    Weekend Brunch Menu
    Sibyl C.

So we can here as part of the October Dine the Couve. Conveniently located near our next stop for groceries we were quite hungry. We were quickly seated at a booth and discovered to our delight that there's a special weekend brunch menu. Our waitress took note that we were going to share everything and brought out each dish as they become ready so we could give each one its due attention. The 3 selections were the pork with sticky rice, followed by gojuchang chicken and ube waffles, ending with the thai tea French toast. The dishes were fabulous and there were no leftovers between the 2 of us. We are definitely coming back for the chicken and waffles and the French toast and to try some other new stuff.

We were very pleased with this spot! After seeing it on TikTok advertised as a brunch spot we decided to go. When we arrived, it felt more Thai focused than anything though on the TikTok we saw more American-ized food, I don't think that was the case in person! I was so pleased to see a beautiful Thai list of foods! *Be aware a large majority of their menu items are leveled as Spicy however I asked the waitress and she said some items can be modified to little or no spice* I opted for the Yakisoba with Shrimp. The Shrimp was huge, comes tail on so I pulled mine off. But fully deveined which, I care about. The noodles I got were beautifully moist, and PACKED with flavor. Seriously maybe my favorite Asian cuisine noodle dish I have ever had in the PNW. And I've had a LOT because Lo Mein, Chow Mein, Yakisoba are all my favorite foods. The Cream Cheese Wontons (Crab Rangoon) were also full of filling and so amazing. Can't wait to try more! The restaurant has big booth seats where one side is a booth and one side is a table/chair combo. The decor is beautiful and the walls are mostly dark which I love.

Such a nice restaurant, modern, clean and the staff is always friendly. It's one of my favorite Thai places and worth the drive from Boring Oregon. The food is always fresh and plentiful.

Great food and service here today. I'll return for more hot, spicy food soon. It may have been helpful to be here at 2 pm--really calm and relaxing.

I love that each Thai restaurant has a special dish, that separates them from all the others! What Ginger Pop offers is their delicious Thai chicken wings, they are sticky crunchy and absolutely mouth watering delicious!! Also the pad thai here is definitely better than all the rest! The unique drinks are heavenly as well!

My new favorite Thai restaurant! The atmosphere is really cool and the service is great! I had the Coconut Noodle dish which had rice noodles, chicken, vegetables ground peanuts and a delicious sauce. The lunch portions are huge! I also ordered some peanut sauce on the side, which was only $2.00! it was delicious. Next time you want Thai food come here! You'll come back again and again!

Dinner at Ginger Pop was delicious! It was a girls day of shopping for a wedding dress and we ended with dinner. Service was great, greeted and quickly seated. The place was very nicely decorated. We order appetizers, Shrimp Salad rolls and Potstickers, both very good. Main courses consisted of Teriyaki Chicken, Broccoli Beef, and Curry Chicken. All dishes were delicious, as we each took sample of each. Nice place for dinner.

    Pathetically thin wonton. Creamy Wonton

I've been going to Ginger pop for over 5 years. I love their food. The employees are nice and the restaurant is nice. But recently, they have become incredibly stingy and the food quality has really gone downhill. I always get the Garden Green Curry and I ALWAYS pay extra for "family size" and an order of the creamy wontons. For years this meant my togo order consisted of a large container of curry plus a smaller container. It would feed me for at least two days. However recently, even when I confirm I'm ordering the family size, they have only given me one large container of curry-- and it's not even full (see picture). I'm paying extra for extra curry!! Does this mean a regular serving is somehow less than even that? When I asked the server why it had changed, she said it's always been like that. That's not true. I have orders on my email going back to '21 to confirm that I've been a long time customer. The crab wontons I ordered were also pathetically thin and empty. As far back as I can remember, their wontons were full and luscious. Sad to say since I'm clearly being ripped off, I won't be going back. There are plenty of other curry places where I'll get what I pay for.

Same meal. I just wanted to highlight how big the prawns are.

We popped in for a quick snack but ended up staying for dinner. Their drink game is on point. I can't even remember everything we ordered but the answer to a drink is, of course, yes! Their food is solid. We've done the Shrimp Skewer, Lumpia, Coral Platter, and Lava Fries. They were DELISH! My gang tried the Spam Musubi... I wasn't brave enough, but they loved it! We wanted a drink and bite before thrifting and going to the book store. One other couple was inside. Waiter was nice but not hospitable. The ambiance is amazing - 10/10 love the vibe and decor. I ordered a drink of the mixed drinks and my husband got a margarita. The drink was so bad - neither one of us could drink it. I don't think I've ever returned a drink I can't pound before haha. It was 10 minutes before I went home to the bar to ask for something different - no one came by to ask how things were. The guava choice I picked for the second - not good. Watered down flavors of who knows. The drinks at Wahi Hanna are amazing in comparison - especially with the Dole Whip vibe. The spam fries were $9 for half a can of spam cut up and put in the oven with a side of mayo? The loco moco was promising but tasted like something you'd get at Kenjis - not a Hawaiian spot. I feel like with a lot of tweaks in flavor - this could be a great spot.

We waited 10 minutes before we were taken to our seats. It seems as though there were enough tables to accommodate the long wait line, but not enough staffing. We understood. Our waitress gave us our menu and we looked through the menu. She came back shortly and took our order. We ordered the king pao calamari to share. My husband ordered the Parmesan encrusted halibut and I ordered the wood fire grilled rib eye steak. The kung pao calamari came with cauliflower. It was okay, the kung pao sauce was a bit too powerful for the sweetness of the calamari. I would lighten up the sauce lightly. The Parmesan encrusted halibut came with tomato paste, along with califlower, green beans and potatoes. I had a quick taste and it was okay. My dish came with smashed potatoes and asparagus which is a great pairing. The steak was cooked to perfection and I liked the smashed potatoes. The restaurant has a lot of searings, and nice decor. There are lots of views of the River which sets the ambiance for the night.

There are three separate rooms with fairly ample tables and a bar in the first two. You order at the counter. The pinball machines are in the back room. It's a cool looking place. I didn't take many photos because there were enough people there that I didn't want to infringe on privacy. They have a happy hour from open until 5pm. We arrived at 4:30 and had no problem getting a table. The happy hour has food and drink specials. We ordered the gin gimlet and the Paloma to drink and the chicken nugz Nash style and the fries. I was impressed by their drink menu--there's something for everyone. The chicken nugz were that standout--moist chicken breast and great crunch on the outside. The Nash sauce was spicy/sweet and there was a ranch dipping sauce. The basket of nugz was huge! Definitely enough for 2-3 people. The fries were okay. If you pay $12, you get a wristband to play pinball. I can't remember the last time I played pinball, but the great thing is you don't have to have any sort of talent to play--it's just a fun time! You can play single or multiplayer. No problem getting onto a pinball machine, they have ample. A fun time all around and the staff was great! Highly recommend for a night out.

I personally did not try the deviled eggs so I cannot give my opinion on that It was a Sunday night and they were having karaoke, KJ was solid, but the vibe was awful for it, maybe it's because of the setup? Separation of KJ space and patrons? Idk, the people there just didn't seem into it. From ordering and food drop off the service was good, nothing over the top but no complaints.
