    Garlic knots.
    Dawn S.

As always, I'm treated like family, if not royalty. This is my home away from home. Furnished in the typical Italian York style pizzeria/restaurant decor, I feel comfortable and happy when I'm here. The eggplant Parmesan is beyond anything I could ask for; thinly sliced, layered with a scrumptious marinara and cheese. Not too many places offer eggplant parm this way. It's often too thickly sliced and heavily breaded. Not here. I also love to indulge in their garlic knots and either carrot cake or cannolis. Upon request, they also make off-menu items. Since I don't eat meat, I asked for artichoke français instead of chicken Français, and it is beyond delicious! My sister and I shared the Gorgonzola salad with cranberries and walnuts, which was so fresh and refreshing! Of course there's always sports games showing on the big screen TVs with CC. That helps a lot with those of us who can't hear, and/or need explanation. Love it all!

You seemingly seat yourself so we chose a table underneath the expansive oak in the back. Great seat but keep in mind that when you're in nature, some small bugs might fall off the branches lol! The service was great although we had a couple mixups with our ordering. We ordered a cheeseless pizza for my allergic husband but it arrived with vegan cheese (made with nuts, which he's also allergic to). They ended up attempting to correct the issue and were very apologetic but again the incorrect pizza came out only minus cheese so he was able to ultimately eat it. We didn't have the heart to tell our server it was wrong again and we were very tired since it was getting late. I ordered the fig pizza which was delicious albeit a little dry. I would ask for a dipping sauce next time perhaps. I think we will be back but it will take me convincing my husband it's a safe choice. We were also told that they were missing a lot of staff members due to their truck being over at The Sound.

I didn't try the mozzarella triangles myself, but others at our table said they were delicious. For mains, we ordered the "Combination for Two," lasagna, and the special of the day, a parmesan-crusted salmon. The salmon was outstanding and cooked to perfection. The combination platter itself was very generous--easily enough for three people depending on your appetite. It came loaded with fried eggplant, two sausages, spaghetti, cheese ravioli, plus a basket of garlic bread. The bread was excellent, especially with the flavorful garlic butter seasoning. For dessert, we split the lemon cake with raspberry drizzle, which was light, refreshing, and a perfect ending to the meal. If I had one critique, it's that the red sauces across different dishes tasted very similar, which made it feel a little repetitive. That said, I definitely plan to return and try more dishes to explore the variety of flavors they have to offer.
