So we can here as part of the October Dine the Couve. Conveniently located near our next stop for groceries we were quite hungry. We were quickly seated at a booth and discovered to our delight that there's a special weekend brunch menu. Our waitress took note that we were going to share everything and brought out each dish as they become ready so we could give each one its due attention. The 3 selections were the pork with sticky rice, followed by gojuchang chicken and ube waffles, ending with the thai tea French toast. The dishes were fabulous and there were no leftovers between the 2 of us. We are definitely coming back for the chicken and waffles and the French toast and to try some other new stuff. read more

The food was so delicious! My husband and I came here for the first time and we will absolutely be returning. I had the vegan version of the PAD KI MOW BEEF - substitute tofu and the flavors were so incredible. My husband had an item off the specials menu and we both finished every last bite. We were very pleased with this spot! After seeing it on TikTok advertised as a brunch spot we decided to go. When we arrived, it felt more Thai focused than anything though on the TikTok we saw more American-ized food, I don't think that was the case in person! I was so pleased to see a beautiful Thai list of foods! *Be aware a large majority of their menu items are leveled as Spicy however I asked the waitress and she said some items can be modified to little or no spice* I opted for the Yakisoba with Shrimp. The Shrimp was huge, comes tail on so I pulled mine off. But fully deveined which, I care about. The noodles I got were beautifully moist, and PACKED with flavor. Seriously maybe my favorite Asian cuisine noodle dish I have ever had in the PNW. And I've had a LOT because Lo Mein, Chow Mein, Yakisoba are all my favorite foods. The Cream Cheese Wontons (Crab Rangoon) were also full of filling and so amazing. Can't wait to try more! Dinner at Ginger Pop was delicious! It was a girls day of shopping for a wedding dress and we ended with dinner. Service was great, greeted and quickly seated. The place was very nicely decorated. We order appetizers, Shrimp Salad rolls and Potstickers, both very good. Main courses consisted of Teriyaki Chicken, Broccoli Beef, and Curry Chicken. My crab rangoon were chewy as if they were refried and they were almost burnt. Secondly I ordered the Thai basil fried rice and was very specific that I told the cashier NO spice! I do not like spicy. My food was to-go and when I got home I was so excited to dig in and enjoy my favorite Thai dish and sadly basil rice was so super spicy that I only took the one bite. I tried to counter act the heat with salt and sweet and even cream but NOTHING helped. Threw the entire dish out. What a waste of money. So upset that this was inedible. Sadly looks like company doesn't even look at these reviews so nothing will ever be addressed or changed so will never come back to this restaurant as they do not listen or honor their patrons sadly! read more

I've been going to Ginger pop for over 5 years. I love their food. The employees are nice and the restaurant is nice. But recently, they have become incredibly stingy and the food quality has really gone downhill. I always get the Garden Green Curry and I ALWAYS pay extra for "family size" and an order of the creamy wontons. For years this meant my togo order consisted of a large container of curry plus a smaller container. It would feed me for at least two days. However recently, even when I confirm I'm ordering the family size, they have only given me one large container of curry-- and it's not even full (see picture). I'm paying extra for extra curry!! Does this mean a regular serving is somehow less than even that? When I asked the server why it had changed, she said it's always been like that. That's not true. I have orders on my email going back to '21 to confirm that I've been a long time customer. The crab wontons I ordered were also pathetically thin and empty. As far back as I can remember, their wontons were full and luscious. Sad to say since I'm clearly being ripped off, I won't be going back. There are plenty of other curry places where I'll get what I pay for. read more

We stopped here for a late lunch on Saturday. Place was in a really nice shopping mall. We ordered Thai Iced Tea and a Green Tea Latte. Our entrees were pad sie Lew pork and chicken yellow curry. The food is the closest to authentic that we have found, so far, in Vancouver. The restaurant is nice inside and clean.

Ginger Pop is definitely one of those Thai restaurants that's gaining a lot of popular outside of the local Vancouver residents. Drove about 25 minutes and it was absolutely worth the drive. I called for take out and was having very bad cell phone reception but the owner actually called me back (never had this happen) and confirmed the order for me. She never rushed me or was in any hurry but was definitely kind and patient. Once I got there, the food was ready and met up with the owner. She had the kindest voice let me tell you and was very sweet. The food was pretty epic to say the least. The sausage and egg fried rice ($13) I think could have used some seasoning but the pad Thai ($13) was next level. It was silky, flavorful, and not that spicy (just how I like it). Even though there are other Thai restaurants in the Portland area, Ginger Pop is top on my list for one of my favorite Thai restaurants. read more

Came here with my family for some "amazing pad Thai" not even close to the traditional Thai I've had before. The Tom ka soup was bland and watery, the salad rolls were good but the dipping sauce was mostly curry, not bad but if you're not a curry fan and looking for peanut dipping sauce, this is not it. The pad see ew noodles were good but the tofu tasted off... like it was sour. The beef pad see ew was tough and chewy. Maybe they changed chefs... Lastly the service was ok... only issue was with the hostess with the red hair and glitter face makeup. Wow beyond rude! That place I was told used to be amazing... I was less than impressed. Went a week ago with my wife & daughter. Have been here b4. My wife is vegan. They say they have vegan options & the menu has their vegan symbol on several meals. But the DO NOT HAVE VEGAN!! Everything we questioned on the menu marked vegan had fish sauce. By eliminating everything & stir frying some vegetables she was able to eat. Service was good. Waitress was friendly & fun. Just walked in for the first time to try some of their menus. Happened to be in the area so I ordered chicken Pad Thai to go. Service is okay and it was quick. When I got home and tried the food the first thing I noticed is a very distinct burnt smell. Chicken meat have some burnt marks and thought maybe they used grilled chicken. When tasted it, the burnt taste is so hard to ignore. After several bites I had to toss it out. Very unfortunate that I love Thai Foods esp Pad Thai to be one of my faves. Prob would not come back. One day last week poped in for a quick lunch. Second time here within a month. Frist time I got Tom Kha with only veggies. The tom Kha was average. It was a lot of broth not much of veggies and no lemon grass or glanga. This time I got the cashew stir fry with tofu add extra veggies. Didn't have any heat I asked for Thai hot. The other big disappointment was the portion was terribley small. And with the added extra veggies the bill was $18 and change. For me their is no other then..can't see myself returning The restaurant itself is very nice. Feels upscale. It's very clean and well organized. Definitely a place for "Ladies who Lunch" especially if they are ok with small portions. If your hard manual laborer this place will have your stomach growling with hunger and your wallet much lighter. Service. Rather cold. The waitress that took my order. I can't think of a time I have sent food back, but I am sure it has happened once or twice in my lifetime. Anyway, I sent my plate of Mango Prawns back as it was served cold, while my husband's food was hot. I am not sure if they had an extra dish lying around and served that to me instead of a freshly cooked plate, but it was completely unacceptable. While I prefer my food hot, even if it was warm I would have eaten it, but this was cold and inedible at that temperature. After sending it back, the service was uncomfortable and distant. They need to work on their customer service skills and their timing of serving food that is meant to be served hot. I am giving an extra star because I have had their food in the past as takeout and it was good. read more
