Di Farina - A True Hidden Gem!…read more Visited Di Farina for a company dinner tonight, and I am so glad I did! This is one of those hidden gems you almost don't want to share, just so there's always a table waiting for you. We started with a spread of appetizers: grilled octopus, garlic shrimp, fried burrata with arugula, and perfectly layered potatoes topped with braised short rib and fonduta. Every single dish was incredible--I honestly can't pick a favorite, though the short ribs stole my heart. For mains, I had the osso buco with pappardelle (their pastas are all freshly made in-house, and you can taste the difference). Our table also enjoyed the branzino, which was deboned tableside, the massive squid ink seafood linguini (so loaded with seafood you could barely see the pasta), and a rich, creamy carbonara that was perfectly balanced. Desserts were the perfect finale: tiramisu, cheesecake, and a refreshing lemon sorbetto, each as good as the last. The service was flawless, and the entire staff is Italian, adding to the authentic charm of the experience. Di Farina has officially become my new go-to spot for Italian nights. 10/10 on food, service, and atmosphere--can't wait to return!

You park in the back and enter along the bar. The intimate seating area faces the street. On this night I was late in joining some of my friends so I ordered simply, spaghetti carbonara which is always my Italian "go to". Combined with a lovely Cabernet, my dinner was like eating in a small trattoria in Italy. I like that they give you a choice of handmade pasta and toppings to choose from. We also got some complimentary cannolis which made me smile. Oh, and if you want some pasta to take home? Go to their attached shop and pick it up. Your restaurant receipt will give you 10% off if you use it within 7 days. Di Farina is that place that you need to add to your regular rotation of restaurants. It's just that unique of a place!

We had an eggplant appetizer that could have served as my main! Three thick eggplant pieces, fried with mozzarella and tomato. SO GOOD! We also got some of the must go-to; fried calamari. Big pieces, no filler, golden delicious!! I had linguine with white clam sauce and it was fantastic. Nice size clams pasta was perfect. We also had the lobster stuffed ravioli. My niece couldn't finish it so I was happy to oblige. It was also very tasty. HIGHLY recommend this spot! Great atmosphere, EXCELLENT FOOD!

It looks great and I thought it looked better and different somehow from what I saw online. We got there early so they were not busy. Derek was our server and he was very polite and came around just the amount of times we needed him. I think he is an awesome server. The bread was served warm with some olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I liked that combination. Our entrees came out pretty fast. Maybe 12 to 15 minutes after we ordered. This makes me think the food is not freshly made. I would be happier waiting for my food. I ordered the penne alla gigi. The portion was huge!!! The flavor tasted really off. I absolutely love Italian food and am usually pretty forgiving if the food is not "amazing" The sauce was not good on this dish. I have never tasted anything like it.. The pancetta did not have much flavor. I sampled the chicken parmigiana and the spaghetti. The chicken parmesan was pretty good. It was cheesy. The sauce for the spaghetti was mediocre. I forgot to mention both dishes came out really hot which was appreciated. I ordered the limoncello cake and this was phenomenal. I thought it looked too yellow when it was placed in front of me. The taste was so delicious. It was not overly sweet, just perfect. I loved the whipped cream. My friend ordered the Ice Cream Sunday which is vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup. I sampled this too and it was ok, nothing special. Without the excellent service, views and just beauty of the restaurant this would have been 2 stars. My visit ended on the right note with the limoncello cake. In reality, I just wanted a delicious meal. I did not receive that and I did leave mostly disappointed. :(

I've been here several times over the years, but this was my dad's first visit, and it did not disappoint. We started with the bison tartare, scallops with sweet potato purée, and the meat and cheese board. Every appetizer was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The scallops were perfectly cooked, and the charcuterie selection was excellent. For entrées, we shared the wild boar ragù, pumpkin ravioli with sausage, and the ossobuco. Each dish showcased the restaurant's attention to detail and commitment to quality ingredients. The wild boar ragù was rich and comforting, the pumpkin ravioli struck a great balance of sweet and savory, and the osso buco was tender and flavorful. Our waiter was fantastic, offering thoughtful wine pairing suggestions that complemented the meal perfectly. I make a point to come back at least once a year, and every visit reminds me why. Consistently phenomenal food, service, and atmosphere. Highly recommended.
