Without an appointment and my need to drive home to the Central Coast, Jeremy, the Service Manager, got my RV right in. His team fixed it up and ready for the road within 1.5 hours. I was not only pleasantly surprised, but incredibly satisfied with how they got the job done- both in terms of timeliness and quality. I am writing to formally bring to your attention a recent experience I had at Giant RV regarding my extended warranty refund. I visited your location to follow up on a refund of approximately $2,000 for an extended warranty I had paid in full after selling my trailer. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Daniel Carreon, who asked if I had an appointment. I explained that I did not, and he informed me I would need to wait about 30 minutes for the financial advisor. I understood and spent some time browsing the store. After waiting the 30 minutes, I approached Daniel again to ask for an update on how much longer it might be. Instead of checking with the advisor or offering to schedule me for another time, Daniel simply repeated that, since I did not have an appointment, I would "have to wait longer." When I expressed that I was willing to wait, he became visibly frustrated. To my surprise, he then threatened to call the police on me and asked me to leave the store -- despite the fact that I had only politely asked for an estimate of wait time. This interaction left me feeling disrespected and unwelcome as a paying customer. I believe situations like this could be handled in a far more professional and courteous manner. I am bringing this to your attention not only because of the difficulty I had resolving my refund, but also because I feel no customer should be treated in this way when visiting your business. So you buy a brand new over 150k RV with a $7k extended warranty and 2 months later have a water leak and your given the run around by this dealer and told that you have to wait weeks before they can service your Rv. You call the extended warranty company and that does not kick in until after the 1 year manufacturer's period. What an eye opening experience. If you are Latino, beware. Husband and I walked in to view some RVs. After spending time looking at a few with a sales guy, we were interested in talking numbers on one particular one, although we weren't ready to apply because we are still looking at what we want, the guy that was sent over to talk to us clearly did not want to give us the time of day. Appeared bothered right off the bat. Stated basically if we wanted to talk, we had to apply and run our credit. His body language, his demeanor, his tone was so off and disengaged from us, from the minute he was introduced to us he seemed as if he was forced to have to deal with us. It was quite obvious he was possibly biased, racial profiling us perhaps? Due to how uncomfortable we were made to feel, we chose to get up and leave. We were not there to waste anybody's time, but they acted like we were basically. As we were walking away with our 2 children, I happened to look back and I caught that same man making a gesture with his hand like shooing us away to the sales guy that was with us at the beginning. That confirmed to me what I was already speculating. We left completely feeling discriminated against. It's evident to the eye (at-least during the day of our visit- Downey location) that majority, if not all of the staff is white, which then could possibly create a culture of racial profiling or maybe just selective, maybe judging us by our appearance? I don't know , and I hate to go there with the race card becuase that's just playing victim, BUT how we felt was valid based on their actions towards us during our short interaction. Word of advice, Do not judge a book by its cover, we will take our business elsewhere where we are respected as consumers. Our experience to say the least was unacceptable and appalling. Their customer service (atleast for us) was not what we expected at all......... You guys are in a heavily Latino populated community for crying out loud. Do better! And please don't bother responding to this review- based on your previous responses to other low star reviews left, all you will do is defend your employees actions and say we are just changing a narrative . We were here interested in purchasing an RV and this guy was following us the whole time and said the policy is to follow us etc. which is fine, scars not fine is he wouldn't stop asking questions and trying to get us to purchase right away! We felt so uncomfortable that we left! We couldn't even talk to one another about which RV is nice because this guy is pressuring us and asking personal questions that's frankly none of his business! I would not recommend purchasing a trailer from Downey Giant RV or use their service, they dont stand behind their products (trailers and warranties) nor services. In early January 2023 I purchased a Freedom Express 274RKS. The delivery was delayed and finally fulfilled on March 9, 2023. The trailer was used 6 to 8 times over the last year and a half. I also purchased the additional warranty and protection plan for $3,616 with Secure Shield Trailer through Giant RV. the trailer was taken to Giant RV on 11/15/24 for repairs of items that were present at time of delivery (which I wasn't aware of) and many small items that developed shortly after we started using the trailer. When I dropped off the trailer for repairs, I was met with resistance that warranty would cover them. However I was assured that I would be contacted PRIOR to any repair work. I was just notified that the trailer is ready and provided an invoice, indicating work was perfomed without verbal consultation to proceed and warranty was denied. This includes improper slide adjustment, resulting in damage to flooring, failing door hinges, peeling photo finish on faux wood surfaces, leaking water line to toilet and other items. While happy with the design and layout of the trailer, I am disappointed in the quality of the Freedom Express product. Most importantly, I'm learned that GiantRV is only there for until the sale has been made. read more

After purchasing a 2020 travel trailer, within a few days some things needed to be fixed. Namely a leaking toilet and backup camera not working properly. Gilbert Nieves in the Service dept was our point of contact and we really appreciate his hard work and helpfulness in getting our issues resolved. He was very patient when we were anxious about the timeline for repairs as it's our only 'home' at the moment. Justin who was our salesperson was also superb! I told him that I wanted to look at what they have since ive never been there and he started arguing with me telling me that I should tell him exactly what I want since they don't do tours where they allow customers to see what they have. I asked him "so I'm not allowed to look at their products to decide what I want?" he said yes. so I'm not sure what the issue was since I told him I wanted to look at them. he should not have argued with me and continued to argue with me and he kept making negative side comments about my conversation I was having with my friends about what we liked and disliked. my friends and I just left and will take our business else where. Go somewhere else!! We just purchased a 2026 Four Winds 19Z Motorhome. They are all smiles before you buy but after the purchase their customer service goes down the drain. I drove away and two days later took my family on a camping trip to Yosemite. They had promised they would fill up my propane tank at a near local shop while I signed and did all the paperwork (their propane machine was under repair). The check engine light came on on my way to Yosemite and on the first morning on my campsite I discovered I had no propane to run things. Not sure why they would tell me that they were going to fill it up and not do so. It is customary to fill up both your fuel and propane tanks. I guess when you are spending over $80,000 it's the least they can do. I was more upset at the fact that they didn't tell me that they decided to be lazy and not go fill it up than the fact that they just plainly lied to us. I was able to fill up the with propane in Yosemite. We have been back now for a week and I have been calling and calling to try to get some direction as to where to take the RV and get the check engine light examined and also get some type of resolution to the propane incident. We called and texted our salesperson, Angela, several times but no response. I finally did get a hold of her and she said she would help. A few days later I had to call her again and she tried brushing me off by saying that she wasn't service. I then reminded her that she had said that she would look in to it and help us out. She agreed a second time to do so. I received a call today from some one other than her and that gave me a number to the mechanic they send their clients to. I asked the young lady if she had any information regarding the propane issue and she had none. So I sent a text to Angela with a copy of the receipt of propane I had to purchase in Yosemite to which she responded that "Giant Rv had filled up my tank 1/2 full". I really cant believe this is their response. 1/2 tank full? Why would they only fill it up 1/2 way??? Are they that stingy? I provided them with a copy of the receipt for $49.04 . read more

Updated review going on 3 years since I bought my trailer and Giant RV told me not to come back because of my yelp review. I finally paid a license RV tech who specializes on RV plumbing and vinyl reinforced lines. The lines were fine but the swivel connectors on the hot and cold lines were faulty. You would only know this if you actually had water running through the lines. Apparently, Giant didn't do that. The line was actually clamped solid and couldn't even turn so the only way to connect it to the hook up would be to twist the whole line and that would obviously back out in time and leak. The hot water the seal was faulty, and the swivel connector was cracked again. You would only know that if you ran water through the hoses and waited to see it leak. My vanity now has permanent water damage. It's going to have to be replaced. I could only imagine what is below the vanity for the water that Giant RV told me takes a very long time to create any damage or mold. They don't want my business that is OK because they are incompetent in my books. They forgot about service after the sale and I will never deal with them again. read more

Bought a lemon from Giant RV! This video speaks for itself. I'm utterly disgusted at the whole experience. I've only had the RV 3 weeks and there was a gradual stench coming from the kitchen. After searching we realized it was from behind a kitchen drawer. When we removed the drawer we discovered the wall between between our kitchen and bathroom had been carved out and broken by someone. We also noticed a cut pipe. Looked like a vent. The odor is horrendous and it smells like it's coming from this vent. The trailer is supposed to be new but it looks like someone else desperately ripped through the wall looking for the same thing I was looking for, a bad odor.But who else would know to look, unless someone else had also lived in the trailer and experienced the same smell? Possible? Maybe? I can't imagine why else that wall is broken. Then it occurred to me, the fridge door was scratched and we just replaced it, who scratched it? And the frames around the slides are coming apart. We are going to Giant RV tomorrow to return the fridge door and make an appointment with the service department, something I never expected to be doing after only 3 weeks in a supposedly new trailer that cost upwards 128k. This better get resolved or I'm gonna have to start doing my lemon law research homework regardless of an arbitration agreement. Oh no, not me. Ps. We do use the tablets for the septic tanks and have started emptying them everyday to no avail. Nothing gets rid of the odor and now you could smell it from crevices on the side of the bedframe by the floor. I'm afraid something is leaking and broken underneath where you just can't see. read more
