Menu had lots of variety and the dessert specials were to die for. Everything was delicious - highly recommend the calamari appetizer and the complimentary bread was fantastic. I just about licked my dinner plate clean (get the duck breast)! Friends loved the fried chicken and the salmon. Wine list was great and service was wonderful.

Walking in we were seated promptly though we immediately noticed that the interior was extremely dark. Not a big deal but worth flagging for older folks who might have a hard time reading. Our server was friendly and relatively attentive and walked us through the menu. We started off with some classics including their bread and butter (which was tasty and delicious) and ordered their P.E.I Mussels ($19) along with their Fried Brussels Sprouts ($15) to share. The portions were quite large for everything (great if you're in a larger party) but we immediately noticed that the mussels they served seemed a bit off. Many of them were not opened all the way (a sign that they might not be the freshest or recently passed) and had a bit of a fishy taste to them. We ended up not finishing them and flagged them to our waiter. The other items, including the 14oz Ribeye ($43) and baby back ribs ($28) were better, though a bit one-note. The bay back ribs in particular were extremely saucy and the corn bread was dry and a bit tough to eat. I had to use a knife to split it apart as it kept crumbling every time I used a fork. Regardless, it seems like a popular spot for a reason and perhaps we just went during more of an off-night. I'd still recommend checking it out but avoiding the mussels if you go.

He also forgot my pickle which I asked for on the way out the door and is included with every sandwich. The place is empty and non inspiring. You really need to be on your game for a $15 sandwich in an empty store with no customers. With all that being said this sandwich was excellent but you pay for it. Definitely prepare for the shift of the boards. Walked in and it REEKED of cigarettes. It's always kind of dark in there, so it was just a dingy vibe when you add smoke. That said, I still got a sub - they've definitely slimmed down recently, but damn it was tasty. I also got a pint of the red hot pickles, which aren't that spicy, but still tasty. The owner was nice enough, I wouldn't say friendly, but didn't snarl at me. I do find it funny that none of the subs seem to have pickles on them, considering it's a pickle place! ‍ Here's hoping he fixes the porch, maybe spiffs up the place a little, and stays open for a long time - because the subs really used to be good!

It doesn't look like much on the inside. They do not have any inside seating, but there are two tables on the outside if you want to eat There. This is primarily at a to go spot. However, one thing that is cool, they actually have a working "space invaders" machine in a corner of the shop. My partner wanted a meatball slice, but they didn't have it that day, so, the lady offered to put meatballs on a garlic and mushroom slice. It was a big slice, too! My partner liked it very much. She said it was delicious. For dessert, she had a slice of the Godiva chocolate cake, or as we like to jokingly call it, the Godiva, death by chocolate cake. I haven't had it yet, but she says it is so rich and so very delicious! I wasn't very hungry today, so I just had the garlic knot meatball sliders. Excellent! You can definitely smell and taste the garlic, the garlic knots, themselves are tender, and the meatball in the middle is tender and very tasty. They also come with a good amount of cheese. There was a marinara sauce/gravy for dipping, that was also excellent. It was just an appetizer, but it filled me up. I ordered from them again, and I had the mushroom/meatball pizza that my partner had yesterday. It was delicious! For dessert, I had the fried dough, basically deep fried dough balls covered with powdered sugar. No, not diet food, but they are delicious. The price was very reasonable, and they even offer a military/veterans discount. There is a 4% "upcharge", to cover their costs if you are paying with plastic instead of cash. Not a big deal to us. We will definitely order from here again. Thank you!
