[[HIGHLIGHT]]Kara Rey runs a wonderful experience in food and ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This was our first time at Gino's and we were impressed. Christie and Elena were very attentive and courteous servers. My bone-in rib eye was still resting while I finished my delicious French onion soup. My Mom really enjoyed her corn chowder and savory seared sea scallops. The house bread is memorable too! We will return for the Chilean sea bass.

We have been here few times and had a good experience Our waiter and the back waiter were super cool and very attentive. The complementary appetizer of sweet peppers was a perfect start to the meal. My wife had the lake perch and that was very tasty, unfortunately my New York strip came out medium well and not medium as requested. It's always disappointing paying a premium for a steak at a steak house only to have the steak come out at a different temperature. This was also our anniversary dinner. We informed the restaurant of the occasion and they completely ignored it. I was not looking for anything free but a simple acknowledgment that makes the evening little more special. Otherwise, what's the point of noting it in the online reservation.

I visited Gino's Prime & Surf on a Saturday evening to celebrate my dad's birthday. The location is clean and has a relaxing atmosphere. Our server was prompt. We ordered 1/2 dozen of New Orleans style oysters, a crab cake, a lobster tail, surf and turf with a lobster tail, salads, sides and a piece of chocolate cake. All of the food took a while to come out. Even the table next to us started to ask for the manager. My dad visits the location often and said this wasn't the normal wait time. After about an hour after ordering our food still wasn't out. He asked our server what was the delay she responded "the other 170 other people here and 3 chefs in the kitchen" with a semi sharp tone. I def think there was a more polite way to answer that question. On to the food. The oysters and lobster tail were delicious! Very good. The chocolate cake was also very good! Moist and a great chocolate flavor. My filet was DRY and tasteless. Not even salt could be tasted. I ordered medium, yet the meat was still very dry and bland. My broccoli was bland as well. When reviewing the bill the next day, I see my server charged me for the incorrect surf and turf ($5 more than the one I ordered) and we were billed $10 for a non cash fee. I'd def pass on the steak if I choose to visit again, and stick to the seafood and the desserts.

Here for my brothers birthday dinner. I had never been here. The decor and ambiance is beautiful. I tried Alligator Bites for the first time and they were good. It was 12 of us our bill totaled $910 including the gratuity and the food in my opinion was good. The soup unfortunately was Luke warm so a couple people sent it back. A couple steaks 1. that was supposed to be medium well and 1. well done were sent back because they were still too rare. Other than that every body was happy with there food and drinks. My sister tried Black Cherry Whiskey. Alex was our waiter and he was amazing!! Very patient and truly worked hard, Free parking in the front and back. I would definitely recommend trying this restaurant.

May look good to you but it was chewy as shoe leather.

Drinks, food, and service were great. Standouts were the blackberry smash cocktail and the BLT salad.

Date night done right at Rosebud Steakhouse in Munster…read more My husband and I chose this spot for a much-needed night out and it did not disappoint. We started with drinks--he had an Old Fashioned and I ordered the Versant Twist--and both were absolutely lovely. We skipped appetizers to save room for dinner and were so glad we did. He ordered the Dolmenico Ribeye and I went with the 12oz Filet Mignon. We shared grilled asparagus, loaded steakhouse mashed potatoes and sautéed mushrooms and onions. Everything was so incredibly delicious that I completely forgot to take photos--which says a lot. Ryan, our server, was fantastic--attentive, friendly and made the whole experience even better. Honestly, we haven't had a steak this good while dining out in over 20 years. We will definitely be back very soon.

This place is overrated. We took my mother there to celebrate her 84th birthday and had a party of about 20 people. The side room we occupied was too dark for my liking. The employees were nice. As for the food, Rosebud Steakhouse is known for its steaks, and the 13-plus people in our group who ordered steak said they were good. However, one steak did have to be sent back because it was overcooked. I ordered the chicken sandwich, crab cake, macaroni, and broccoli on the side. The macaroni and chicken were oversalted, the broccoli was over-peppered, and the crab cake was undercooked. I packed my food up and took it home, where it ended up sitting in the garage. They do have a full bar, which was a nice bonus. Overall, if steak is your thing, this is the place for you.

The atmosphere is dark but carries a distinctly club‑like vibe, which works well with the layout…read more Tables are nicely spaced, and the bar has an inviting appeal with some interesting lighting choices that add character. The wine list covers most regions, though noticeably missing any Zinfandels. Service was good overall, but substitutions are clearly discouraged, which may be a drawback for some diners. Appetizers lean heavily toward seafood, with a salad and brochette rounding out the options. They also offer rotating egg rolls; we tried the gyros version, which was flavorful but on the pricey side. The main menu isn't extensive, yet every major category is represented. Our fillets were cooked as ordered, and the baked potatoes were standard. However, the presentation was underwhelming--the filet looked quite bare on a large plate, with watery meat juice that didn't add much appeal. Desserts include a wide variety of cakes and cream‑cheese‑based options, though there's no crème brûlée or key lime pie for those who prefer classics. All in all, the experience and pricing were reminiscent of the now‑closed Gino's, though it doesn't quite reach the same level of execution. Still, it offers a solid night out with a few standout elements and a few areas that could use refinement.

This was my second visit to the restaurant, and unfortunately, both experiences were disappointing…read more The first time, I ordered an old-fashioned that fell flat and lacked any real depth of flavor. On my second visit a year later, I decided to give it another shot--this time opting for the traditional version instead of the smoked one. It was better, but still only average at best. It was also served warm, and the ice melted quickly, suggesting the glass or drink wasn't properly chilled. The martini was also underwhelming--it tasted mostly like juice, with little to no noticeable alcohol. As for the food, the starters were definitely the highlight. The French onion soup was actually very good. However, the main courses didn't live up to expectations. I ordered the steak medium rare, but it came out closer to medium well--overcooked and under-seasoned. The chicken Vesuvio was also disappointing; the sauce tasted like it came from a jar, and neither it nor the rice stood out in any meaningful way. On a positive note, the ambiance was very nice. The lighting created a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Overall, while the setting and service were enjoyable, the food and drinks didn't justify a return visit.
