What a great spot! My family came for the weeknight special, which came with a bunch of courses for a great price. We tried a few different entrées, including the Eggplant Parmigiana, Filet of Sole, and Chicken Parmigiana, all of which were delicious! We finish the meal off with cannolis, which were also very tasty. Service and ambiance were above expectations. The waitress was very attentive and checked in a bunch. For the deal, this place is worthwhile, but I've certainly had better Italian in the NY/NJ area.

Like all towns on Long Island's what do you have most, Banks, Pharmacies and Pizza places. What makes Filetto's stand out is the entertainment they provide while you dine in on Friday's, which is only secondary to their great food. Counter service and table service are good. The only negative is the espresso and cappuccino not hot and half a cup on the cappuccino. Ciao for Now.

Have had their regular pies a few times now and they are pretty good. But today when I decided to grab their specialty wood burning brick oven pies, I died on the inside when I saw they were making them in the same gas oven as their original pies. Considering you are paying a premium for the brick oven pies, you expect it to have that char and smoky flavor, though the flavor was there from the ingredients used, it lacked that authentic wood burning oven taste. The wood burning oven was covered up as if it was out of order. But why not mention this to your customers when they are placing the order...

We were the first party to dine in and waited over an hour, never receiving our food. Others were being served before us. The kitchen was horrible. The waitress was doing all she could but what a horrible experience. Never will we dine or order from Filetto's again.

Service here is pathetic to say the least. Slow even when empty, no communication. Nothing special about this place at all.

I knew they had great reviews so I took a chance and ordered food. Without hesitation, this was hands down the most delicious Italian food I have ever had!!! Maria took my order on a day the restaurant was not open yet. She was extremely helpful with how much food I needed. She did not over sell me on quantity where as most others would try to sell more. When food arrived, I met Frank who was also very helpful in setting up the trays in an order in which guests would choose from. It was an absolute pleasure meeting them both!!! Very professional and great people! Thank you very much to Maria and Frank!!!! Did I mention the food was absolutely AMAZING!!!!!

Food Mussels in Garlic Lemon White Wine Sauce - Clean. the sauce was perfect for dripping the table bread and the mussels were plump and fresh. Calamari - Tender. You know when squid is overcooked, they tend to be rubbery? This place has perfected it and it was the most tender calamari I've had. Chicken Milanese - over dressed. The dressing placed on the salad was sopping! If it were to sit on the chicken, it would've gone through to the breading and make it mushy. Ask for the salad on the side.

I asked one of the waitresses his name as I was leaving. He was so polite dealing with the customers around me as I was waiting. I don't usually write reviews unless the person is exceptional and this gentleman showed every aspect what a great assistant manager should be like. Next round we ordered a vodka soda with a little cranberry and a vodka lemonade, this time I made it a point to ask if those were included and he said yes. We also ordered a small pizza and a flatbread that had artichoke. Both were good, nothing special. Fun place to hang out for happy hour!

UPDATE AS OF 8/25…read more My dinner plans fell through due to chicken now thawing in time. We had all the ingredients at home to make pizza except the dough. I remember quite some time ago chatting it up with the owner about dough and his practices. So I said let's give him a shot. Price was $8.43 give or take after tax paying with card and I was honestly a little taken back. BUT... I got home stretched the dough into my cast iron and stuck it in the fridge for a few hours till dinner time came. Took it out gave it quick stretch and starting adding our ingredients. THIS IS THE BEST DAMM PIZZA I have ever made here at home, THANKS to them! Well worth the price AND from now on will be getting our pizza dough from them. I don't know why it took us so long to try it, but we are so glad we did! We purchased a Grandma Margherita Pizza and enjoyed every bite! The marinara sauce was fresh, slightly chunky, and delicious. The fresh mozzarella was evenly spaced and generous, and this pie also featured fresh basil. Now, on to the crust: it was one of a kind. You could tell it was prepared in a pan lined with olive oil and baked to a delicate crispness. With regular everyday pizza joint slices, I normally don't eat the crust, but on this pie, it was not to be missed. The next day, we all wished there were some leftover slices to enjoy, but there were none to be had! We will definitely be returning to enjoy more pizza and to try the pasta and highly recommended garlic knots.
