Over rated, long wait and wrong order! The pizza was a pure salt brine. First time and last time.

Ordered a pizza at 2 o clock. The kid was rude. My husband went in at 4 and they had no record of the order. The manager was rude. I called and the manager hung up on me. Never got a pizza a coupon ect. Horrible read more

First time eating at the Beavercreek location. Well worth the wait! Mario, the manager made us feel welcome. Stopped by our table 2 times making sure we were enjoying our experience. We have tried to place a carry out order at this place for weeks and we are told 2 to 3 hour wait for carry out! Then finally got thru on a Sunday with a 1 1/2 hr wait for carry out so we waited. The lady answering the phone sounded lethargic. Pizza was average. I don't like my sauce served on top of pizza so i scraped it off. Too expensive. I wouldn't recommend this pizza place to anyone. It's brand new, it hasn't been open for but a week and I would say management is already ruining this location. I've never had it before, and everyone always recommends it as a must eat when going to Chicago. I was expecting a lengthy wait when first entering. It was only an hour, which isn't hateful. But as we are being seated I was informed that it would take roughly an hour. Again not a huge deal, it's a thick pizza. But we also ordered salads to hold us over till we got our pizza, but the salads took 40min, for some reason? Our waitress, Shaina was awesome! She was attentive and always helped us when needed. We were visited by 2 managers in the evening. One was a middle aged lady who asked how everything was and then went to other tables to see how they were doing. The second manager was incredibly rude, and actually started yelling at our waitress right in front of us. So all in all roughly 3 hours of an overhyped pizza place, I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone, except maybe the waitresses, they were all professional and polite. read more

When I went in I was served by a young woman named Gwen and she did an excellent job!! She was polite, friendly, and funny and had our order served quickly. Ordered take out. Had to order three hours in advance. When we finally got the order it was soggy, lukewarm, and not to my liking. The kids requested alternative food, and the leftover pizza is still in our fridge three days later. Disappointed that we paid $60 for two pizzas when Domino's would have been better. read more

We were excited to relive the experience we had at the Chicago Giordano's. Their deep dish pizza is awesome and has so much sauce and cheese with other ingredients just complimenting everything. So when the Beavercreek store opened. I called and ordered a bit of everything we wanted. To start with, the calamari was pretty good with the sauce.It was fried properly but alone it was a bit tasteless. The minestrone soup was delicious, but the potatoes were very undercooked. The deep dish pizza had hardly any sauce or cheese. I recall Chicago's had enough cheese to pull and stretch from the pizza. Then the pasta with meat sauce had over cooked pasta and very little sauce. The crust was not totally cooked through. Lastly the meatball sub was okay. Needed the extra sauce it came with. I also noticed at least 6 of the waitstaff and 2 hostesses having a grand conversation during the 25 minutes I was there waiting to pick up the food. They did not leave the area at all. Interesting way of running a place. They definitely have a few things to work out. read more

Never order take out from here. First and last visit here. I ordered 2 pizzas online at 10:20 to pickup at noon. I arrived at 11:55 to be told I was early and they weren't scheduled to be out until 12:15. The place was only about a 1/5 full. The take out lady, who couldn't have cared less, kept repeating, "we have a 15 minute window" "we have a 15 minute window" No where on my order confirmation does it say a 15 minute window. It says Noon period. It didn't arrive until 12:17. The manager said their system only gives them the orders 45 minutes ahead of time (allegedly), even though I ordered an hour and forty minutes early. I told her maybe you need a better system to which she scoffed and half rolled her eyes and began to walk away. Mean while the takeout lady was snickering. Completely unprofessional behavior by both and they couldn't have cared less that I had to wait there 20 minutes for a pizza I had ordered nearly 2 hours early. Won't be back here again for any reason. They don't know what customer service means. read more

My review is based on the service I received and not on the actual food.....as I did not eat anything there. I got to the restaurant around 5:00 PM. I placed my order for carry-out and waited. At around 5:40 I asked the server if she could tell me how much longer the wait would be. She "pushed a button" and said she was asking in the back how much longer....she never gave me a time. Another server informed me it takes 45 mins for the deep dish to come out of the oven. I didn't know that when I placed the order or I would probably have just left. But I said I've waited this long, so it should be coming up soon. At 6:00PM I said this is a enough and asked for my refund as I still have no pizza. My first issue was not informing me of the wait. As 45 mins is a nice amount of time, it would be good to state that when people are placing orders, especially if they are doing it in person for carrying out. The second issue I had was the server who was checking to see how long my order was going to be. She never said anything and literally just looked at me after she said she was checking. Finally, when I asked to cancel my order no apology or nothing....no going to check to see if it might be coming out or anything. I would figure if you want to keep customers you would do a final check. Maybe the pizza is good and worth it....I doubt I'll find out so I'll just take the word of the other reviewers... read more

This is horrible !!!! So Angry! Called at 1:00 in the afternoon for a delivery at 6:00pm. At 6:30 called for status of pizza. Was told they were running 45 minutes late. Called back at 7:25 and was put on hold for 20 minutes. Its 7:45 and we still have no pizza. Managers name is Mario Ladler. He was curt and dismissive. I work at the large Air Force Base locally and will be informing all colleagues of this 5 hour pre-order window and still having an hour and half (if we even do ever get it) wait. And to pay $75.00 for three pizza's and then made to wait this long is not a reputable business. There are way too many pizza places in the area to put up with this. We finally received the pizza. It was luke warm, the large was not sliced, we had to slice it ourselves, and my son in law found a hair between the pizza and the cardboard. Decent taste but certainly not worth the aggravation or price. Will not be returning anytime soon. I don't normally file complaints, but this one couldn't go un-documented. We had to pre-pay the tip ($10.00), wish I hadn't done that. read more

I've had this previously in Indianapolis. Much better experience. I'm honestly disappointed because I was super excited to eat here. However, the service is lacking big time. We got here around 2. It took about 10 mins for anyone to come over and greet us. It took another 5-10 mins to get our drinks out. Servers were walking around not helping our waitress at all. She had a few other tables so we understand she was busy. Why isn't anyone helping her? The manager even came out of the kitchen made eye contact with me and my empty drink and just walked away. Never came and talked to us or grabbed me a refill. Server never really checked on us. Just a really disappointing experience. Sunny the bartender did come over midway and kindly checked on us. I appreciated his kindness and I would come back to sit at the bar with him. Two stars for sunny making the visit better and the appetizer was yummy. Pizza didn't taste as good as I remember. It's been open now for a couple months so we thought we would stop in Saturday for lunch and give it a try. I had read some reviews on wait times and figured all the kinks had been worked out by now. The place is industrial looking inside and pretty cool. The place was only about 20 percent full and we were informed by our waiter of deep dish wait times of 45 mins. This amazed me considering they were not even close to being busy. We decided on a thin crust which was a blazing fast 15 mins fewer. We also had the tomato bruschetta. Tomato is the key word. It was average at best with enough tomato for two dozen tacos. It had 3 pieces of bread with it. Flavor was bland and uneventful. The pizza was just ok. Sauce and crust separate the pizza places and the crust here was as good as a tombstone frozen pizza and the sauce had zero flavor. Maybe the deep dish is better but 45 min wait time is crazy when it's not busy. Price demands better. On a positive note my wife loved the house salad with lemon vinaigrette. Without that and a very good server named Dean it would have been 1 star. They saved it. read more

My family and I (4) of us arrived for dinner Saturday evening. We were seated within 30 minutes. Giordano's is one of our favorite eateries in Chicago and in Orlando, so we were excited to have this near us. We were not approached by our waiter for another 15 minutes, and then waited another 15 minutes to have our drinks. My husband's wine sat on the bar counter for an additional 15 minutes after that before the waiter remembered to bring it. Our deep dish takes 45 minutes, so we ordered appetizers. After 45 minutes, we had no appetizers! When we told the waiter, we were told there was a fryer backup (after seeing other tables receive their food). 20 minutes later we received our appetizers and after ANOTHER hour our pizza, which was lukewarm. My daughter, a server elsewhere, said that it was obvious our order had never been put in, and the waiter was quite frankly, in all of our opinions, unable to keep up and very forgetful. After receiving lukewarm food and long delays, with no apologies from the wait staff or management, we will not be back. Really sorry - we had looked forward to this. I recommend Giordano's elsewhere - this location does not live up to the standards! read more

Gave Giordano's a few chances before I wrote this review. My wife, son and I attempted to dine in three times. 1st time was a Friday evening and the wait was 2 hours and then 1.5 hour wait for our pizza to cook. 2nd was a Sunday early afternoon. Still a 1.5 wait and an hour for food. 3rd was a weekday evening with STILL an hour+ wait to be seated. This is for three guests, not a group of 10. All three visits had at least 4 tables available so not sure why the wait was so long. May help wait times if the indoor dining area expanded into the outdoor dining area, additional servers were on staff and the kitchen was large enough to support customer traffic. Our 4th experience we decided to order delivery. Placed our order this evening on a Saturday night at 6Pm for an 8pm delivery. Called at 815 for a status and was put on hold 3 times to find out our delivery had just left. We live a mile away from the restaurant and we didnt receive our order until 835pm. With all of this being said, I am giving 3 stars vs 2 because the pizza and wings are absolutely amazing. If leadership can find a way to become more efficient, handle the obviously larger than anticipated customer traffic and reduce seating times, I would be more than willing to write another review with additional stars. read more

Our family of 4 visited this location on a Fri night. The wait for a table was about 30 mins. The staff was pleasant. Our waitress was a STAR. Her name was Shatori. She immediately informed us that our pizza would take about an hour and that we can order appetizers. After we were seated we noticed the restaurant got extremely busy and She would continue to come to the table and update us refill our drinks and make sure that we were pleased. I had an issue with my salad and she took care of it immediately . She also gave us a free appetizers as a measure of good faith. The manager came around my table and asked us how the pizza was and how long it took. He was very pleasant and professional. The restaurant is just opening so our expectation was there would be a wait and there might be kinks that need to be worked out. Our family has been in Chicago several times and will definitely come back. The main motivation to come back to the restaurant just because of how kind Shatori was. My daughter lost her house key, and they took our info and called right before closing to let us know they had them!!! You just don't find customer service like this often! read more

I visited Giordano's in Beavercreek, Ohio today. It was my first time trying Chicago style pizza. When we walked in we were immediately greeted by the host and the manager Kelly. Both wore smiling faces, were very welcoming, gave an over view of the history, seated us in our booth and told us if we had any questions or needed anything to let them know. Our server quickly greeted us got our drinks and recommended the sampler appetizer to start with since we were considering a deep dish pizza that would take at least 45 minutes to prepare and finish. We were accommodated on refills without request and supplies (extra napkins and plates) for our entire meal. Kelly made sure to check on us and even provided a few laughs that was much needed while we ate. The food and atmosphere was just incredible! We were excited to learn that this place delivers also! So we left with our bellies full, leftovers and a takeout menu. I highly recommend Giordano' s for your next restaurant experience. read more
