I'm bummed they took the Matcha lemonade off the menu. I don't do well with dairy and this was my go to. The coffee isn't bad and the staff is very friendly. Plenty of indoor seating and parking is metered out front.

I finally checked out GG Coffee and Matcha since I've heard great things about it. It's run by the same owners as Trophies Burgers, which is still on my list to try. I ordered the pastrami breakfast burrito. It's yummy, but honestly, it didn't feel very special. There's no real wow factor, and the green sauce is kind of plain. On the bright side, it's a good deal at $12. For $16, you can bundle it with a latte, so I grabbed a mocha. The mocha tastes like a standard mocha, but the breakfast burrito leaves you wishing for more flavor since it's a little bland. It is a solid, affordable neighborhood option, but it won't blow your mind.

I DoorDashed breakfast from here and the drink and food I had was okay. For drinks, I ordered the Matcha Einspanner and it was decent, but not the best. First of all the matcha itself was good and standard. I liked that it wasn't too weak or milky. The cream top was kind of disappointing though. It was fluffy and creamy, but it lacked flavor and sweetness. For food, I ordered the Breakfast Burrito with bacon and it was decent. It was cooked and wrapped nicely and wasn't too greasy which I liked. The filling was decent, but not the most flavorful. I wish there was more salty bacon. It came with a tomatillo salsa and ketchup which were nice toppings for the burrito though. However, the burrito overall wasn't special. Both of the items I ordered were on the smaller side, but were good portion sizes that aren't too much for a breakfast. However, the price was too high for the matcha portion size being almost $8 for a small cup. Overall, a decent experience here. Not a go-to spot for breakfast/matcha, but I would try this spot again.

Went to a pop up event near this coffee shop and happen to stop by. I got a matcha latte with oat milk and honey and GG matcha einspanner. Both really good rich and sweet! The place reminds me of a vintage shop. Customer service was amazing. I was able to walk to this store since it was so close to the event. Love LA matcha.

If I forgot the crowd for awhile, this side of the city always got me hooked with so many things it offered, especially its never ending supply of cafes and restaurants to explore. GG did catch my interest given how high it's rated and the great reviews it attained. From pictures the design looked classic, but the actual vibe was actually more casual than I thought. Compared to atypical coffee shops around the neighborhood, I would say their prices were slightly more affordable. Initially intended to get coffee only, I couldn't help to skip the sea salt chocolate chip cookie when I spotted it on the showcase right next to the order point. Being heated upon order surely elevated it though I would say I had better ones in other cafes. Still worth trying nonetheless! I got their signature cold brew with maple syrup and touch of cinnamon, added with dash of almond milk. It's tad acidic, but still in a good way and felt refreshing. I loved how the maple syrup gave sweetness into the drink, but not overpowering the taste. Overall it felt refreshing and surely would be right choice if you dislike overly milky coffee.

I discovered this coffee shop today while walking down Fairfax Avenue and seeing a sign out front advertising a $15 coffee + breakfast burrito deal. My first thought was, "A coffee shop offering good value in Los Angeles? Sounds too good to be true." And yet, it was true! The Barista, Derek, was so friendly and charming and let me know that the deal included a breakfast burrito with any meat or avacado and any coffee drink of my choice. I opted for a chorizo breakfast burrito and an iced vanilla latte--both were delicious. With the cute and modern vibe of the cafe, the excellent service, and the good product for a good price, GG Coffee has definitely found itself a new regular.

Came across this cozy cafe while walking on Fairfax. I ordered their special matcha latte. You can tell that they use high grade matcha. It tasted really good without any additional flavor or sweeteners. The staff was nice and our drinks came out quick. The design of the place was also aesthetically pleasing. Absolutely amazing spot for a coffee or matcha. I got the GG matcha latte with my friend and I found to be better than Community Good's. It was rich, smooth, and flavorful with just the right amount of vanilla. My friend got the horchata cold brew which was also excellent. The staff was super friendly and the seating was plentiful and comfy. Definitely will be back!

The food was FRESH and the drink was very good and the service even better :) Easily found parking on a Tuesday morning. Ordered the breakfast sandwich, the bread was soft, jam was sweet, and I could tell the egg was freshly made along with the bacon. The hash brown was perfectly crispy and also really hot. Overall great sandwich. I'm usually hesitant to buy food from a cafe, don't really like the microwaved vibe but this was actually real food, woohoo! Person at the front was super helpful and friendly, which paired with the cute decor and music, made the whole experience amazing! 10/10 would recommend read more

My wife and I stumbled across GG Coffee and Matcha while in Beverly Grove. It's a small but cozy cafe on Fairfax Ave between Clinton St. & Rosewood Ave. There are some tables and chairs inside if you wanted to hang around or use their WiFi, but most customers get their orders to go. The menu is short and sweet and surprisingly decently priced - so many hipster doofus places upcharge the hell outta you! It seemed like there was only one employee so service was a little slow but not outrageously so. Wifey ordered an iced mocha while I had a horchata cold brew. Honestly GG Coffee and Matcha is a nice chill place to grab a drink while walking around the area. If you're nearby, check them out! read more

Darrick is a wonderful human being. I came in and wanted to buy a tonic drink as I had an upset stomach. He crafted the best drink and I am already feeling so much better. He also made an insane matcha drink for my daughter and she absolutely loved it. I would come to this place every day if I lived in the neighborhood. Loved the unique matcha fusion drinks! The deep green color and flavors is what really stood out to me. Really enjoyed the matcha raspberry tonic and matcha horchata. Everything was not too sweet :) The staff was friendly! The interior is nice and has a nice ambience. You'll have to find street parking. read more

Adorable little coffee shop that has a good vibe and also good matcha. A lot of their options feature oat milk, but I think that I much prefer the more standard dairy. A few occasions I have gone now see only one staff member servicing everyone which means that the line can be a bit long -- but that is because everything is for sure crafted with care. read more

A cute little neighborhood coffee spot that's very serious about their coffee. The baristas are all dialed in and are very well trained. Everything was on point which is impressive since they just opened. The prices are also very reasonable compared to all the coffee shops in the area especially since they actually use high quality milks. Delicious matcha, wonderful service, and a beautiful space! I popped into GG Coffee and Matcha just to pick up but I wish I could have stayed longer. There is plenty of seating, the space is beautifully decorated and the matcha is spectacular. I ordered the GG Matcha Latte which is made with KOATJI oat milk that I hadn't tried before. It's not too creamy, it was a really great texture to accompany the matcha. I highly recommend it! I also ordered a warmed up chocolate chip cookie which was very good! If you're in the area definitely give GG a try! read more

Love GG's! So happy they finally opened. They serve Madlab Coffee's Dolly Blend & Rocky's Matcha. Oat milk by default is Koatji Oat Milk. Really cute interior with a few booths and tables. Prices aren't bad considering the location on Fairfax. Drink came to $7.38 pre tip. Will definitely be visiting regularly. read more

live around the corner from this place. amazing spot, amazing quality, great vibes, friendly and cool staff. While there are a lot of great coffee spots in the area, their matcha is way above anything nearby in terms of quality. espresso is equally killer. menu has a good selection, definitely is quality over quantity - everything is 10/10. hope this spot sticks around, definitely my new favorite! read more

GG Coffee & Matcha is a heaven send! So happy that you guys have opened up in the neighborhood as I live a five minute walk away. I used to stand in line and wait for up to an hour or more to get my fix of Rocky's Matcha around the corner but now I'm so happy to say that I can get it with basically no wait for even cheaper here!!! The staff is amazing and very knowledgeable and the inside is beautiful! I will definitely be coming back regularly as this will easily become my go to. I haven't tried the coffee here yet but I know they're using premium ingredients so I gotta try that on my next run. read more

Went to GG's Coffee and Matcha today for 2nd time. The first time I went it was during their soft opening hours so I missed it. Finally I am able to get it today and they close at 4pm. I got the GG's Matcha Latte lightly sweetened. It was really good and not too sweet, mixed well. Definitely recommend this one if you like matcha. Got to talk to the very friendly Logan for like 30 mins haha. She told me that they will be serving baked goods very soon. She was very cool and good listener as I blabbered off about all kinds of random stuff. I came at a slower time so there was a lot of empty seating. The place really nicely designed. It has a very classy high end look to the space. Will definitely come back again and try something new and also looking forward to their daily specials. read more

I cannot recommend this spot enough. Very kind and sweet people. You always feel welcome walking in! Great selection of drinks and I love the breakfast "pop-up" options they have every once in a while. My go to is the matcha or a cortado! They carry beans from madlab, Rocky's matcha as well. So definitely a sense of quality! The space is super cool - classic vibe, great seating and music is vibe! They also do some cool collaboration pop-ups that's pretty awesome. read more

Honestly.. it simply just tasted like vanilla milk. I felt that the matcha flavor was not present, and my drink quickly became watery and not very pleasant to drink. The barista was really nice and it was quiet in there which I appreciated.. but the matcha was just not it. read more

So so so happy that you guys have opened! Came here this last Saturday to get some Matcha and an oat milk latte with my girlfriend, and both were so good. The Matcha was delicious which I noticed was Rocky's Matcha ceremonial grade blend with oat milk in their house vanilla syrup..... one word DELICIOUS. Usually I get Matcha at the shop on Little Santa Monica in Beverly Hills and it came out to $8.28 which is ridiculous. Here my Matcha latte was so much better and cheaper. My girlfriend said her latte was delicious too. Really great design as well. Will definitely be back for my Matcha fix. read more

GG's is my favorite for matcha! All their syrups are made in house and taste so good. They use ceremonial grade matcha and my matcha is the perfect color. I also love the mocha latte when I'm feeling something sweeter. Their coffee is well brewed and has a clean crisp taste. I also love the decor. Despite the crowds, the staff is always friendly and works quickly for the amount of people they're serving. My favorites are the Matcha Einspanner and Hojicha Einspanner with whole milk. Both are SO smooth with strong tea flavors. The matcha leans nutty, which I love, while the hojicha has such a rich, earthy flavor. This is genuinely one of the best places I've had matcha and hojicha, and I've tried a lot of both. The Breakfast Sliders are another favorite and absolutely worth getting if you make it before they stop serving them. They're delicious on their own, but the sauces that come with them make them even better. No matter how busy Community Goods gets, I always find myself coming back whenever I'm in the area. We don't come to West Hollywood often, so when we saw the extremely long line, we decided to wait anyway. I already knew this place was popular, so waiting wasn't the issue. We ended up being there for around an hour, and I was completely prepared for that. What bothered me was how poorly the crowd was being managed and, more importantly, how unnecessarily rude one of the staff members was. The shop itself is VERY small, yet when we finally reached the entrance, there was nobody managing the door, explaining the capacity limit, or telling customers when they were allowed to enter. Naturally, when it appeared to be our turn, I walked inside with my sister behind me. As soon as I entered, a male employee who was working across the counter asked me, "Are you with the group in front of you?" I said no, and he very rudely told me that I needed to go back outside. I don't know what his actual position was, but he appeared to possibly be a manager or someone in charge because he was constantly moving around the shop and handling different things. My issue was: how exactly was I supposed to know I wasn't allowed inside yet? This was my first time here. There was no employee stationed at the entrance, no one directing the line, and nobody explaining that customers needed to wait for permission before entering. I had absolutely no problem going back outside and waiting longer. What I DID have a problem with was being spoken to like I had knowingly done something wrong when their own system was unclear. Ironically, shortly afterward, I watched that same employee go to the front and actually start managing the indoor entrance, asking groups how many people they had and telling people when they could enter. Exactly what should have been happening in the first place. Had someone been doing that when we reached the door, the entire interaction could have been avoided. Once we finally reached the register, the cashier was actually incredibly sweet and kind. She was probably the best part of the customer service experience, and I genuinely appreciated her. We ordered two matcha Einspanners and two coffee Einspanners. The drinks also came out quickly, which I appreciated after the long wait. Then, while leaving, there was another employee stationed near the entrance. My sister and I were each carrying drinks, so both of our hands were completely full. The employee appeared distracted and didn't offer any assistance with the door, so I literally had to maneuver it open while trying not to spill our expensive drinks. Is opening the door technically required? No. But when you're stationed right there and see customers struggling with their hands full, it would have been a small gesture of basic hospitality. As for the actual drinks: they were genuinely good. I preferred the matcha over the coffee, and I can understand why people like them. But when I look at the experience as a WHOLE; the price, tiny drink size, extremely long line, limited space/seating, parking situation, crowd management, and customer service; I simply cannot justify coming back. You're essentially spending close to the price of a meal on a small drink that can be finished in a few minutes, after potentially waiting an hour, only to receive an attitude from staff because you didn't understand a system that nobody explained to you. If a business knows it regularly draws crowds this large while operating out of such a small space, there should be a better system in place. Have someone consistently managing the entrance. Clearly communicate when customers can enter. Develop a better queue system. Most importantly, don't make customers feel stupid or unwelcome for not understanding rules that were never communicated to them. The drinks may be good, but good drinks alone don't make a good café experience. There are far too many cafés in West Hollywood and LA with great coffee and matcha where I don't have to wait an hour, spend nearly $10 on a tiny drink, struggle with parking, AND deal with rude service. For me, Community Goods was absolutely not worth the hype or the wait. One rude interaction within seconds of walking through the door completely set the tone for what should have been an enjoyable first visit. Great drinks. Sweet cashier. Terrible first impression and poorly managed customer experience. I won't be waiting in that line again.

GG Coffee & Matcha is such a great find! We stopped by for breakfast and were really impressed. I had the sandwich, and my husband tried the burrito--both were super tasty and fresh. The matcha was incredible: smooth, vibrant, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. I also tried the yuzu espresso tonic, which was so refreshing and different from anything I've had before. The atmosphere is cozy and cool, making it a perfect spot to relax or catch up with friends. Julie made our visit even better--she was genuinely kind, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. The employees came across as standoffish and rude, and I felt unnecessarily rushed while placing my order. What made it especially frustrating was that I was the only person in line to order. There were customers waiting for their drinks, but no one was waiting behind me, so the rushed attitude felt completely unnecessary. The coffee itself was good, but the overall experience with the staff overshadowed it. Unfortunately, based on this visit, I wouldn't be inclined to return.

For the first coffee, the barista asked whether it should be iced or hot, and my friend chose iced. When I ordered mine and another friend's Louis Latte, she didn't ask about hot or iced, so I assumed they only served it hot. When our drinks came out, both Louis Lattes were iced. I didn't complain because I'm not the type to make a fuss, but to my surprise, it turned out to be the best iced coffee I've had so far. I honestly can't explain it -- it was just really, really good. Now I actually want to try it hot next time. I'm definitely coming back, and I highly recommend the Louis Latte. Their matcha is also fantastic: smooth, flavorful, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. Between the beautiful atmosphere, exceptional drinks, and friendly service, it's easy to see why this place has become a favorite of mine. I highly recommend it and will definitely keep coming back!
