    Matcha latte

Small, but cute coffee shop in Belltown. Came here to grab a matcha while walking around. The baristas here were nice and said hi to my dog. I enjoyed the matcha here and would come back.

Slow Day is the newest iteration of Cedar and Spokes, for the OG downtown coffee nerds. They used to roast beans in house on Western, and when I visited recently I was sad and shocked to see them closed. But lo and behold, Slow Day is here! Delicious coffee, great menu (the size options for "espresso and milk" is such a smart way to explain various drinks. Only ever saw that in Copenhagen and love its simplicity). Great and friendly service. Highly recommend. Also love that they are now a multiroaster and feature beans from all over. Very fun

Great place to get coffee or matcha. It's more of a coffee stand with probably only seating for 3 people. They have a super ceremonial matcha which I got since I've never tried it before. It almost taste like a double matcha, a matcha latte with matcha foam? Anyways it was good. I'd come back.

The ceremonial matcha was excellent. The barista was friendly and helpful. It's still a small space with minimal seating and lots of windows for sunlight that I remember from going when it was coffeetab (which moved down the street a block). It's a cute little spot that's great for a grab and go in a busy area of downtown.

Best coffee in the city - well crafted, simple but excellent menu, unusual coffees from interesting roasters.

They were brewing two light roasts for espresso and had a huge lineup for pour over, along with many roasts for sale.

Loved the vibe, friendly & mellow staff, and the seating area space. There are long tables to work at, comfy seating with games, and chairs to enjoy your coffee with friends. I ordered a drip to try out...did not disappoint. My kids ordered some iced coffee - sorry I wasn't paying attention when they ordered - and they were delicious! We did order a few food items to share for a snack but they were gone before I could snap a pictures. The coffee was perfect, no hint of burnt flavor. I heard the food was also good but it was gone before I sat down. The merch was simple but you will want to buy it all!

We got the salmon rice bowl, cauliflower and yodelin broth with shrimp added. The salmon rice bowl was essentially a salad topped on rice and fresh salmon. The quality of the ingredients were fantastic, you could tell how fresh it was but the actual dish itself wasn't anything crazy. The yodelin broth was a bowl of complex flavors. You could taste the fish, and it was very comforting. The mini shrimp in it were surprisingly good and they don't skimp out on the quantity. Finally, their cauliflower dish was delicious. It was a little crisp without being overly hard. The creamy sauces paired so well with the chili crisps. Definitely on the pricier end for the food but so good.

This was on a Sunday afternoon close to 5pm, and there were still so many people occupying nearly every seat inside. I did come back to try their matcha matcha drink only to find it gone from their current menu as of May 2026. Instead, their turon matcha immediately caught my eye, as it has banana and I've been obsessed with banana-flavored toppings and puree on my matcha lately. It has matcha and house banana puree, both of which work well together. The tiny layer of house banana puree has all the flavor, especially when you mix the whole drink together. Very refreshing, and their ceremonial matcha's grassy tones still came out despite the banana puree being just as strong in the drink. Their matcha here comes pretty close to making it to the highest spots on my list of my most favorite matcha places in Seattle. Even if it isn't on the top of that list, their drinks are still 5+ star quality.

I noticed that they now pour drinks from a pre-made plastic jug instead of making them fresh like when the store first opened. I usually don't get sick from drinking coffee but twice in a row is pretty bad. Their drinks are also overly sweet and most of them do not have a 0% sweet option, which is usually what I order from other coffee and tea shops, and it's probably because most of the ingredients are pre-mixed. They also use thick plastic cups, considering that Seattle is a pretty green city and a lot of similar Vietnamese coffee shops use sustainable cups. Sad to say, but my time visiting this chain has come to an end.
