I DoorDashed breakfast from here and the drink and food I had was okay. For drinks, I ordered the Matcha Einspanner and it was decent, but not the best. First of all the matcha itself was good and standard. I liked that it wasn't too weak or milky. The cream top was kind of disappointing though. It was fluffy and creamy, but it lacked flavor and sweetness. For food, I ordered the Breakfast Burrito with bacon and it was decent. It was cooked and wrapped nicely and wasn't too greasy which I liked. The filling was decent, but not the most flavorful. I wish there was more salty bacon. It came with a tomatillo salsa and ketchup which were nice toppings for the burrito though. However, the burrito overall wasn't special. Both of the items I ordered were on the smaller side, but were good portion sizes that aren't too much for a breakfast. However, the price was too high for the matcha portion size being almost $8 for a small cup. Overall, a decent experience here. Not a go-to spot for breakfast/matcha, but I would try this spot again. read more

Loved the unique matcha fusion drinks! The deep green color and flavors is what really stood out to me. Really enjoyed the matcha raspberry tonic and matcha horchata. Cute little spot, and the barista was really friendly when I came in. I ordered the Matcha Einspanner ($6.75), and the matcha was smooth and tasty, though the cup was a bit small in my opinion. Parking can be a little tricky since it's metered street parking, but the place itself is a nice little café. It's small, but it actually makes it a pretty good spot to sit and study for a bit. read more

Stumbled on a hidden gem! The matcha quality is good (not great but I'm extremely picky about matcha), and I like that it's unsweetened (besides the strawberry puree which tasted super fresh and house made). They hand whisked each drink so just a heads up that it takes a while! I would definitely recommend the visit if you're around the area. read more

The food was FRESH and the drink was very good and the service even better :) Easily found parking on a Tuesday morning. Ordered the breakfast sandwich, the bread was soft, jam was sweet, and I could tell the egg was freshly made along with the bacon. The hash brown was perfectly crispy and also really hot. Overall great sandwich. I'm usually hesitant to buy food from a cafe, don't really like the microwaved vibe but this was actually real food, woohoo! Went to a pop up event near this coffee shop and happen to stop by. I got a matcha latte with oat milk and honey and GG matcha einspanner. Both really good rich and sweet! A hidden gem near Fairfax High School! I stopped by on a weekday and was able to find meter parking nearby. It's small, cozy, and has a relaxed vibe. I discovered this coffee shop today while walking down Fairfax Avenue and seeing a sign out front advertising a $15 coffee + breakfast burrito deal. My first thought was, "A coffee shop offering good value in Los Angeles? Sounds too good to be true." And yet, it was true! The Barista, Derek, was so friendly and charming and let me know that the deal included a breakfast burrito with any meat or avacado and any coffee drink of my choice. I opted for a chorizo breakfast burrito and an iced vanilla latte--both were delicious. With the cute and modern vibe of the cafe, the excellent service, and the good product for a good price, GG Coffee has definitely found itself a new regular. read more

If I forgot the crowd for awhile, this side of the city always got me hooked with so many things it offered, especially its never ending supply of cafes and restaurants to explore. GG did catch my interest given how high it's rated and the great reviews it attained. From pictures the design looked classic, but the actual vibe was actually more casual than I thought. Compared to atypical coffee shops around the neighborhood, I would say their prices were slightly more affordable. Initially intended to get coffee only, I couldn't help to skip the sea salt chocolate chip cookie when I spotted it on the showcase right next to the order point. Being heated upon order surely elevated it though I would say I had better ones in other cafes. Still worth trying nonetheless! I got their signature cold brew with maple syrup and touch of cinnamon, added with dash of almond milk. It's tad acidic, but still in a good way and felt refreshing. I loved how the maple syrup gave sweetness into the drink, but not overpowering the taste. Overall it felt refreshing and surely would be right choice if you dislike overly milky coffee. read more

Adorable little coffee shop that has a good vibe and also good matcha. A lot of their options feature oat milk, but I think that I much prefer the more standard dairy. A few occasions I have gone now see only one staff member servicing everyone which means that the line can be a bit long -- but that is because everything is for sure crafted with care. read more

Absolutely amazing spot for a coffee or matcha. I got the GG matcha latte with my friend and I found to be better than Community Good's. It was rich, smooth, and flavorful with just the right amount of vanilla. My friend got the horchata cold brew which was also excellent. Delicious matcha, wonderful service, and a beautiful space! I popped into GG Coffee and Matcha just to pick up but I wish I could have stayed longer. There is plenty of seating, the space is beautifully decorated and the matcha is spectacular. I ordered the GG Matcha Latte which is made with KOATJI oat milk that I hadn't tried before. It's not too creamy, it was a really great texture to accompany the matcha. I highly recommend it! I also ordered a warmed up chocolate chip cookie which was very good! GG Coffee & Matcha is a heaven send! So happy that you guys have opened up in the neighborhood as I live a five minute walk away. I used to stand in line and wait for up to an hour or more to get my fix of Rocky's Matcha around the corner but now I'm so happy to say that I can get it with basically no wait for even cheaper here!!! The staff is amazing and very knowledgeable and the inside is beautiful! I will definitely be coming back regularly as this will easily become my go to. Went to GG's Coffee and Matcha today for 2nd time. The first time I went it was during their soft opening hours so I missed it. Finally I am able to get it today and they close at 4pm. I got the GG's Matcha Latte lightly sweetened. It was really good and not too sweet, mixed well. Definitely recommend this one if you like matcha. Got to talk to the very friendly Logan for like 30 mins haha. She told me that they will be serving baked goods very soon. She was very cool and good listener as I blabbered off about all kinds of random stuff. I came at a slower time so there was a lot of empty seating. The place really nicely designed. I cannot recommend this spot enough. Very kind and sweet people. You always feel welcome walking in! Great selection of drinks and I love the breakfast "pop-up" options they have every once in a while. My go to is the matcha or a cortado! They carry beans from madlab, Rocky's matcha as well. So so so happy that you guys have opened! Came here this last Saturday to get some Matcha and an oat milk latte with my girlfriend, and both were so good. The Matcha was delicious which I noticed was Rocky's Matcha ceremonial grade blend with oat milk in their house vanilla syrup..... one word DELICIOUS. Usually I get Matcha at the shop on Little Santa Monica in Beverly Hills and it came out to $8.28 which is ridiculous. Here my Matcha latte was so much better and cheaper. My girlfriend said her latte was delicious too. Really great design as well. Will definitely be back for my Matcha fix. read more

GG's is my favorite for matcha! All their syrups are made in house and taste so good. They use ceremonial grade matcha and my matcha is the perfect color. Over the next several days, the burn blistered and the skin peeled. I contacted the café privately and sent photos because I wanted to give them an opportunity to respond before posting publicly. Unfortunately, I never received a reply. I'm sharing this so others can be aware. Hot beverages should be served safely, lids should be secure, and customers should be warned when a drink is hot enough to cause burns. I usually get espresso-based drinks or their cold brew, and I've never been disappointed by the drink quality or the time it takes to prepare my beverages. There's ample seating both indoors and outdoors, and I could see why this would be a popular spot for reading or getting work on your laptop done.

There was just a couple of people inside when we arrived. The evenings are usually busier with several people inside and on the outdoor courtyard which has a few tables. We both ordered cheesecake and we loved them. Very fresh, flavorful, and creamy in texture. I had the Oreo Cheesecake and my friend had the Mocha Cheesecake. My friend also had a Fusion Mocha Shake which he said tasted great with the right amount of mocha flavoring for his taste. We spoke to the owner/baker after we ate to compliment his desserts. I asked how business was and he said unfortunately slow. He mentioned how restaurants in general were having a hard time in the current uncertain economy. It has nothing to do with his products. The desserts and treats are great. If you can, give this spot a try. And the prices are reasonable considering the quality of the desserts. There's a promotion for new customers. Whatever amount you spend on your first visit, you earn that amount in credits towards your next purchase. It's all automated through your phone number. Open everyday until midnight. GG Coffee & Matcha is such a great find! We stopped by for breakfast and were really impressed. I had the sandwich, and my husband tried the burrito--both were super tasty and fresh. The matcha was incredible: smooth, vibrant, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. I also tried the yuzu espresso tonic, which was so refreshing and different from anything I've had before. The atmosphere is cozy and cool, making it a perfect spot to relax or catch up with friends. Julie made our visit even better--she was genuinely kind, attentive, and made us feel so welcome.
