Their magic was truly the way to go for the value of the refresh we couldn't be happier. After one tub was completed, we knew this was the right decision. I can't say enough about Buono's…read more I had heard good things about the company from other folks in my building, as well as on Yelp, and from the first moment I requested a quote through Yelp, Lou Buono was responsive, courteous, and an actual pleasure to communicate with. If you've worked with a lot of folks in the trades, this is very much the exception to the rule, and as such I was pleasantly surprised. Lou quickly got back to me with a very reasonable quote, and once we agreed on the details and a date, we were off and running. We had some damage and discoloration on our white oak floors, and we wanted to sand and refinish them. Lou was helpful as we got together the paperwork my building required to get it done. On the agreed upon day, his guys showed up on time, and while they weren't the excellent communicators that he is (their English wasn't great), they were conscientious and obviously knew what they were doing. Lou said the work would take 1-2 days, and they were done in just a day. We had a minor hiccup after the fact, but Lou immediately investigated the issue, and handled it well. I'll definitely be going straight to Buono's next time I need any flooring work done.

I made an appointment to have my tub reglazed in my apartment in downtown Jersey City. The morning of my appointment, I received a call from NJ Refinishing Tile and Tub stating that they had to cancel my appointment and would be unable to provide service "because the boss refuses to go to downtown Jersey City". I canceled plans that I had that morning and expected to have my tub reglazed. Instead, I had to receive that phone call 30 minutes before they were scheduled to arrive. This company is unprofessional, unethical, and untrustworthy. The rep stated that "my boss goes to other part of Jersey City, but he won't go downtown -sorry." Don't bother conducting business with this company because they may discriminate against you based on where you live or not show up after they change their mind for no apparent reason. Maybe I should contact the Better Business Bureau? What a waste of a morning and waste of time contacting NJ Refinishing Tile and Tub. Do Not Support This Business.
