I recently purchased a vehicle from Gibson Truck World hoping to find a truck I could purchase; however, I could not find one within my price range so the sales rep told me that they have a Chevy Traverse that one of their top management personnel had been driving that was within my price range so I took a look not knowing what a Traverse vehicle looked like and when I saw it I fell in love with it because it was super clean in and out with no dents had more miles than I wanted especially for the year model 2021, but again was a clean vehicle that belong to what I was told a corporate vehicle of a traveling sales rep. which, made sense due to the condition of the vehicle appearance and the mileage. So I purchased the vehicle and for a week it just stayed parked in my driveway as I was going to use the vehicle to conduct sales calls with it as well and on the second week from when I purchased the vehicle is when I started to use the vehicle and on the very first day as I was driving back from Orlando to Lake Mary which, is where I live I felt the car starting to jerk and the engine light and break lights started on the dash so I had to get off of I-4 and get to a safe parking lot and decided to turn off the vehicle as I was hoping that by doing this would reset everything on the vehicle and the warning lights and the jerking would go away, but it don't help; so I drove the vehicle that way all the way back to my home. The next day I took the vehicle back to the dealer where I had purchased the vehicle from (Gibson Truck World) to have them look at it and fix it ASAP. When I was registering the vehicle the service manager told me that most likely what was wrong with the vehicle was not covered under the extended warranty (due to break issues) I recently purchased for the vehicle that supposedly they told me at the time of purchase the vehicle would be covered from "bumper to bumper". I told him why isn't the breaks some where between the "bumper to bumper" or are the breaks somewhere other than in between the bumpers? So, he told me that it was better to figure out what was wrong with the vehicle before we got into all that the extended warranty covered or not. So, after they conducted their analysis, they called me to tell me that they could not find anything wrong with the vehicle and that the vehicle was fine. Which was unbelievable, so I took my vehicle and the following week when I used the vehicle again for sales calls the vehicle acted up again so I decided to take the vehicle back to the dealership and leave it with them and told them to keep the vehicle until they find the problem that I have been experiencing as I showed them on my cellphone where I had taken video's of how the dashboard was reacting with the issues showing up again time after time. The problem would come up and then after a block or two it would go away so I left it there with them and after a day or two they finally called me and informed me that the car was showing an engine back fire which, indicated that the vehicle needed a major tune up and that the cost was over a $1K, and that it wasn't covered by warranty as well. This is not what I wanted to hear as I had just purchased the vehicle and purchased an extended warranty with it that cost over $3K+ and for it not to be covered under warranty. What I don't understand is that if you recall at the beginning of this message I said that a top management personnel was during this vehicle at the time I purchased it and you can't tell me that he never noticed this with the vehicle as I don't believe that it never had to him and they decided to sell the vehicle under those conditions knowing well that the vehicle was defective regardless. Another thing is that they need to stop telling people that their warranties and/or extended warranties are covered from "bumper to bumper" and instead tell people what their warranties do not cover because by selling a customer a warranty policy for their vehicle and stating that their warranty cover "bumper to bumper" is a misrepresentation. I will never purchase another vehicle from this dealership ever again because I feel as if they knowingly sold me a vehicle that was a defect and just wanted to get it off their lot. So, I recommend that if you purchase a used vehicle that you get it in writing that you have 100% warranty on the vehicle on all parts and labor from time of purchase and any other extended warranties that you purchase after the 30, days. read more

I contacted them about a truck I was interested in. Told Leo I would have to talk via text and email. I asked what is the best price out the door and he said he can take $200 off. I informed him I live in another state and would have to fly to FL to drive this truck back. He then comes back and says $500. I contact another dealership and give them the info on this truck with the vin number and the man tells me this truck is overpriced. He said the truck is only worth $45,000 and they have it priced at $56k. I told Leo he would have to do better on the price. I never heard back from him until this morning 5/30. Yesterday I had emailed the owner letting him know what all was going on with Leo and wanted him to contact me. Never heard from the owner. I sent the owner another message this morning. They super libeled me on my trade in truck that I bought there years ago. I walked out and they offered me $3K more before I even got to the front door. That's basically admitting they tried to rip me off for $3K! I sold it privately for $6K more than they offered. I tried to be a loyal customer, but no more. read more

2017s are priced more than 2018s. Pricing seems to be generalized. I ended up with a 2018 XLT 6.7 turbo diesel for 49k with less miles than their 2017. It was priced at 64k plus tax tag and title. Thanks to Tim Lide for doing his best and for the water bottle. read more

I paid 60K for a Ram truck that came with tow mirrors that were supposed to light. They didn't and I was told, basically, that they weren't responsible and I would have to pay a Ram dealer to get the mirror lights working. Once they had their money post sale service was a joke! My husband and I purchased a Diesel truck in October 2019. It is now April 2020. Exactly 6 months ago. We put about 5,000 miles on it. We purchased it with having 163475 on it the day we left Gibson Truck World. Before leaving they talked us into purchasing a extended warranty bumper to bumper so we purchased it. Exactly 6 months after purchasing it the truck starts to overheat. We take it to a diesel shop who tell us it's a blown head gasket. The owner of the shop tell us he can tell it was a prior issue because of the cheap way someone tried to cover it up to turn around and sell it. The owner also tells us that there is no way a blown head gasket would of happened within 6 months of having it. Well thankfully we paid a ton of money for this awesome extended warranty that covers everything under the engine including bumper to bumper. The shop calls the warranty company who told them they would not cover the blown head gasket because the truck is over 150,000 miles. Well we purchased the truck at 163,000 miles. Why did the company push us into purchasing a very expensive warranty if knowing the company wouldn't cover it. We call Gibson truck world which took forever to get anyone on the phone. Finally after talking to someone after calling multiple times being transferred from person to person we got to speak to someone in finance who tells us there was nothing they could do for us!!!!!!!! They sold us a piece of shit truck and sold us a expensive warranty that wouldn't even work if something was to happen!!!! This company is a piece of shit! When stuff comes down to it besides them making money off of you and they don't care about you. I am besides myself with this fraud company!!!!! All they care about is making money not about taking care of their customers! Don't buy any trucks from there, take your money else where!!!! read more

Car buying is not fun. It's really not fun when yours truly is shopping for a vehicle that can pull a very large trailer and be an every day driver to ferry kids to and fro. I had to get a diesel, crew cab truck. When you have a tight budget that's not a broad category to mine. I spent several weeks shopping both private sellers and dealers in three different counties. That was after I spent months researching what I needed in terms of space and power. I set a limit and set forth. After going all the way to a dealer next to the airport I was done shopping. A private seller had what I was looking for except the truck needed tires and had the dreaded Ford 6 liter diesel. I checked Gibson's website one last time while eating lunch and a truck caught my eye. It's close so I headed on out. I get to Gibson Truck World and meet a young guy named Ian. He seems like a nice guy and and we head off to look at the target vehicle. Ian and I drive a few trucks and he's completely honest about what he does and doesn't know about each one. Refreshing. I make a choice and then I meet one of the managers, Mike. The truck isn't flashy but it's what I need and the price is great. I'm buying and older truck so it's As-Is, no warranty. It comes with the territory. Mike and Ian are super cool and completely no pressure in their approach. We reach a deal and I meet Yves, the owner. Another nice guy! This whole experience has been head and shoulders above every other experience in this process. Roll forward to today. I notice a leak coming from the engine. Not a little leak either. I've bought this truck as is so I'm a little freaked out. I call and set up an appointment to take a look. Turns out there's a few problems and they need taken care of quickly. I'm in a pinch. No warranty and I need this done cheaply. After about 30 minutes of conversation Mike, Ian and Yves decide that customer service is more important than the exact wording of the purchase contract. They were under zero obligation to do anything for a no warranty truck yet they came through big for me on the repairs. That's real customer service! I've bought a lot vehicles through the years but I've never had a dealer retroactively give me a warranty of any kind. You want a big truck then you want to go to Gibson Truck World. They saved this poor sap! p.s. Their competitors across the street, Nations, literally laughed in my face when I told them what I was looking for. Not cool. Avoid! read more

I bought a truck from Gibson back in 2000. Back then the price was fair to partly cloudy. However despite the fact that I was paying cash, they would not consider haggling. They're cocky about the number of trucks they move on a monthly basis. They take the attitude that the customer is negotiable (someone else will come along and buy it for what we're asking. You ain't shit worth it) Today I went shopping for a replacement only to find truck prices grossly inflated. For a truck with 41,000 miles they wanted (none negotiable) $3,000 less than a brand new model with the same trim packages and options. You buy a new truck with zero miles and you loose $3,000 in value when you drive it off the lot. I know dealerships that move 150 trucks a month with a low profit margin but higher overhead costs. They're making money by putting the customers first. They have to or they lose customer satisfaction and as such, the factorys will pull out and give the dealer license to someone else! Gibson truck worlds business attitude is simple: "Customers are stupid, suckers and trash. They come in 2nd place. 1st place goes to the high profit margin for a crappy looking lot. They're nothing more than any other 3rd rate used car dealership you find located old junk yards, abandoned gas stations. Their high profits are needed to sponsor the owners expensive power boat racing team and the huge house. Don't do business here. You can find much better deals elsewhere if you're serious about buying a quality used truck and want to spend the extra time looking. One was just a mistake and he apologized and was more than willing to make it right (Troy Wallrich) then the other ""Tim Lide"" Was VERY rude and basically told me to go somewhere else!! I am currently in the market to purchase both myself, and my fiance' a new truck, I need a 3/4 or 1 ton truck to pull a trailer and was looking to purchase an EcoDiesel for her. I saw a nice looking truck at Gibson, a 2011 Ram 2500, 4x4, Cummins Diesel, Laramie, with 55,993 miles, 3 previous owners, and an accident on the Carfax for $42,995; and based on their notorious claims of "guaranteed you won't find a better truck for less", and their 12 month bumper to bumper warranty I decided to give them a try. I called them and spoke with a dealer named "Leo" and told him I liked the truck and that it was a long bed since those are hard to find nowadays, he kept insisting that I put $500 down over the phone to hold it for me, but I told him I would fill out the application when I got home and come up Saturday to see and potentially buy it (a 3 hour drive). When I got home, I went online to browse a bit more and at another dealership I found a 2012 Ram 2500, 4x4, Cummins Diesel, Laramie Longhorn, Megacab, with only 46,223 miles, 2 previous owners, and a clean Carfax for only $40,000. Leo had texted me earlier in the day, so I sent him a text back with a link to the truck, and simply asked him if they would price match the truck. It's clearly a better value truck, but I liked the idea of the warranty with Gibson and the long bed is again a preference of mine. his response is by far the rudest I've ever received from any "professional". In July of this year my husband purchased a 2017 RAM 2500 Heavy Duty Cumming Diesel. Truck had less than 35,000 miles. Within the firsts few weeks my husband noticed some pulling issues with the truck and contacted Gibson Truck world to correct the issues. He brought the truck in and they claimed to have fixed the problem but my husband said that it seemed worse and Gibson Truck World said that the pulling was to be expected with the lift and that they couldn't do anything else about it. Also in July my husband had back surgery for a C5-C7 neck injury so he hasn't been able to get under the truck himself until just recently. He found were the two tie rods meet was too short, instead of buying extended tie rod ends they maxed out the threads and then tack welded the jam nut to the coupler. It is impossible to even adjust it because they permanently welded. The welds look terrible and are seriously unsafe. There is no way they were unaware of the danger they put our family in as they claimed to have made the alignment repairs in August. We use this truck to frequently haul heavy loads. We have called and left messages and of course have heard nothing back. We are left with thousands of dollars in repairs to correct a truck we paid over $50,000 for. Far from thrilled with how I felt I was treated by the staff here. I explained my situation to the sales person, without even looking at my credit he all but said I need x amount down, the x being a substantial number, and if I couldn't do that there was no point in looking. He then WALKED off and started talking to another customer. I ended up buying elsewhere and couldn't be happier with how I was treated where I bought. Ps. While trying to get info I had submitted an internet inquiry to which all I got were blanket responses. I called in and was never called back like I was promised, but again sent blanket responses via email. I purchased a 2008 GMC 2500HD diesel in August 2016 to pull an RV. I now have driven the truck coast to coast and have had zero problems. Over 43,000 miles. The truck has performed flawlessly in the mountains and along the coasts. I felt I was treated fairly and would definitely consider buying from Gibson in the future. I think of car salesman and realtors as whores. They will tell you anything to get your money. Even had a car dealership owner in Ocala tell me personally that lying to the customer was an accepted practice in their trade. Whether you buy from Gibson or from another dealer, get all promises in writing and I do mean everything and you should have no problems. read more

After speaking with a couple salesmen, I would never buy a truck from this dealership. I inquired about a 7.3 Ford diesel with 84k miles. Their asking price was $27,495. The full retail blue book value on the truck (including the nicer wheels/tires, bedliner, etc) was $19,700. So I called and made an offer of $20k, still ABOVE retail blue book and was told the price of the truck is NON NEGOTIABLE and the truck will sell at that price. Looking at their inventory, EVERYTHING on their lot is wayyy above blue book values, so please do your research before hand. Food for thought, if I bought this truck for $27k, then it got stolen or totaled, the insurance company will pay blue book! I would be in the hole $8000 if that happened. Every other dealership in the country who gets a nice 7.3 diesel on their lot sells it within a few days, seriously. They've had this truck on their lot for over 3 months now. Oh and their military "discount" was offered to me to be $200 off, that would change my monthly payment by about $3..? That's less than a 1% discount. What an insult, and I feel sorry for the many military members that you've ripped off that way. read more

After driving three hours from Jacksonville I was given the run around after being at the dealership for another two hours and then told a price $7,000.00 more from what I was told by the manager two hours ago.
