Did not have a lot of spice, but was tasty Then we ordered the chicken cutlet Parmesan, which was amazing The bread alone was worth it, nice crispy Italian bread. Not informing customer they are NOW charging a fee on cards. BUT, charging a 4% fee on DEBIT cards is illegal in this state. When I called, after getting home and looking at receipt and questioning it, I was informed about the fee at that time to which I then informed the girl that answered the phone, it's illegal to charge the fee on debit cards. Told her she might want to relay that to the owner. Yes, I know you've "been around for 40 years building this business" but unfortunately the youth of today can destroy what you took so long to build. This is the first time I tried Gino's. Very good pizza. It's a little far for me and I like my pizza piping hot, so I didn't get the best read possible. At a little warm, I gave it a 4.5, but assumed this would be a higher score piping hot, and 4.5 rounds up to 5 anyway. The customer service was excellent--they even got the time right for how long it would take (only great pizza places can accomplish this feat). And, while I could be wrong, this seemed like a true Italian family running the joint--always a positive sign for pizza and Italian food. If I were to pick two negatives, only one really matters to me. The one that matters is a Large Cheese pizza--not that large--is $18 and change, which is the most I have ever paid for a Large Cheese pizza, and it's far from the largest. The other 'negative' is they had some stuff in messy piles. Idc. As long as the pizza tastes good (it did). Others might not like that presentation, but if it's busy, there isn't much time to organize. Overall, definitely recommend. read more

Nobody wears gloves making the food. The young man that takes money and credit cards does not wash his hands when he goes to make a pizza. The kitchen area is packed with stuff all over the place. Ok so not much atmosphere here, but the food more than makes up for it. We ordered Neapolitan Pizza, with mushrooms, olives spinach, pepperoni. Cooked perfectly. Dough was fresh and sauce very tasty. Only complaints are the beer was not cold and there was no background music so it was pretty quiet. I think this is more a take out place but with a couple of tweaks it would be fine to eat inside. I definitely would like to try some of the Italian dishes so I'm sure we'll be back. Reasonably priced. Give it a try! read more

As we sat there and ate our Pizza which was really delicious my dink was empty on the edge of the table my wife's water was empty the waiter never came over and asked if we wanted a refill or how the pizza was or if we needed anything else as he walked by numerous times with my glass sitting on the edge of the table empty that's not the first time with the same waiter. So on my way out the door as I paid I asked to speak to the manager I told him about the service didn't even say sorry or anything just said don't come on Tuesdays and one bad review is not bad WHAT A BAD ATTITUDE I did not want to get into an argument what a bad attitude and bad customer service and bad Management service. We will be finding a new place to eat pizza will not be going back to Gino's on Tampa road in Palm harbor. I even told the waiter thank you and not even a you're welcome or anything when we order the pizza he should be working for waste Management and picking up trash not very good customer service skills. Will never know of thus place was any good as the customer service was just terrible. Called to order a pizza for delivery and was told to "they only take orders from the website". I was on their web page and there was no e-commerce section. I asked politely if I could just place an order over the phone and was rudely to to "use the web, they can't do it". Gino's is a great local Italian place, small cozy interior dinning setting with solid to great meals. I mostly get the pizza as it's some of the best in the area. Been ordering from Gino's for a few years but the past year, their food has taken a toll for the worst. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana dinner yesterday and it had no taste, and I don't even think it was eggplant they used. It was all breading with no flavor, the garlic rolls were hard and the lettuce used for the side salad was yellow. The pizza is average given the location, but this place would not survive in a larger city with more competitors. Definitely, not ordering any of their dinners again and will work on exploring other pizza places to find a better pie! Dinners are a rip off!! read more
