2.5 hours and counting...for a pizza and salad!!! $50. These guys need to be better than this. This is not acceptable. Driver calls me to tell me he's at the wrong address and Ill have to call the store to figure it out. Poor customer service!! The person that answered the phone, Leslie, was rude and short tempered. The manager, Jesus, was non responsive when I complained about Leslie. All he could say was sorry and that my pizza was going to take another 30 minutes to deliver. Keep in mind I already waited 2hours. I have been patronizing Giordano's for over 20 years and I have never had a pizza have black stuff all over the crust that my hands looked like charcoal were on them. I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager Jesus and explained that I was not happy with the pizza. He advised that he could only give me a credit if I returned the pizza. I advised him that I lived in Calumet City and that it was an inconvenience for me to bring the pizza back to 97th & Western. He stated he would give me an free appetizer for the inconvenience. I continued to explain that I do live or work in the area of the restaurant and he got an attitude with me and said if I wanted a refund I would need to bring the pizza back. I went out of my way to patronize this restaurant to get poor service from the cook who prepared the pizza and the manager who was aware of the issue because the pan the pizza was cooked in was not cleaned very well. read more

This location has poor service. Our take out pizza order was incorrect as we paid for a large deep dish and got​ a large thin crust. We called ahead to exchange and the young lady on the phone asked if we could just eat it. We said no (we did not eat a slice) and she put us on hold for over 15 minutes. We placed another order with another pizarria, Lou Malnati's, and went to this location to return for refund. Turns out there was a line of people with screwed up orders. Nuf said. Manager found our pizza that had now been sitting for 45 min. and said here is your pizza. Wow, a cold pizza for $40 dollars. I called to place an order at 9:45pm and they told me that they are not accepting orders for delivery because they closed at 10pm, I had work in Gino's East pizzeria and also other major pizzerias during my college years and they policy was that if we close at 11pm we are still accepting any type of orders until 11pm, sometimes we used have people calling at 10:59 to place an order, if you won't accepted any delivery orders after certain time so do not specify that you close at 10pm because you don't!!! I love Giordano's but the customer service at this location was by far the worst! Manager should be out in the floor helping if they don't have enough staff to wait on people. Long wait for food to find out order was not even entered in the system. But of course a huge party was seated within minutes and food was ready for them when they came in. If I could give less than one star I seriously would. Been eating at Giordanos since I was a toddler and I USED to love their pizza considering they amongst many other Chicago Pizza places were known for the really good Deep dish pizza. Haven't eat at this locations before as well as I haven't been to a Giordanos in many years due to the fact that the last time I went the pizza was horrible and cold and the service was crappy! I went to this particular one last Sunday and was was extremely disappointed to say the least. My family and I waited entirely too long for our two pizzas (one medium thin crust cheese and the other a small sausage and mushro deep dish). I am aware that it takes a while for the deep dish and i also understand the restaurant industry as well. The manager was very rude and even worse, with all of three tables inside the establishment who were actually being waited on...the one and only server was very inattentive ‍. I tried my best to give them the benefit of the doubt but even after voicing my complaint and concern on our wait time to the manager, about seeing a table who walked in well after we had place our order, receive their food within moments of being there, I was given no apology for my wait. All he could say was that they pre-ordered and tha they were extremely busy. Mind you I have been in the service industry for quite some time and have also worked in a pizza place before, I understand to-go's and other issues very well. The only reason I got up to say anything was because after asking the server how much longer it would be, she quoted another 20 minutes after we had already waited close to 45 minutes....as I'm speaking with the manager literally seconds later she is bringing out our food....now I'm not only angry because the manager could simply apologize but also now, because the server LIED and then pretended like it wasn't a big deal. First time I ever tried to order a pizza from the Beverly location, I was told it would take 1hr to be ready for pick up! Second time we tried to order for delivery last night and called around 10pm. The person who answered cut me off before I can give my order to tell me they were not delivering and that they were closed?? Their business hours say they close at 11pm. When asked to speak to the manager the person rudely asked if I wanted to argue with him?? WFT? I wanted to let the manager know how terrible service and attitude this person was giving me on the phone. Tonight we ordered from Giordano's in Beverly. We completed an online order and went to pick up as usual. After picking up the pizza we realised that one topping had been left out and the fries were ice cold. I proceeded to talk to the manager who assured me a new pizza would be fired and ready in 18 minutes. No mention of bringing the bad pizza with me... Upon driving all the way back to 95th and Western i was told I needed the pizza to exchange for the new. Why couldn't i have been told that on the phone? It would have saved me gas and the headache of dealing with this! Then i was told that part of my order would still be fine at home and not offered any total replacement. My experience there... On Saturday, September 3rd, 2016, I made an online purchase for $58.01. (I usually order over the phone). I went to pick up my order and I was asked for my card and ID. There was a sign, stating that it was the policy. Without hesitation, I gave the female cashier my cards (she did not have a great attitude). She asked me if I had an online order. I informed her that it was. I thought she was verifying my cards, but she charged me, again, for my order. She gave me a receipt to sign. I thought it was part of the online ordering process. On Monday, September 5th, 2016 (Labor Day), I checked my bank account and I had two charges from Giordano's. I called the Beverly location and spoke with a manager. She assured me that within 5-7 business days, I would receive my overcharge back. On Saturday, September 11th @ 11:30am, I called again. I spoke with the same manager, who informed me to wait until later in the week. I told her that I would call back on Wednesday, September 14th. She said if the funds did not return to my account, that she would give me a cash refund. On Wednesday, September 14th, I called and spoke with a male manager. I told him the issue and he stated that Giordano's does not return funds back to cards. He informed me that I would have to stop by because the order was already closed. When I returned, he gave me $58 in cash. I visited this location a few times in the past and I have encountered not so pleasant attitudes. This whole situation was a HUGE inconvenience for me and I may never visit this location again. Giordano's is my favorite pizza EVER, but this is terrible. I was waiting for my refund for an extended period of time. In the future, I hope that the managers learn the correct refund policy, instead of making faithful customers wait for employee's errors. Say I ordered pizza at 7 and it's a two hour plus wait my pizza will sit in the warmer for 1 and 15 plus minutes. With the reputation this restaurant has I was certainly surprised at what I picked up. Nothing like the other locations I had visited. How can you mess up a cheese pizza? There was almost no cheese on it and the fries were tied up in a plastic bag. Why would anybody in their right mind put condiment packages in your food?!! So I asked the manager if he would come down or waive the delivery fee since it is taking 2 hours for delivery he was very nasty in his tone and said "No I am not reducing the delivery fee because every body has to wait." Must be a curse with the location. This is the second Giodano's to open in the same spot, yet they give Giordano's a bad name. They scimp on ingredients . You pretty much have to order double with garlic and spinach and even then you can hardly taste the garlic and the amount of spinach is miniscule. The food was ready right on time. It tasted great and they gave me exactly what I came for. I would've liked it if the food was prepared faster but that's an issue for Giordano's in general. It shouldn't take forty minutes to get lunch especially for something simple like alfredo or chicken Parmesan which me and my dad ordered. This isn't an issue for this location though, it's an issue with Giordano's as an entire chain. Good food though and they respected the timeline that they gave you. read more

Being the poor, working, student that I am, I really can't afford to shell out extra $$$ for pizza. However, once in a while I like to eat out. I've eaten Giordano's since I was in high school, but they've definitely changed. 2 stars because no line and I got my food right away. Once I got it, feeling the box I could tell it wasn't hot, but whatever. The spinach was rubbery, and the edges of the pizza had no cheese, which I find odd considering that's the main ingredient. I have ordered food from this place online about 10 times. Nine of the times there was no problem the 10th however. I'm waiting for the food, it's about an hour late. I call and ask about my order. The woman asks for my address. I give her the info and she tells me I'm not in the system. I ask her to check my confirmation number. She flat out refuses telling me if my addresses in the system my order isn't in the system. So she refers me to the manager. The manager comes on the line and asked for my address, he checks it and my address is not in the system.I ask him to check my confirmation number he refuses. I tell him I've already paid and I want my money back. He tells me to shut the f**k up, and hangs up on me. So I go into the restaurant, and the manager takes my confirmation number and looks it up. Two minutes later he comes back, someone pulled my order and it was on the counter getting cold. Had they checked my confirmation number all of that would have been avoided. Months later I order again for the 11th time. Food is delivered, cold. The delivery driver, doesn't even have the food in an insulated bag. read more

Now I really consider my reviews extremely fair because I render accolades when merited or tell about sub par service when it is given. I also want to thank those who take the time to share their experiences on yelp. I visisted this establishment three times. The first time was a celebration for my nephew's high school graduation, which was exceptional. The service was friendly and the pizzas were hot. The second time was carryout.....but at the last minute we decided to eat our pizza there. Low and behold, the server seated us, brought plates, and opened our box of pizza. Unexpectedly the smell of burned crust hit us in the face. The server was so kind. She quickly apologized for the overcooked pizza and said she will have the cooks make us another one. Management came out and apologized and gave a small discount for the inconvenience. We ate, the pizza was hot and delicious, so no harm done and no ill feelings. We were a bit concerned about the fact that if we would have done carryout, they would have knowingly let us leave with a burned pizza. Fast forward to the third visit today. We did carryout again and ordered pizza and calamari. The pizza was warm and the calamari was cooked until the point it was completely dried out and beyond cold. Although we did not let Giordanos know that we knew the food was cold and calamari was overcooked, we decided to write this location off and never return again. If you are doing takeout I just advise you show up a little earlier than the preparation time given and I can't express enough to check your order. read more

The manager came and asked me to move to the middle because he wanted that table for a party of four. I was so offended that I will not be returning. I don't eat pork so I'm familiar with the turkey alternatives in the area (Home Run Inn, Chuck's, Reggio's). This is the best by far!
