My complaint has nothing too do with them but whoever is suppose too be cleaning the inside of the the building . It looks like it hadn't been cleaned in months & months . There's ton of dust everywhere. The table top was so filthy & dusty I could not even set my things on it . Under the long coffee table there was some old food crumbs . Went back to Gillman Mitsubishi, a few days ago. Traded-in my wife's 2020 Outlander LE for a 2024 Outlander SE. This is our 3rd Mitsubishi new vehicle. Got a good price. Unlike other Mitsubishi dealers, the prices quoted are actual. No discrepancies. No misleading come-ons. Worked with salesman, Raul, and manager, E Jaramillo. Took vehicle for a ride. Very nice. Smooth. Quiet. Very roomy (larger than previous Outlander). Heavier sturdier 'feel' to this vehicle. Engine is definitely more powerful. Impressive. Sharp appearance. Excellent paint color. Very sleek looking, while still offering a 'truck' type appeal. Inside and out, finished very well. Dashboard is all electronic. Many numerous features. Nice upholstery. Feels rather luxurious inside. No cheap feeling plastic. No rattling. No vibrations. Bose sound system! Personally, I've never been a Bose follower. But, I have to say, this premium audio system sounds very good. Clear detailed treble. Very clean sound all around. Quite loud. 9-inch screen coupled to an external amplifier and a total of ten (10) speakers, including a rear subwoofer. The sonic quality is quite good for a factory installed system. My wife did not expect to be impressed with the audio, but, she hears a noticeable improvement and she now jams lol. Great warranty. 5 yr basic plus another 5 yr powertrain. But, also included is 3 yrs of FREE service! Oil changes. Tire rotations. In-cabin air filter. Plus quality inspections, all at no-charge and no worries for three whole years. That's music to my ears. But, service is only as good as the dealer's service dept. The service dept at Gillman is well above par for any dealer. We have purchased many vehicles in our lifetimes. Gillman's service is refreshingly honest. No upsell or pushing unnecessary services. The service supervisor (John?, bearded guy), knows everything about any of our vehicles and he will take the time to explain any function, service or issue. To have an honest vehicle service garage is hard to beat. It is nice to not be apprehensive or suspect when the mechanic examines one's vehicle. So, this is our third, but probably not our last vehicle from Gillman. Kudos to Mitsubishi. We love the redesigned Outlander. Improved in every possible way. read more

Came for a recall on my outlander, everything went smoothly from scheduling the appointment to getting the service done! I started with the online chat to request an appointment, they quickly connected me to a service rep who was so friendly and easy to speak with. I arrived to my appointment and was taken care of very well, most importantly I was out of there in 45 minutes! Unlike other dealerships, was no pressure to sell me another vehicle while I waited for my own, everyone was friendly, it was the first time I had a "good time" at a dealership ever! The sales manager who took care of me, Mike Rouch, helped to guide me to the perfect vehicle and I drove off 100% satisfied. The entire process, start to finish was perfection! I've written another review on Gillman Chevrolet Buick and I've concluded that the hiring and sales practices at the Gillman family of dealerships are second to none. I have never been lied to or treated with such disrespect, it's disgusting. I wasn't looking to purchase a new car until the end of the year because I still have to pay off my current car which I am giving to my mother as a gift. A salesperson that I met off the lot couldn't wait and was trying to make something happen. The saleswoman was trying to run my credit way to soon before we even agreed on final numbers. After agreeing to the final numbers in writing and double checking, I finally agreed to give her my credit my info. She told to me to come pick up the car after work and to sign some more paperwork. When I arrived, they ADDED another $5,000.00 to the PRICE. When I told her that this was wrong, she tried to tell me that I didn't understand or I was confused about the deal. After calling her out on that BS, she admitted that she misunderstood her GM Bob and that this was the new deal. She apologized but kept trying to close the deal with no hesitation. I was upset because I would have never given my credit information or pursue the vehicle for that price. It was a HARD inquiry on my credit, lowering my score 15-17 points and it was all for nothing. The worst part was her Manager ROBERT BORDIERI tried to tell me I misunderstood and that running my credit would not affect my score at all. He told me that it's only a soft inquiry that only stays on your credit for 2 and a half months... WOW! So either he lies so much with great ease or he's an idiot who's somehow became a manager at a car dealership. I called their corporate office and Debbie the assistant to the executives was very short with me and quick to put the blame on me on the 1st phone call. She didn't even remember me on the 2nd phone call. I asked to speak or get the contact info for one of the executives and she would not give me anything. All she said is that they will call me in a day or two. It's been two weeks since the last call... All I got was call from the GM Bob apologizing for the Manager's incorrect comments about credit and how we could close a deal. All in all, this company and dealership have shown NO PROFESSIONALISM, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, NO RESPONSIBILITY, NO INTEGRITY AND NO HONOR. What is sad is that they probably take advantage of so many folks who don't know any better so they will just keep on going treating good people like nothing. So whether if you're a 1st time buyer or it's your 5th car, don't go to GILLMAN. I shared my nightmare experience with a couple of friends and not to my surprise, they also had a bad experience at GILLMAN. BUYER BEWARE. Do you own or a third party inspection on any vehicle you want to purchase because they won't guarantee anything unless it's a manufacturer warranty. The car I bought unknowingly had tires where one was leaking and the rest were so worn they wouldn't even pass inspection (the car only had 30k miles). Within a month after purchasing, I had to buy 4 new tires. I complained to them and all they said was they couldn't help. The only good thing they have going for them is that they're friendly (but they won't return your phone calls for days). read more

While sitting at roger Beasley Mitsubishi in Austin I was amazed at their lack of knowledge or interest in selling me a car. A day of research and I immediately felt I knew more than them and it was frustrating that the salesperson had to constantly Google and check with their manager. No big deal, I already knew what I wanted and had researched the prices to pay. Sadly roger Beasley treated me like an idiot when I showed them a truecar offer from gillman just 60miles away. Gillman was 15% lower, almost $2000 less for the same car. When roger Beasley suggested that gillman/truecar were being untruthful I hit the 'contact me' button on truecar and my phone immediately rang. While I missed the call a text message from Mike, gillman internet sales guy, confirmed that they had the exact car in stock and would honor the price. Showing that to the sales lady (Virginia) had her immediately taking a different tone, no longer accusing gillman of being deceitful but confirming that they likely had a bigger inventory and she was pricing me a model with features I specifically noted i wasn't interested in. It's hard to recover from that, no apology or acknowledgement that she had been less than forthright. I left the dealership and spoke to Mike on the phone. He offered to take my info and have the paperwork ready for my arrival in an hour. I choose to drive down the following day but I couldn't have been happier with the process. I was in and out within an hour. When they couldn't get the interest rate I wanted their finance guy (Nick) even pointed me to a credit union that could get that rate (which wouldn't benefit them). The whole process with gillman was ideal, low pressure, exceptionally responsive and gave me a fantastic price without haggling or trying to tack on a bunch of unnecessary charges. read more

Valentino whose phone I will not post here tried "bait & switch" on us yesterday: I called Gillman about a nicely priced car about 12:45pm and asked if still available. Valentino said yes the car was available and call him when we get there. I took off from work for the afternoon and we drove from South Austin to their location, it took us less than an hour and we were there by 1:35pm and as Valentino wanted, I called him right before we arrived. Guess what Valentino said: "that car was just sold but I have others you will be interested in..." What a BS!!! Shame on Gillman: This happened yesterday and a day after, the "bait" car is still on their website for sale. I suppose this bait'n'switch is a common business practice for Gillman Hearing that doo doo, we have not even stopped there. There are many dealers along I35 and we decided to stop by them one by one. Twist of faith I guess, we found a nice car within our budget at a direct competitor's of Gillman and bought it on the spot for $9,800 cash. Tim Gantner played the role of Mr. Buddy-Buddy Nice Guy, while the mysterious financier (read; Mr. Evil Guy) danced with his calculator in another cube. I got fed up and left after they sat on my car keys for nearly two hours and 30 second answers were taking exponentially longer. I also had to sit an listen while one of the sales managers lectured an employee about promptly responding to customers, while the customer was waiting somewhere in the building. Had a good visit. I needed a oil change for my Mitsubishi. Upon arrival I entered the wring place twice and then directed to the far end of the lot to be serviced by Mitsubishi. I also had a promo coupon for $29.99 + tax. service for oil change and filter change. And a tire rotation and 25 point check. Not bad for a grand total of $38.00. I was told it would be an hour to an hour and a half. Three service associates checked up on our group to see of we wanted anything or needed a ride to the forum for lunch. I was impressed. And they had a TV that was tuned to the home improvement network. Saw at least 5 entertaining episodes. So glade it wasn't tuned to the news or some day time show. Very impressed with my visit since the coupon is good until September 2014 I'll be back in my next oil change. Very happy overall. I wouldn't recommend buying a used car from Gillman. I called to ask questions about the purchase process before making the hour drive from Austin to Selma to test drive the car. Josh, a salesman was who I spoke to assured me that they do not haggle with the price but that the internet price was the best price available. I couldn't find anything on the website that supported the no haggle price. Once I arrived at the dealership, Josh was busy with another customer. I was given a sales guy that was kind but it was his third day on the job and could not answer most of my questions. Thus I mainly dealt with the sales manager, Robert. I was shocked to find out that there was a $997 fee that was added to internet price of all vehicles listed. I explained that Josh did not disclose this over the phone and I was told I needed to ask the specific question of what is the "final out the door price" in order to get the actual price. I found this highly unethical and refused to pay the higher price. Robert disclosed that services (tinting, fabric protectant, etc) were considered mandatory and were already completed on the car. However, they had not yet been done and are just a way to gauge the customer in the negotiation process. To add insult to injury the GM, Sergio Guerra, has written a sign in each of the sales rooms that says they do not play pricing games. Ha! I had Mike from Lemon Busters come out to inspect the car and was quite glad I did. The car had been in two accidents that were not reported on the Car Fax. Not a problem, not all are. When I told Robert about it, he responded with a shrug and said, they didn't happen according to Carfax. All you had to do do to find evidence of the body damage was look under the hood and look at the alignment of the external body of the car. I was disappointed by his response and refusal to acknowledge the damage simply because it wasn't on Carfax. I wasn't asking for a lower price for it. It was superficial damage and it was fixed, so I was fine with it, but his lack of professionalism was embarrassing. Here's where I did have a problem. My third party inspection found warped brakes and tires needing alignment and Robert said the car's sales price did not warrant these fixes. When I mentioned that the brakes were a safety issue, he started to insult the integrity of the Lemon Buster's inspector rather than address the actual issue. I would not recommend buying from Gillman because of the array of ethical issues and lack of professionalism across the board. The only redeeming experience of purchasing a car at Gillman was the Accessory Sales person, Yvette Alva was patient, kind and not at all pushy. She made borrowing a loaner while the windows were tinted easy to schedule. She stood out as a distinct gem amongst her team. read more

Attempting to negotiate a new car purchase electronically was a bit challenging; but between the distance between my house and the lot, and the COVID-19 circumstances, it seemed the better choice. I will NEVER work with these guys ever again. First off they ( Jimmy and Josh) were rude to me the min I told them I did not want to look at the car first that I wanted to see finance first. From there it went down hill. I was trying to purchase an $8,992 vehicle with $4,000 down. They (Jason) wanted to put my payments at $215 a month for 60 months with an 4 point something APR. That doesn't even add up. Then when I test drove I noticed the locks and under the hood needed to be fixed. They (Jimmy) were rude about that. I saw a older Mercedes 190D on Craigslist which linked to their dealership. I have bought a car from there before. I contacted them via their website. I got a call 3 or 4 days later from the Internet Sales manager. I proceeded to call him back within the hour and never heard back from him. I finally called the dealership 10 days later and was told that that car went straight to auction. If the car went straight to auction, why do you still have as Craigslist ad out for it? The guy told me that there are times where a car will be so old that it will go straight to auction and they will not even inspect it. The guy I spoke with in pre owned sales did not bother to take any of my information down or anything. A week later and this is about 3 weeks after I originally inquired about the Mercedes, I get a call from the Internet Sales manager who was "returning" my call. He fed me some line about how he would call me and it would never go through. Excuse me, I use my phone for work. if you attempted to call me, I would know. There is no need to come out and lie about you trying to reach me. I spoke with him for a few minutes telling him I was looking for a diesel I could pay cash for. You could tell he is not even listening to a word I was telling him. He tells me he has an older car that is a good on gas that I could buy. When I ask him Gas or Diesel, he tells me "Gas". He recaps what I am looking for, "Ok, you want a diesel car under $20K?" NO, I wanted a car I can pay cash for under $3K. He tells me he will "keep an eye out". I seriously doubt I will ever hear from him again. They do have my contact information from my original inquiry, so I am getting generic emails from they about coming in to buy a new car. The Internet Sales Manager gets an "F" for follow through. He needs to clean his ears out and pay attention to what a customer is looking for. I am not interested in fast talk and bs. 1st Time Buyers BEWARE!! My wife and I had the best experience at Gillman Mitsubishi. From the moment I walked in the door - I was greeted by a friendly face. Also, their waiting area is air-conditioned and super comfortable (might not seem like a big deal, but to me it is. Especially in TX during the summer. Shows that they care about the little things). We have 2 little girls (7month & 1.5yr old) and only one car. We wanted to upgrade to something bigger, affordable, and gets great mileage. Bob Hasbrouck - the GM - took amazing care of us as did his team! He helped us find the perfect car that not only matched our budget and expectations, but exceeded them. Lloyd, sales manager, helped us get a phenomenal rate. Storm made us feel like we were the most important people there. . . truly provided the white glove service, made us feel comfortable when we did a demo and took a car for a test drive and was super professional the entire time. Yvette was awesome - she didn't try and talk us into a bunch of unnecessary changes and add-ons to the car. Didn't make us feel guilty at all for not buying more. She made us feel very comfortable and was excited for us getting our new car!! KT (their business manager) helped us through the final stages of signing everything. He took the time to explain everything clearly and made it really personal. He understood how big of a step this was for us as a family, appreciated our time, and honestly I couldn't have asked for a better way to end the whole experience. I've had a few of their team already personally call us just to check-in and follow up to see how we were doing with our new car. They weren't trying to sell us anything - simply seeing how we were doing and if there was anything at all they could do to help. So as I mentioned before, 1st time buyers BEWARE! I'm giving them 1 star and this is being generous. I purchase a car from Gillman's sales (Storm) associate 2 years ago. Shortly after purchasing I called the sales associate to let him know I was being shocked every time I get out of my car. He said it's probably because the air is dry near the car. So I let it go. Today I got to work and thought it was weird that my car wouldn't lock (the car never sounded) I checked the doors and they were all locked. I tried to unlock the door manually and the door wouldn't unlock manually. My husband came by and tried his key and it works just fine except. The door wont unlock manually. So I called the Mitsubishi dealer close to me and they say call the dealership I purchased it from because keys aren't covered under the warranty. So after my husband sat on hold/transferred for 20 min. I called only to be told that someone probably tried to steal my car, or jimmy the lock and there isn't anything the dealership could do because they aren't close to me. I was given the roadside service # and told to contact them. The roadside assistance will take it to the nearest dealer. I haven't not been satisfied with my vehicle since I purchased it. And to be told over the phone by one dealer it's not their problem but they will re-key my car for $350. And then to be told by Gillman that the other place can handle it. I feel like they are passing the buck and I as the consumer will get the short stick. And to top it off the roadside assistance is no answering. This is a joke. Poor experience in their service department. After purchasing our car new in 2003, we never had many issues beyond oil changes, brakes, tires, etc. So, at 8 years and 60,000 miles the check engine light came on. We took it to Gillman Mitsubishi and they checked it out. The next day, they called and said that the code was for the catalytic converter, and it needed to be replaced. I told them I would call them back. I looked up the warranty and found that the federal mandated warranty for catalytic converters is 8 years or 80,000 miles. Being that it was so far under the 80,000 miles and only a couple months past the 8 year mark, I called Mitsubishi corporate to see if they could help. They took two days to tell me that it would be up to the district manager. Apparently, the district manager decided that they could not do anything to assist with the issue. I then had to pay their $50 diagnostic fee while receiving a smarta** attitude from their staff. That will be the last dollar Mitsubishi or Gillman EVER get from me. In fact, I will go out of my way to let EVERYONE know about their poor service. read more

He introduced us to Steve, who took us on a couple of test drives and then the decision was made to make my third purchase of a Mitsubishi. The next day I came in to finish the paperwork good thing I looked because they did NOT, they offered to make up the mistake by replacing the discount with a free tank of gas. Okay, cool, whatever then something happened with the bank had the car financed through so about 3 weeks after me purchasing & driving off with the car they were calling and texting me. At the time I had my daughter in the bath so I asked for them to call back in an hour. The man on the phone proceeds to yell at me telling me I better call him back because it's his car & he's going to call the police and I better not act like this is an inconvenience because it's his car and then hangs up in my face... After being put on hold for 15 minutes with the Mitsubishi service department, I was hung up on. I called back, and was transferred. Apparently no one picked up as the call came back to the operator who sent me back to the hold queue. So my experience started out by finding a 2006 WRX on autotrader.com for basically 10k. So I went to their website to make sure then had it. Found it there so I gave them a call and set up an appointment to see it at 7pm that evening. Talked to they salesman Jim to set it up and then when I left Austin, just to let him know I would be 10 min late. So after my 1hr and a half to get there me and my wife wait around for 20 min to see him. And that's fine. But when he takes me to see the car he didn't bring the keys... so I asked if he could get them because I wanted to test drive it and look at the engine. So he told me he would grab them and be back in just a min. So I inspect the outside of the car which had some damage and missing trim that they didn't tell me about. The inside of the car HAD NOT been cleaned. Had half filled coke bottles and Wendy's just all over the car. Which at point my wife was out. But I was still sold and nothing I couldn't fix as long as it ran. BUT 30 MINUTES after he said he would get they keys he wasn't back. So we wenthought and trod to find him. No one would help us locate him. So got I'm my car to leave and finally found him.... giving a test drive to another customer. So I asked him why he left us there for 30 min. And he said they didn't know where the keys were so he sent someone to tell me... BS no he did not. That car was sold but I honestly wouldn't take it for free from this dealership now. And that salesman should be fired. No way to run a business or treat your customers. read more

I sent an email to all 5 SA Mitsubishi dealerships with exacts on wanting a new, 2015 Outlander Sport cash in hand best offer ready to buy in 7 days or less. 4 of the 5 replied with the exact price (sticker) that was listed online for all to see anyway. Sticker price...really!? Mike Rauch at Gilman took me seriously...sent me a true below sticker "we want you to buy from us" price via email that cut out all of the haggle and back and forth. 2 days later we are meeting, no bait and switch or up charges, talking about his offer plus TTL. About an hour or so later the deal is done as Mike offered in his original email. I had done my research as this was the 4th car I purchased with an email only offer first before ever seeing the salesman or actual car.
