This spot is hidden gem in Kimball Junction outside of Park City. We had a late reservation and it was key - super awesome & quick service. Not one bad meal on the table - beautiful presentation and tasted even more delicious. We were celebrating a birthday and we got the gelato cones on the house. Love this place! Bill White scores another winner with one of the best home made pastas around. We have enjoyed everything on their menu including their pappardelle bolognese , chicken Parmesan, Caesar salad, chicken dumpling soup, minestrone soup, crispy duck confit, and homemade gelato sampler. The staff is always gracious and we really like their manager Lail who personally comes to check on guests and make us feel welcome. Our server tonight was Andre who was wonderful. It's near the Red Stone theaters so good for before or after a show. This place is also very romantically and beautifully decorated. You feel like you are in Europe. All I have to say is wow!! Whoever found and hired the new manager deserves a raise! We have been coming to Ghidottis for quite some time and this last visit was by far the best we have ever experienced! Our server Angie was fantastic , sweet, personable and attentive but Christy set the bar high. She greeted us at the door with a warm and welcoming smile. She checked in on us a couple of times, chatted with us about some local events and complimented my outfit. We watched as she floated around the room with a smile on her face, chatting and joking with the customers, playing with the kids (there was a little boy who was just smitten with her), refilling drinks, and helping where needed. It appeared she may have been training an employee but still managed to greet everyone at every table. My husband and I could tell that she enjoyed her job and how much her staff likes her. The vibe in the restaurant was just different, light, fun and welcoming. It felt like we were all just one big happy family. We love the new Ghidottis!! However, new service needs new decor and food. While we left full and didn't really have any specific complaints, both the food and decor are just ok, but a bit outdated, bland and feels like 1980's Italian. We'll be back though, if nothing else just for the wonderful service. read more

Very poor service, very poor food doesnt have a taste with small portions. We got the bread 30 mins later.complained we didnt like it they didnt do anything. Told them its my wife birthday when booking they didnt do anything. They gave almost all tables free icecream but not us. They didnt agree to do for us a non alcholic moctail . We have been in Park City for over a year and never tried Ghidotti's but were craving Italian food, so we gave it a try. Wow..everything was fantastic. I had the Pork Oso Bucco, and it was perfect. My wife had the Chicken Parmigiana, and she loved it (and so did I after a taste). Excellent service, delicious food, and a pleasant atmosphere. With very few Italian restaurants in Park City, we will go back to Ghidotti's often! read more

The place has very nice decorations and didn't take long at all for the waiter to come and beforehand we got garlic bread. When the food came it smelled and tasted really good and also was cooked very well. I didn't have any desert but it looked really good. Overall this place is very nice. read more

I would give zero star if I could. We came on a ski trip to Park City to celebrate a special occasion with three teenage boys. We saw the good reviews and decided to try this place for dinner. The first thing we mentioned to our waiter was that the kids were very hungry and want to get food as fast as possible. To make a long story short, even after I stressed that to our waiter and requested him to order in such way to get the food out to the table asap, so we placed the entire order include appetizers all at once and told him to expedite and bring whatever was ready out as fast as possible. Over an hour later, still no food in sight. And we watched our waiter served the table that arrived 30 minutes after us the same appetizer that we had ordered. And when we questioned him about it, he tried to place the blame on the kitchen and us the customer stating because we ordered the appetizers and the entrees all at once so it would take longer. When the food finally came out 80 minutes later, pizza was clearly burned and dried up probably sitting under the heat lamp waiting for the entrees. And I ordered fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp which he repeated back to me, and it arrived with garlic butter sauce. We didn't touch it and sent it back. By now, we are two hours in the restaurant and our waiter came back to tell us saying " I can't do anything about the kitchen but the manager will comp you some food". This infuriated us, as if we were after free food and not truly apologizing for the mishap. I totally lost my appetite and hardly touched my veal. The manager was apologetic and comped our food. But still claimed that the excuse was they're understaffed and couldn't help it. That doesn't explain why table next to us got the same appetizer that we ordered right away before we got ours and we've waited over an hour. In the end, I recommend that you don't go to this restaurant on a busy night because our horrible experience happened on a Monday, not even on a busy weekend. read more

We have been to Ghidotti's with couples and family several times over last couple of years. The experience is always consistent. The wait staff know their menu, which I am finding more rare these days. The portions are all large and served piping hot. Last night Tom did a great job taking care of us, including recommending the special of the night, seared hanger steak. The only thing better than the steak, were the fried smashed potatoes that accompanied them. My wife finished them off and couldn't finish her steak! Our friends both had the pork Osso Bucco. It was huge and well cooked. It had a side of fresh pasta and veggies which were great compliments to the hearty dish. We have gotten take out from here as well. It is gourmet way to entertain friends and they are well prepared to package your food. read more

Hard to rate this place since it started with great service by Jager. The house Merlot was excellent - meaty and dry. The Salmon Piccata was just okay. No sauce on the Salmon but the accompanying pasta was the star of the plate with capers and Broccolini. My wife's Osso Bucco was under seasoned and required lots of salt and pepper. I order gluten free pasta (it was under cooked and not tasty), husband had pizza and it was so so the only thing that was better was the Caesar salad. The ambience is nice but service was poor. While we sat for so long waiting to be greeted by server (again remember 15 mins) I sat and watched multiple other employees just stand and talk to each other while we just sat. Also the server was not good at upselling products when he told husband the beer he ordered was subpar. Definitely need to improve on their customer service skills that's for sure. read more

I got the lasagna & my, oh my.. it was DELICIOUS. It was so soft & this might be strange to say, but it was just the right temperature!! Hahaha the cheese was perfectly melted and even the portion was just enough to not feel sluggish but still very content. I 10/10 recommend. read more

Untill I catched some personal in the restaurant to get help. - 30 min to get scallops. Now we are almost 2 hours at a place... Scallops extremely oversalted & a little overcooked. Usually, this is a favorite and we are long time regulars but things are sliding. This is especially true with the excessive salt and tonight, a manager that didn't care to do the right thing. (This guy was not Lawrence or Joe...) The meal was great except for the Shrimp and Crab pasta dish. The prior time we came, the Bolognese was waaaay too salty but lived with it. This time, the shrimp in the dish was over the top salty and the whole dish was a little too much -- like someone lost their palate to smoking or something. We sent most of the original shrimp back and the manager came back with new "no salt" shrimp that were still overly salty. He claimed he watched it being cooked with no salt added but maybe it was a twice-used pan? This guy couldn't discount the protein not consumed and sent back. We will need to take a break from Ghidotti's for awhile, just like we took a 2 year break from Sushi Blue across the street when an abusive sushi chef held his job too long. read more

This place was less than mediocre. We went there for Valentines Day, which I thought was a steal because I booked it last minute, but now I know why they had space. The food was bland and the portions were tiny. The service was even worse it took about 35-40 minutes for appetizer and another 20-30 minutes for the entree. We had to ask to get our water refilled. You will spend well over $130 for two people without wine and it is entirely not worth it. We would have been better off going to Olive Garden. read more

Always amazing food and service when we come here. Carsons smile is always inviting and warm, even on the rainiest nights. Liz recognized my party, knew our size, table and sat us in a flash. Matias not only serves us food but also conversation (aka puts up with our ridiculous jokes and questions). The Jupiter of Ghidotti's, Joe, is nothing short of a Roman god himself. We've been ordering the Family Meal Deal, for several years. But the last 2 times, the food was VERY disappointing! We usually just get the chicken Parm. I picked up our order last night & drove 30 min, to our house. I didn't look at the order until I got home and knew immediately it wasn't going to be good. However, we I've too far away, to take it back. The chicken was SO over cooked and dry! The pasta was OK. The Caesar salad was VERY disappointing as well. The lettuce seemed like cheap, bagged lettuce. I was surprised the Parmesan cheese was grated ( like from a shaker can) and not fresh shredded. Bottom line, wasn't worth the $$ read more

Ghidotti's - Dry, over cooked chicken. - Italian Near Me - Park City, Utah

My family was in Park City for our summer vacation. We decided to eat at Ghidotti's, as it was close to where we were staying and the menu looked good. The first warning sign was that the restaurant was almost completely deserted. This was about 7:00 pm on a weekday evening. My wife ordered a dish containing shrimp, and my son ordered a pizza. After we ordered we waited...and waited...and waited. We were seated outside, and at one point my wife saw an employee of the restaurant leave, then come back about 15 minutes later. She was like "I wonder if someone had to go to the grocery store to buy shrimp?" We finally got our food. Three of the four entrees were fine. However, it was like Ghidotti's had my son's pizza in the oven the entire time we were waiting for our entrees. It was incredibly burned. By that time we figured it was pointless to mention it to the waiter, since: 1) it had taken forever to receive our food; 2) no competent restaurant would have served such a pizza to a customer. Our waiter was aware that the service/meal was horrible, so Ghidotti's did give us a free ice cream dessert. However, it was a case of the proverbial "too little, too late." It actually made things more awkward, as it extended our time there and delayed us paying the check and leaving. This is a restaurant where the pastas run from $22 - $24 and the entrees start at $30. So, it's not like one can write it off as "Hey, it's an inexpensive Italian dive, you can't expect good food or service." I wish we had made a better dining choice that night. read more

Great atmosphere and wonderful service, and the Arancini was out of this world! Unfortunately the entrees my wife and I had were not great. I had the chicken parm and it was so tough I sent it back. The pasta that came with it was a lump, and hard to get apart. My wife had the chicken Marsala, with no Marsala taste and again the chicken was a bit over done. Just as a small aside, we went there for our anniversary, but the restaurant offered nothing. Usually when you tell them it is your anniversary they bring some fun and cool. I will close by saying when the manager came by he took my chicken parm off the bill and did offer us a free desert. I absolutely love Italian food, so this restaurant was my pick of the week. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is formal. Although, people were dressed in everything from dressy to jeans and flip flops. The restaurant was elegant. However we were seated right next to the kitchen doors that stayed open the entire meal. Which in many restaurants is entertaining. Believe me this was not entertaining. I could see the waiters and chefs visiting, leaning against the counters...quite spoiled the atmosphere. And we made our reservations over a month in advance. The menu is somewhat limited. My husband loved their Caesar salad with yummie croutons. My daughters chicken Parmesan was also good. Not excellent. My ravioli with shrimp was good. It was the only thing that really sounded appealing. Although I don't love shrimp. So again. Good and not excellent. However, I heard the table behind us ordering the pasta and sauce they preferred (fettuccini Alfredo which was not on the menu... and would have been my preference). I really would have preferred some different choices of sauces. They only had tomato based or the butter sauce on the ravioli. No Alfredo or pesto sauces. The only thing excellent about this restaurant to me was the service. Disappointing. read more

I struggled with this review and made a decision to go three stars instead of two. My reasoning for this is as follows... The Caesar salad was really yummy. Fresh, crisp and just the right amount of dressing. The bread they served (after we asked a few times) was fresh and really good with the EVOO and Balsamic Vinegar that they served..... But that's where the positives stop. Other that the company we were with the service was a little odd to say the least. The food was way over priced for what you got and was well overly seasoned (Salt). We had the PAPPARDELLE BOLOGNESE and the GRILLED SALMON PICCATA, both had so much salt that I could only handle a few bites of the Bolognese. The salmon was good, but also very salty to the taste and lacked the proper amount of piccata sauce on one of the two we ordered. We did notify the server of the issues and he was quick to ask if we wanted something else,, which we declined. He was nice enough to take one of the two we ordered off the check, but both were well over salted that I would have taken both off the check. The place was pretty and I'm sure that they are trying for a high end Italian spot, but it really failed for me and I doubt very much that I will return top give it another try. Came to Park City for a girls weekend and were excited to try this restaurant. We wondered why it was so empty on a Friday night but soon realized. Food was mediocre I ordered the salmon which was a hard crusty brick of fish. The ambiance was pleasant enough but for the price the food or service wasn't that good. We asked the waiter to take our picture and he said hold on. He never came back. The restaurant was not busy then we noticed he was up front talking to a waitress. This restaurant is absolutely breathtaking...I was a fan from the start just based on the inviting patio, gorgeous chandeliers, and beautiful flowers. The service and the food was as good as the atmosphere. Ysana was our charming and knowledgeable waitress...if you want excellent service put in a request for Ysana! As far as the food we started off with bread that tasted like it came straight out of the oven and a glass of wine (something resembling sauvignon blanc for me). For our appetizer we ordered the shrimp/scallops in a pesto sauce, which we didn't realize came in a ravioli form...but didn't mind much because it was outstanding! Both my dad and I ordered the veal marsala entree (we don't branch out much in our family). I don't typically eat veal, but I may start eating it more often if it tastes as good as it did this evening! The sauce was so incredibly flavorful and the salad on top of the veal made me feel like I was eating something somewhat healthy...riiiggghhht. No dessert for us because we were beyond stuffed, but next time I may skip the bread for their delicious looking flourless chocolate cake, which I'm sure is incredible since Ghidottis seems to do everything well! read more
