    Radiatori with vodka sauce

I have many places on my list to try in Western Market and decided on Gigi's! Really can't go too wrong with pasta but as far as Italian in the city goes there are definitely better options. I thought the value was solid and bowls started at $12 for a decent amount of pasta! It was a bit overcooked and not quite the nice chewy al dente you want from handmade pasta and the sauce was a little drier than I wanted. The side focaccia was a nice free add! My food came out pretty much immediately and ordering was simple.

I found Gigi Pasta while looking up places to visit on your upcoming trip. I had to add it to our must visit list! It was so yummy! They made the pasta fresh in house (you can see them making it). Then you get to pick your sauce and toppings. It was a hard choice to not go crazy but I ended up with vodka sauce top with Barada. It was sooo good. If we had more time I would have went 2 times and tried more favors.

This spot is located in a casual food court setting. While it's not a full-service restaurant, there's plenty of nearby seating to enjoy your meal right away. The pastas were outstanding--rich, flavorful sauces paired with perfectly cooked noodles. I especially appreciated that everything was served piping hot. Just a heads-up: the portions are quite generous.

This place is solid! It's located in western market I believe and it's a great stop if you're craving fresh pasta. You pick your pasta shape, sauce, and any add ons through the iPad like device and it all comes out pretty quickly. There's seating all around so finding a seat should be pretty easy! The portions are pretty big and I had leftovers for a couple more meals too. Will definitely be back to try other options!

Really good. The fresh pasta and sauce on the spot is where it's at. The lasagna although really good the pasta with marinara and meatballs tastes just like Grandma use to make and was Delicious! And the portions were plenty. Can't wait for my next trip to this cute food hall and some Gigi's pasta.

Located in Western Market Food Hall in DC! This is a nice "choose your pasta" style place. Everything is made to order, but they make their pasta fresh daily. The price was a good bang for your buck. Each dish comes with garlic bread. The sauces were delicious, plenty enough to match up with your pasta. The dish that got protein came with 3 meatballs. We did not get a dessert, but the cannolis looked fantastic! Gigli pasta soaked up the sauce well. Radiatori pasta was thick and packed with flavor. The service was great, takes a bit to get your food due to cooking the food on the spot, be patient. If you're in the mood for a cool place to eat with fresh pasta, head to GiGis!

The pasta here is so good! You can tell that it's freshly made in-house. My coworker and I each custom made our pasta bowls. You can pick from 4 noodle types, a few sauces, and some proteins. Depending on the protein, the price will vary. I picked the gigil pasta with vodka sauce and meatballs which my total was about $18. I feel like it is a bit pricey for a small portion, but that's dc pricing for you! I love their decor. The lemon tree all over the top gives it a nice aesthetic.

I like the idea of a pasta bar, where you can get it quickly and on the go. I ordered the rigatoni with à la vodka sauce and burrata as an add on. My food was ready in about 10 minutes and my meal was filling and the burrata was a positive add. I wish the bread, which comes on the side, was softer. In terms of pricing, with no add-ons, the pasta is $12, which is a solid price for anyone on a budget. Adding an protein or extras jumps the price to about $20.

This pasta was AMAZING! It's in a little food hall which means seating was a little hard to find, but once I sat down and took a bite, perfect. I ordered at the counter and the guy was super nice and I like their layout where you can see the types of pasta they have at the beginning of the line.

Wow, ok so initially I wasn't impressed. The pasta was somewhat bland but Joel the manager happened to show exceptional customer service and offered to fix it for me. So that turned a subpar experience to a great one. I love that the pasta is fresh and love the concept. I'm open to trying something else next time:I love the concept of food markets! Also another plus the portion size is huge so can easily be shared with a coworker if on lunch, or partner!

Had to try this new spot in western market for lunch since it's right across the street from my office! It's so cute and such a cool idea for a pasta bar! It was hard to make a decision because everything looked so good but I got the chicken pesto pasta and it comes with focaccia. Was so. Good. I wasn't expecting the portions to be so big either! I definitely could've made it last 2 meals but it was so good that I couldn't stop myself from finishing! Will definitely be returning to try other pastas. Thought it was smart that they have a warmer pad for orders so that your pasta stays hot before pick up.

Very tasty create your own pasta spot. Four different pastas, handful of different sauces, few meat and cheese add-ons. Just pasta with sauce will run you about $12, adding meat and cheeses will add a few dollars more. The bowl does not really look like much but they really pack it in there and it's really a lot of food for the money. Hopefully they introduce some additional sauce options like alio olio or Alfredo.

    Joshua K.

I recently went here for a weekday lunch and got the beef Bolognese in a timely manner. The pasta was pricey (over $17) for the relatively small portion size. The cheese was delicious and the sauce was fine; however, the rigatoni were somewhat gummy and overcooked.

Apparently, it was their 30th anniversary too, so that was fun to celebrate. The waiters were very attentive with waters, clean up, and following up with our dishes. Although, I could tell they were trying to upsell me every time I tried to order something, which I rather not deal with for most dining occasions. Place is cozy with some Italian decor and Italian music playing. Everything was pretty good in my opinion; can't say that I can choose which course was my favourite! We had the duck prosciutto as an appetizer, which was a special. It was delicious with the cooked duck taste, alongside the toast with very vibrant jam. My vongole pasta was good too; I do like pasta more on the firmer side, which it was. It tasted great with the calm, garlic, and olive oil - simple, yet tasty. The tiramisu itself was fine, but I believe it was enhanced even more with the sauces and cookie bit on the top; the cookie bit was too good. I definitely would like to come back to try some of their other things!

Warm and inviting on a cold February night. The service? Professional, friendly and efficient. The food? Excellent and unique, even a dish that could be mundane like chicken breast. Honestly, how - after 66 years on this earth and countless chicken breasts consumed - can I rave about a chicken breast??? But the chicken breast at Al Tiramisu is different. The presentation was beautiful - sliced and then arranged back together like the chef was Michelangelo himself. The small amount of juice around the chicken was excellent - butter and salt and rosemary and a veritable symphony of umami flavors! Divine! The lobster bisque is like no other I have ever had in my entire life and I go back and forth to Maine several times every year! But I have never eaten lobster bisque as smooth, as liquid-gold as this with so much banging flavor!!! Every spoonful exploded in my mouth. When I was done, I used the bread to soak up every leftover dribble! I know, I know, this review is a little bit over the top, isn't it? But Al Tiramisu deserves it! Luigi, Nadja and the entire staff run a restaurant which cannot be surpassed. Treat yourself! Go to Al Tiramisu!!!!

You can pick up large format bottles of high-end wine in wooden boxes or check out the temperature controlled wine cellar. You can also pick up a wedge of cheese and something out of the cigar humidor. They do have a decent craft beer selection, just not as extensive, unless of course you check out the goose Island bourbon barrel beers of which they have many vintages of. Found it to be a bit louder than I would've liked but I think it was because of the spacing between tables. Came toward the end of the night and got seated and welcomed right away. I ordered the polpette, meatballs to start. They were quite tasty, but the sauce was a bit watery. Think that's just because the meatballs themselves were pretty juicy. Heard the focaccia was a hit, so asked for some of that. I was told they didn't have any left. Which was weird, because then another server came and asked if I wanted bread. I'm glad I said yes because the focaccia is very fresh and was a great addition to the meal. For my main, I ordered the vodka pasta, which was very flavorful and very saucy. I love a good, thick vodka sauce and that's what you'll get here. The one part of the pasta I didn't really enjoy was the chicken inside the pasta. I think I would've preferred a grilled chicken option instead of the chicken that comes in the pasta. That being said, this place is a gem. The prices are great and the portions are hearty.
