EVERYTIME you go there things that are on sale don't give discount. I work in same mall...I go there lots...and I have to pay and then go to customer service for refund. Today it was 2 for $6 ice cream that rung up at reg price of 3.89 each. DO BETTER! Until then I'll go to Walmart and avoid the frustration. read more

Cashier did not scan my store card correctly, so all my cupons and sales were not applied. Went to customer service where a very grumpy person attempted to help me. After numerous manual tries ( her statement was that re-scanning would have taken too much time) a refund was given to me. I'm not 100%sure yet the refund is correct but was tired to waste my time. When at leavig I said "thanks for your help and have a nice day" the answer was a very discourteous "right". Well, no more Giant supermarket for me. This is not the first time I encoutered discourteous associates. Other stores nearby with more choices and nicer employees, especially the locally owned ones. read more

If I could give this Giant location a negative 10 I would. I try so hard to steer clear of this location even though it is the closest to me. Why? Because it is the WORST in every way. Poor inventory, poor customer service, poorly laid out, pathetic parking lot, poor quality produce, never enough help, and even the self checkout is a mess. For Easter I ordered two catering trays. At pickup they cannot find my order. They are sure they made it, but cannot locate it anywhere. This in turn makes me late for my family gathering and I am now showing up with no food, just a refund. Stay away from this store. Don't support it. Don't risk your mood. They are truly the worst of the worst. Giant Food should be ashamed to have this poorly run store linked to their company name. read more

I went to buy iceberg lettuce. Another boy and I stood there dumbfounded. He was sent in to buy iceberg lettuce. There were six left that weighed less than a feather and he was like is this they all have left??? Terrible. Ugh. Also, limited stock of chicken and high priced maybe one overpriced sale this is a terrible Giant store. It is a small giant no meat sales or selection. I would not go here again. Oh I wanted fish oil it was buy one get one free there was only one bottle on the shelf. read more

Prices aren't great but they're well stocked and the help is very friendly. I will return again and again.

One of the few good things about this store is that you could order deli items on their electronic touch screen and have the order set while you shop. It's a real convenience. But the system hasn't worked now for over a month. Asked the folks working the counter - its some sort of company wide problem. Maybe they can assign that stupid robot that wanders around the store and gets in your way to fix it. read more

Because of its proximity to my home, I have used the Giant in Harleysville as my "go to" for things I need to pick up quickly . It is not my preferred grocery store, and after today, will not be where I go to quickly pick up a few items. I have never been crazy about the store layout, it is difficult to find items. Prices are similar to other local market, so no major savings as an incentive to shop. The robot that patrols the store is annoying. It seems to get confused by handicapped customers using the electric shopping carts and stops in front of them. I could live with these things, but my experience at checkout today iced the cake. As I entered the queue at register 12, I noticed that the conveyor belt was covered with dirt. I questioned the cashier about this and his response was "I don't know what that is". He shrugged and preceded to scan my items without cleaning the belt first. Made me wonder whether he had cleaned and sanitized his station between customers. As I prepared to pay, I realized that the credit card pin pad was located behind the plexiglass barrier between the customer and cashier. I attempted to move it into a position where I could reach it from my seated position on the electric shopping cart. This could not be done. I had to stand up in order to check out. At no time did the cashier offer to help, or at least acknowledge the fact that I was handicapped and having difficulty. The cashier was totally oblivious, or worse, did not care. I am done with Giant. Will go to Henning's for quick trips, while Wegman's remains my grocery of choice. read more

This is a decent Giant and I have stopped by many times for years. I am not a huge fan of the layout of the store and the parking lot too much, but they have everything I need at great prices and the associates are all great and friendly too. Although she is not there anymore, one of the Bakery associates Morgan was very helpful and chill too. Same with another employee named Kyle, he had personality and was cook but also is not there anymore. Bonnie at the customer service is very friendly and helpful too! All in all it is a decent Giant and I will stop back in the future. read more

Do not go to the store early in the morning. The employees are stocking shelves as you shop and you can barely pass their equipment. You cannot get fresh fish from the fish counter until around 10 AM. Many items are not available. The bakery should be stocked at breakfast time. There are at least 4 employees behind the bakery counter and none are assisting customers. When there are no tea biscuits, I get various excuses. There is no consistency on product availability. They give the customer what they have and not what the customer wants. Only Organic blueberries at over $8, no strawberries, hardly any bananas, no distilled water, limited Greek yogurt selection. I understand Covid but I also understand inflation. You would think that workers would be enthusiastic about working there. Either management is terrible or they have the wrong employees. If you want to get everything in one store, forget this store. read more

I am not a huge fan of Giant, their meats don't seem as fresh as other nearby grocery stores. I live less than a mile away so I do pop in every now and again for fruits, bread and other basics. The staff is always helpful and the store is clean. read more

Normally giant in Harleysville is great. Close proximity to my house and is a clean store. However today I had a very disturbing experience. Used kiosk machine to get lunch meat. only a pound and a half of items. There is an elderly woman behind the counter slicing the items and speaking to a tall man when I left. 25 minutes later I came back before my order was called hoping that it was almost done. The tall man was still standing there speaking to the woman behind the counter who was still working on my order. He was the only one at the counter when I left and the only one still there when I came back. He was leaning across the lunchmeat counter with his elbows on top of the counter, speaking to the woman over top of the scale which had my meat on it. I find this very concerning especially during Covid. She should've asked him to stand back away from the counter and certainly not lay across the top of it with his arms. Very unsanitary!!!! read more

This store is the worst in appreciating associates on the front end. I previously worked there and some are overlooked for Associate of the Month and Year. My personal experience is that one person deserves it the most for Associate of the Year would be JP! She works hard, fills in a lot of shifts when associates call out or no show, and is not appreciated for all her hard work. She has been overlooked for a long time and deserves this more than anyone else. The most annoying associate is AJ who has gotten Associate of the Year for only being there less than 6 months and was Associate of the Month twice, and now just found out that he is Associate of the Year again which is bull. Something wrong with this picture. I am also a mystery shopper so I talk to cashier, etc and all feel that JP should be Associate of the Year, just saying..... Worst store ever!! read more

This store is a good but not great. There are some great people that do work here. Stocking levels are good. Produce quality is a C+. Bagged salad are bad most of the time. Employees have to stop blocking areas they stock in the produce section. Produce needs attention or better management. Cashiers are usually very good and friendly. Dairy department is well stocked. read more

Oh my gosh, where do I even start and how much room do you get here? This store is the pits! From the rotten fruits and veggies, to outdated yogurt, dirty floors and bathrooms, carts all over the parking lot, meat with damaged wrapping and blood leaking out all over the place. This store just can't seem to get anything right. I shop there almost weekly and every trip I come home with something damaged, out of date or rotten. The kids bagging the groceries could care less if they put your bananas in the bottom of the bag and your juice boxes on top of them - they're too busy chatting with their friend in the next check out line. And good luck getting the attention of someone behind the deli counter to slice some lunch meat for you. Bottom line, I wouldn't set foot in this store if it wasn't so close to my house and way cheaper than the other stores nearby. But since it I don't want to spend an extra $50 on groceries every week, i still trudge back in there and wistfully remember the days when it used to be a Clemens supermarket with clean floors, fresh produce, attentive employees........ read more

Prices are competitive, but good luck finding choice cuts of meat or quality produce on busy days. It seems that the store's clerks stock stuff in the morning and never restock during the day. The clerks in the aisles or at the meat counter usually avoid you if you look like you need help finding something. The checkout employees are nice, though, so I won't give the place 1 star. Try Hennings or Landis for better quality perishables and fully stocked grocery shelves. read more

Remodel added space to much desired organic and gluten free section. The Produce department is much bigger and better organized. The store is not as cut up as it used to be and aisles flow. The floral department is grab n go and set up nicely. read more

I generally love Giant stores. I always shop Giant and have for years, BUT THIS GIANT absolutely stinks! Half the time, when I pick up a product, it is past the expiration date. I have complained over and over again to the manager but nothing changes. Just last week, I bought a one-pound tub of Nature's Promise Organic Spinach. It was full price and three days away from expiration. I took it home and tried to use it before it expired. As soon as I opened the tub, I could smell a not-so-nice smell and under the top leaves, there were many rotten leaves. I spent one hour soaking the leaves and picking out the good ones. I had to throw out 2/3 of all those leaves and was forced to spend one hour doing it when I did not have the time. Now, if I had had the choice of buying it on sale, that would have been somewhat acceptable but this was outrageous! In addition, frequently when I buy the organic loaf bread, it is close to stale and that is not acceptable! read more
