I love this local beer garden / patio situation. I appreciate their beer/cider and food offerings! They are open Mondays too, which is sometimes hard to find haha. Beware, if it's your birthday, there is a bartender that may challenge you to chug a beer and you can win "anything you want" - but, he's so fast lol. Somehow he opens his throat and gulps it in 2 seconds. Don't get swindled!! Lolol it's still worth a try, and you get to enjoyed a free small beer lol. Highly recommend this spot for groups!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The set up was casual and comfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was good and the selections of beer was good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The wifi was a bit rough for a work day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]However, given how dog friendly the space was I'd definitely come back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Parking can be tricky. The food great quality for price and over al wild recommend.

We have been here a few times and every time has been a hit. The beer is delicious. And there is a pretty decent $3 beer on draft. The menu rotates maybe every few months, I'm not sure the frequency. One time I came and had some health issues where I had to eat a salad and so I ordered the salad and I was so sad about it. And it was seriously one of the most delicious salads I have ever tasted. My 8 year old daughter ordered empanadas and it was so good. The fries are also delicious every time. The last time we went, we had ghost pepper chicken wings. The person taking our order warned us it was super spicy and he struck me as the type who could handle spice. It was so spicy, sweat and tears and sinus clearance, which is the kind of spice I chase. It was wonderful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The seating area is completely outdoors and there is live music sometimes. Very dog and kid friendly and there's ample seating every time we have come even when it's busy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] All the food hits every time, as well as the beer and the service. Highly recommend.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a chill place to hang out with family and friend or even just to enjoy a meal on your own.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'd heard this place has a great selection of food and drinks (especially the beer), and that's absolutely true. We ordered the chicken wings, kale Caesar salad, and Philly steak sandwich. Everything was delicious, with generous portions that were easy to share. You can also buy beers to go, which is a nice bonus. Service was efficient: you order at the counter, and they bring the food to your table. We'll definitely be coming back!

Super crowded on a Saturday late afternoon and hard to find seating. Granted it's a Saturday in October, spooky season. Giant selection of IPAs!! Family friendly establishment. Didn't try the food but will next time!

    All looks YUMMY!

This part of town definitely doesn't feel like a ghost town because of this brewery: the large outdoor space, easy street parking, diverse beer selection and solid pub fare draws the neighborhood in. We were at nearby Chabot space center wondering where the hell are we going to have lunch with all these kids? A quick search turned up Ghost Town brewing and friends were like , is that in the safe part of town? :p (forgive them, they were out of towners!) We were all honestly blown away by the beer selection. The guys love their IPAs and the ladies had white wine. I have honestly never been very much of a beer person, so yes, I am that wine drinker that goes to breweries. (I tried!!) I give kudos to the staff for keeping the line going and making the ordering process pretty seamless. You order with the beer-tender and your food gets delivered to you. The food was pretty solid. From the wonderfully crispy fries, huge, chewy, pretzel, delicious fish and chips and cheese quesadilla. However, I did find my fish tacos lacking in flavor. So load up on the hot sauce they offer. The sleeper hit was the shrimp burger. OMG. I see what you did there! Very fresh, seasoned right and filling too. I don't go to Oakland much, but when I do, will be sure to be back here. Really love the kid friendly outdoor space and they are also dog friendly. Those two pretty much entertain each other so the adults get to relax a little bit, which is a big plus in my book.

I was there by myself on a busy Friday evening. There was a long line when I arrived but I had my beer in hand and food ordered before I expected so the staff was definitely hustling. Beer was cold and glasses were clean. I ordered the cod croquettes and the cheesesteak. The croquettes had a surprising kick and the cheesesteak was exactly what I was craving after I finished my second beer. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Heaters got turned on by staff just as it was starting to get cold.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I didn't take any beers to go, but they had a great selection available. Will definitely be back soon.

What a hidden gem! I know I'm late but the kitchen has something special here. I highly recommend everything we had including fish and chips, burrata tomato salad, and the wings. We got dry rub and original hot. Side of ghost pepper sauce was insane, please only order this if you have a serious spice tolerance!

Giving this place 3 stars for their sour options--which, honestly, I can't say much about. I was drawn in by the Yelp photos that made it look like a chill spot to vibe with a beer, but... no. After sampling their only sour, the "Taste of Fear," I can confirm it lived up to its name--it literally scared me away, lol. The flavor was more bitter than sour, and my face must have said it all because the server recommended their cider instead. I went with that, and while it was better, it still wasn't amazing. On the bright side, they've got heaters by the tables, which was a lifesaver because it was getting chilly. The food looked pretty appetizing, too. Not my best beer-tasting experience. Unless they rotate this sour out, I don't think I'd go out of my way to come back here.

Stopped in here while visiting our friends who are regulars here on a warm Saturday afternoon. Sitting in the shade was great. We all enjoyed a beer - I loved my sour. The food looked AMAZING and appeared to be coming out quickly. The murals and decor were great!

Great spot Our friend told us about this place We liked these _"another Lager": NA(non alcoholic) _cider(apple)

Empanadas & fish tacos - both scrumptious!
    Jasmine C.

Such a chill spot with a great selection of beer and outdoor seating for pups, kids, and family. We got the chicken strips for the kiddos, which they loved - high quality chicken breaded and fried to perfection. The fish tacos were so crunchy and juicy. The empanada (beef & potato) were so flavorful with the flakiest crust. The order came out super fast! Can't wait to try other goodies next time around.

    Pretzel

We met our friends on Saturday night. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place wasn't very busy, and there were a couple of dogs there since it's a dog-friendly bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The area was heated, so we felt comfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a good variety of IPAs and light beers, and the prices are reasonable. The food selection is pretty good too. We had a pretzel, a shrimp burger, chicken wings, and fried fish tacos, and we ordered pilsners to drink. We'll definitely come back!

When I went to close out my tab at the bar, the staff member who came over to help me gave me the dirtiest, impatient, pissed-off look that I've ever received in my life. It was as if I had kicked his dog and personally insulted him, his family and his entire generational line. When he gave me the payment device, he must have accidentally navigated away from correct screen because I didn't have any options to close out my tab (i.e. there was no tip screen, or place to request a receipt). I handed the device back to him and before I could point out the issue, he snatched the device away and rushed off. Knowing something was wrong, I waited at the counter for a few minutes for him to return. I raised the billing issue and his curt response was "you must have waited too long and the screen disappeared -- you're fine". I returned to my table knowing that something was off, but left with my friends since they needed to head out to a dinner reservation. After we had said our goodbyes to our friends outside the brewery, I shared the strange interaction I had closing out my tab with my wife, and as a precaution, she recommended that we head back to the brewery to try to close out the tab again, just in case something was overlooked. I thought this was a good idea, but this time, asked my wife to try to close out my tab, as I didn't want to experience the wrath of the impatient staff member again. To absolutely nobody's surprise, the tab was not closed out! This staff member is by far, the rudest individual that I've encountered in the service industry and should reconsider their employment if they hate customer interactions this much. Truly appalled by my experience and won't be coming back anytime soon. If management wants to investigate the issue further, the tab was opened at the outside bar at 8/14/26 4:23 PM, check #35, and was transacted on by three separate staff members: 1) first person who opened the tab was friendly 2) second person who added on the second round of drinks was the same rude individual who didn't correctly close out my tab later in the evening, and 3) the third staff member was the one who finally properly closed out the tab with my wife at 7:11 PM.

Tl;dr - A true beer garden ala Texas/Midwest, with the food, beer, and relaxed summer vibes you all…read moredream of. There's something for the whole family aside from some truly tasty beers. I've been coming here for awhile, ever since one fine afternoon I was in town on business and was feeling a need for craft beer. I was once the world's predominant authority on craft beer in my own mind, but years of chugging ales have decimated my tolerance for it. Anywho, the first thing you'll notice about this spot is it's out there, pretty far off from downtown Alameda tucked away in an old military pier alongside some other more enterprising establishments. Lots of parking so there's that. Inside, they are definitely doing that thang, massive brewery stacks dominate the background but the space is massive so it supports an almost endless amount of tables, benches, and spots to hide out. Arcade machines, outdoor activities (even a kids sandbox) really add the "Adventureland" elements that make it more than just a standard brew joint. If you've had their beer, it's definitely on the expensive side, but they keep a healthy variety that I would say is all reliably refined and delicious. Its no 2000 era Bells or modern day Founders, but I particularly like their love hazy and the Mexican style lagers. My friends who like sours say they are also quite good. Although this place is really not directly affiliated with the business it's definitely a reason I go so I can't leave it out -- they have food trucks outside that handle most of the food there and the one they have there always has one of the best burgers I've ever had in the bay, hands down. It's a blackened blueberry and blue cheese burger and even though I don't like blue cheese, this unholy alliance is faaaaaaan-friggin-tastic. Must try. Service is casual, they do flights which is a great way to try things. Not sure about any happy hours, would love to see them get a mug/growler thing going here for discounts, they might have something already I'm just not aware of but nothing is obvious when I've gone. It's a great spot to kick it with some friends on a nice day or late afternoon, having a few beers and relaxing. California doesn't really do the beer garden thing like we do in the Midwest, you'll find spots like this all over Michigan so it's nice to see something of the same type here finally. I believe dogs are allowed too ala Texas vibes, but not 100% on that so I'd check ahead of time. Personally, I cannot stand seeing dogs at restaurants and bars so even if they do allow it, those aren't your kids, can we start reporting places that allow dogs without signage? If I brought a raccoon in on a leash would you be fine with that? It's a sanitation issue. Anyways, I digress, if you like beer, you like fun, and you like damn fine burgers, this is the best spot on the other side of the pond. 'nuff said.

Pretty new and hip modern day urban brewery in the gentrified part of West Oakland. I was told…read morethis brewery is only 2 years old. I've actually walked past this building before, back when Horn Bbq was next door, but not sure if they were able to open during the same time, as Horn had to move out a few years back. Very industrial vibe here, both outside and inside. For some reason most people were congregated indoors, and nobody was on their patio. The brewery equipment is visible but is blocked off. They do very little inside that warehouse-y space to decorate or give it their stamp. Totally just looks like a warehouse, whereas other breweries with a same type of industrial space like Drake's and Ghost Town have stamped their look and image. I tried a sampler here 4 brews and think they are about $2.50 per 5 oz glass, which is a generous gesture. Of the 4, I really liked 3 of them, and one was kinda weird to me. But good success ratio. I loved their Amber which had a great roasty malt character and hopped in a balanced manner. Tried 2 of their IPAs and one was a winner, that I got a pint of it to go with my pizza from next door. Awesome combo that I would love to revisit, Brix Factory's beer with June's Pizza. Seriously smacks!
