Bought a lemon from Giant RV! This video speaks for itself. I'm utterly disgusted at the whole experience. I've only had the RV 3 weeks and there was a gradual stench coming from the kitchen. After searching we realized it was from behind a kitchen drawer. When we removed the drawer we discovered the wall between between our kitchen and bathroom had been carved out and broken by someone. We also noticed a cut pipe. Looked like a vent. The odor is horrendous and it smells like it's coming from this vent. The trailer is supposed to be new but it looks like someone else desperately ripped through the wall looking for the same thing I was looking for, a bad odor.But who else would know to look, unless someone else had also lived in the trailer and experienced the same smell? Possible? Maybe? I can't imagine why else that wall is broken. Then it occurred to me, the fridge door was scratched and we just replaced it, who scratched it? And the frames around the slides are coming apart. We are going to Giant RV tomorrow to return the fridge door and make an appointment with the service department, something I never expected to be doing after only 3 weeks in a supposedly new trailer that cost upwards 128k. This better get resolved or I'm gonna have to start doing my lemon law research homework regardless of an arbitration agreement. Oh no, not me. Ps. We do use the tablets for the septic tanks and have started emptying them everyday to no avail. Nothing gets rid of the odor and now you could smell it from crevices on the side of the bedframe by the floor. So the couch in my Winnebago broke. I called to set up an appointment to have it looked at and get a quote. A message was sent to the service representative and was told they would call after lunch. I got a call at 3pm. The advisor told I needed to order the parts first, if they even make them anymore. And if the do, they might be able to fix it. His demeanor was poor and unacceptable. I explained I just needed a quote to see if it could be repaired. He explains that "they" may not make those parts anymore and I would probably just need to buy a new couch. I told him Winnebago does make replacement parts for all rvs they manufacture. In a condescending manner he tells "ok bring it up in and we will look at it but for a diagnosis fee". It seemed to me he didn't want to deal with my problem. I tried giant rv in Downey in the past and was treated rudely. I thought I would give them a second chance. Boy was I wrong! My husband and I purchased a 5th wheel last summer, knowing we'd be temporarily living in it with our 3 children, while we figured out our housing situation after a bad roofing job that led to lots of water damage and mold to our home. The purchase and sales portion of our 5th wheel went smoothly! Unfortunately, like most trailers and 5th wheels, the manufacturers whip them out so quickly that attention to detail: minor and major can sometimes be more than an issue. We started noticing our 5th wheel needed attention very shortly after purchase and had to make other living situation plans once again, as we weren't entirely certain how long repairs and parts could take. Which was a bummer; However, here's who will always bring us back to Giant Rv as thankful and grateful customers! - Gilbert (Gill) Nieves! This wonderful human stayed in contact with us during the entire time our 5th wheel was at Giant RV. He knew our situation and did more than just use passive words to make it seem he cared like most people will, instead he actually cared! We knew he was sticking to what he would tell us and was doing his best to get the 5th wheel back to us! He made it happen, would inform us of what's been done, and even offered to keep in touch between parts coming in if we needed it back between projects that needed to be fixed. He's professional, kind, and knowledgeable and will go out of his way to make sure you're happy! We felt respected and appreciated that he's so down to earth! We knew on our part that patience was needed and that changing our mindset would help the situation. He makes this easy! NO WAY! On this review we are only discussing Giant RV - Downey and their customer service. So, when we were looking at RVs they were very nice, helpful and responsive to any emails or text messages. But, once we bought an RV and had to go down with our trade and move items from our current rv at the time to the new one well there was a huge issue and then. The issue was the manager literally rushing us to move items quicker, being very impatient, and most time very rude to us during our process. And, we were moving as fast as we could even with four kitties with us. Once we drove the rv off the lot and got home to our area we had more questions as to their process and various other things regarding this new rv of which we are now four months out owning and the customer service there at Giant RV - Downey was and still is to this day the absolute worst!! They are not responsive and literally make you feel like they only are nice to you for your purchase and then after that they do not want anything to do with you. And that my reviewers is the absolute brutal truth. Would I recommend, well we purchased a very nice rv from them and are happy with it even though there are issues with it. But, if you're talking friendliness and customer service then no, no way! Had I read a review like this before we went there I never would have gone because customer service is huge for me and this is something they lack. It's kind of like the saying that some people are nice to your face and then will be rude and stab you in the back. Yep, that's it - I said it. Unfortunately finding a trailer that suit your needs is difficult to accomplish. But settling to buy something from Giant RV is a decision I regret. I've had issues with this dealership from day one. I purchased a trailer with a window seal leak that was ignored by dealership until it was purchased by a customer. I've had them try to fix the same problem twice. Unless you like taking Ubers back and forth wasting endless time "waiting for parts or mechanics calling in sick, your next up in line" then weeks later after thousands in repairs and "new hubs and brakes" I drove half a block only to hear the deafening sound of my squeaky breaks at every stop sign or light. They replaced a leveling jack totally rebuilt it, thanksgiving weekend or one of the big desert weekends again pickup my 3 year old Diesel pusher family in tow, BEEP-BEEP-BEEEP BEEEEP BEEEEEEP!!!! Non stop WARNING LEVEL JACKS ARE DOWN!!!!! For 5 god forsaken hours after being told the mechanics took for a test drive. Total lie!! Lying to client is something the service managers have perfected I guess and maybe trained to do? Why tell me my rig is ready only to UBER for $75-100 per trip. Then nothing but issues. Then the icing on the crap cake was the straw that broke the camels back. Service manager send me off with a nervous smile, they mysteriously washed my 35 foot RV no charge this time. I get to storage yard park my rig which has 6k miles and body once perfect only to find they had backed the RV into a lift or pole and smashed the upper rear drivers corner without disclosing. WOW! What a service center these crooks are running and getting away with. They did do the body repair as there was no way to deny the damage occurred during the last service. "We'll repair no charge. Ok when can I bring it in? Sorry we're booked for 2 months! OMFG did I take one for the team when I decided not to take warning from the other prior reviews. Stay away is my only advise. What a huge mistake buying parts and service from Giant RV. I purchased a PressurePro Tire Pressure Management Systems from Giant RV in Downey on Feb 18, 2021. After talking with Jeremy Flanders (Service Manger) and learning about the install process, I authorized and paid $149.99 for a Giant RV to install the system. After the install, I then tried to pair the bluetooth app (the display) and quickly realized that the units/ stem caps had to be installed while using the app which Giant RV failed to do. So essentially, I purchased a $365 system and paid $150 for the install which is now 100% useless. After talking with Randy (Service tech) afterwards, he confirmed that there was no possible work around to fix this without a total reinstallation. Despite reaching out to Jeremy Flanders, Service Manger, I have still not received a call back to remedy this failed install, nor have I received a credit. I'm shocked that a company with a purported good reputation and Winnebago brand could do such thoughtless work and get away with it. Horrible! read more

He shipped us off to a guy named Daniel. Daniel is where we went sideways. He brought us to the brand new trailers that were expensive and way too small, sent us to the MOST EXPENSIVE ONE, and He then disappeared for 20 minutes and came back ON THE PHONE with someone else, told us "I have other people coming to buy from me". We asked him if he had xyz in stock and also used in stock, we don't need new and fancy. He said "we close at 6 pm" and I don't have time to show you anything and continued on the phone call. We walked in at 5:30, if he hadn't walked away and actually took the time to ask what we wanted and needed, he may have gotten more from us. He was so freaking rude, on the phone the ENTIRE TIME he was with us. Daniel was rude and we walked right out. We saw a perfect coach class c motorhome online. It was even on sale. The day we went to look at it the price has jumped nearly $20k. We went to see it anyway and looked at it. It was a great coach and a good deal but about $10k over our budget. We decided to try to negotiate and see if there was any way to make a deal. Well dealing with Joe it became quickly clear that there was no negotiating. First he seemed incredibly bored by the whole thing. He told us the previously advertised price was a misprint. That was fine we had some room. They did offer a good price for our trade but that's it. The first offer they gave us was only $4k below their price and Joe kept pushing us about what a good deal it was. After a few back and forth exchanges it was obvious we weren't getting anywhere. Joe continued to push and said we weren't giving anything but yet they still hadn't done much on the price and we explained that really it was too high for what we had and we weren't comfortable. At that point Joe yelled at us to just leave and slammed his chair back and got up. We took that as our cue and stood. Before we could walk out Joe stopped and said "well we got a little heated but I love you guys I'll see what I can do " he came back with no change. With each question he became more and more irritated with us and it was apparent he was done. He kept telling us the coach has added things that make it worth the price but couldn't name anything. After an hour and half at this impasse we got up and left. About 30 min later we got a generic thank you for coming please call me with questions text from Joe. After being yelled at and treated as if we are a waste of time I don't think we'll be calling Joe for anything. read more

I had to get some work done to my RV and was looking for a Fleetwood authorized dealership. I have a 2020 Fleetwood Bounder 33c. There was a dealership close to my house, but they were so unprofessional and made me feel like they had no idea what they were doing. The dealership was also dirty and did not look professional at all. THEN I FOUND GAINT RV. I made a few calls to them and immediately saw the difference. I spoke to Hidi and she was so professional. Gaint RV was much further away from my home, but I made the drive and I am so glad I did. When I went to GAINT RV, I realized what a professional organization they were. My Service Rep was Randal (Randy) Baker. Randy was amazing. Randy was so professional and did not rush me one bit. He was so detailed and made sure he addressed all of my concerns. He was very knowledgeable. This was the theme no matter what department I walked into. When I went to the parts department to buy some stuff, everyone in there was so friendly and professional. This place is right off the freeway, easy access on and off! It's like a giant Costco for RV's, a huge warehouse, indoors without the sun beating down on you. Lots of parking in front. Of course I visited during COVID-19 and was disappointed that not all the employees were wearing a mask, and others weren't wearing it correctly. I did see the customers wearing masks. Also, the sales staff follow you into the unit. I've been to another dealer that said it was their policy not to enter the unit while the customer was inside and that made sense to me. At one point we were blocked from exiting by the salesman who was standing in the unit blocking the door. That was awkward. That alone was a reason I wanted to leave. This review is only for the sales part of the process. I set up a time to meet with Lenin to view a used Class B camper van. Lenin was great - he spent time to show me the vehicle I was interested in, but I missed that it was not a 4WD (my fault). Lenin spent the time to really understand how I planned to use the Class B and what features were important to me and what was a deal breaker. He showed me multiple options (new and used) which fit what I was looking for and now it is really just up to me to make the decision on which one is perfect for me. Can only speak to experience of searching for an RV and not a product, but we had a fantastic one with Lenin. There was a particular RV we were wanting to look at and Lenin first helped us out on the phone. Given that we had a 2+ hour drive to come and see the RV, we wanted confirmation that it was actually still available. He quickly confirmed (with photos) and was not overly pushy (a real plus). We went to see the RV which unfortunately did not fit all of our needs but Lenin spent the time to understand what we needed and showed us some great options. In 2021I purchased a new Stealth RV made by Forest River. Great trailer with lots of amenities. Last month, September 2023 I noticed the roof membrane separating from roof along it's edges. At first when speaking to a Forrest River representative to service my trailer, I was excited that there was a location near me! I was referred to Giant RV for warranty work. If I could give a -5 rating, this place would have been the first to qualify. I was totally ok waiting almost 2 months to get my trailer serviced. I couldn't even say that they dropped the ball on their service and workmanship. It seems like a combination of negligence, lack of proper management, and unconscious incompetence. 1. I mentioned to the service advisor that my name was misspelled, he mentioned that it didn't matter because they only look things up by number. Way to be personable. Ironically when I called back to schedule a pickup, the female service rep tried to look up my info by name, which was wrong and not corrected, requiring her to ask for several other pieces of information. 2. Upon dropping my trailer if for service, the advisor aware that the front refrigerator door cover/panel fell off and it was listed in the servicing notes. Nothing was done and the panel was in the exact same spot I told him when I dropped it off. 3. Luckily it the damage wasn't worse, but they managed to damage the spare tire cover and shredded up the entire bottom. He was at least nice enough to cover the cost of a replacement. Imagine having to come back to this place a second time. The level of unconscious incompetence here is amazing considering that I left over 5 messages over the course of 3 weeks to never receive any word from my advisor only to get a message that it was ready. So essentially for an almost 3-4 month turnaround from scheduling to finishing basic warranty servicing, I received a spare tire cover because they damaged it and a trailer wash. I really don't know how upper management allow some of these people to have a job. Either that, or they really need more personnel to keep it operating with people who actually care to do a decent job. This place was a complete waste of my time. Side note, I thought it was just me, however, one of the other customers there waiting was told that his trailer would be ready today. He had to call service twice to confirm that it was ready only to find out that an important part to the fix was still on backorder and he was never notified. He had planned to take his RV out for a long trip right after that he had planned over 6 months ago. At least there is some consistency here. read more

We purchased a brand new 2022 Geo pro the first week of oct 2021. The trailer had a scratch on the siding and a chip in the windshield. No problem they said we will do a due bill and have everything fixed by mid week after rolling it off the lot.On top of that when they loaded the bbq grill they damaged the exhaust for the heater. Side note when we mentioned that it had been damaged the response was "oh you never owned a trailer before. You will need to fix things as time goes on." Understand that fully but not when it's newly purchased and hasn't seen a camping trip yet.We have not had a chance to even take the trailer out yet. We drove up in November to get everything repaired and has been in their lot since (today 3-7-2022) We have been given the run around for the go. From the beginning of the repair to the end, Carlos was there for me throughout. Even when there was an issue after the initial repair it was handled quickly and professionally and in a timely manner. The quality of the repairs were also remarkable, as well, the folks who work in the parts department we're friendly, professional, and knowledgeable.
