Decent pizza! I'm super basic & only eat cheese pizza here! They have a really good looking veggie pizza but I hate olives, and they have a good looking chicken alfredo pizza (that may only be available a certain day of the week, not sure) but I'm not a fan of meat on my pizza. It all looks good though. The garlic cheese bread is good. Sooo many carbs. Pizza is fairly priced $3-4 & some change per slice. It's almost always fresh & hot. The staff here are pretty nice & friendly. They keep the line moving pretty fast during rushes. You can dine in (plenty of seating) or take out. They do have a punch card loyalty program, you can earn a free slice of pizza. They run daily specials during the week. Located in the skyway, very easy to find.

As of now I'm rating this place as okay. Got a cheese slice, which was a decent size, not as big as my NY pizza, but still filling. I agree with the reviewers that it taste like (or at least very close to) NY style pizza, which I'm always going to think is the best. It had lots of cheese, the crust was crisp and the sauce definitely had the right touch of seasoning (I could taste the oregano). I also liked this place had garlic powder as an option which I don't see often at pizza joints here. With that said my pizza was extremely salty. I'm not sure if it was the pizza or the garlic "powder" which may have actually been garlic salt. I'll have to try it again without the garlic"thing". Also while there I decided to take advantage of Wing Wednesday. I got six breaded wings and for an extra $1, six more with a side of hot sauce. These were also salty and not that great. Although they had a nice kick/spice, they were greasy, the breading was coming apart and they reminded my of Tysons chicken nuggets/tenders/wings (or a lesser quality). I'll give this place another try and just do the pizza next time around. We'll see if my rating changes.

Delicious, New York style pizza. Get them to heat it up in the oven for that crispy crust! Not sure what more there is to say! Enjoy!

Buffalo Chicken Pizza (Daily Special)

I came to Ginelli's after surveying Yelpers on where to find the best NY-Style pizza in the Twin Cities. I was pleasantly surprised, but not wowed into a 5-star rating. I ordered a special slice of the day- Buffalo chicken pizza! I used to live in Buffalo, NY, so this was a special treat. They do their Buffalo pizza RIGHT. It was deliciously hot-saucy but not drippy, and the chicken was tasty. I didn't like that there was so much onion on it, tho- not necessary. The crust was delish and foldable, too. I also ordered a side salad. It was a plain ol' side salad with iceberg lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and some cheese. I don't know what it was, but it was- maybe the perfect temperature of the cooler in which it was stored- but I loved this little side salad. The lettuce was fresh and crisp and delightful. I will definitely walk across downtown for this pizza again. I can't give it 5 stars, because the pizza lacked a little je ne sais pa to be true NY style. But it comes darn close!

Pizza for breakfast... Really surprised today when the boss ordered pizza for breakfast. We had sausage, canadian bacon, eggs, cheese all on a great chewy pizza foundation. It was very filling and high protein. I have never heard of breakfast pizza before, and Ginelli's did a great job. The sausage was full of sage and fennel flavor. The Pizza dough was cooked perfectly. Nothing soggy about it! I will be back again the next time we have a morning function. No high carbohydrate doughnuts or pastries. Instead... I shall be protein packed pizza. Yasss!

The bar for New York style pizza is incredibly low in the Twin Cities so this fresh Sbarro tier by the slice earns a 3/5.

The sweet corn cakes were soft with just the right amount of sweetness, paired perfectly with the carnitas that were tender and well-seasoned. The black beans balanced everything out, and the pineapple salsa brought that bright, fresh pop that tied the whole plate together. The jerk sauce? Bold, smoky, and just the right level of heat without overpowering the dish. The atmosphere is always lively--good music, a steady brunch crowd, and that energetic weekend vibe that makes you want to linger a little longer than you planned. Staff was super sweet and attentive without being overbearing, which made the whole experience feel easy and welcoming. Definitely a go-to spot if you want brunch that's flavorful, filling, and full of personality.

The menu had some very eclectic choices. I would say pretty standrad breakfast choices with a lot of flair. I got an egg white omelet with jalapeño and buffalo cauliflower. I wasn't expecting this to be as good as it was. I was struggling between that and the caramel apple french toast, to which our server said "you can get one slice". Ok done. I'm actually really glad I only had once slice because it was so sweet. My biggest disappointment was not having a non-pork meat option (other than impossible meat), but I can look past that. The space is like being transportes to the 80s. Bright colors. Synthesizer heavy music. Just all around a fun vibe. Make a stop at The Breakfast Club today.

To drink, I treated myself to a delicious, beautifully layered tiramisu latte. Another thing I absolutely love is their grab-and-go bakery case. It is so rare and refreshing to see so many clearly labeled GF treats, like their Lemon Bars and Almond Cheesecake. We couldn't resist taking some goodies to go, so we went home with a lemon bar and one of their GF Fruity Pebbles bars. If you're looking for a delicious, incredibly gluten-free friendly brunch spot with a great atmosphere, you have to check this place out!

This time our family tried the 5th Avenue Minneapolis location right across from Twins Stadium. Quick tip, park in the garage facing the restaurant on the left side. It's an easy elevator ride up and the signage makes it simple. Matt was our server and did an outstanding job. Great service always makes a difference. Beverage options were excellent too, stuff for everyone, mimosas, specialty coffee drinks, and really solid drip coffee. The menu has a great balance of savory and sweet, so naturally we tried both. We had the breakfast sandwich with sausage, a BLT on a croissant, biscuits and gravy, pancakes with fruit, and a croissant-waffle fusion with lemon and sweet cream. Honestly, everything was delicious. What I appreciate most is the atmosphere. These restaurants just feel comfortable, welcoming, and easy to enjoy with family or friends. I'm excited they're coming to Maple Grove, but I'll still keep visiting the St. Paul, St. Louis Park, and Minneapolis locations too because I want to see our cities and local businesses thrive.
