Okay. Might need to take a trip across the country back to Wheaton just to experience this meal again. We ate outside under the tent and loved the experience. Got the cauliflower and zucchini apps to share with 4 people and they were delicious! For dinner my husband and I shared the rocket man pizza and the pesto pasta. WOW. We were both very full and barely made it through. The pesto pasta was a little soupy but so delicious and full of flavor I didn't mind too much. So many good vegetarian options on the menu, big fan. This review is for our takeout experience on 8/14/24. We have dined in before and had a nice experience, so this review is for takeout only. I highly advise AGAINST getting any takeout from here. We ordered two pizzas, a salad and calamari. See attached photos of food quality- it was so disappointing. I believe we received maybe 8 total calamari pieces, which were all very low quality. The Quattro formaggio pizza was a sad excuse for any "specialty pizza" and contained about 1 dollop of tiny ricotta and pretty much just plain cheese elsewhere. The Bruno pizza was better of the two but pretty sure we were missing a topping as well. Food was also cold upon pickup. Very disappointed and will not be getting takeout again. read more

We live in Naperville and go to our local Gia Mia often, however they were booked solid last night and we decided to go to the Wheaton location. Big mistake. We had reservations and when we arrived the front staff were rude and gave us the table all the way in the back. We were outside the kitchen, by the service station and looking at a wall on a beautiful day! Our server was great and we asked him if he could ask for us to move somewhere else (there were plenty of tables open) and they refused. We should have left. The food and our server were good but the front staff were terrible and not accommodating. We won't be back at this location. *UPDATE: I was contacted almost immediately after writing this, and the manager was very apologetic and gave us a gift card to give the restaurant another chance. We will do this soon and review again. I appreciate the follow up. read more

Don't order takeout from this place. I ordered at 5pm and the food wasn't projected to be ready until 8:30. When I got there at 8:30, the food still was not ready and I proceeded to wait another 20 minutes for a single pizza. When I asked them why this took so long, they said they prioritize people dining in and take care of those orders first. If it takes that long, maybe they should just disable online ordering because there's no reason for something to take that long. The hostess was at the stand on her phone and not paying attention to orders coming out which delayed things longer as well. read more

Arrived around 6 PM on a Tuesday. It was a very nice venue, not real loud, and the decor was very cool. The server was prompt after seating and was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food was artisan, but moderately priced. The drinks were diverse and quite tasty. The food was of great quality, hot, and very delicious. Half off pizza Mondays are such a good deal. We paid $7-8 per pizza!! The pizzas are really good. I like the blackened edges of the crust - they definitely crisp them to the perfect point between too soft and too burnt. Burrata Pie: I thought this pizza was really good just because I like burrata. The pizza itself was pretty standard, so you'd really only order this if you want the burrata. Prosciutto + Arugula: Great combo of flavors. I liked this pizza, although the arugula does drop everywhere when you try to pick each slice up. My mom says she actually likes the vegetarian pizzas more. read more

The pizzas are great here, wood fired, and super tasty. I don't know why I haven't been here before. However, I'm glad I finally tired it. You can see the pizza being made to order. Their pizza dough, is semi thin, light, chewy, and there signatures pies don't need much to hit the spot less sauce and good ingredients. We had the pear and caramelized onion pizza, calamari fritto, and wild mushroom pizza. I would recommend these again. The cocktails were on point too. The prices were reasonable. A reservation is must have as this location gets busy and full on the weekends. There is parking garage right around the corner if need be. Awesome atmosphere, service and food. We had the meatball appetizer which is fantastic and the pizza.

We've lived in Wheaton for two years and had yet to stop in to have dinner. Last night on a whim we came by for dinner after work. Joe was our server and he seemed like he was going to be great. He took our drink orders and said he would be back shortly to get dinner to which 20 minutes passed before we ever saw him again. We tried to waive him down, but he was always attending to other tables. The food was extremely good, but the service was not good at all. The manager actually stopped by and both of our drinks were empty, and he asked if he could get us anything else, which we asked for a refresh on drinks. Probably won't be back to this location, but we will definitely try a different location. read more

They deserve all of their accolades. From 1/2 price pizza on Monday(barbecue chicken is my favorite but they are all good) to 1/2 price bottles of wine on Wednesday, I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT! When I sit down for a meal I always get the Tuscan Shrimp. My wife gets the meatballs and we are happy eating our shareables alone. I always order an extra order of bread to soak up the Tuscan shrimp sauce. It's delicious! Service is always good and if something's wrong, they make it right. Almost nothing has ever been wrong over going there since within a year of them opening. The large plates and pizza are also spot on. We love this place! read more

Cute little spot in the Wheaton area. My cousin and I ordered the paccheri vodka pasta and the margherita pizza. We told the waitress that we would be sharing both of these plates. When our food arrived, they had already split the pasta into two separate dishes since they knew we were sharing! How nice of them. The pasta sauce was AMAZING. I usually love vodka sauce on pasta and this was one of the best vodka sauces I've had. It does have a kick. Will definitely order this dish again! I was a little disappointed by the margherita pizza. Flavor was good, classic margherita. But, for a wood-fired pizza, I expected the crust to be crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Unfortunately, our pizza crust was very soggy towards the middle of the pizza. I'll probably ask them to cook the pizza for a few minutes extra to ensure that crispy crust. The pineapple crush cocktail was delicious! Very fruity and tropical. Overall, this restaurant was good. Outstanding Farm to Table restaurant where they make all their own pasta and have a pizza oven right inside the restaurant. During the summer months they close the street outside and have a tent for outdoor seating. Best chicken parmigiana I ever had! Prices were reasonable and service was excellent! read more

Last night was the second pick up in the last month that was disappointing. The food was once again room temperature. Came here on a whim yesterday while out and about in the Wheaton/glen Ellyn area. We were quickly seated and shown the QR code menu on the table. We ordered the blackberry mojito which was super minty and fresh and the Paloma which was also very good. Neither seemed to be syrupy or not freshly made. For our meal we ordered the fig and prosciutto bruschetta and the Hammakers pie. The bruschetta was missing a little bit of salt but overall we thought it was tasty. Love the soft cheese with the sweetness of the fig, just wish the prosciutto was a little saltier. As for the wood fire pizza- it's was very impressive. We both loved the crust and felt that the toppings were very flavorful and fresh especially the sausage. They don't go crazy on the sauce and the cheese and they don't need to at all. Lunch 10/16 was disappointing. Margarita pizza tasted different (learned later pizza oven was down) and had only 6 tiny pieces of basil on the whole pizza. Basically one per slice. GIA MIA is a superb Italian spot in downtown Wheaton where everything is top notch, from the food to the service to the prices, and to where you'll be returning time and time again. We stopped by for an early dinner on a hot summer day and were able to secure a table with plenty of shade. After surveying the menu we started with a round of drinks and a few apps. The PROSCIUTTO + FIG BRUSCHETTA was very tasty (although I think I prefer a more "standard/traditional" bruschetta) and the ZUCCHINI FRIES were outstanding! The sauce... wow! For our meals we had PACCHERI VODKA (with extra spice - it was hot and delicious!) and the SHRIMP fra DIAVOLO... the shrimp was amazing. Every bite was bursting with flavor and there was so much shrimp! Incredible. No dessert on this trip as we were stuffed to the brim. I think I've found a new go-to Italian spot around here because I cannot wait to return for another meal. read more
