Pulled into Solvang early evening tonight for the week and just wanted to relax and have food delivered. The front desk recommended Gino's instead of a local pizza joint. We were so glad they did! We ordered half Gino's special and half vegetarian. Wow! Only took half an hour (ordered at 6:30) and was loaded with toppings! There were 3 of us and we devoured the pizza in no time. I rarely go for real pizza, having some gouten and dairy intolerance issues. However, to kick off the long weekend I decided to just indulge, forget the consequences (at least for an hour or two)! And I was not disappointed by Gino's. I ordered a margherita pizza which showed up super quickly with fresh torn basil. A little on the salty side, but delicious. I'm gonna chalk the salt up to the loads of cheese and pepperoni (I added that). My bf got a small pepperoni and mushroom that was big enough that he couldn't finish it, and he's a pretty big eater. Refillable drinks, Gold Peak unsweetened tea, (one of my faves) and root beer, which are occasionally hard to find. Seating was indoors, nothing flashy, a bit dark and bland. The entry doors are funky and I noticed a bunch of people having difficulty getting in and out. Only a problem if you have wheels, I imagine (stroller, wheelchair, etc.). Listen, this is my second time eating from here, my gf and I won't eat somewhere more than once if we didn't like it the first time. This pizza...THIS PIZZA, is really worthy of eating it over and over again. The Crust is nice and cooked through, it's airy yet nice and uniform al through out. We always ask for the pizza well done, we like it a little crispy and surprisingly it wasn't "burned" anywhere. I ordered at 8:35 and they only took 15 minutes to make. When you walk into the establishment there's a nice set of tables to dine and a few arcade games. Gino's is so good! We ate dinner here a few nights ago but have also done delivery. It's a minimal fee and totally worth it for delicious pizza! They are so generous with toppings. Great food and service! The staff is super friendly and accommodating. I called a few days before our trip to the area to inquire about ingredients for my food allergy kid. The staff was very helpful and confirmed the cheese pizza for my boy was safe for his allergy. I confirmed at the time of ordering and they gave us a clean cut. My family and I had lunch here on our way out from Solvang. The service from the beginning was amazing! The second we walked in we were acknowledged. We ordered two pizzas, wings, spaghetti and drinks. Everything we ordered was delicious! Full of flavor, and they didn't skimp on the toppings. 10/10 for us. Love this pizza! I ordered a small antipasto salad (recommended for two people) and a medium ginos special pizza. The salad is amazing and probably the main reason I order pizza from here. Don't get me wrong, the pizza is great too but the salad is killer! They also have a homemade ranch that is delicious. They took about 40 minutes to deliver from the time I called but the pizza was still hot. They didn't bring plates or cheese and pepper but I guess I didn't ask for it either when I ordered (I assumed they would come with them). Small pepperoni pizza for our nephew. Veggie sandwich for me. We paid roughly $52. We picked up the order. The restaurant was close to our hotel. There wasn't a huge sign so we almost missed it. Very little parking & lots of road work near by. My husband went in to get the food. The portions, I could tell from the packaging, were huge. Once we got to our hotel room, we respectively, ripped into our food. Everyone enjoyed their food & ZERO complaints! The veggie sandwich was warm, toasted & very flavorful, which most wouldn't expect from a veggie sandwich. It was honestly the best veggie sandwich I have every had from a pizza joint! After a long day sight seeking in Solvang, some local food was in order. Nobody can argue with pizza so when I consulted Yelp this spot grabbed my attention first! We were fortunate enough to arrive before a rush, so, we ordered inside & asked if it was okay to dine outside. There are cute little tables & chairs outside, very limited but with nobody around yet to compete with, it was ideal & relaxing despite the 116 degree heat. The pizza was very generous for a large, with heaps of gooey, melted cheese. A kid's dream come true! We got half cheese, half onion & basil. The crew were all super cool & everybody had masks on. I am going to remember this place for next time. They also had on some pretty sweet music inside, but outside it was quiet. Another restaurant or bar had some music playing next door aside the liquor store which was mildly annoying, but popping on my own Spotify playlist fixed that right up. They have great social distancing so we felt very comfortable. It was a Monday but the phones were ringing off the hook - that always tells you something. It was hard, the Canadian bacon was thick and flavorless. I have no idea what happened here. Luckily we got the kids spaghetti so the kiddo was able to eat. I love giving businesses the benefit of the doubt so I emailed them that night after throwing the pizza away. No response. 4 days later I messaged again & was told that my message would be relayed to someone. Sorry we had a poor experience. That was three weeks ago. So I feel it's safe to assume that whoever my message was relayed to didn't really care. Customer service is important. If we have to throw away the food, it's not ok.
