This pizza was delicious! I could not stop eating even though I was past capacity. The cheese was outstanding and there was a slight crunch in the crust, which I loved. The Oreo stuffed cookie was so buttery but also had hints of salty which was the perfect sweet and salty dessert. The guy who took our order was very nice and helpful, as it was our first time. I regret not ordering the hot honey sauce. I would definitely recommend Gibroni's to anyone looking for great pizza in the San Clemente area! read more

They share a space with JD Kitchen and Bar. There is no signage for Gibroni's but when you see the fire pit outside you've come to the right place. Order Pizza from the window, and buy your drinks at the bar. The operate separately which can be confusing but you'll figure it out. I ordered the "From the D" pizza and added mushrooms. The wait was about 20 min but totally worth the wait. I normally prefer Brooklyn style pizzas and was instantly blown away with this Detroit style pizza. It exceeded my expectations!! It had a nice light crisp on the outside but doughy and soft in the inside. The marinara sauce that they topped off with was a little cold but other than that this pizza is chef's kiss! Was a bit hesitant to try this place as I have been disappointed in some other hyped up deep dish pizza places. Wow was this good. Got "The Fun Guys"mushroom pizza with truffle and added basil and eliminated sausage. So yum-the 4 slices were enough for 2 of us since we weren't hungry. If you are, get your own it's a great personal size pizza as well. Order at counter and the deliver to table. Cool vibe with a few games inside. Outdoor patio available. Met some friends here to check out the Band last night. We arrived at 6:30 and the Band wasn't playing until 8pm. Finding a Seat was an ordeal, couldn't reserve a table, it was 'seat yourself', my friend said to get a table for 5. I was Lucky Enough to find 1 chair near a couch, and when she arrived with her girlfriend we had to squeeze her into the couch next to a married couple. After about an hour we were all Sitting on the Couch together and having Fun. The Food was Super Tasty and worth the Wait. The Bar & Pizza Staff were pleasant & friendly. We had 'The Fun Guys Pizza' with Crimini mushrooms, sausage, white truffle oil, porcini cream sauce, & parsley garnish. We also had 'The Cabana Pizza' with Oven roasted chicken, red onion, blistered tomatoes, fresh sliced avocado, parmesan & pesto drizzle. Both Pizza choices tasted awesome!! My friend and I enjoyed some nice glasses of Cabernet. I'd definitely come back here for the Awesome Pizza & Live Bands. read more

Came in for their new full brunch menu. Wife had their new Croque Madame breakfast pizza and I had their Choriqueso Sammie with a side salad. Definitely a San Clemente Staple. I have trouble just ordering a pizza when I'm there. I'm guilty of trying to corral my friends and family together to eat Gibronis, so I can justify all the different items I order including From the D Pepperoni Pizza ( 1-2 pieces and you're full I promise) , 3-4 orders of Cranch (crack ranch) because I'm a sicko who wants their signature ranch for leftovers as well, The Sausage Vodka Pasta (best pasta with vodka sauce I've ever had ,always leftovers), Caesar salad because their Caesar dressing is so good not fishy and it's the only Caesar dressing that has anchovies in it that I can tolerate. Items I want to try to would be the chicken tenders, Mac & cheese, more reports to come. I've never dined there just ordered takeout and they make it very accessible and easy along with a rewards program. Staff is always friendly professional and you can tell that each pizza is thought individually of and handled with care. I will have to brave myself into one of their live music or sporting event viewer nights because it almost always looks poppin in there, it's just that I prefer to gorge myself with these bountiful food items in private with Netflix like a spider, so no one can see my post food baby and tomato cranch sauce mustache. read more

We have recently found this place. It is the best pizza in San Clemente. They have great live music quite often and the pizza is incredible. I love thick crust pizza I thought I was a Pizza Port man. I've played with Selma's, but this has the best mixture of thick crust and sauce and everything together. My whole family swears by this stuff. read more

I'm a total lover of pizza. This was a great deep dish pizza place in beautiful San Clemente! Several customers came and went while we ordered and waited. Seems popular with the locals. Fire pit was warm and comfortable to enjoy while we waited for our pizza. More of an order and take home or to the beach place. No tables to eat. None the less we enjoyed our pizzas! I wasn't sure what to expect but a friend recommended Detroit style pizza. Definitely a Detroit themed restaurant with memorabilia all over the walls. I am now a gigantic fan. The pizza was crispy, but not overdone, the dough was fantastic and the toppings were plentiful. I tossed half of pizza as the soggy crust and grease was not edible - I have - never, never done that before. I finally made my way to Gibroni's for a pizza. And boy, I'm glad I did. It is a bit of a challenge finding it as it is located within JD's Kitchen & Bar. My wife and I rolled in at 5:45 to pick up the pizza. The friendly bartender Justin, directed me to the open window next to the bar that has a sign overhead that reads, Gibroni's Pizza, Est. 2020. There were two very nice hardworking young men, Alex and Nick, working the kitchen. They immediately handed me my From the D ($20.00), a double pepperoni with marinara and parmesan with a side order of Opa! Greek Salad ($8.00). I turned to Justin and asked him if it was okay if we sat at the bar to eat it if we ordered a couple of beers. He said, "Sure, no problem". We posted up at the bar and right in front of a large screen TV that had the USC/UCLA game on. I turned to the wife and said, "How good is this?" We ordered a couple of frosty local tap beers ($7.00 each) and cracked open the pizza box. A delicious looking rectangular shaped pizza ($20.00) cut into 4 pieces lay before us. I jump in right away and took a bite. It is awesome! The crust, the toppings, the flavor, we are all top notch. Surprisingly, the Opa salad was a highlight as well. It has Kalamata olives, cucumbers, pepperoncini's, tomatoes, red onions, Bulgarian feta with a side of Greek dressing. It is super crisp and fresh tasting and is a fabulous accompaniment to the pizza. The pizza is on the small side for the price but when you factor in the quality of the ingredients and that it's expertly prepared, I think you will find it's well worth it. We ordered the family pack and got the D pizza and the Fun Guys Pizza I they were a little too saltier than most but they were very filling one piece was like eating 2pcs.
