When we first went into Ginger Thai, it was packed so that's always a good sign. We ordered the Chicken Satay, Pad Thai, Pineapple Fried Rice, Egglant, Papaya Salad, and the curry. My favorite was the curry which I loved to pour onto the plain white rice. The pad Thai was kind of too sweet for me which I recommend to stay away from. Soup was so salty no one could eat it and shrimp was tough. Also, ordered another dish off their menu called a "taste of basil" and got something completely different. When I called to let them know, they said there are 2 dishes on their menu with that same name and that I should have specified. Why would the customer know their menu back and forth?? THEY should clarify, when taking the order, as they are the ones who know their menu best. Or change the name of one of the dishes. Seems a little rude customer service wise blaming the customer. Normally their food is fantastic. I had the green curry last time I ordered online. It was delicious. I was disappointed with the Tiger Cry. The grilled steak was a bit too tough. I expected a nice marinade piece of meat. With every bite a juicy and tender piece of meat that almost melts in your mouth sort of experience like I have with other places that I frequent. Very disappointed in this dish. I don't expect I will order it again. The sauce was very good with a lot of flavor. I expected the steak to taste similar to the sauce. I wanted to leave feedback but their site does not provide that option, I had coconut shrimp. It was good a little over cooked and the tempura was okay. If i go back it will be for the dishes I am more familiar with like the green curry, fried rice or Pad Thai. read more

So happy we found this place!! I've been looking for a go to Thai place and I'm so happy that I've finally found my spot!! I phoned in my order and was able to pick it up in about 15 minutes. When we got home, the egg rolls were still crispy. The egg rolls were very good but the dipping sauce was the real star! It was a bit thicker and sweeter than other sweet and sour sauces. We also had the combination fried rice. Very traditional but very good and didn't require soy sauce to give it more flavor. I especially liked the larger pieces of onion. We also had the red curry with shrimp. Equally yummy but the rating made it a bit spicy for me. I'm so happy we found this spot and will definitely be back again and again. read more

The super chewy and discolored pork in the yellow curry will have you not only considering vegetarianism but next time at the grocery you'll actually buy some fake meat, give it a try, and when it tastes terrible you won't even regret trying...I mean, after that pork you just HAD to do something. Pad thai not nearly as disturbing as the curry but was bleh enough that when we called the restaurant to let them know about the pork quality, and when they offered a credit towards our next order, we politely declined. Obscene prices, stale tofu, and small portions. That about sums it up. I ordered a veggie/tofu portion of ginger veggie/tofu and was told $14 and some change?! I was shocked. I figure this must be AMAZING AND HUGE. Nope and nope. The fried tofu tasted stale, and it wasn't flavorful and the portion was equivalent to a lunch portion at places in sugarland. The rice portion was HUGE but not enough veggies to cover the rice. I ate about 1/4 of the rice and ran out of the entree. Thai gourmet is a way better deal and has better flavors. I stopped here since it was close the the Cinco ranch lakehouse where I teach classes. Not gonna happen again till the reduce their prices to something more reasonable around the $10-11 range. read more

This is a "must-go" place ... the food is awesome, and the staff is very friendly ! Vegetarians, like me, do not find many good places for sushi rolls - this place the one amazing sushi roll for vegetarians and they do a fantastic job with even just 1 vegetarian option - the vegetable tempura roll. The mix veggies tempura are crisp and warm when the roll is served - which means the tempura is freshly fried (unlike other places where the tempura inside the roll is gone cold) The roll is topped with Japanese mayo and a slightly sweet sauce. Soups - one important information for vegetarians - the soups "tom yum" and "tom Kha" although not listed as vegetarian in the menu, upon request, they can make the soups in vegetarian broth. Very thankful to the chef and their staff for accommodating the soup requests each time I go. Both soups are simply superb! I wish they would officially mention that in the menu. Went there 2x. Ordered the flat noodle chicken. It was so good, so I drove back in 5 minutes to buy Pad Thai. Not happy with the Pad Thai. It did not taste like Pad Thai. Noodle was too sweet, and noodle was saturated with some sauce that looked orangy. I was expecting bean sprouts , ground peanuts, scallion, & fish sauce. None were present in the dish. Very dissappointed with the pad thai. Great customer service the first time there. A week later , I went back and ordered the pad swee ee ( flat noodle chicken ) because it was so good the first time . Bad customer service the second time around. Katy needs better Thai food T.T Husband and I came here for dinner and business seems good on a Sunday night (lots of takeout orders, restaurant is seated at least 75% capacity). At the end of our dinner, we sat around for 5-10 minutes with finished plates trying to catch a busy server to bring us our bill. Panang curry: It says on the menu there is spice, I could not taste the spice. I want my thai food somewhat spicy. I appreciate how other thai restaurants allow customers to choose their spice level. Food was good, they provide a good portion of meat and vegetables in the curry. It was salty and left me unsatisfied. Pad Se Ewe: Very salty. The brown soy sauce dominated the dish. The restaurant does include good portion of meat and vegetables in their dish but for the portion size, the price is too expensive. Also, the tasty factor wasn't there. The chinese broccoli left your mouth coated with oil and that iron feel. Overall, the prices are expensive for the food we got, the ambiance and service they provide. The dishes aren't that great. Tried having lunch here today and didn't even get that far... Sat down and the waitress asked what we wanted to drink and when we ordered water, she gave one of those looks and walked off. Then my wife ask about the lunch special and again was rude and rolled her eyes. She answered rudely and we decided NOT to eat here and left! Ginger Thai is worth a try. I had the pad thai with chicken ($12.99) and my wife had pad thai with vegetables ($10.99) to go. At first blush the to-go container looked small. This proved incorrect because there was plenty of food. I was pleased with my entree. My wife thought our dinners were slightly too sweet, which I would agree, but the food was otherwise enjoyable. I LOVE Ginger Thai! Their food is incredible and their prices are fair for the amount of food you get. I'm surprised to see such unhappy reviewers! I always get the Chicken and Basil Fried Rice with Vegetarian Spring Rolls and Miso Soup. I have yet to be disappointed! The waiters and waitresses are always so nice and helpful whenever I come.
