    Amazing experience, Mike Dominguez the sales person may think so easy for me to make my decision on buying my new summer getaway trailer. No pressure just straightforward answers and over overall a great experience thanks again, Mike. I'll be picking up my camper this weekend. I appreciate you.     I am writing to formally bring to your attention a recent experience I had at Giant RV regarding my extended warranty refund. I visited your location to follow up on a refund of approximately $2,000 for an extended warranty I had paid in full after selling my trailer. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Daniel Carreon, who asked if I had an appointment. I explained that I did not, and he informed me I would need to wait about 30 minutes for the financial advisor. I understood and spent some time browsing the store. After waiting the 30 minutes, I approached Daniel again to ask for an update on how much longer it might be. Instead of checking with the advisor or offering to schedule me for another time, Daniel simply repeated that, since I did not have an appointment, I would "have to wait longer." When I expressed that I was willing to wait, he became visibly frustrated. To my surprise, he then threatened to call the police on me and asked me to leave the store -- despite the fact that I had only politely asked for an estimate of wait time. This interaction left me feeling disrespected and unwelcome as a paying customer. I believe situations like this could be handled in a far more professional and courteous manner. I am bringing this to your attention not only because of the difficulty I had resolving my refund, but also because I feel no customer should be treated in this way when visiting your business. I would appreciate your review of this matter and guidance on how I can complete my refund process.

    I would not recommend purchasing a trailer from Downey Giant RV or use their service, they dont stand behind their products (trailers and warranties) nor services. In early January 2023 I purchased a Freedom Express 274RKS. The delivery was delayed and finally fulfilled on March 9, 2023. The trailer was used 6 to 8 times over the last year and a half. I also purchased the additional warranty and protection plan for $3,616 with Secure Shield Trailer through Giant RV. the trailer was taken to Giant RV on 11/15/24 for repairs of items that were present at time of delivery (which I wasn't aware of) and many small items that developed shortly after we started using the trailer. When I dropped off the trailer for repairs, I was met with resistance that warranty would cover them. However I was assured that I would be contacted PRIOR to any repair work. I was just notified that the trailer is ready and provided an invoice, indicating work was perfomed without verbal consultation to proceed and warranty was denied. This includes improper slide adjustment, resulting in damage to flooring, failing door hinges, peeling photo finish on faux wood surfaces, leaking water line to toilet and other items. While happy with the design and layout of the trailer, I am disappointed in the quality of the Freedom Express product. Most importantly, I'm learned that GiantRV is only there for until the sale has been made.

They informed me that the key has been located and is being sent to me. This review is specifically regarding the poor communication and lack of follow-up from the service department, rather than the quality of the warranty work itself. I scheduled my vehicle pickup well in advance after having warranty work completed. However, upon arrival, I was informed that my service advisor was no longer with the company. Due to this transition, I experienced a much longer wait time than expected. The primary issue occurred once my travel trailer was finally pulled up: the service team could not locate my keys. I was told that the manager was currently in a meeting but would call me later that day to resolve the issue. Because I have a spare set at home, I was understanding and willing to give them time to follow up. Unfortunately, the day has passed, and I never received the promised phone call. Furthermore, because I was not provided with the manager's name or direct contact information, the burden is now on me to spend my own time tracking down someone who can help. The service work may have been completed, but the lack of internal communication, accountability, and basic follow-through turned a routine pickup into a frustrating experience. I hope management reaches out promptly to return my keys.

I purchased a new RV from a different retailer earlier this year and had to have some warranty work completed. I took the trailer to Mike Thompson since they are a Grand Design dealer. The check in process was really smooth. The service representative was friendly and left me thinking this is going to be a positive experience. Boy was I wrong. I took my trailer in for warranty work on 4/24/26 and it is now 7/8/26. I have been very reasonable and understand that some things such as part delivery are out of their control. The main issue is the LACK OF COMMUNICATION on behalf of the service department over the past 2 months. I was repeatedly told by the service advisor that he would call me back and he never did. I finally spoke with the service rep and he said that there were 5 or 6 minor repairs that were complete and all that was pending was the countertop, so we agreed that I would pick the trailer up and bring it back when the countertop arrives. The day I went to pick it up, I was checking out and noticed that most of the items on my invoice were marked as not complete. We are talking as minor as replacing an exhaust vent on the outside of the trailer and a seal below the sink. How could the service advisor not have known that the work was not complete? How could he have not communicated this to me? All he could say was they sent the wrong seal. As frustrated as I was, the parts supervisor stepped in and said he would personally find out what is going on, specifically with the countertop, and gave me his card. I called and left him a message over a week later and he never called me back. The service manager (a different person) called me after I left the dealership that day and said she would personally get to the bottom of the "miscommunication" first thing Monday morning (June 29th) and get back to me. She never called me back. I was there on Friday, June 26th and it is now July 8th and no call from anyone. You would think with two supervisors involved that one of them would have called me in a week in a half. You would think that they would make it a priority to reach out with some news. It is no wonder the service rep treats customers like this if his supervisors could care less. They have had my trailer longer than I have since I owned it. So disappointing.

They were willing to negotiate, patient when I picked it up and took time to explain all the systems to me. In addition, they gave me the peace of mind knowing they'd help if I had any troubles (which I did not). The quality of the build, smart and thoughtful design and the corresponding retention of value resulted in our scheduling a trip to the nearest Lance dealer, Galaxy Campers in Ontario. We had heard great things about David, the owner and Miguel, the sales manager. From an initial phone call to David and two subsequent visits where we met David and Miguel we experienced friendly, professional assistance without any pushiness. We ended up placing an offer to buy a new 2024 1875 model at an outstanding price. We negotiated some upgrades, an extra solar panel, two 300 amp hr lithium batteries and an E2 weight distribution anti sway hitch. They were able to complete the upgrades and we closed the sale today. Miguel went over every aspect of the trailer's design, controls having us interact to see firsthand how the controls and options worked. Thorough not rushed and addressing all our rookie questions. David dialed in the rear view camera and corresponding monitor so we had a perfect rear view as well as explaining all the steps in hitching and unhitching the trailer. Again I participated instead of just watching the steps involved. It's the little things replacing a tiny cotter pin with a larger one for ease of use, Paper work was efficient, both David and Miguel made sure I had their cell numbers for any later questions. Great product, great service and value and supporting a second generation family business just puts the icing on the cake. Our first trip, back to Oceanside, went flawlessly. David answered a call from us when we questioned the battery disconnect off setting after arriving home. Great people to work with!

After coordinating with them for a period of time to do work on my RV, I had an abrupt ending which was extremely perplexing. I am only posting this because being in an extremely vulnerable position, and they knew that I was. I had been communicating with them about upkeep work I needed for my RV and was waiting on funding. After speaking with Jon mostly they came out to my Location to assess the work and then give me a quote for it. Everything was set up for them to do the work and when the time came to do the work they told me to go somewhere else. Now before anyone thinks, "There must be something I did, or there is more to the story", I beg you, that is not the case. It was understood that once all the parts came in that we would set up the install time. Mind you I am a single woman and have zero support to get anything mechanical done. Once my parts came in, I was set up to have them do the work. When I called to schedule the appointment, they were rude and told me to "separate" and "go my own way"??? Are we dating? I want to also make it very clear that I, in no way, was rude or demanding. In fact, everything was extremely cordial just like most of the comments about them, saying they are friendly and accommodating as heck! Which I have always found them to be. But now, when I really needed help to do the installs, I was told i am not able too? Honestly, I would just like to know why they treated me that way, when I have been extremely nice and patient. At this point, I am extremely frustrated and confused, cause now I have to start all over again with parts sitting in my yard that I have to hide so they don't get stolen. Why would someone do this to a person? Its literally two simple installs and I am ready to have it done. RV Masters! I thought you were one of the good guys, Apparently NOT!
