This place discriminates against older individuals. Unfortunately my husband has many health issues but we try not to let it slow us down. Hes been in severe pain where his leg can go out and his defibrillator can go off but stretching helps. He was stretching OUTSIDE of Ginos pizza and a man who called himself the owner told my husband to get out because he was making the place look bad. My husband said he needed one minute but after 15 seconds the employee (owner?) was yelling and demeaning him again... my husband did say now he needed 2 minutes and the man actually came at him. My hubby is a good man that needed to stretch to walk down the block... i came back in when i heard because i was sooo upset by the disgusting behavior. The place is kind of small, so it doesn't have much ambiance. It has those tacky 80's orange seats and don't get me wrong, I love the color orange, so it's not a jab at the color. lol I had gone with my friends here to celebrate my friend's birthday, and I had finished my pizza, and I was sitting at one of the tables talking to a friend. I had already thrown out my empty pizza plate and all that was left was a napkin that was on the table. So I'm talking to my friend when this man that works there comes over and gives me an attitude for having the napkin on the table and told me to throw it out. 1. I was going to throw it out when I left. 2. I was still at the table, what if I was still using it? I was just so insulted, he was so rude for no reason. I worked retail for 8 years, I always clean up after myself. I would have understood if I was leaving the establishment and left the napkin there, but I wasn't, I was still at the table talking to my friend. At least be nice about it too, he was just so rude! I have no desire in going back. I just recently went to Delfiores Pizza across the street and not only do they have a great atmosphere, but their workers are nice! Just stopped by for a couple of slices after a doctors appointment in the area. We had two specialty slices and two rice balls. Yes, price there is a little high, however it was absolutely worth it. Pizza had crisp bottoms and sauce with a ton of flavor. Rice balls were full of flavor and crispy crust. A lot of flavor went in to all of the food and it's easy to tell. Also, the kind lady cut the specialty slices in half so it was easier to eat. read more

We stopped by on a Friday evening for dinner. We ordered a pizza, half mushroom, a chicken parm wrap (almost like a calzone). Everything was delicious. The sauce they serve on the side is savory. It's not heavy. It's a light tasty tomato sauce. The chicken parm calzone-ish wrap was fabulous. We all fought over it. They were super nice and served 6 garlic knots on the house. The staff is warm and welcoming. We will definitely be back. They do a brisk takeout business, but there were several diners eating inside. The place is not that big and you avoid the mayhem that you might find at other pizzerias on the weekend. Definitely try them out. I ordered a grandma pie for a small Friendsgiving we gathered for. Bringing a food from my heritage. The grandma pie hit the mark , and was a big hit , for an appetizer, when they double cut the pizza into small squares. When I walked in I was greeted with a warm hello accompanied with a SMILE. Good old fashion customer service. Love it !! Vinny Sr introduced himself and said this is my Son Vinny Jr. He was the one who cooked my pizza. Lol. Great on time pickup as well. They are in the middle of the Village, was a tad hard to find a spot to park , if you call they will tell you to park ( somewhere , I will not say because I don't want anyone taking there secret parking spot ). Gonna give you a no frills review for a no frills pizza place . Location is a bit bigger than the outside suggests. Ordered a buffalo pizza pie to go. The staff was really friendly, answered all our questions. Pizza itself was good! Buffalo chicken had a nice tang to it. Good chunks of chicken and cheese. I lived in Patchogue all of my life and the pizza was always good. This was not good at all. hard has a rock and would not do anything about it. I know the dad and never had a hard time. I think this was the son. He hung up the phone on me. I am 62 and this person does not know how to run a business. Does he not know that my company orders 15 pies when we have a meeting. We will now go to Mama Bella"s. I will put this on Facebook with my 2,000 friends and will pass it around. No one should be hung up on. He should of said sorry and gave me a new pie. Grab a pie or a plain slice at this small, no-frills, cash only spot. A plain slice will run you your normal $2.50, it's always tasty and crisp. I've been going since I was a kid yet they have no clue who I am. In contrast to other local spots who remember me after years of absence. I suppose that speaks to the nature of the place; they aren't the friendliest group of pizzaitalians. The grandma is decent but not the best, I tend to stick to the plain slice or a fresh pie with whatever topping mood may strike. They've got pie loyalty card that gets you a freebie after 10, over the years I've had about 50 of those cards marked off once or twice and never remember to use it. Every now and then they'll give me a card with my pie and not even punch it... I will never get a single free pie from the place but I'll always go back. read more

located on Main street in Patchogue I came only because of the reviews first visit I did not know it was a cash only so my son and I left BUT I knew we would be back I am so glad I didnt let the anger of no plastic get the best of me (I was starved that first time) we returned and returned and then we brought a guy a visiting soldier friend (from the State of Washington via Afghanistan) This is really good pizza I mean really! and one of the best things! The actions/behavior of the men behind the counter is unacceptable. The pizza is not that good to be treated that way. To have an employee be extremely irrational because my husband added something to the order after it was already rung up is unacceptable. You think they would be happy to have more business!?! Not only are they unaware that the customer is always right, but instead they treat there loyal, paying customers like crap- and we were regulars for years!!!!! WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN. We walked in to this Pizza Shoppe and the Pizza did not look fresh, the counter person was very grumpy/unpleasent. They do not accept card so we had to use the atm that gives a $3 fee. After paying the price he had said before he gave us one slice too short making us go back to the atm and pay the fee again to get the slice. We later learned that the guy scammed us and we paid the full price the first time (6 slices - $18.50 - 2 were specialty). Then we got to the food. The buffalo slice was absolutely terrible - dough was thick and dried out, crust was burnt, cheese tasted off. The cheese slices were alright but nothing special. Any place that is "cash only" most likely launders their money. This place was shadey from the time we walked in, how they treated us, and how the food tasted. DO NOT GO. read more

Best Slice I've had in the area :) My other favorite is Satellites but this is pretty great pizza. I wish the hours were later of course but I don't blame them; they'd be flooded with the bar crowd of Patchogue if they did. Time for an update. Still the best. They run a weekly coupon in the Yankee Trader with some nice specials and they offer $8.99 large pies on Sunday, Mondays and Tuesdays. Parking and picking up your order has been a bit more troublesome since the J&R's open'd up across the walkway (http://www.yelp.com/biz/eloise-staudinger-walkway-patchogue#hrid:75bRG7nNLAtJ-8dbPDOaVA/query:eloise%20staudinger) but Gino's was able to get approval for 10 min. parking slot right out front.
