Another great produce spot! Can't go wrong at these places. Prices are reasonable and you get a pretty good amount too. It's always pretty busy when I go and can be hard to get a cart. What a terrific place! Produce Junction is a fun place to shop for fresh produce and flowers. The store is bright and sunny, and well-stocked with a wide variety of fruit, veggies, fresh herbs, and more. The price is right, too! The employees were very friendly and approachable. I came in here looking for dried guajillo chile peppers (for making birria tacos with consommé). The employees here eagerly showed me their excellent selection of dried chiles. Thanks! One bummer, though: I was about to nab some Lacinato kale (also known as Tuscan kale), my favorite addition to any Italian dish. Unfortunately, all of their Tuscan kale was wilted and slimy. (The other varieties of kale looked fine, though). But hey, things happen! Hopefully next time they'll have some fresher Tuscan kale. Otherwise, all their produce looked great! After spending 15 minutes having a pleasant shopping experience, I experienced exactly what I expect from a place of business in Hatboro as a black man. While I waited in line behind a woman, I noticed that the line was forming along the isle not where I was. I asked the woman who was in front of that line if I was next or was she next because I wasn't sure if I got in front of her. She said "oh no you were here first." I knew that but I just wanted to make sure she knew. So once it was my turn, the cashier looks at the woman not me - and smiles and goes "mam is this okay?" Talking about me... first of all.. what the hell? What kind of establishment is this? Why not ask me? Why look past me and act like I'm not standing in front of you? I know my black skin might indicate to you that I don't have manners but I promise you, you would be hugely mistaken because my parents didn't raise an ignorant person like this cashiers parents did. Always a great place to get produce and also FLOWERS. The fruit and vegetables are always tasty. There are lines when you order the food but the lines goes fast and its totally worth it. Sometimes there isn't a enough carts but that is because it really busy and the quality of food is great here. I come here about every 2-3 weeks, because the food last long. You also cant beat the price because you get so much for your money. There is a produce junction close to my home but I drive to this one because the people are nicer and I like how everything is laid out in the store. read more

The food appears 1/2 rotten accompanied with the rotten smell upon entering. Plants are thirsty, wilted, and, pitiful looking. Service seems very chaotic and disorganized. No thanks. read more

Delivers on exactly what it promises. Delicious bulk produce at fantastic prices. It has its drawbacks, you don't know what will be in stock, no one can really help you, produce comes in preset amounts so you can't customize. But it's still cheaper to get 2 pounds of ginger (just for example) at pro jo than one tiny little nub at the supermarket even if I have more left over than I know what to do with. Usually the person at the counter can offer at least some advice on what to do with more unusual items as long as it's not too busy. They also have great flowers, but again you might show up and they are all out, no way to know. The one on Easton rd. in glenside is bigger and has more stuff but over all great. read more

A regular stop on our errand circuit and a godsend during the winter months. The positives are the generally good prices, the regular appearance of high end items (such as black garlic, purple asparagus, figs and heirloom tomatoes), the sizable array of chilis and peppers and the lovely, fresh flowers. A concrete example of PJ's great pricing: Three bunches of cilantro for $2 versus one bunch for $1.99 at Tanner's. The downsides are the divided fruit and vegetable counters forcing a shopper to stand in multiple lines, the uneven produce quality (some items appear to be seconds) and unreliable inventory (can't rely on any particular item being in stock) and the cash-only sale terms. I also don't love the fact that you can't select your own fruit and veggies (pre-bagged) and the absence of scales so you can check the weight of items. read more

Plants and other merchandise are great. Low stars for the customer service. Was standing in line to check out with my hanging baskets (with no one behind me) they were ready for me at the register and several employees began screaming for us to come up and be checked out. I heard the first time and was trying to gather the baskets I had. Didn't need the additional 2 employees to also scream several more times at me like I'm a child. read more

Normally a fine experience, but today the woman handling "flowers only " was awful. She threw around all of my products and miscalculated the total. She had the worst customer service approach I have ever witnessed. I asked her to stop throwing my flowers and she just continued. I told her the total was off and she blew me off. I'm updating my review after a visit there this morning. Everything was fully stocked and employees were pleasant despite it being 8:30 on a Sunday morning. I went in for tomatoes and avocados. I snagged a 3lb bag of huge red tomatoes for $2.00 and 2 avocados for $1.50! The avocados were ripe enough where I could enjoy them with my eggs today! Usually you can only find hard avocados and you have to wait forever for them to soften up. They had a nice selection. I think the key is getting there fairly early to get prime selection and avoid crazy crowds. And its worth it to get there early, especially when prices are great here!!! read more

Had a horrible experience here this week. I come here once in a while for the good prices but the service is TERRIBLE. First, automatic doors would be nice for when you have a baby in a stroller so the doors don't slam in your face. Second, small baskets are not provided so you get to push around the stroller while also pulling/ pushing an awkward metal cart. Third, it would be nice if the staff working here would say hi, smile, or just generally act like they don't hate their jobs. Not rushing you to say what you want a the counter would be nice, too. "What Else? What else" - no need to yell please. Not sure if its worth the cheap produce prices to leave with such a bad taste in my mouth. read more

Love this place-- but you have to know what you're looking for and have a list; it can be overwhelming walking in with so many choices of veggies and fruits but it's great and very reasonably priced. Great flowers and small potted plants for home and garden, seasonable and a great place to go after the flower show is done as they get the stuff that doesn't sell-- great for garden plants veggie plants and potted plants. This review is on there spring and summer plants only. I bought two hanging baskets from them and they have already gone to seed. The 2 for $25 baskets. I checked the other plants I bought and they are seeding also. I began to pinch back the seeds but I'm not getting any new blooms. It's not even the end of June yet. This is not the first time this has happened with their plants. I guess I should have learned my lesson. I've learned it this time, I won't be getting any more summer plants or baskets from them. read more

I love the prices here but the service is terrible. I've never had such consistently rude service each time I go somewhere. There are two counters with two separate lines, one for vegetables and one for fruits so you have to stand in line twice. Not so bad... As soon as you step up to the counter you are expected to know what you want and be able to spout it out quickly. I always forget something because you can't see everything available until you get to the counter. If you take too long to decide you can count on someone rolling their eyes at you and sometimes just moving on to the next person! No one smiles and I've never been thanked. They just tell me how much and take my money and say "next!". read more

The staff is helpful particularity the manager Mike helped us buy a variety of fresh roses for my daughter's high school graduation. He is very professional and customer oriented. Went down to the shopping district on York Rd. in Hatboro, planned on hitting a few stores. Parked in the lot which is for ALL of the stores on York. Rd. I was approached by employees from Produce Junction who told me unless I was only going into their store i wasn't allowed to park there. I told them I planned on going to multiple stores, they asked me which stores,I told them it wasn't any of their business where I was going. They told one of the workers to keep an eye on me and if I went to the bar or the thrift store that was nearby to have my car towed. I was told by another shopper who was nearby that they harass customers all the time about where they park, I went to the hardware store grabbed some Chinese food and left. I will never go back down to Hatboro to shop, don't need the hassle of potentially getting my car towed. read more

My first experience here, they only accept cash. There are 2 separate lines and 2 separate counters for fruits and vegetables, causing you to stand in 2 long lines and pay twice. I immediately had to trash a few peppers from the 2 bags that I bought because they were bad. I definitely should have inspected the bags before purchasing them. Lots of parking spaces. This is the best place to buy produce, flowers, garden plants and seasonal decorations hands down! I have even purchased holiday cemetery blankets here that put those I have spent over $100 on to shame! Denny runs a great place and always has a well run operation. The staff is always very helpful and willing to do anything...even put a Christmas Tree on your car! The new renovation has really opened up the place and made it more inviting. Let me tell everyone their scam at the veggie counter (I don't buy much fruit). I've had so many encounters with Indians trying to rip me off every where I go. I don't go there anymore because of it. Last holiday season I went to get vegetables and I had only gotten a few under $8.00 worth and I gave this girl a $20.00 bill. If you ever noticed they when you walk up to the counter they are staring at your money in hand. Anyway I had just taken money out of bank and knew I only had twenties. I gave her a twenty and she tried ripping me off. So I stood there waiting for the rest of my change and she says "You only gave me a ten" OK now I'm boiling and she lifts up the money box and there's only one twenty and she says to the other girl " how many twenties did you have?" SHE goes one. I looked at this girl and said you know I gave you a twenty. I was going to call police. Then she decided'oh I better not mess with this one' and gave me the rest of my money. So I wanted to find out what kind of game they were playing so I went back a month later gave a twenty and watched very closely nonchalantly- then I saw it - she dropped the twenty underneath the counter and I get it now - they have a garbage can under counter they put twenties into trying to rip people off. Yes!!!! That's why they only keep one or two twenties in the money box. If it was a safety measure they wouldn't keep any in the till. Then I went there later and I am smarter now- only exact change and now a different Indian tried ripping me off $3.00 and I said no that isn't right my total. She didn't even RE-add it dumb girl- she immediately said "oh you're right" Plus half stuff rotten in two days. Needless to say I don't go there anymore. Pay attention to adding up your vegetables and pay attention to where they put your money. That's why they make you feel rushed because they don't want you to pay attention.
