of heat. The service was quick and professional and friendly. The restaurant was clean and all employees were wearing masks. I came in after the lunch hour so there was no crowds and was able to order in Person and was walking out the door in less than ten minutes. This could have been my first 5 star review, but I had ordered the goat and they were all out. Hopefully the next time I will be able to get the goat and add the missing star

Oxtail with Rice and Peas and Steam Cabbage

In the area and STARVING I have never seen this restaurant before and it happens that I'm in the mood for Caribbean food The Resturant is clean and welcoming I was greeted by Ms P.. who took my order and got me situated I ordered the oxtail w/rice n peas and cabbage Nice portion size I would return

    Rice and peas

I've been waiting to try this place for a while. Now, I don't like everyone's peas and rice so I got some to test it out. I was pleasantly surprised! I really liked it. Well cooked, nice spices. They also had some drinks in their refrigerator. I love ginger so I took a chance and tried it out. Wonderful. The ginger was potent. They had opened up just the day before so the staff was still getting acclimated. Everyone was nice. After the pandemic, I'd like to sit at the bar and really take everything in.

    Oxtail dinner

I wanted to try this restaurant because I'm always in the mood for some West Indian food. The food wasn't amazing but edible. The portions for the oxtail dinner was small to me and the the cost of the food is high. The oxtail was spicy but flavorful, the fried plantain was tough/rubbery as if it was microwaved, and the rice and peas was the best part of that meal. The curry chicken roti was more like soup and the roti was thick and tasted like a fried bakes.

I took a chance, despite my last selection & I was horrified by the skin left on rubbery oxtails, which was doused in vinegar and sauce to mask the unfavorable.. Not only that the cabbage was served raw, (it shouldn't be, it should be sautéed and was also vinegar laden, like it was being Brined, & put it on the plate raw... it was not edible, despite the frozen veggies sprinkle on top of the heavy ladened rice and congealed peas.) I couldn't eat any of it... and I'm so disgusted and disappointed, turn off is not even the word... I don't think I can revisit. This is unfortunate as I had been once before and I liked the curry chicken; be that as it may, they got this wrong... I'm feeling so disgusted and grossed out; $40+ dollars later ...My mistake... I took the Loss and am so turned off that I probably will hold off eating out for a while now; when you know better do better. When I tell you trust me, I mean it. Don't.

    Curried Chicken - 1 pound 12 ounces!
    Chuck D.

This was my first visit. I had the Curry Chicken with peas and rice and my son had the Jerk Chicken with peas and rice. Curry chicken was great, fall off the bone, seasoned well but didn't quite have the strong curry hit I love. My son liked the Jerk Chicken, ate every bite which is usually a good sign. The food was a solid 3.5, and I would definitely go again. The 4 is for the overall package. The place is clean, well lit, staff was friendly and order was up in about 10 mins. Locally owned and local are a huge plus - don't have to drive to the place by the Amish market for my fix... Since so many of the comments are about price... We both ordered smalls. The smalls are 1 3/4 pound of food (see picture)! We didn't order any drinks or extra sides. Tab was $25 after tax. That's $7.00 more than the last time we hit Wendy's, and there is obviously NO comparison. The prices are clearly marked, keep a mental tally, don't get carried away and it is right in the ballpark...

My fish looked nothing like this and did NOT taste as good as it looks!!!

This is the worse escovitch fish I have ever had. The cocoa bread was not fresh and had a cabinet after taste. The fried fish had no seasoning and was poorly served. It was by far the blandest no tasting "fried" fish that I ever had. I paid almost $40 for nothing. The lady with the Mohawk was nicer to the male customers. She acknowledged me and let my food sit on the counter for one of the men to package and hand to me. If I had known the food was going to taste so terrible, I would have asked for a refund at her "nastiness" alone. The worst part is that I spoke to the manager, who stated, their lack of quality production is due to a lack of resources and the rising cost of food. Sadly, my friend took Sick and vomited the fried fish. U fortunately, there wasn't enough fish to taste or enjoy the $27 escovitch red snapper. Save your money and time-feel free to message me for more details. Very disappointed in this black owned establishment.

    Curry Goat Meal

I went to this place not really knowing what to expect. I just know it looked really clean from the pix. Being from the Caribbean myself (born and raised) I tend to judge Jamaican abroad harshly. I bought three different plates. The goat. The oxtail abs the fish escabeche. All three plates didn't disappoint. My favourites where def the goat and the fish. I will be back there again very soon as it is a little out of my way but soo worth the drive. Caution. It is a little pricy but the taste is sooo worth it.

I went Sunday night to spend some time with friends who were in town for an event. I was certain that it was going to be packed in there, but it wasn't! I was able to grab a drink and get something that my nearby friend always takes pics of and makes me jealous: the fried wings... AKA the crack wings. They are still delicious! And they came out quickly. It doesn't look like they do karaoke anymore, but I'm glad to see they still do free pool on Wednesdays. I have heard from others how packed and slow it can get at peak times, but I am happy this wasn't that occasion. Hope they continue to do well. Also, I remember the building being white outside. This place had to be over the capacity as there was no moving space inside. The door was being held wide opened by a rock, I guess it was to give ventilation, which didn't help much at all. The bartenders are very very rude here (one in particular)they ignored customers, even refused to look up when a customer tries to get their attention. I've never seen bartenders be so rude. Also, there were only 2 bartenders working and AT LEAST 100 people present. The music was super loud and the sour smell at the bar was unbearable!!! I could not stay here long due to the heat and smell. This place has no security whatsoever, which seems a bit strange for the amount of people that were present. This spot is out of control.I seen people walking out of the door with drinks, even saw someone hit a car in the parking lot and pull off, this was my first and last visit.

No long waits to be seated or for a waiter to come and assist you. The ambiance is like any other sports bar/pub. TV's all around for sports and a long bar. towards the bar there's additional long/high chair tables to continue happy hour fellowship or group gatherings. (wish i had pics, can't find them!) I ordered the margarita flight and i asked for LALO tequila in all of the drinks. All of them were pretty interesting. I didn't really like the blood orange margarita, but the others were cool. I decided to order a ribeye steak (never had it before at BJ's decided to step out of my norm) As did my Bf. I was a little disappointed when received our food because our steaks were different shapes/thickness, too salty & not properly cooked to our preferred doneness. We brought this up to our waitress and asked for the Head Chef to re-make the steaks. She apologized and sent it back. In the interim, we enjoyed hot honey wings & you can never go wrong with the wings! no complaints, always a solid choice. The kitchen brought us both fresh steaks, and asked us was it cooked to our liking. The ribeyes looked like ribeyes, and rather than less seasoning, it tasted like there wasn't any seasoning at all. It was better than before but not 100%. However we agreed to avoid feeling like we are complaining too much. We continued our meal, paid, tipped & left. This felt like an honest accident as this location was fairly busy due to graduation season in the area. I also felt like I couldn't expect steakhouse quality from a tavern-styled restaurant. Moreover, it's BJ's food is good for what you get. I do enjoy BJ's, I do enjoy sticking to the food I know from there, and will see myself visiting again.

I arrived around 10 p.m. and honestly the highlight of my visit was the non alcoholic Blushing sangria. It was really good. I ordered the Steakhouse wedge salad, medium rare, but for some reason they were not able to deliver the steak at the temperature I requested. It came out medium well and the one piece I tried was extremely tough. I ended up sending the entire dish back. BJs does have a late night happy hour with some decent appetizers and drink options. They also offer a five dollars for five wings special, so I tried the dill pickle ranch dry rub wings which were actually good. That is all I ate for the evening. My date ordered the jambalaya which was okay and the lemon pepper wings. Service was the main downfall because everything took a while and our server could have checked on us more often. Overall the food was decent. P.S Bring back the Casamigos sparkling sangria.

Cousin Frisco Tap House…read more I absolutely love this place! The customer service is top-tier every single time we come in, the staff goes above and beyond. We usually pull up deep with our car family, and they handle our large group with so much patience and positive energy. It never feels like a hassle to them, which says a lot. Frisco has really opened its doors to our car community by hosting a Cars & Coffee series, and that kind of support doesn't go unnoticed. You can tell the whole team genuinely welcomes us they treat us like family every time. Now let's talk about the drinks...always on point! I'm a lightweight, so I only need one, and somehow they manage to make it just right because about two hours later, I'm exactly where I need to be...knocked out in my bed . And listen...THE CHICKEN & WAFFLES?! Hands down my favorite. So damn good every single time. Crispy, flavorful, and just hits the spot. We were seated quickly, and our server checked in a few times throughout the meal. We ordered a few appetizers to start: the crab dip, fried pickles, and wings; and they were all great. Everything came out hot, flavorful, and well-seasoned. If you come here, the apps are definitely worth it. Plus they served their pickles as chips versus spears, which in my opinion are much better! For my entrée, I went with something simple: grilled chicken with asparagus. Usually, that's a boring choice, but it ended up being one of the better versions I've had. The chicken was cooked perfectly, not dry at all, and had good seasoning. The asparagus still had a little snap to it, which I appreciated. The atmosphere was probably my least favorite part. The dining area felt a bit like a banquet room; it was very open, large, and with fewer tables than you'd expect. It didn't feel as comfortable as you would expect, but it was clean and spacious, so no real complaints there. All in all, the food was good, the service was okay, and while the setting wasn't my style, it's a solid place to grab a bite. I'd go back for the appetizers alone.
