Friendly service from the owner/manager to the waiters. Interior is spectacular - perfectly blend of Thai culture but on the upscale side. Casual dress-wear. Perfect for families, parties, or a date. Thai iced tea - perfectly made. Not too sweet and you can still taste the tea. 5/5. BBQ Pork - it was okay for me. 3/5. Tom Yum Soup - with soft tofu was perfect. It's how Tom yum soup should be. So hard to find that in the Houston and Houston-metro area. I highly recommend! And they did not skimped out on their proteins. For once, it's not just 1-2 pieces of proteins. 5/5. Pad Thai Wrapped Eggs - with chicken was a nice upscale take to pad Thai that I'm used to. Tasted good and we actually finished the whole dish. It's on the less seasoned side but I still enjoyed it. 4/5. Prices are reasonable and would come back if I'm in the area. Servers are friendly and even though he knew there's no tree-nuts, he assured us he would double check with the chefs. That gives me confidence for a food business for anyone with food allergies to eat here. Presentations are top-notched. It's upscale but still giving that Thai-cultured vibe.

Came here for lunch the moment they opened, so we were the only customers in the entire restaurant. This is a beautifully decorated traditional Thai restaurant. High chandeliers with traditional Thai headwear donning the walls and ceilings. Intricate wall designs and plates with gold plated silverware. The service and staff were attentive and nice. We got the fish cakes (5) to start which was a smaller portion than we anticipated but the flavor was great, as was the cucumber sauce. And then we shared 3 entrees, jumbo crab meat fried rice, beef drunken noodles, and chicken pad Thai. Fish cakes 4/5 Crab fried rice 5/5 - huge pieces of crab meat mixed with eggs topping the pile of fried rice. Excellent seasoning and very good portion. Drunken noodles 5/5 - mild spicy (this already had a kick to it), beef was well cooked. Pad Thai 5/5 - came cooked inside an egg omelette with side of bean sprouts and chopped peanuts. Lightly sweet. Entree portions were plentiful so we took a lot of food home for lunch during the week. The garnishing was pretty with parsley, shredded carrots and a real flower. We will certainly be back at some point!

KATY, TX 77494 / THAI / 01-21-24 / TAKEOUT LUNCH +Great customer service! Each staff member hustles and tries to deliver a delightful customer experience. +Consistent execution of dishes; i.e., pad thai +Pricing is reasonable and entree portions are pretty much Texas-sized. Check out the size of the to-go containers! +The restaurant decor is nice and the place is cozy. -Many of the dishes seem pretty westernized in flavor; little to no fish sauce in many of the dishes that usually call for it. -The pad thai was mushy by the time I got home with our takeout order. -They don't offer the tray of spices (green chili peppers in vinegar, red chili peppers in fish sauce, and chili powder) that other authentic Thai restaurants usually have as condiments; i.e., Thai Garden (Galleria area) -Limited menu for a Thai restaurant in my opinion. Where is the kao mun gai or ka prow? This joint does not elevate itself to the levels of Kin Dee (Heights), Street to Kitchen (EaDo), or Four Region Thai (Spring, TX) but is good for a Katy neighborhood restaurant serving Thai cuisine. If you can't make the long drive to some of the great authentic Thai spots Space City has to offer, go check Zaab Station out and give them some Yelp/Google love!

The food was amazing, the presentation and service was fantastic. Great for birthday.

A little restaurant tucked away in Katy serving classic comfort Thai dishes. I came with a group of fifteen so we got the chance to try a variety of dishes. There was fried rice, noodles, curry, appetizers, and fancy fruit drinks! Pad thai: such a classic dish served in a unique way. For this dish, instead of mixing the eggs right into the noodles, the egg was wrapped around the bed of noodles like a warm blanket. The presentation made this dish stand out. Noodles were bouncy, chicken was juicy, and eggs were not overdone. However, I found the dish to be just a bit too sweet for my tastes. Tom yum: this dish tasted sour, sweet, and a little tangy. Perfect when paired with a steaming bowl of rice. Chicken and basil fried rice: chicken was juicy and the rice was very flavorful. Perfect dish for kids or those who aren't too adventurous and just starting out with Thai good. Pineapple fried rice: this dish had raisins in there. Not sure I loved the combo of raisins, pineapple, and chicken. Crab fried rice: definitely the stand out for me. Topped with a generous portion of crab meat, this fried rice was moist and packed with flavor.

Food is amazing. We ordered the Tom yum soup, fish cakes, papaya salad, pad Thai, drunken noodles and fried rice. It took a while for the food to come out. But when it started coming out, everything was delicious. Portions are kind of small though. And nobody really came by to check on us. They just came with the food and set it down. Didn't ask if we needed anything. They were good at refilling our waters though.

Hoy jaw appetizer, a must try!

Zaab Station isn't just about amazing Thai food--it's a whole experience. The warm, golden interior with intricate wood carvings, traditional statues, and a beautiful gong makes you feel like you've stepped into Thailand. The food presentation is just as stunning, with vibrant garnishes and fresh flowers that make every dish look as good as it tastes. Whether you're digging into crispy fish, flavorful satay skewers, or a rich, fragrant curry, every plate is a feast for the eyes and the taste buds. I would to mention their homemade "hoy jaw", which is an appetizer made of succulent crabmeat and seasoned pork. A must order item! It's the kind of place where you'll want to take pictures before you take a bite! Excellent and friendly service too, with the owners having more than 15 years cooking their delicious Thai food.

This Thai restaurant has got to be one of the best places I've had. Their Thai coffee/tea wasn't super sweet and tasted amazing! I ordered the money bags which had the perfect crisp to it. I love their red curry (ask for extra rice or fried rice) . I got medium spice to it and it was the perfect combination. Chicken pad thai tasted great and portion was HUGE! They gave a lot of meat and the owner checked up on our table many times to make sure if we needed anything else. I'll definitely be coming back here

Food was great! Service was fast, friendly, and the environment was really nice. Close to closing time so we ate really fast. This place looks authentic, plates and stuff were uniquely very Thai looking making it feel wow they put a lot of thought into this restaurant.

Cannot beat this lunch special for $8.95!! Several things to choose from. This is the Curry Special - Chicken red curry, rice, soup of the day, eggroll and salad. Made two meals for me.

This place is super underrated! I'm so glad I decided to give it a try. Their smoothies are super fresh and 10/10 will definitely come back for more! They use fresh fruit and typically I wouldn't spend this much for a smoothie but well worth it, in my opinion! The fish may look a bit daunting like it was just picked up straight from the ocean, but the sauce it comes with pairs so nicely with it. They also give you a free side of rice with it. The beef pad see ew was okay, not my favorite and a bit too much pepper. I love the decor and ambiance. The service was decent as well, but the food and drink are definitely the highlight of this place.

    Thai flower dumpling
    Tim F.

I've been coming here off and on for a couple years now and it's never disappointed. The food, service, and cleanliness are always great. I usually go with a stir-fried dish like cashew chicken or Thai basil with ground pork (which are both really good), and if you like it spicy they can make you sweat. Today they offered a free app of the Thai flower dumpling and it was delicious! All in all this place is a safe bet.

Thai Tea: Sweet, delicious, and exactly what a traditional Thai tea should taste like--no complaints at all. It was rich, refreshing, and one of the highlights of the meal for me. Che Tai: The Che Tai tasted a little too artificial for my liking and was definitely different from the version I'm used to. It may have also seemed less sweet since I was drinking Thai tea alongside it, but overall, this was probably my least favorite drink of the night. Crying Tiger: This was probably my family's favorite dish of the evening. Paired with rice, the meat was flavorful and well-seasoned, though on its own it leaned slightly salty for me. The texture was also a bit too chewy, and I personally would have preferred a crispier bite. Even so, the flavor was still enjoyable, and both my father and brother really liked it. Grilled Atlantic Salmon Curry: The presentation was beautiful, and the salmon had a nice crisp on the outside. However, I could tell it was slightly overcooked, and the meat itself tasted a little bland, almost as if it had been frozen for too long. The Panang curry was comforting and coconut-forward with a creamy texture that I enjoyed, though it lacked the sharper punch I've had from other Panang curries. Lobster Papaya Salad: I liked this dish much more than the seafood salad. The seasoning was mellow, and the fresh young papaya was well-seasoned and refreshing. Unfortunately, the lobster still had a slight fishy taste that didn't sit well with me afterward. We ordered everything mild since my brother can't handle spice. My father thought the salad was too sour, but my brother enjoys sour flavors, so he liked it more than we did. I also personally didn't enjoy the green beans included in the salad. Yum Talay Seafood Salad: This salad had a softer, more acidic flavor, but I wish the taste had been crisper and brighter overall. The sourness felt muted in a way that didn't fully work for me. It was still decent, just not a standout dish for our family. Service & InKind Experience: The service throughout the meal was a big reason why I still gave this place 4-stars. Our waiter was attentive, friendly, and already familiar with the fact that we were using InKind, which made everything feel smooth and effortless when it came time to pay the bill. Overall, Thaicoon had beautiful presentation, attentive service, and a few dishes my family genuinely enjoyed. While some of the flavors didn't fully land for me personally, the atmosphere, service, and seamless InKind experience still made it a solid visit.

The only complaint I have, although not exactly about cleanliness, I would suggest that management take a look at the lock in the men's restroom. Although it was locked, someone was able to enter still. SUMMARY This is a petite Thai cafe. Everything about this place was enjoyable. BF hosted a major get-together for friends and chose this gem as the gathering spot. No regrets all…read morearound--everyone thought it was a great place to eat, catch up, and spend the afternoon. Malaysian Grilled Chicken Satay - Super tender with a sweet peanut sauce that really accentuated the flavors. Probably my favorite appetizer so far--had to be extra careful around my BF after this! Definitely my brother's personal favorite; I'm sure he ate 3 of them! Hainanese Chicken & Rice - Very tender and chewy with a mild flavor. The ginger-and-scallion sauce at the bottom was very refreshing, and the aromatic rice was among the most delicious I've had! I saw that the grains looked similar to Vietnamese broken rice because they weren't fully rounded. For some reason, this made the texture so much more appealing to me. Curry Chicken Puff - Love the curry flavor of this and the delicacy of the puff pastry. The shell isn't too thick, and the vegetables are very well infused with the curry, making them strong contributors to the overall flavor. Despite it being a pastry, I didn't feel overwhelmed by the carbs--indicating that the breading-to-stuffing ratio of this sat at the perfect pinnacle. Malaysian Roti Canai - One of my absolute favorite dishes here. I would come to this place just for this--the whole table compared the combo to crack. No joke. The chicken and potatoes are some of the most tender pieces in this dish, and you could slurp the broth like it's its own dish. I watched this go way too fast, and even two orders per table were not enough to satisfy the crowd. Malaysian Roti Canai (w. Egg) - Love the original much more, but this was still very delicious. They made the egg very thin, so it didn't overwhelm the roti. The egg took away from my favorite roti taste, but it was so well seasoned I wasn't even that angry about it. Malaysian Char Kuey Teow (Migoreng) - OOH. This has a unique flavor --much more savory than packaged ramen. The texture of the noodles is very inviting. It's much less salty compared to the pre-packaged Migoreng. The flavor was more umami. Rich, deep, and just the perfect amount to coat the noodles. Stir-Fried Mixed Vegetable (w. Tofu) - This is a very saucy vegetable dish, but I didn't mind it at all. I loved it, though it was the last dish I had and I was definitely stuffed by then. The sauce reminds me of a thinner Migoreng sauce--more viscous than a loose sauce, but not as thick as Migoreng. Very good, but my taste buds were definitely overwhelmed by then. Malaysian Milk Tea - Not as sweet as I expected. I was told the tea leaves were imported from Malaysia, and our table ended up ordering six of them. The lingering bitterness in the aftertaste is something I'm very fond of, and the tea flavor is exceptionally rich. The milk infusion in this is exceptional. Malaysian Lime "Calamansi" & Plum Drink - Tasted like a lime-tamarind drink to my BF, while my brother and I thought it tasted like Vietnamese chanh muối. Overall, Uncle Chin's lived up to the hype, just as I knew it would from the day my BF brought home leftover roti from his very first visit. The buzz of having 16 people definitely distracted me from paying close attention to every dish--I even missed taking a few photos--but one thing remained true: everyone was talking about the food. Every time a new dish came out, the table erupted with commentary about its flavor, uniqueness, and overall impact. Some dishes stole the show more than others (my lovely roti, hello), but every single one earned its place on the menu. Very sad we didn't get to see Uncle Chin sing, but with 16 people to serve during the lunch rush, I'm sure he was pretty overwhelmed.
