I bought my Aventador SV in perfect driving condition -- had a full PPI done, everything checked out. The dealer sent it to Gintani for a new clutch and Alex recommended adding fuel pumps and pulleys to bring it up to speed. I said sure. That was September 2025. What was quoted as a 2-3 week job turned into 5 months at their California shop. During that time I was ghosted for days and sometimes over a week at a time, given fake completion dates every single week, and even flew to California to pick it up only to be told it still wasn't ready. First delivery attempt -- car wouldn't even start. Had to send it back. Second delivery months later -- two days after getting it, I'm bringing it to their Florida shop with ESC faults and gearbox issues. They fixed it, it worked for about a week, then I'm stranded on the side of the road. Car sat in their FL shop for another month. All they told me was it was a throttle body issue. Couldn't even fix that -- said they didn't have the right tool. Then Alex refused to speak to me entirely. I pulled the car and brought it to an independent shop. They found a leaking meth tank, leaking turbo system lines, a rear main seal oil leak, a leaking timing cover gasket, a starter that needed a full rebuild, and an E85 system that wasn't properly set up to support the fuel demands. The independent shop described the install as "not so clean" and said they're essentially starting over with the ancillary parts of the turbo system. Estimate to fix Gintani's work: $50,000-$70,000. 9 months of ownership. Maybe a week of actual driving. When I posted about my experience on social media, their team pressured me to take it down. I have everything documented. I wanted to love this build. The car looks incredible. But the experience has been the worst of any business I've ever dealt with. read more

This turned into an absolute nightmare. They could not get my car fixed on time. Had to spend a night near the shop which they payed for. Waited 8 hrs the next day at their shop. Still didn't get it finished. Had to fly back home and come the next week. I picked up the car and it has a horrible grinding noise. I pull back into the shop and they had bent the brake shields while doing the job. Drive 6 hours home. Next day there is a puddle of oil under the car. Ended up with a cracked oil pan, missing o ring on the high pressure vanos line, and bent brake dust shields. They also damaged the power steering rack when dropping the subframe. Gintani told me to get it repaired locally. I did to the tune of about $5000. Then they refused to pay. Took a total of 18 months to get the BAR involved and eventually small claims court which awarded me money. This guy literally locked his shop up when I had him served papers. Then I hired another person to serve him on video. He shows up to small claims court in a black shirt and black pants with no evidence of anything. Claims I am trying to defraud him out of money while I presented 16 pages of evidence to the judge. Claims he has done rod bearings hundreds of times and tried to tell the judge the high pressure vanos line comes with an O ring, which it does not. Gets blown out of the water as predicted. Swore up and down he would not pay me a dime even if the court decided in my favor and also threatened to fight me at the court house. About 6 other people have reached out to me letting me know this shop blew their motor with a bad tune or bad parts. They hire cheap unqualified labor and hide behind expensive shop cars to look legit. Unless you have clout, you will be treated like a dog here. Learn from me. Wasted thousands of dollars and loads of time which I will never get back to save a a few bucks. read more

Where Do I Begin? First off is with Jimmy, I first contacted Gintani exotic Tunning and Euro Service on INSTAGRAM messaging to get an appointment to have my vehicle retuned due to another shop in Baldwin Park, Ca 412. My appointment drop off was easy and quicker than expected. the guys at the front desk inspected the vehicle for dents and scratches and printed out a work order for what I wanted done on the tune and inspection. Jimmy contacted me the following day to notify my with pictures and video of the work previously done by the shop. I was very upset on the fix on the exhaust valves being welded outside the exhaust manifold and looking like a beginner welder was learning how to weld. Jimmy Highly Recommended me to have the complete exhaust replaced with FI-Exhaust. Vehicle down time was about a week with the order of the exhaust. Meeting the guys and Alex him self was a unique experience and the way he explained to me was has to be done to create boost back on my vehicle was similar to explaining ART on a canvas. Gintani Back in June went to Gintani in LA for some maintenance work prior to my move to IL. They did breaks (rotors/pads), and some other odds and ends (coolant, plugs etc). I left LA to move to Illinois and half way through my trip my car tripped and triggered a Service Engine soon light which caused the car to go in limp mode 1500 miles into the trip (500 miles were driven at less than 50MPH). The car then went to reputable local shop in Chicagoland and was diagnosed with a break booster vacuum sensor being covered in break fluid. Swapped the sensor out, all good. Careless technician at Gintani likely didn't cap break fluid after mounting new break pads/rotors. A month ago, I started getting steering wheel shakes under breaking. Again car went to a reputable local shop, diagnosed with warped rotors less than 5000 miles since they were done at Gintani. EP3 suggested Gintani (they were not aware of who did the work) may have used sub-par parts. Gintani quoted OEM-like parts when doing the work which obviously was not the case. Car's previous pads/rotors lasted 18k miles before replacement was needed. I reached out to Gintani to ask if there was anything they could do to either warranty the parts/provide some guidance. They so far have returned one email over 3 weeks and stated it's not their fault/problem. I refuse to believe rotors fundamentally fail 5k miles later as I've never had issues with parts in the past on the number of cars I've had without the garage having some warranty on the parts. Car has never been tracked, and Illinois hardly has the Canyon roads LA has that the car was driven on for 18k miles without rotor warp. That said at this stage I take issue with how they have handled communication/the issue itself. Could have offered some discount on new parts, asked any number of questions or offered a part replacement or anything. Instead they stated parts just fail, which again I take issue with given that it's less than 5k miles and car is driven daily 2-3 miles back and forth to work and back and a 2k mile trip from LA to Chicago. So to help prevent anyone from wasted dollars and headaches with Gintani I figured you all should know of my experience getting my M3 serviced at their garage. For those of you that TL;DR - Gintani sucks at doing maintenance work on cars, warped rotors 5k after replacement and break work lead to failed vacuum sensor due to break fluid covering the sensor due to some tech that was careless. Before settling on Gintani, I shopped around extensively to find a reputable place to do a full brake job on my car (rotors, pads, sensors, and brake fluid flush). Starting with the dealer, I was quoted astronomical prices that I could in no way justify. Then, I decided to take a look at independent and some performance shops. When I got to this shop I was impressed by their facilities. They appear to have a good size staff. Its not just 2 or 3 guys running everything. They had a separate onsite Dyno/Tuning room. Their waiting area is nice and clean. I basically watched TV in their waiting room while they tuned my computer in my E39 BMW 540i. After the tune I was very impressed by the throttle response. It felt like a whole new car. My mid and top end seems to have a big surge of power compared to the stock tune. My gas mileage seems to have improved also when I drive conservatively. DO NOT GO HERE. I want to start off by saying that the owners son (Alex) is full of himself and discriminates customers who don't have exotic cars. His staff is more respectful then himself and his customer service is the worse I've seen especially if he picks the phone up. I came in for a tune and after telling me "bro you should of told me your car is a pain in the fucking ass" and I simply ignored his negative feedback to a customer and moved on. I tried contacting them years later to put my car back to stock due to the fact that I was going to PS2 my car, he starts segueing with me on the phone saying that I shouldn't come cause they're already busy enough etc. which lasted almost two years. I'm disgusted of the way he treats people who have cars that aren't hundreds of thousands of dollars which is just plainly stupid because he's loosing business. Have had my E9X M3 for three years now. I've researched, reviewed, and read so many forums about finding the proper tuning software for my vehicle. After hearing good things and jumping on a limited sale, I finally pulled the trigger on the E9X software for my M3 with Gintani. I must say, nothing but happy with my decision and had Nick and then Alex help me prepare for the tune. I set up a scheduled time to speak with Alex so he could manually set up my software on my vehicle and my experience was great. I had little hiccup due to my windows platform but once figured out, the process was seamless. Overall, I feel good with my tune(burble) and pleased with the service they have provided for me. This was a bit of a venture on my part to find the right software, but glad I was able to work with Alex and know my vehicle is in good hands if I need to re-flash or add a little corn to the mixture. The Gintani Team is really helpful and passionate about their work. I finally pulled the trigger on the E60 M5 Tuning software and after loading it on the car and I am nothing but happy with it. I have followed their instagram page for a few years and have been trying to find the right software for my car for a while. I am not someone who buys something for their car to test it out and from following gintani for the last few years, not only has their growth as a tuning company shown, but the quality of their tunes have established a reputable brand in the car community. I am happy I went with Gintani. Nick their sales rep was very helpful in answering all my questions and walking me through the installation process over the phone. I have personal experience with this shop for more than 3 years. I have saved receipts, text messages. I brought my car to them and they promised me they would finish it in 6 months. After 3 years later, they put used parts on my car when I paid for brand new retail pricing. Every time my car turned off automatically, I would need to take it back to them for service which they would charge more than $1,500. They drove my car recklessly on the freeway and streets. They forgot to close my hood and when they were driving it, the hood opened and cracked my hood in half, and they told me that it was my fault!!! I had to pay for the hood because they said they never touched that! They open and close hoods all day! They even used up most of my brand new tires when I told them to go easy on them, I came back to pick up my car and the tires were all burned up. Alex is a little dough boy that thinks he has powers...literally if you see this guy you will laugh. No manners, not a business man, nothing. Arno, on the other hand, is slightly better, but watch out because he is in charge of all the fraud that Gintani does to survive. If you want to keep your car, and not put any garbage parts on your car, DO NOT TAKE IT TO THESE GUYS. I know of 4 other people that their motors were blown up, and they had to tow their car out of Gintani to fix it, because they were not capable of fixing anything. Gintani is a fake show.
