The staff was attentive and nice but my friend's chicken was raw in the middle and I ordered the Lasagna and a side of meatballs the center of the Lasagna was cold and the meatballs where definitely prefab frozen product. I ordered a simple Gino's salad with Salmon. I used Uber eats as I am currently sick, and this was convenient . The food arrived promptly, but the Salmon tasted like burnt rubber. The salad didn't come with sufficient dressing. Nor did my order come with a fork. I order Gino's salads weekly in Manhasset and have never experienced such a disgusting meal. I called the Manager and he didn't seem to care nor did he apologize. He said call Uber eats for a refund. I had to call Uber eats and wait as they call the restaurant to verify I can receive my refund. This entire process has taken over an hour. The cauliflower crust was very good accidently ordered the GF crust and they use the Contes brand which I dislike alot.... it doesn't cook thorough and is way to soft and falls apart when you eat it. Truly terrible. All the other ingredients are good but I def wasted my money since the conte crust is so gross. Def doesn't taste like pizza. read more

My family ordered from here tonite & my grandma got spaghetti & meatballs, was charged for it but received no meatballs, just spaghetti. We get there with the whole crew and as we walk in are told the hostess made a mistake, there is no room and we didn't have your number? Just unprofessional in general. Maybe a better way to handle that is we are really sorry and here is a gift certificate for a free pie or something to make it seem you were really contrite for inconveniencing everyone. I've ordered the cheese pizza a number of times, and found it to be very good. It is a very large (18 inch) pizza, with a generous amount of cheese, and prepared consistently each time. Been here a couple times once for dine in and once for a couple slices. The restaurant menu is pretty good. The pasta dishes are flavorful with good Italian options. The portion size was good so I would recommend it for a night out with the family or friends. The manager is very friendly and typically present to greet customers. As far as the pizza goes its pretty good, not the best around though it hits the spot. I was a fan of the chicken bacon ranch slice which had tons of flavor. They have plenty of options to choose from and even offer cauliflower crust for those who like that sort of thing. The interior atmosphere is nicely decorated and clean. It is spilt between the pizza counter with some seating and the actual dine in restaurant. They have a full bar for those who drink and a back room for groups. My first time, even though I'm always in that shopping center, got take out of a chicken parm hero and got a vodka sauce slice on the side. First, delicious! Second, the girl who took the order told me 25 minutes for the hero - I arrived in 15 mins and it was already ready, when I got home 5 minutes later, it had not only been ready but was getting cold and the cheese hardened a bit. This irks me to no end! I like HOT food and don't want to microwave a hero! The vodka slice was like a novelty, basically pizza dough with the vodka sauce poured onto it so very messy and runny. Glad I tried it but it's a 1 and done for me. I was most impressed by the interior! Gorgeous! Very clean looking, marble bar (didn't expect that!) We were coming here for years, we stopped going out during the pandemic because we take two elderly people with us, but we've just started coming back. Even after two years, they remember our orders and preferences, and always give us top service. The food is higher quality than you'd expect, esp given the low cost; there's outdoor seating if you want it, and it's right next to Trader Joe's so we make an outing of it. Rosanne is TOPS. First time here as we are new to Commack. Friday night in Lent and the place is packed. Got told there is a 30 min wait to sit 2 people. Not bad for how busy it is. After about 15 mins of waiting the owner gave us a slice of pizza cut in half to share while we were waiting. Hands down awesome way to treat customers. Best slice of pizza we ever had. Every Friday when we call we get "Ginos please hold ". This typically results in a disconnection and we need to call back and the phone is busy for minutes until we can finally get through. They need to update their phone system. The last two weeks we've gotten our order home and items have missing each week. Not to mention they will tell you to come in 30 minutes and when you get there it's at least an extra 15 minutes of waiting. We may need to start going to Gino's of Westbury instead. read more

I had a graduation event catered by Commack Ginos in mid July. The veal francais was lemony but bland no flavor. The chicken marsala was also bland seemed like their was major skimping on the wine and spices also the chicken was not breaded and it was flavorless. A italian hero with lettuce? no red pepper no flavor, cheap cold cuts no good italian coldcuts even the extra small bread rolls provided were staleish the baked ziti was terrible no flavor the food all seemed to be made on a conveyer belt by unskilled cooks going through the motions. It was italian food where you put most of the ingredients in but you leave a few out without tasting it or caring what it taste like, then charge exhorbitant prices for it. The food arrived late as well, Unfortunately I let someone else pick this place for me, I'm sorry I paid over $600 for this stuff. When we first moved to commack a couple of years ago, it was hard to find anything worth eating. Found Ginos and thought this place was great, up until 2 weeks ago. Picked up a Pie that was totally under cooked , called for credit and they gave it to me. Week later i get the Pie again and same thing but now the Pizza taste like a cracker. Idk what happened but im disappointed that i have to search for another pizza place. The food out here is either terrible or inconsistent. This one breaks my heart though, i really liked their pizza. Came here for a 3rd time and it was the worst experience. I took my mom here to show her how nice it was and unfortunately it was the opposite of my prior experiences. We had a waitress who never once came to our table after we were served our food. I had to go pour my own water with the pitcher by the bar area. My mother had to get her own olive oil in the bar area. My pasta and oil was doused in basil and I can't eat basil and I didn't see the waitress for 25 mins after getting out food so I couldn't even return it and request it without basil because my mother and daughter were already done eating. My mother then finds a long eyelash at the bottom of her salad, and they don't even try to compensate at first. And I guess my mom got another salad to go after having to ask. This place is AMAZING! They are not your typical local pizzeria. From the pizza, to the pasta, to the entrees you can't go wrong with any of their options. The food is delicious, whether dining in or taking out. Mike and his staff are so welcoming and make you feel like you're part of the family. I highly recommend their "old world" pizza as well as their garlic knots which are insane. We've had a couple of their chicken entrees which are always a hit. Great apps!
