I have dined at Giordano's in Chicago, but this was my first time at this particular restaurant location. We were here for lunch. The restaurant is clean and the atmosphere is welcoming. Is definitely a good place for a date! Our server, Melanie, was exceptional! She helped us decide on the lunch menu to save us time, and it was a good choice!! We each got a personal deep dish pizza and a side. My salad had the house dressing, which was very tasty. The meal arrived with the sides, though I would have preferred to have the salad before the pizza. The only problem we had was the taste of the water. The water had a perfume taste that was even present in the iced tea. (The lemonade is not made with their water, so it was drinkable) Our server said the water taste was a citywide problem, and that it was safe to drink. Perhaps, but it was very unpleasant tasting. I think they should invest in a water filtration system (it is the water that prevented me from giving 5 stars). Fortunately, she didn't charge us for the iced tea. I would definitely like to return here, but I would bring my own water bottle. read more

We decide to finally try the new Giordano's on a Friday night around 7:45pm. Much to our surprise, we were able to snag a table without waiting. The restaurant is clean with a modern feeling to it. The seperate bar areas seemed roomy enough. There is also an outdoor eatting section when the northern Indiana weather allows it. We were both quite hungry and started with some house salads and cheese coveres breadsticks. The staff quotes you 45 minutes on a deep dish and that's pretty much the time frame it took. The house salads were ok. The cheese sticks with marinara were excellent and I would order those again. The pizza was good, but not enough to knock your socks off. Oley's would be a better choice for deep dish in Ft. Wayne. Miranda did an excellent job in checking in with us and provided good service through the entire meal. read more

Eh, they are ok. First time I tried them was in Chicago & wasn't impressed then. We ordered a deep dish with pepperoni and veggies. When we first got it, it wasn't that good. Only after we reheated the pizza the next day in the oven was it really good. But I shouldn't have to reheat pizza for it to be good. The wings were just ok as well. I stayed in a hotel down the street from this great place and kept driving by on way to a conference at the University. By Saturday night, l was tired of fast food and sandwiches. l read the reviews and thought why not? Let me Strongly Urge you to make this a regular in your dining out routine because l have not had better Rigatoni Bolognese anywhere!! I was seated in the bar and wait staff/bartender was attentive, so nice and quick with salad and the extra dressing l requested. Soft drink was quick, refilled without asking and then the star of the show arrived. A very large bowl of fragrant steaming Bolognese that was truly excellent! I really overate but could not stop myself. I paid the check and waddled out to the car feeling glad my hotel was near. The overall meal was very reasonable especially since it could have been shared. I am so sad not to live in Fort Wayne after visiting for 3 days because it is a wonderful small town experience with all the modern daily needs. The place has a decent ambiance, but otherwise not too much positive to say. The hostess was surly, which was an immediate turn off. We were rudely questioned about bringing in a thermos, the hostess saying, "what's up with that?" while giving us a big dose of stink-eye. I explained that my wife needs to drink her own medicinal tea and asked if this is a problem. She said that their policy is not to allow outside food or beverage but she'll let it slide given the circumstances. I should point out that we don't look like rowdy kids bringing in our own booze, but rather, we're seniors. We nearly walked out but decided to give it a try anyway, later realizing that we should have followed our instincts. The server was fairly efficient, although not particularly friendly. We both ordered lunch specials which seemed to be reasonably priced until we saw the portions which were small. The food taste was meh... We finally came to the Fort Wayne location to take advantage of the savor Fort Wayne deal and it was a great deal!! Choice of tow salads house or Caesar. We chose house and it came with a lemon vinaigrette. The. You have your choice of up to four different pizzas. We chose the 10' stuffed crust with four toppings. Then you have a choice of dessert, tiramisu or cookie skillet we chose the cookie. All for $25. Wow wow wow. Ordered it well in advance to us being hungry and it took about 45' at 1:30 in the afternoon on a Friday. Not bad and expected as I've been to the home in Chicago many times. I've also had one sent to me from Chicago before they opened here. When I arrived it was ready and there was a slight wait due to others picking up their orders. No biggie. They def follow protocol for the pandemic and I felt safe. Staff was friendly, even when I walked to the bathroom, they greeted me and asked me if I needed to be seated. The bathrooms were clean and modern looking that matched the interior of the building. The colors match the logo color scheme of black and red. When my turn was up the guy made sue my order was correct took his time bagging and making sure I didn't have any questions. Everything was packaged perfectly. Getting home we heated the pizza up cause we ate it for dinner and it was easy at 345 for 20'. The cheese oozed out of the slices that we took and placed on our plates bad the crust was crisp and the pizza was hot. The toppings were so fresh bad didn't override the pizza sauce and cheese. It was perfect and soooo tasty. The house salad had little rainbow colored tomatoes sliced on the side And grated Parmesan cheese along with mixed greens and the dressing on the side. And it was fantastic. Fresh, crisp and very light tasting with that dressing which by the way I could have drank out of the jar!! Don't ask for any other dressing. It was also good on the pizza!! Oh and that cookie skillet we heated up and put our ice cream and chocolate sauce on top and it didn't disappoint. It tasted fresh and just the right sweetness to end our meal. We had leftovers for sure. And I'm sure it'll taste better the second time around. If you've never been or haven't been to this location GO GO GO!!!! It is def highly recommended. Went for the "express" lunch. It took 30 minutes for the personal pizza to come out. Also, the salad was laughably small. Decided to give it another shot for dinner. Called ahead to preorder a pizza for dine-in. The hostess informed me that they don't allow that on weekdays. The pizza is good but not worth sitting at a table for 90 minutes. First visit to a Giordanos. Friday evenings can always be busy in restaurants. That said. Most anticipate the higher volume in business and staff accordingly. We arrived at 5:30pm, were seated promptly and given menus; our drink orders were taken and delivered promptly - so far so good. A short time later our food order was taken. Then things went downhill. After waiting 30 minutes a different server introduced herself and wanted to take our order. We told her our order had been taken already by a different server. She came back and said our order would be ready in 20 minutes! A few minutes later she brought out an order to us, but it was the wrong order! We told her we had been waiting for our order for close to an hour. About 10 minutes later she came back with our order. The pizza was wonderful and their crust is similar to a pie crust as opposed to a chewy pizza dough. We really enjoyed the pizza and will give Giordano's another try, assuming this visit was not the norm as far as service goes. read more

When reviewing a restaurant you have to factor in all variables. Communication and experience are important beyond food taste/freshness. In our first experience at Giordano's a few weeks ago we were very underwhelmed. We ordered a pizza online at around 4:15 that was set for pickup at 6:30. When I arrived at 6:25 they said it would be 10 more minutes. I observed pure operational chaos over the next hour that I waited. People were ver frustrated across the board. After I finally got my pizza and took it home it was only okay. Lou Malnati's is just so much better. The pizza itself was okay, but the terrible communication and service and lack of apology mean we won't probably go back. read more

This was my 2nd visit here. This time for a deep-dish Meats pizza with a coworker. We ordered Calamari and Cheezy bread. The calamari was lightly fried with a decent flavor. I admit I would have liked it fried a bit longer, although it was fully cooked. The cheesy bread was very light and fluffy. I wasn't a fan of them at all. We're talking cheesy, garlic, and oil bread here. This was like a diet version lol. My coworker and I both tried a couple of beers. Really great beer variety which is always a plus for most. Lastly, the pizza! Lots of meat and enough sauce but not too much. The almighty toppings to bread to sauce ratio was fulfilled!!!! The pizza was cooked throughout with crispy edges and lots of melty cheese. The small size was plenty for 2 hungry hard workers and a great price for dinner in this ridiculous economy. The Pizza is good. I've only done carry out. I went when they first opened, so the pickup wait time was extended, to be expected. I tried it again months later. I called in my order for pickup ahead of time, so that it would be ready. I waited in the pick up spot area. I called in and gave them my parking spot number. Workers were coming out and delivering other people's food that had come after me. They kept looking at me, but not once did anyone ask if I was waiting on food. I was patient waiting 25 minutes! to pick up frozen pizzas. I went inside and asked did they have my 4 frozen pizzas ready? They apologized and pulled them out of the fridge and put them in a bag. It took about two minutes or less. The pick up service should be a convenient way to enjoy the pizza, but it wasn't. read more

We stopped at Giordano's for the first time. We ordered a large veggie pizza. After waiting for 45 minutes we got the pizza and it had jalapeños, which were not listed on the menu. I can't eat jalapeños. My mouth was burning .we called the manager and he came in and implied that we were lying and didn't know the difference between green peppers and jalapeños. Thanks We had 4 people at the table eating and every one agreed that it has jalapeños. The manager said the broccoli had red pepper flakes or something. My wife eats jalapeños and she tried a piece of jalapeño and a piece of broccoli. Both were spicy but the jalapeño were much spicier. She even asked the server to try it and he said he wasn't allowed. Then the manager had the audacity to send the waiter with small cup of jalapeños and green peppers to show us the difference! REALLY??? They said they will give us half price on one of the pizzas. The waiter wasn't happy with the idea but he did what his manager said . To settle the issue we agreed to get half price on the pizza . The waiter was very good and attentive . I would never return to a place where they accuse you of being a liar. read more

This was my third time here. We wanted to get some frozen pizzas because on our Thanksgiving we eat pizza and watch football. So then we had to go there to get the frozen pizzas we went ahead and ate there too. Upon entering we were mainly sat in a booth and waited on for drinks. We put in an appetizer order and ordered the sampler. The sampler consisted of chicken nuggets boneless and fried, garlic bread, and cheese wedges. It came with different sauces to dip. I thought all three samples were extremely good, but my favorite was the garlic bread. We then ordered the lunch menu special for $8.65. My husband ordered the single crust pizza with chicken noodle soup. He said the pizza was OK but next time he'll order the double crust. Chicken noodle soup though it was really good. Both of the kids ordered spaghetti and the Caesar salad. And both really liked it. I ordered chicken club sandwich and a house salad but I got ranch dressing because I'm not big on vinaigrette dressings. I thought it was good but I felt like the sand was just missing something. The salad was excellent. It was fresh and crisp. Our service was outstanding. He made sure our drinks were filled at the proper time all of our stuff was at the table that we asked for but he wasn't too overpowering. We took home a sausage and pepperoni pre-baked pizza for Thanksgiving which we've had at home before and they are excellent. This is a place that is good for family or even couples or even by yourself. I would definitely recommend a double classic pizza for what they're known for. Visited here on a Saturday afternoon. Wasn't terribly busy which was good. I've visited a few Chicago locations, plus ordered the frozen mail order pizzas. So yeah, I've had the pizza in pretty much all it's forms. We ordered the "meat" pizza today. The medium took about 30-35 minutes to arrive to our table which is normal. It was served on a flat pizza pan...not the deep pan like I've had in the Chicago locations. TBH the pizza could have been hotter, and I'm wondering if being put onto a flat pan played a part in cooling it off too quick? Other than being just "warm" it taste really good. It was loaded pretty well with the meats, but could have used a little more cheese IMO. Restaurant was clean, and tables busses quickly. As far as co-vid policies: It's none of your business--we're free to make our own decisions and shouldn't be forced to do anything against our own free will. Don't like that? Stay home. read more
