Normally I'd be praising Ghost Box but not today. Ordered two Detroit style pizza, one mushrooms, spinach and sausage, the other bacon ranch. Our spinach mushroom sausage came out topped with tomato sauce tasting like Chef Boyardee! Disappointing for sure, the mushrooms were straight out the can and were so rubbery and wormlike my wife had to take off the pizza. Not sure why the cheap ingredients are now the norm, but sad. Visited this new place in Lafayette last night and it was supper yummy. We ordered the Mortadella & Melted Onion Detroit style pizza. It was really tasty but I didn't read the full description and it is a EVOO and garlic base so it has no pizza sauce. Still delish! Just wished I had registered the no sauce part. Next time I think we will try the Spicy Pepperoni! I also got the Tangerine Cream beer and it was very god. Could taste vanilla notes and the tangerine. Great with this pizza! Here's your chance to get some great Detroit Style Pizza. This pizza itself is slightly thinner than the normal Detroit Style Pizza I'm used too but that doesn't mean their pizza lacks flavor. Overall the food was great. The Pepperoni was awesome and the Chicken & Bacon Ranch was really good too. They were out of larger pizza dough for their Detroit Style so we had to order multiple smalls which worked out because we got to try multiple flavors. They were also out of the IPA I tried ordering, but once they work out some of the new business kinks this place is going to be a gem for sure. We stopped by on a sunny spring day afternoon and was able to score a nice table in sun/shade outside on their patio and overall were not disappointed. I can't believe I haven't been here sooner! Just what the area needs! The pizza is good, we had the cheesy bread, spicy pepperoni, and the prosciutto.. all were delicious! What I was most impressed was were the cocktails! Most pizza places don't have the greatest drink options.. I'm a big gin drinker and the gin sipper was awesome!! Stopped in today during the peach fest. We tried the wood fired Margherita and detour style host pig. The wood fired was a 3 out of 4 stars. Due to the crust. I know they don't claim this is Italian wood fired. That is my frame of reference. The crust has to much mouth feel, like it's been over worked for wood fired. Good but not great. The Detroit style pizza was a 5 out of 5. I do not have much experience with this style of pizza. It provides a crunchy, gooey, fluffy and a little spice. Absolutely perfect. The ghost pepper sauce is drowned out by the rest of the pizza, we requested a side of it. It is so good. I highly recommend this place. We will be visiting again. I love having a new pizza place in Lafayette, and I know they are new so the kinks might be getting worked out. They serve some decent beers here and Stem ciders. I can't fault the drinks, they have a full bar, and the place was very busy on a Friday night. We had reservations for 4. There were lots of families with kids and the staff were friendly and trying hard to keep up with everything, and they were doing a fine job. I don't think this place has been open very long but the management seem to be doing a good job, I know it isn't easy finding help these days. Wood-fired pizza: We ordered one and it was larger than we thought, it could have fed 2 adults pretty easily. Blistery, charred crust, decent toppings, if a bit dry when it came to sauce and not too generous with the cheese. But OK. Detroit style pizza: Sorry this was pretty meh. Small-ish, oddly oily crust, and it would be hard to describe the toppings as anything other than "skimpy". I thought Detroit style might be kind of indulgent, or something, but this was really not that much to write home about. Maybe I got a bad one? It seemed undercooked and pale...(?) Didn't look like the photos here on Yelp. If you come here and aren't a fan of Detroit-style, just stick to the Wood-fired pizza and you'll be fine. Picked up a to-go order a couple of weekends ago and was really impressed by the pizza! Tried both a Detroit-style and a New York-style and thought they were equally good. I took my grandson for an early dinner there last night. Here are the positives: our server Olivia was great, very attentive. The wings were very good and the pizzas were good as well. However, one of the pizzas was made with the wrong sauce so a new one had to be made. This was pretty annoying since my grandson was pretty much finished eating before my pizza arrived. This was the SECOND time this has happened to us at this restaurant, so we will not be going back. Let me also say that it was not busy. I could see the guys making pizza and they were clearly interested in the football game on TV. Olivia apologized several times, it was not her fault, she said it was the kitchen's mistake. The pizza is really good but this review is more about the customer service. I placed a to go order in person. At first I asked for a small Detroit style and 2 wood fired. As we processed that order I decided I wanted a 3rd wood fired pizza. It ended up needing to be a second transaction. When I came back to pick up my order it was just the Detroit pizza and a total of 2 wood fired. I was extremely upset because I knew what I had asked for, so I'm positive it was her not hearing me properly (the music was very loud). I was quite upset but we did verify that I'd only paid for one Detroit and 2 wood fired total so I received just what I had paid for. They put in a rush order for another wood fired pizza for me, at no cost to us. Plus, they gave me coupons for free pints (we don't drink but still, it was a nice gesture). At the end of the day, we could have chalked it up to an honest mistake but they went above and beyond and it really made my night. I wish I had tipped more than we did. read more

Party of four, two of the items ordered were out of stock. One of the items ordered was a buffalo chicken wrap and we were told right before the meal came that they were out of chicken and the choices were turkey or bacon. The server repeatedly asked if he could get rid of empty glasses and dishes. Just take them! Took 15 minutes to get the first beer and 15 minutes to get a second one even though we were one of three tables in the place. Pros: -Service was great and everyone was very friendly -$5 Stem cider -Pizza flavor - we had their special, Detroit style and the crust was great Cons: -Half salad for the price was a really small portion -Wings were not great. This was our first foray into Detroit style pizza and we have since re-visited a number of times because we love that cheesy crispy edge/crust. We've only done takeout here, but someone has always been available to quickly get us our pizzas out of the warming box, even when the restaurant appears pretty full. Out of their pre-determined toppings we've stuck with the chicken bacon ranch, but have opted to do custom add pepperoni to the margherita pizza over the spicy pepperoni pizza since we didn't find the ricotta and peppadew added that much more flavor for us. On our first order ever we got one of the wood fire pizzas as well, but have opted to stick with the Detroit style pizza. read more

My wife got a small salad which was good. We decided to split a wood fired pizza which was 1/2 Hawaiian and the other Margarita. It took a long time but that was not the problem. My half had about 6-7 very small pieces of ham and even smaller pieces of pineapple and very little red sauce on it. My wife had almost no red sauce and the crust tasted like cardboard. It was one of the worst pizzas we've ever had and for the price we were VERY disappointed. Also when it came time to paying I used a credit card and the tip started at 22% on up.
