My husband dragged me to a concert here earlier in the month and while it ended up being a pretty good performance, I'd rather never see a show again than see one at Gillette (and thank god I'll never be tempted to go to a football game). From the nightmarish traffic to wildly overwhelmed staff to filthy porta potties, the whole experience was a complete mess. Parking a mile away is still $40. My first game at our home stadium. This was at the top of my bucket list! It was easy enough to figure out our seats. It's a great stadium . Pats won!! That made it even better! Parking is a bit of a upset. Prices are high. ( go figure) it's a nightmare getting out as expected after a game that the stadium holds around 68,000 people! There's all kinds of stores and food places right there so you can enjoy that while the parking lot clears out . It's definitely a experience. If you haven't gone pls do it. No regrets. read more

Getting here from Downtown, Boston wasn't too bad. We just had to calculate our timing and it worked out perfectly. We took the Purple Train at the Back Bay station it cost $20 round trip. Train makes about 4 stops and from there usually there are Taxis waiting for you and ready to take you to the stadium which is about 15 -20 min away from the station. It was an experience. We got dropped of by the back and we arrived it was a beautiful view. There's lots to do, tailgating, restaurant, lots of shops. The staff at the stadium were very attentive, we were sitting on Row 3 and we paid a hefty price but unfortunately we had a super drunk person around us and a few of us told him to calm down but he didn't listen so security staff approached him and they were kind to him and told him to calm down, the security understood it was exciting but he needed to be calm so he wouldn't get kicked out. Nice new place with the same old problems There's no doubt that the new Gillette Stadium is an impressive place. Built in 2002 it reflects the new technologies and capabilities in stadium building and is a huge improvement over the austere and archaic Schaefer Stadium. Sitting on Schaefer's backless aluminum benches in 10 degree weather was tough for even the most fervent or intoxicated fan. Gillette has relatively comfy places to plant your butt and there literally isn't a bad seat in the house. No poles or things to obstructed views, the place was obviously well planned and constructed. Huge high def scored boards on either end of the field keep you informed of what's going on in other games and make sure everyone knows if the refs blow a call. Pretty impressive stuff. However even with all the great improvements and high tech, some old problems typical of stadiums remain. First of all getting in and out of the stadium is a nightmare. They do run some commuter trains but many people like to get there early to shop and tailgate so it's always a mess, especially leaving the stadium. Of course the parking fees are brutal. Another problem is again typical of most stadiums, the prices of everything is absurd. I realize that the salaries of some of the players are astronomical but eight bucks for a crummy hot chocolate is a travesty, The last major problem is again typical of just about every large arena or stadium I have been in; the lack of bathrooms. Sure Gillette is much better than the old Schaefer Stadium, that place seemed like it had only two decrepit crappers for 60,000 people. Gillette is much better but still not nearly good enough. Our friend went to the women's room at half time and didn't get back to her seat until the second half was already started. She said she waited a full 25 minutes to use the facilities. A few more low tech crappers in this high tech stadium would be nice. Gillette is a great place to see a Patriot's game and I suspect it's pretty cool for other events too. Just expect to pay for all these fancy amenities and Corinthian extravagance. I don't know what they can do about the traffic but plan on eating, drinking and using the bathroom before you walk through those gates. read more

Fun evening out...NE Revolution hosted NYCFC. Security lines seemed long but moved quickly. We didn't get a chance to check out Patriots Place but there seemed to be enough shopping and eating. Parking was free for NE Revolution games but approx $40 for Pats games. That's just basic economics, i.e. supply and demand. There was a craft beer kiosk which my husband didn't see so he came back with Stella Artois. Lines for food and drink were never long. Family friendly environment was nice. All of the people we encountered were friendly. This was the last home game of the 2017 season so till next year! read more

It's clear Gillette and the Patriots don't give a crap about rideshare drivers and passengers by making drop offs as complicated and frustrating as possible. The current Uber/Lyft drop off point for Gillette Stadium is at Bass Pro Shops which is 1) On the left side of a center divider that cars cannot cross when going South on US-1/Washington Street and 2) Is a full mile and a half from the stadium. How is this an acceptable setup for anyone involved? How does this make people want to come to the game? What's worse is when my passengers tried to get out at the retail lot 20, which should be their prerogative, they were chastised and yelled at to get back in the car by Security Staff. Gillette Stadium is our first football stadium we've traveled to. I'd imagine coming to a sporting event would be more overwhelming than the one we came for a concert... In terms of security and parking. Not being from the area, we weren't about to park in a $20 parking lot and walk a few miles and get suckered. Well in a way we did get what we paid for, a closer spot for $40... Once we paid for parking, we got a flyer that had rules and items that were allowed/not allowed into the stadium. I was a little disappointed to find out that they weren't so strict on the rules for concerts vs. football games because I left my purse and other "not allowed" items in the car when it was clearly allowed by all of the other concert goers. I've had the privilege of going to Gillette Stadium on numerous occasions, whether it be for a Patriots game, a Revolution game, or to walk and shop around Patriot place. But let's ignore the latter and focus on the stadium itself, and not what surrounds it. For starters, let's talk about the parking situation for football games. There is only one thing that you'll probably remember from going to a Patriots game at Gillette Stadium: traffic is a bitch. With over 68,000 fans packing the place for every single game, it makes for a lot of cars fighting for spots. While they have enough for everyone out there (they have over 16,000 spots), you have to understand that many people are tailgating and that there is significant congestion before and after the games. It is best to arrive early, tailgate and relax, and do the same after the game, weather permitting of course. On the other hand, for Revolution games, due to significantly smaller attendance, parking is a breeze and very easy. Keep in mind that you don't have to drive in, as the commuter rail has special trains that will shuttle the fans from downtown Boston and many spots along the way. It takes a little while but it makes for a much easier entrance and exit. As far as the stadium goes, it's absolutely massive and is one of the crown jewels of the National Football League. It was mostly build for the New England Patriots and no expensive was spared. It opened in 2002 and has already witnessed some pretty incredible games and records. Along with football and soccer, it is also the host of many other events, especially CountryFest and other major concerts (U2, Green Day, Jimmy Buffett, etc...) The stadium is very well designed and even when packed, there is a lot of crowd relief as the aisles within it's interior are wide and they replaced most stairs with ramps which decongested everything. On the downside, the concessions stands are very expensive as is parking, which costs $40 per vehicle during NFL games - It is somehow free for MLS games though as of right now, something that will probably change down the road. The facilities are clean, security does a very good job but there is one major flaw in the stadium: on cold days, there is absolutely nowhere to hide from the elements, unless you're sitting under the overhang. And when I say nowhere, I mean absolutely nowhere, even in the bathrooms. I've sat through Patriots games in five degree windchill and it was absolutely brutal. It's definitely not for everyone. Overall I feel like Robert Kraft, the owner, has done a very good job in replacing what used to be a terrible, terrible stadium and replacing it with this magnificent stadium. He's also build around it, adding a Hall of Fame dedicated to the Patriots franchise and some stores, restaurants and even a movie theater. That whole area has been revamped and it's for the best really as his vision and the work that has been done there is fantastic. read more

Sunday, December 13th, 2009. The day I made my first...and definitely not last...visit to Gillette Stadium, to watch the New England Patriots take on the Carolina Panthers. As my friend and I got closer, and the familiar "lighthouse" at the end of the stadium came into view, I knew I was home. The pinnacle of my trip to New England. Despite the crush of cars, we got into the stadium lot quickly. Only negative was the $40 parking fee - ouch! I know you've got to pay for Tom Brady's salary Mr. Kraft, but man, help a fan out. Whatever, it's worth it to me. Lot attendants guide you to open spots, helping the onslaught of Pats, and scattered Panthers fans (boooo) get squared away. Very efficient. And even though we arrived early, there were still lots of people set up and tailgating. NE fans don't mess around. Since we had a few hours to go until the gates opened and kickoff, we checked out the Pats' Pro Shop. I thought I heard angels singing when I walked in. The place is huge, with just about any piece of merch a football fan could ever want, ranging from Patriots shot glasses, to jerseys, to Randy Moss masks. Yeah, I did a double-take on the Moss masks too; I love #81, but I don't want to wear a mask of him that looks more appropriate for knocking over a BofA than rooting for the team. They weren't very flattering. I ended up buying a Jerod Mayo #51 home jersey w/ Patriots 50th Anniversary Patch (same ones they're wearing this season), a couple of Patriots travel mugs, and a sweet Patriots varsity-style wool jacket. Stylin'. When the gates opened, a quick patdown by security and ticket check got us into the stadium at lightning speed. The place is huge, but laid out very well. The concessions are laid out on wide, covered concourses, making it pretty easy to grab a beer, sausage, chowdah, or whatever else you're in the mood for. Restrooms were fairly spacious and clean too, all things considered. And even though we were on an upper tier, the seats we had were great, with great sightlines of the field and scoreboards. Overall, no complaints whatsover. One of the best stadiums I've been to so far, with the only drawback being the crush when you're trying to leave. Quick tip - after a game, go grab a bite to eat at the adjacent Patriots Place to kill some time and allow the lots to empty. Still, it's looking like I'll be making an annual pilgrimage to Gillette to root for the Pats. And coach B, if you ever need someone to fill in at nose tackle or fullback, give me a call. While visiting my family in Mass, they offered to take me to a beautiful September New England Patriots vs. Tampa Bay home game at Gillette Stadium. I'd never been before, so my anticipation was through the roof, since I grew up in a Pats household. You get into the Gillette complex and immediately realize that this is way more than a football stadium. There's a huge shopping mall, movie theater, restaurants and clubs. It was like nothing I've ever seen. The stadium itself is really impressive in design, it got the blood pumping through my veins for sure! One of the key components to a Patriots home game is the level of tailgating that takes place in the parking lot. I was really entertained with how 'enthusiastic' these fans get with their tailgating; you could feel the energy building as kick-off approached. About 30-40 min before the game started, my family highly encouraged we start towards the stadium; with the Boston Marathon tragedy, security and bag-check has upped its thoroughness, thus taking almost three-times as long. Multiply that by tens of thousands of people and you have a major fan-jam on your hands. We were sitting pretty high up - facing the parking lot - there must have been 15,000 people still trying to get in after the game kicked-off. Food and drink options are pretty standard; there are some great craft beer stands that have the usual Sam Adams and other East Coast breweries - that was my stop for the game. Prices are what is to be expected. Overall, I had a fantastic time at Gillette. Legend has it that the weather gets extremely cold come November/December, and depending on where you are sitting, can be like sitting in a winter wind-tunnel. These fans can also get pretty rowdy during a Patriots game. Consider yourself warned. I hope I can make it back soon for another game, it was a lot of fun. Go Pats! read more

This now makes my 5th NFL stadium I have visited and I plan to continue to visit as many as I can. NFL stadiums, more so than any art museum or historical landmark, give you a folk (and I would argue more accurate) version of the sociological underpinnings of any given community. The actions on the field aside, this aspect alone is fascinating, at least to me. I was in Boston on business and was treated to a Thursday Night Football matchup between the Pats and Fins. I had an absolute blast! As it was explained to me, Foxboro itself used to be a cow pasture prior to the Patriots and the stadium coming to town. Indeed it is really just a small town with a small population that for whatever reason (likely low real estate costs) became host to one of the greatest, and often most despised, NFL franchises in the history of the league. Traffic on the way into the stadium was about as awful as you are probably imagining. The number of season ticket holders at Gillette is astounding. They sell "standing room only" tickets to every game. The support the club receives from Boston and New England in general is massive. Then again, it is easy to have a dedicated fan base when your team is consistently successful. Fortunately, the gentleman that brought me had a close friend that lives in Foxboro not far from the stadium. After parking in his front yard and doing some pre-game necessities, we headed down a long stretch of train tracks for about 3/4 of a mile with Gillette slowly becoming visible over the trees. The excitement was starting to build. The stadium is relatively new by NFL standards, and is well designed and laid out. That said, there is still a very obvious ode to the history of the franchise throughout which gives it that homely feel. The whole "there is not bad seat in the house" is an overused cliche in describing stadiums and arenas, but the designers really do seem to have done there best to bring this ideal to fruition. Also directly accessible from the stadium is a huge outdoor shopping mall called "Patriot Place" which is awash with high end retail and restaurants. It is a bit on the gratuitous side honestly, but who am I to stand in the way of commerce opportunism? I intentionally neglected eating an early dinner prior to showing up so I could check out some of the food and drinks served inside. The medium rare steak sandwich I had from a place called the Lighthouse Grill, located behind the end zone closest to Patriot Place, was shockingly delicious and served on fresh ciabatta bread. As you might expect, food and beer is marked up to the point to make even airport food seem reasonable but that should not come as a huge surprise to anyone. After you take your seat and the game commences, the fans here quickly get into the zone. You will hear the typical "good for a First Down" chant you notice at any stadium, and the crowd naturally goes bonkers for sacks and scores, but I did not notice anything unique as far as crowd chants. One thing you will notice after about the first quarter (hell even before the game starts) is the rather large volume of HIGHLY intoxicated people. Granted you will find this to some degree at any NFL game, but the numbers here are far greater. I enjoy dealing with people who are plastered personally, it's about like being a referee at a Special Olympics competition, but it is probably not to every taste. As for the game itself, the Pats utterly destroyed the Dolphins to the point of embarrassing them. The jubilant nature in the air was infectious. I got more hugs and high-fives from random strangers than I ever have in my life. Lambeau Field in Green Bay is still my favorite stadium I have visited thus far. However, if I lived in Boston I have little doubt Gillette would quickly become a second home for me on game day. Went for the Pats vs. Bengals game and had a blast. I think it was more because we had a great group and a designated driver! The only positive change I saw is that they will finally allow the "common folk" to purchase a real mixed drink in the Cross pavilion - which we took advantage of a few times throughout the course of the game. The bar tenders here were decent but WAY slow - I know plenty of great bar tenders who can sling drinks Ike champs who would love to have that constant customer volume - step it up people or get a different job! Yes, we won't miss anything since they have TV's everywhere but I would rather be in my seat than waiting in line listening to people bitch about how long it's taking! The one time my mood went sour all day was when some old guy behind me - decided to tap me on the shoulder sometime in the 2nd quarter and let me know that "smoking is not allowed" - I quickly showed him that it was an E-cig while he said - those are banned too!! Hmmm.....you REALLY don't go there with me buddy - if I could walk up the stairs to the ramp and have a REAL cigarette like in years past - I would gladly!, in a heartbeat! But since the stadium decided to shaft it's smoking clientele - I was puffing on a BLU E-cig! You are really going to bust my chops about vapor?!...that I don't even like - but am using to keep my nicotine levels in check!!!??? And NOT bitch slap people who can not mind their own business and let me enjoy my day?!!! Luckily, I decided to just ignore him...not sure if he tried to dime me out to security or not - but no one ever came down to the seats and said anything - so, I think the old guy was the one "blowing smoke". I really hope that nonsense isn't true!! All in all, an overpriced day - but gorgeous weather, the Patriots winning and good friends - made for a great time that none of us will soon forget!! P.S. I would love to give Gillette 5 stars for being the home of our New England Patriots, and being an awesome one at that, but unfortunately there are a few things holding me back: 1) Difficult to get to... it is in the middle of nowhere in Foxboro, with a lot of traffic going to and from the game. Attending the game is really a daylong commitment, give the time taken to get in and out of Gillette. 2) Parking is expensive... and you have no choice but to drive there given that it is in the middle of nowhere.. and it keeps going up. I go to a game a year and I swear the price to park goes up each time I go there. 3) No giveaways. All the other games I've attended have had some sort of sponsored giveaway.. a beanie (Denver), a cap (Nashville), your digital photo on a lanyard (Nashville and Denver), pompoms (San Diego), etc. That being said, this is a gorgeous, clean, well maintained stadium with a great sound system. I like the addition of Patriot Place where you can grab a bite before or after the game. Love the food, especially the clam chowder. No healthy options, but I've get to find that at any stadium. At least the junk food is good :P I also love that even though it's not cheap to go to a game, you find real fans stands, not people who were floated tickets from a corporation and don't care about the game (ahem any sports game in Los Angeles). It's all about the camaraderie, which is better in New England than anywhere else. Go Pats! read more

With a state of the art Urgent care center, a movie theater, interesting venues, and a really great layout. Summers are filled with car shows, and winter offers ice skating rink! Came to Gillete Stadium the first season it has open. I'm sure this place is now five stars with the addition of Patriot Place and its surroundings added to the venue. The structure is just spectacular no matter where in the stadium you are sitting. It blows the old stadium away. The tailgating is superb. The food inside of the stadium is on point and the walkways are spacious. It is definitely up to date and kudos to Mr. Kraft on co-signing on this place. No mass transportation. Car or die. I'd like this place a lot better if it were an enclosed dome and I didn't have to suffer through zero-degree-with-win-chill temps when we went for the last game of the season. My lord does it get cold. So cold that our beers were freezing. The plus side though is that your beer never gets warm and you feel great pressure to drink it quickly. Speaking of beer, I appreciated that they had Sam Adams Baltic Porter and a number of regional microbrewery offerings on tap around the stadium, although you have to hunt them down and will pay an arm and a leg for whatever you drink. Oh well, at least I didn't pay for my tickets. The food options are pretty good compared to some of the stadiums I've been to; I'd recommend the chicken wings and the pulled pork sandwich. But good luck enjoying them when it's freezing out. Overall, it's a cool stadium and it's cool to see people throwing up snow after a score when the seats are full of said precipitation, but the prices for admission and for food and drink, along with the ridiculous crowds/lines at the booths and in the bathrooms make this stadium the type of place you only want to (or can only afford to) visit once a decade. Oh, and the parking situation is absurd. My advice, park far, far away at someone's house and walk that long walk, otherwise, you'll spend an eternity stuck in traffic. read more

Ok, I may be partial. This is home base for my beloved team and I've been to many games, as well as concerts at Gillette Stadium through the years. The things I hate: high parking fees, the long, steep, winding and neverending ramps to get up to the 300s, astronomical prices for drink and food (to be expected tho, just wish they'd come down), lines and people (also to be expected), the horrendous traffic leaving (the worst ever). The things I love: the tailgating scene is the best around (we Pats fans do it up), the excitement that fills the stadium and envelops you, no matter what you're there for you can't help but get caught up in it, the many options for food and drink, haven't had a bad seat yet altho I don't exactly prefer the high sections for concerts, but don't mind them so much during game day, and lastly of course, The Patriots (the best ever). read more

We saw Springsteen here this past weekend. Great venue to see a show, so much better than the old stadium... He sounded amazing... They've added more parking on the opposite side of RT 1, which is great, we were able to park directly across from the stadium ($40.00, BUT people who parked a mile PLUS away paid $35...) We expected to sit in traffic "Tweeter Center" style after the event (HOURS), but much to my surprise, we were out of the show at 12:10 (rain delay) and on the road by 12:25. I was impressed. Not so impressive? $7.50 BUD LITES ~ugg!~ and TEN DOLLAR Coronas... Ten dollars. I'm not even kidding... I saw a sign for Patron Margaritas, I'm guessing they were at least $15.00. YIKES!! read more

Ok. The star rating is based 100% on my parking experience. We had VIP Parking for Lot 6 (Putnam Club Parking). The tag for the car had directions printed on it, as did the envelope for our tickets. HOWEVER, none of these accounted for a) traffic b) wrong turns c) closed roads d) traffic cones, etc, and there was NO ADDRESS PRINTED anywhere on them to put into your GPS. Now, we're reasonably intelligent adults, so we decided to just go with the flow and follow traffic. We quickly found signs pointing to Lot P6 and, although we were confused as to why it was labelled "Retail Parking", we followed along nonetheless. Twice we tried to flag down traffic cops to ask if we were going the right way, and they told us to move along. Still following the signs for P6, we found ourselves in a major traffic jam. Since there was a traffic attendant standing around doing nothing, I got out of the car and asked him for help. It turns out Lot P6 and Lot 6 are NOT THE SAME THING and we had to go 3/4 of the way around the stadium to get into our lot. Directly in front of us was the road we needed, except it was blocked by cones and we were supposed to travel about 4 car lengths to turn the wrong way onto the road (4 car lengths = ~20 minutes). I hopped out, moved the cone, got yelled at, and we were waved through. We found the correct lot minutes later. Why, why, why, why in this day and age do you not have an address to type into the GPS? I tried Googling 'Putnam Parking Lot' to find an address, to no avail. I honestly think the reason is because people are SO frustrated with being lost that they'll pay the $20, $30, $50 to park in a generic lot rather than put the effort into finding their free VIP parking lot. Our tickets were for the Putnam Club, which was gorgeous. We had the perfect view of the game, spacious and comfortable (albeit slightly beat up) seats, friendly neighbors, and delicious food! $12 for a 16-oz Sam Summer is a bit of a stretch but $15 for a swordfish sandwich with fries was a stadium steal. read more

Everything you expect from a new stadium - clean, great food choices, huge bathrooms, and plenty of beer stands throughout the stadium. I have been to about 1/2 dozen games now and I always seem to get crappy weather. Can't control that, we live in New England. Also, it doesn't seem to get very loud in the stadium. Maybe the open end zones? I have been to Pittsburgh for a few games and that place literally shakes. Why not 5 stars? The traffic getting to and out of the stadium is an absolute goat screw. Although $40 isn't too bad for parking (Lot 7 - right there at Patriot Place), maybe sell prepaid parking like they do at some stadiums. read more

I hate going here, mainly because I'm a Ravens fans, which means I have to deal with the unfriendly Pats fans. Still, I can't knock the stadium. I've sat in the lower level and in the 200 mezzanine section and was happy with both experiences. I can't understand for the life of me why they have so many 'non-alcoholic' sections, much less why the have non-alcoholic sections in the first place. For what it's worth, I found tickets to be a little cheaper in these sections, and several people around me were drinking anyway. Another thing I noticed was how many seats they could be filling, but aren't filling because of the giant pillar/players' entrance at one end of the stadium. That empty section would make for lots of good seats in the corner end zone. Instead, Gillette Stadium can only pack in a little under 70,000 fans, and is losing out on a lot of money as a result. read more

Entering hostile territory is always a risky proposition, but when you are a Jets fan dressed in green for the 2011 AFC Divisional playoff you really have to check your head! That was me on a cold afternoon in January with a 4 hour drive by myself from New York City, and i loved every second of it. In all honesty, Gillette Stadium is awesome, it's in the middle of nowhere with one road in and one road out. The sightlines in the lower level are great and the open air feel created by the lighthouse in one endzone is a nice touch Patriot place is a cool shopping center connected to the stadium, with bars, restaurants, a Qdoba, general shops and more. Patriot place is not inside the stadium so you have to check it out before you go in. The food inside Gillette is great, all the best seafood you would expect from a place up in New England (clam chowder, clam strips, love it all!) I'm not going to say a thing about the fans because i want to give this stadium it's proper due. All i'll say is the Jets won that game ;) The only major issue is the parking. As i said it's a "one way in and one way out" place and getting out is an utter nightmare. If you do not run to your car before the final whistle you will sit in the lot with little movement for at least an hour. Once you get to the main road you will move just fine. No matter who you root for, i highly suggest paying a visit to Gillette stadium. Mr. Kraft has a fine facility that every football fan should experience. read more

Before this past Sunday I had seen a few concerts here, the Revolution and World Cup Soccer here but never a Patriot's game. The stadium itself is massive and spectacular to say the least. The staff is all very friendly and the atmosphere is awesome. I was lucky enough for the Patriot's game to have seats with access to the Fidelity Box which in the snowy, cold day that it was made the experience wonderful instead of miserable which if we had to sit outside I am pretty certain I would have melted. The view from the Fidelity Box is spectacular and the whole box is filled with bars, tvs and concession stands not to mention really comfortable chairs and couches. They have 2 huge projection screens inside as well as small screens located throughout. The food and drinks are expensive so we opted to have lunch at the Olive Garden on the Patriot Place property before hand and got nachos and coffee while inside the stadium. All in all a great experience and one not to miss if you have the opportunity. read more

Home of the New England Patriots and one awesome stadium. My bro and I had tons of fun at the Pats vs Dolphins game with plenty of options for sustenance including the usual fare (hot dogs, burgers, nachos, etc.) plus extras like Skipjack's clam chowder and bratwurst. If you look around, there are some great craft brew stands serving up some of Berkshire Brewing Company's seasonal beers amongst others. Patriot Place is right next door to hang out in case you don't feel like tailgating or want to let the traffic die down a bit post-game before leaving. On that note, the traffic is indeed pretty horrendous as there's only one way in and out. With that in mind, plan accordingly as best you can...or just do what I did and kick back with some beer and catch highlights while everyone else slowly clears out =D read more

Gillette Stadium (and Robert Kraft) are gigantic piles of steaming shit. I'll explain why. I went to a recent New England Patriots football game and realized the following: 1. Alcoholics use a football game as an excuse to drink heavily. That's fine if they do that on their time and DON'T FUCKING SPILL AN ENTIRE CUP OF BEER ON MY WIFE. Which they did. And when I told the usher in my section that I had seen this guy drink 7 (yes, 7) beers in one quarter, and he was probably too drunk to be at the game... the usher told me "it's fine." Now I get it - it just means more money for Bob Kraft when this drunk buys more beer. 2. The week after the game, I called Gillette Stadium to let them know my seat location and described the usher to them. I was told that I would receive a call back from Gillette customer service within 48 hours. It's been over 6 weeks. Still waiting on that call. 3. Bob Kraft built this stadium in the middle of nowhere so that he could charge exorbitant rates for parking, and everyone is stuck paying it because he won't subsidize public transportation options (who wants to take the MBTA train that runs 2 hours before kickoff???). So there you go Bob. I'm watching my games on Sunday in the comfort of my man-cave with a $1 bottle of Heineken, instead of the $12.75 you charge, and don't have to deal with drunk assholes who your staff are trained to over-serve alcoholics so that you can continue to profit. read more

Gillette Stadium is a blast to watch Patriots games at! The crowd is always pumped and the players know how to get the crowd going. It is also always a blast to tailgate outside of the stadium or getting a few drinks locally before the game. The downside to this stadium is the overpriced drinks and traffic, but overall it is a blast to spend time here. read more

I went to a Patriots game here this past Sunday and it was the first time I have ever been to Gillette Stadium. I had seen the Pats play previously just one time, but that was over 18 years ago, eeks! I feel the traffic on the way in was managed the best it could have been, and the parking was very organized and efficient (albeit expensive...$40 ON TOP OF the regular ticket price, holy crap!). The entry into the stadium was not managed well, however. There were a ton of people trying to squeeze into a line where maybe 3 stations were letting people through. There were like 10 stations set up with metal detectors but only 3 were in use, and this was literally 45 minutes before the game. It was vastly understaffed. It took me almost 40 minutes to get inside and I almost missed kick off (literally walked up the stairs as the national anthem was being performed). There needs to be better staffing for admission into the stadium for sure, that was just ridiculous for an NFL football game. The stadium itself is beautiful, there really isn't a bad seat there. I sat in section 202 for this game, and I had a great view of the entire game. The drink prices are pretty on par with what you'd expect to pay at any sporting event, mayyyyybe a tad more expensive ($10-12 for a tall beer), and the food is outrageously priced for what you get (I didn't order anything for this very reason). The experience overall was a good one, I learned some things, and I will be better prepared for when I visit for the next game in 2 weeks. Make sure you have more staff at the admission gate next time, Gillette! read more
